Devoted Trump Supporter Corey Stewart Wins Virginia GOP Senate Nomination – WRIC
.

.
A conservative provocateur and supporter of President Donald Trump won Virginia’s Republican primary Tuesday in the U.S. Senate race, and he has promised to run a “vicious” campaign against incumbent Tim Kaine.

No Democrats challenged Kaine, a former governor and 2016 vice-presidential candidate, for his party’s nomination.

Republican Corey Stewart beat state lawmaker Nick Freitas and Chesapeake minister E.W. Jackson. Stewart had long been on the fringe of the state’s GOP; now the win makes him the standard-bearer of a deeply divided party that hasn’t won a statewide race in nearly a decade…

Pro-Trump Danny Tarkanian Wins Nevada GOP Congressional Primary – The Hill

Danny Tarkanian is projected to win his Republican congressional primary on Tuesday in the race to replace outgoing Rep. Jacky Rosen (D-Nev.) in November.

The Associated Press called the race for him at 9:30 p.m. PDT.

Tarkanian, who is fresh off a narrow defeat in the district south of Las Vegas in 2016, overcame nine Republicans challengers to win the primary Tuesday. Rosen, a freshman lawmaker, is vacating her seat to run for Senate.

The Nevada businessman was originally running as a GOP primary challenger to incumbent Sen. Dean Heller (R-Nev.) but switched to run for the House seat after being urged by President Trump.

Tarkanian, the son of legendary University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) basketball coach Jerry Tarkanian, received an endorsement from Trump after announcing that he would run for the 3rd District’s open seat…

Rep. Mark Sanford Loses In South Carolina Primary After Trump Urges His Ouster – Business Insider
.

.
U.S. Representative Mark Sanford, a vocal critic of President Donald Trump, lost a Republican congressional primary in South Carolina on Tuesday, after Trump urged voters to punish Sanford’s disloyalty by tossing him from office.

A few hours before polls closed, Trump tweeted that Sanford was “nothing but trouble” and “very unhelpful to me.” He backed Sanford’s pro-Trump challenger, state legislator Katie Arrington, for November’s congressional elections.

Arrington, who made a campaign issue of Sanford’s criticism of Trump, won 50.6 percent of the vote to Sanford’s 46.5 percent with almost all ballots counted. That just crossed the 50 percent threshold to avoid a runoff later this month between the top two contenders…

Democrat Tom Steyer Caught Using More Felons For Renewable Energy Campaign – Daily Caller

A Tom Steyer-led campaign to push renewable energy on Arizona electricity customers is hiring more convicted felons than originally anticipated, a discovery that endangers residents and violates state law.

A heated battle is underway to reform Arizona’s energy mix. Clean Energy for a Healthy Arizona is an environmentalist campaign working on the ground to require utilities in the state obtain 50 percent of their electricity from renewable sources, such as wind and solar, by 2030. To make this is a reality, the green energy campaign must amend the state constitution. Supporters are currently working to collect 225,963 valid voters’ signatures by July in order to have a referendum on the 2018 ballot.

However, not everything has run smoothly for the renewables campaign.

Financial reports in April revealed that Clean Energy for a Healthy Arizona was solely funded by NextGen Climate Action, an environmentalist group founded and bankrolled by billionaire activist Tom Steyer…

Slimeball Andrew McCabe Sues FBI, Justice Department And Inspector General – Washington Times

Former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe filed a lawsuit Tuesday against the FBI, the Justice Department and its inspector general, alleging the Trump administration violated procedures when it fired him in March just hours before his retirement.

In the 36-page complaint filed in federal court in the District of Columbia, his attorneys argue that the Justice Department is refusing to hand over documents relating to the policies and procedures related to Mr. McCabe’s dismissal because it fears further litigation.

The Justice Department cited “lack of candor” as a reason for its dismissal of Mr. McCabe on March 16, just before his scheduled March 18 retirement. Mr. McCabe had worked at the FBI for more than two decades, but the firing upended Mr. McCabe’s ability to collect his benefits and pension early.

“We don’t create or adjudicate under secret law or procedure,” David Snyder, an attorney for Mr. McCabe, told The Associated Press…

The total was up 5.2 percent in current dollars (3 percent adjusted for inflation) from the estimate of $389.64 billion for 2016.

“Americans’ record-breaking charitable giving in 2017 demonstrates that even in divisive times our commitment to philanthropy is solid,” said Aggie Sweeney, chair of Giving USA Foundation, which publishes the annual report. Twitter Shuts Down Black Conservative C.J. Pearson After Falsely Claiming He’s Only 13 Years Old – Conservative Firing Line

On Monday, Twitter shut down the account for C.J. Pearson, a very outspoken young black conservative Trump supporter. Twitter said it shut down his account after it “determined” that he’s 13 years old and therefore too young to use their platform. There’s only one problem – Pearson is actually 15 years old.

According to Big League Politics:

Pearson initially reached fame in 2015 on the video-sharing website YouTube, where he shared his conservative, anti-Obama views. Since then he has become a social media powerhouse, with nearly 400,000 likes on Facebook and 135,000 followers on Twitter.

Redskins Replacement Players From 1987 To Get Super Bowl Rings – Washington Times

David Windham never thought of himself as a “scab.” He just wanted to play football.

When NFL players went on strike in 1987, Windham was one of the “replacements” who crossed the picket lines for a chance to chase a football dream. For three weeks, Windham and the other replacement Redskins practiced at the team facility, wore the burgundy and gold on game days and played in front of the RFK Stadium crowd.

The replacement Redskins went 3-0 during the strike, then returned to obscurity when Doug Williams, Art Monk and the other regulars came back and put together their run to a Super Bowl title. Aided by the replacements’ winning streak, the regular Redskins cruised into the playoffs and on to a championship – a debt the team is acknowledging with a ceremony Tuesday in Ashburn to present Super Bowl rings to the long-overlooked contributors.

After the strike, Windham fared better than most, spending the rest of the season as part of the Redskins’ reserve squad…

Argentina’s Peso Is Collapsing Again – Zero Hedge

Just a few short days after agreeing a record bailout by The IMF, Argentina’s currency is back in freefall, collapsing to more than 26 pesos per dollar as Argentine truckers plan a national strike on Thursday that investors fear will push the government to fold on reforms… and growing anxiety over BRCA’s decision.

Companies rejected demand for 27% wage increases from truck drivers, Hugo Moyano, leader of the nation’s truckers union, says in press conference, confirming plans for a nationwide strike on Thursday.

Additionally, it appears BCRA’s decision to withdraw its USD5b daily offer shook the FX market. The central bank was absent from the market on Friday and the peso had its biggest drop in two weeks. BCRA decides monetary policy tomorrow, in first meeting after government and International Monetary Fund agreement.

He bit off more than he could chew.

The two unidentified combatants got into a scuffle inside the Utica Avenue 4/5/6 station in Crown Heights at about 10 p.m. Saturday, police said.

The men first circled one another and postured while a crowd of onlookers egged them on, according to graphic cell-phone footage posted to YouTube.

“Just swing!” one spectator can be heard shouting.

Other commuters simply walked through the battle as though nothing was going on.

Things then got ugly when the taller of the two combatants pinned the shorter one behind an MTA vending machine.

The shorter man twisted his arm around his foe and socked him once in the head…

Facebook Is Hiring “News Credibility Specialists” That Will Pass Judgment On Which Sites Are “Credible” And Which Sites Are Not – Washington Standard
.

.
The war on “fake news” is about to go to an entirely new level. According to media reports, Facebook has been seeking to hire “news credibility specialists” that will be tasked with “evaluating” which news publishers are “credible” and which are not.

If the goal was just to simply filter out the handful of websites that purposely publish fake news stories, that would be fine.

But as we have seen so many times in recent years, these types of programs inevitably discriminate against conservative viewpoints. Facebook is highly liberal, and they will be hiring from a California talent pool that is also highly liberal. And liberals invariably consider liberal viewpoints to be more “credible” than conservative viewpoints…

A Crank Called Colorado Police To Shut Down Kids’ Lemonade Stand, And It Worked – The Federalist

There is nothing more American than little kids in the neighborhood running a lemonade stand. It’s not a European thing, nor is it a Chinese thing. Only in America.

For generations, lemonade stands have become a staple of summer and, like apple pies, one of the best things to demonstrate the American spirit: earning your own spending money through entrepreneurship.

That’s why Jennifer Knowles, a Denver mom of three boys, thought it was a good idea to have her boys run a lemonade stand in their Stapleton, Colorado, neighborhood this past Memorial Day. She hoped to teach her boys lessons she learned when she had her own lemonade stand as a little girl – entrepreneurship, responsibility, and the value of running your own business.

Her boys decided to take it a step further: they planned to donate all proceeds from their lemonade stand to a charity organization called Compassion International…

Transportation Security Administration (TSA) agents are facing heavy criticism on social media after a video of a 96-year-old woman in a wheelchair being searched by agents at Washington Dulles International Airport was seen by almost 9 million people last month.

“I was just shocked. I’ve traveled with her before, I’ve been in a wheelchair myself unable to walk through the machines and I’ve never had that kind of a pat-down ever. I was just shocked. Federal officers arrested 156 illegal immigrants and other people eligible to be deported from around the Chicago area over a six-day period, Homeland Security announced Tuesday.

It’s the latest sweep to target “sanctuary city” jurisdictions, which refuse some level of cooperation with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Chicago and Cook County, Illinois, have some of the most generous sanctuary policies in the country.

Trump Administration Repeals Obama-Era Rule Mandating States Comply With Greenhouse Gas Policy – Daily Caller

President Donald Trump’s administration repealed a rule forcing states to comply with a policy monitoring greenhouse gas levels from tailpipes of American automobiles.

The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) signed a final rule May 22 that eliminates a mandate requiring state agencies to establish emission targets, calculate their progress toward those targets, and determine a plan of action if they failed to make progress during a performance period.

The rule repealed the performance management measure assessing the percent change in tailpipe carbon dioxide emissions on the Greenhouse Gas (GHG) measure. It also measured total annual tons of carbon emissions from all on-road mobile sources.

States and other locals across the country can still pursue similar actions locally. The repeal of the GHG measure does not affect implementation of the other national performance management measures states are responsible for administering…

Supreme Court Rejects Challenge By Planned Parenthood To Arkansas Abortion Law – The Hill

The Supreme Court on Tuesday left in place an Arkansas law that restricts medication-induced abortions, refusing to hear a challenge brought by Planned Parenthood. The court refused to hear the case without providing an explanation.

Planned Parenthood of Arkansas and Eastern Oklahoma had challenged the law, and compared it to a measure in Texas struck down by the Supreme Court in 2016. It argued the law is medically unnecessary and would make Arkansas the only state to effectively ban medication abortion, a common method of early abortion that has been safely used by more than two million American women since 2000.

British Judge Calls For Banning The Sale Of Large, Pointed Kitchen Knives – PJ Media

The UK is in the midst of an epidemic of knife attacks so, naturally, the idea is being floated to ban them. Crown Court Judge Nic Madge said in a speech that there should be a nationwide program to file down the points of large kitchen knives and to ban their sale.

Telegraph:

Judge Madge told the assembled judges, barristers and court staff: “These offences often seem motiveless – one boy was stabbed because he had an argument a couple of years before at his junior school.”

He said laws designed to reduce the availability of weapons to young would-be offenders had had “almost no effect”, since the vast majority had merely taken knives from a cutlery drawer. He said: “A few of the blades carried by youths are so called ‘Rambo knives’ or samurai swords. They though are a very small minority.

After the attacker brought Feliciano to the ground, he reportedly tried to stab him with the scissors. Feliciano quickly pulled out his concealed firearm and reportedly fired off four or five shots. After discharging his firearm Feliciano said he put his gun on top of his vehicle and called police to report what had just happened…

The Death Of Britain – Robert Spencer

Two recent arrests in Britain could serve as its epitaph.

The first, as captured in this video, was that of a middle-aged woman named Amy who was arrested on Wednesday at her home. Amy herself began filming with her phone as police demanded that she let them in. When Amy asked them whether she was going to be arrested and asked them what the charge was, they refused to answer, and simply repeated their demand that she let them in, threatening to break down the door if she didn’t.

Watching the video, one shares Amy’s confusion and fear at being confronted by police at her door at nine o’clock in the morning. Then when she does open the door, she is told she is under arrest. A young male policeman bellows, “Do not resist us!” He and his female partner roughly handcuff Amy and lead her away.

Last month, Amy confronted London police in Hyde Park – as you can see in this video — where Muslims were placing down their prayer mats on the walkways and conducting public prayer…

1 Million Bikers Ride Into D.C. To Pay Homage To Fallen Heroes – Breitbart
.

.
As many as one million bikers rode into the nation’s capital on Memorial Day weekend during the annual Rolling Thunder motorcycle rally to honor the men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice so that Americans can enjoy the freedoms we have today.

It is the 31st year that bikers from across the country have joined the Rolling Thunder annual trek that started as a campaign to increase awareness about prisoners of war in Vietnam and has grown to a movement that is not only an iconic ritual but a force that has led to legislation to honor the U.S. military 365 days a year.

Kirt Olson rode in the crowd of bikes that traveled from the Pentagon to downtown D.C., forming a wave of bikers for as long as the eye could see…

UK Protesters Flood The Streets To Demand The Release Of Imprisoned Journalist Tommy Robinson – Gateway Pundit

Protesters in the UK have flooded Downing Street to demand the release of independent journalist Tommy Robinson.

Robinson, 35, was arrested in the UK on Friday for suspicion of breaching the peace while livestreaming a report on the trial of a child grooming gang. He is now serving a prior 13 month suspended sentence for a similar offense.

In this dystopian nightmare, the father and husband was transported to jail to begin his sentence just hours after his arrest – without the ability to appeal the judge’s decision.

Supporters of Robinson immediately called for a protest to take place the following day and hundreds have answered the call.

The UK government had attempted to silence any conversation about his situation by issuing a ban against the press covering the case. Unfortunately for their plan, they cannot control social media and their effort appears to have had a Streisand Effect…

Bill Nye Proposes ‘Free-Market’ Tax On Cow Farts – PJ Media
.

.
On Monday, mechanical engineer-turned-science TV host Bill Nye called for a government-mandated “fee” on cow farts. He even had the gall to refer to this tax as a “free-market” proposal.

“Well, this is what we can do and it’s a win-win: to have a fee on carbon,” Nye suggested. “So if you are raising livestock and producing a lot of carbon dioxide with your farm equipment and the exhaust from the animals, then you would pay a fee on that and it would be reflected in the price of meat, reflected in the price of fish, reflected in the price of peanuts.”

Nye told the Daily Beast’s Marlow Stern that this “would be a free-market way to reckon the real cost of a meat diet on the world.”…

FBI’s Embedded Trump-Campaign Spy ‘Vanished’ In Sept. 2017; Is Halper Dead Or Playing Dead? – True Pundit

Stefan Halper is officially missing. And he has been for a long time. The shocking revelation adds more intrigue to an already mysterious and illicit story unfolding inside the FBI. It would appear someone with top access in the FBI likely tipped Halper off in the fall of 2017 to go underground, or perhaps something worse is at play.

“He went underground,” one federal law enforcement source said. “We don’t think he is dead but he might be playing dead.”

Halper is a professor at the University of Cambridge in the UK. No one has seen him there in months. Halper is an American citizen living in the UK. With an expertise in Chinese culture and commerce, Halper could be somewhere in Asia, one source said.

And FBI sources said they fear he’s “in the wind.” Just like a cheap spy novel.

Sources said they have canvassed Halper’s associates and relatives in Virginia and West Virginia and they do not know Halper’s current whereabouts…

Comcast Corp. on Wednesday confirmed that it is considering and preparing to make what it called a “superior” all-cash bid for large parts of 21st Century Fox, controlled by the Murdoch family, in a challenge to the Walt Disney Co.’s $52.4 billion deal for the same businesses.

The cable giant, which owns NBCUniversal, had in December bowed out of the bidding process just before Fox accepted the Disney deal, which includes the 20th Century Fox movie and TV studio, all the international pay TV properties including its stake in Sky, as well as a number of other assets.

Comcast said it would offer to buy the same assets after the spinoff of what has been dubbed “New Fox.”…

Dangerous Times For The Constitution And Freedom – Bruce Thornton

While We the People distract ourselves with porn stars and royal weddings, the cracks in our Constitutional order continue to multiply and widen.

Evidence continues to mount that a sitting president, Barack Obama, colluded in using the nation’s security and surveillance apparatus to subvert the campaign and then presidency of a legitimately elected candidate and president.

This effort consisted of numerous illegalities: a mole planted in Donald Trump’s campaign; a FISA warrant granted on the basis of false opposition research paid for by his rival; the outgoing president’s expansion of the number of people allowed to unmask the identity of Americans mentioned in passing during surveillance; a rogue FBI director, James Comey, who illegally usurped prosecutorial powers to exonerate a felonious Hillary Clinton; and other FBI agents colluding in the plot to damage Trump.

And don’t forget a Deputy Attorney General appointing the close friend of the fired and disgraced Comey as a special counsel to investigate the non-crime of “collusion,”…

Deutsche Bank To Fire 10,000 Employees – Zero Hedge

Well that escalated fast: one month after Bloomberg reported that Deutsche Bank would cut 1,000 jobs in the U.S., roughly 10% of its total U.S. labor force, as part of new CEO Christian Sewing’s restructuring process, the WSJ this morning writes that executives at the biggest German lender have “zeroed in” on plans to eliminate close to 10,000 jobs, about one in 10 employees, as part of the bank’s epic cost-cutting scramble.

The latest plan, part of a process that has divided senior executives and left investors unconvinced, “would extend into 2019, follows months of thorny debate over how fast and deep job losses should be at the beleaguered German lender.”

So far investors remain unconvinced the plan will work, and as a result the bank’s shares have fallen by nearly a third this year, making DB stock one of the worst performing European stocks, and at its lowest since a crisis of confidence hit the bank in late 2016.

Meanwhile, high-level clashes over staffing and budgets and conflicting opinions from outside investors and bank executives reveal the depth of Deutsche Bank’s continuing struggles…

Trump Administration Moves To Ban Federally Funded Clinics From Giving Abortion Referrals – The Hill

Family planning clinics that refer patients for abortions or share locations or finances with abortion providers will be ineligible for funding through a decades-old federal family planning program, the Trump administration announced Tuesday.

President Trump is expected to tout the proposed restrictions Tuesday evening during his speech at an annual fundraising gala for the Susan B. Bank Profits Soar To Record $56 Billion On Tax Cuts – Washington Examiner

Bank profits soared to a record $56 billion in the first three months of 2018, federal regulators announced Tuesday, as tax cuts stoked the already hot industry.

Profits would have been a record even if banks’ tax rates had remained the same, Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation Chairman Martin Gruenberg estimated, but the GOP tax law tacked on roughly $6.6 billion in additional profits.

Altogether, bank net income is up more than a quarter over the year. For community banks, the increase is nearly a fifth.

The good news for the banking industry came the same day as the House is scheduled to deliver another victory to small and regional banks by sending a bill that would reduce their regulatory burdens to President Trump’s desk.

Congressional liberals have argued that banks’ profitability means that they should not be given regulatory relief…

Trump To Sign Rollback Of Leftist Dodd-Frank Banking Rules – Washington Times

The White House said Tuesday night that President Trump will sign into law a sweeping overhaul of bank regulations “as soon as possible” to help boost the economy by spurring more lending from community banks to small businesses.

“This is a really important win,” said a senior administration official. “This is another milestone in our efforts to revitalize the American economy.”

The president hopes to sign the measure into law before Memorial Day, administration officials said.

The House voted 258 to 159 to approve the legislation Tuesday, giving the president a chance to make good on his campaign pledge to “do a big number” on the Dodd-Frank Act of 2010 that cracked down on the banking industry.

House leaders voted on the compromise bill, which had support from moderate Senate Democrats, in exchange for a promise to vote later this year on a broader set of House-passed regulatory rollbacks. Senate Democrats have said they will oppose further changes…

Sexually Transmitted Diseases Reach All-Time High In Democrat-Run California, Leading To Spike In Stillbirths Due To Syphilis – USA Today

DHS Shuts Big Loophole To Deter Illegal-Immigrant Students, Workers – Breitbart

Federal officials are closing a little-known loophole in immigration law which allows millions of foreigners to dodge penalties for overstaying their student or seasonal-work visas.

The prior 1997 rules did not start counting the length of a person’s overstay until a federal enforcement agency first formally recognized that the person had not gone home on time. The new rules clearly say the overstay clock will start when a foreign student’s course is complete, or when a foreign employee’s seasonal work-permit expires.

The new policy is important because it shows foreigners the penalty they will get for breaking the overstay rules – and it provides a clear mechanism for immigration officials to prove the penalty is proper.

Under current law, once the overstay count reaches 180 days, the overstaying person is punished by getting locked out of the United States for the subsequent three years or ten years, or permanently…

Hundreds Of Millions Stolen After Wave Of Transfer-Heists Rock Mexican Banks – Zero Hedge

Mother, Father And Four Children Bomb Three Churches In Indonesia – CNS

“Violence and terrorism should not be associated with any religion,” the bloc of Islamic nations declared on Sunday, condemning a series of suicide bombings on Christian churches in Indonesia reportedly carried out by six members of the same family – mother, father, two teenage sons, and daughters aged nine and 12.

At least 11 people were killed and more than 40 wounded in the blasts that targeted three churches in Indonesia’s second-largest city, Surabaya, minutes apart on Sunday morning.

Indonesian police said the father of the family detonated a car bomb in the grounds of a Pentecostal church, while his two sons, ages 16 and 18, carried out a bombing on two motorcycles near the entrance of a Catholic church. His wife and two daughters, whom he had dropped off before heading for his target, bombed a Presbyterian church.

In addition to the 11 victims, all six members of the family were killed in the blasts. Police said the family had recently returned from Syria, via Turkey which had deported them…

Making History In Jerusalem – Joseph Klein
.

.
The United States is officially opening its Israeli embassy in Jerusalem today, making May 14, 2018 an historic day for the Jewish State of Israel.

Other U.S. presidents have made campaign promises to move the embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, only to abandon their promises in deference to the foreign policy establishment and “international” opinion.

In moving forward to fulfill his promise to move the embassy to Jerusalem, President Trump ignored the foreign policy establishment and “international” opinion, much as President Harry Truman did when he gave de facto recognition to the newly created State of Israel only eleven minutes after Israel’s proclamation of its independence…

Australian Man Saved 2.4 Million Babies In 60 Years – Daily Wire

An Australian man who’s estimated to have saved the lives of some 2.4 million babies was forced into retirement on Friday. James Harrison, an 81-year-old dubbed the “man with the golden arm,” has extremely rare blood, which contains antibodies that fight hemolytic disease of the fetus and newborn (HDFN).

In an act of service, Mr. Harrison gave blood once a week for 60 years, totaling in over 1,000 donations. According to the Australian Red Cross Blood Service, Harrison’s blood has likely saved 2.4 million babies’ lives.

HDFN occurs when a pregnant woman’s blood is incompatible with her unborn baby’s. Essentially, the mother’s blood attacks the blood cells of her baby in the womb, and without Harrison’s supply of Anti-D, the baby will suffer from severe brain damage or die.

“Australia owes a big thank you to James Harrison, Australia became the first country in the world to be self-sufficient in the supply of Anti-D, and cases of HDN are rare,”…

Philadelphia Election Worker Pleads Guilty To Intimidating Voters Who Wanted To Vote For Non-Democrat Candidates – KYW

A North Philadelphia election worker has pleaded guilty to election fraud during a 2017 special election for a state House seat in the city. Pennsylvania Attorney General Josh Shapiro says 59-year-old Thurman George, a machine inspector at Poll 43-7, pleaded guilty on Wednesday to frauds by election officers.

George, along with three other election workers, was accused of harassment and intimidation against voters who wanted to vote for candidates of their choice, but not the candidate being pushed by the city’s Democratic Party machine.

Minority inspector Calvin Mattox previously pleaded guilty to not meeting the qualifications of election officers for living outside the district in which he was working, while Dolores Shaw, the judge of election at Poll 43-7, received an accelerated rehabilitative disposition for compromising the local election board.

A pre-trial conference for Wallace Hill, a bilingual translator, has been scheduled for June 6…

New Law: Kansas Cops Can’t Have Sex During Traffic Stops – Wichita Eagle
.

.
A new Kansas law makes it a crime for police to have sex with people they pull over for traffic violations or detain in criminal investigations.

The new law bans sexual relations “during the course of a traffic stop, a custodial interrogation, an interview in connection with an investigation, or while the law enforcement officer has such person detained.”

Now, you may be asking, wasn’t that illegal already? Actually, it wasn’t. Kansas was one of 33 states where consensual sex between police and people in their custody wasn’t a crime.

That came as a surprise to members of the House Judiciary Committee, who got the new law passed in a bundled bill with several other law-enforcement measures…

Iowa: Catholic University Opens Sex-Segregated Prayer Space For Muslim Students – Washington Standard

How wonderfully ecumenical and broadminded! When will the local Islamic school open a chapel for Christian students? What’s that? It doesn’t work that way? Why not? Meanwhile, this is the sort of thing that the Muslim students will be praying in their dedicated prayer room at St. Ambrose University:

Jesus is not the Son of God and belief in the Trinity is “excess”: “O People of the Book! Do not exaggerate in your religion nor utter anything concerning Allah save the truth. The Messiah, Jesus son of Mary, was only a messenger of Allah, and his word which he conveyed to Mary, and a spirit from him. So believe in Allah and His messengers, and do not say ‘Three.’ Cease! It is better for you! Allah is only One Allah. It is far removed from his transcendent majesty that he should have a son. His is all that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth. And Allah is sufficient as Defender.” – Qur’an 4:171

And: “It is not befitting to Allah that he should beget a son. Glory be to him! When He determines a matter, he only says to it, ‘Be,’ and it is.” – Qur’an 19:35…

North Korea Says It Will Dismantle Nuke Test Site May 23-25 – Washington Times

North Korea said Saturday that it will dismantle its nuclear test site on May 23-25, in a dramatic event that would set up leader Kim Jong-un’s summit with President Donald Trump next month.

Kim had revealed plans to shut down the country’s northeastern testing ground by the end of May during his summit with South Korean President Moon Jae-in last month. Analysts say the closure of the site is mostly symbolic and doesn’t represent a material step toward denuclearization.

In a statement carried by state media, North Korea’s Foreign Ministry said that all of the tunnels at the site will be destroyed by explosion, and that observation and research facilities and ground-based guard units will also be removed…

This week, one of the Russian companies accused by Special Counsel Robert Mueller of funding a conspiracy to meddle in the 2016 U.S. presidential election was revealed in court to not have existed during the time period alleged by Mueller’s team of prosecutors, according to a lawyer representing the Defendant.

U.S. Magistrate Judge G. Michael Harvey asked Eric Dubelier, one of two lawyers representing the accused Russian company, Concord Management and Consulting LLC, if he was representing a third company listed in Mueller’s indictment.

“What about Concord Catering?” Harvey asked Dubelier. “The government makes an allegation that there’s some association. I don’t mean for you to – do you represent them, or not, today? And are we arraigning them as well?”

“We’re not,” Dubelier responded. “And the reason for that, Your Honor, is I think we’re dealing with a situation of the government having indicted the proverbial ham sandwich.”…

Algerian Military Plane Crashes In Field, Killing At Least 250 People – Circa

A military plane carrying soldiers and their families crashed soon after takeoff in a farm field in northern Algeria on Wednesday, killing 257 people in what appeared to be the worst plane crash in the North African nation’s history.

Algeria’s Defense Ministry said that those killed included 247 passengers and 10 crew members. The cause of the crash was unclear, and an investigation has been opened, the ministry said.

The ministry said that most of the victims were soldiers and their relatives and that the victims’ bodies were transported to the Algerian army’s central hospital in the town of Ain Naadja for identification.

Local media reported that the plane crashed just after taking off. Emergency services converged on the area near the Boufarik military base after the crash. Footage from the scene showed thick black smoke coming off the field…

California Students Fight For NASA Internships Only Available To Illegals – American Mirror

Students at Cerritos College are questioning why special NASA internships are restricted to their illegal immigrant classmates, and are urging the student senate to open the opportunity to all.

Last week, the Associated Students of Cerritos College Senate considered a funding increase to add two additional slots to the school’s coveted Arduino Internship Opportunity – part of the NASA California Grant Community College STEM Project, the Talon Marks reports.

The scholarship allows college students to create projects that are evaluated by NASA, and there’s currently 10 students participating. But some students at the meeting pointed out that the program is currently setup to benefit only “undocumented” students or international students, and should be available to everyone.

The Brown University Health Services office now offers “safe spaces for men” to help them “unlearn toxic masculinity” and combat traditional notions of “what it means to be a man.”

Viewing masculinity as if it were a public health crisis, “Unlearning Toxic Masculinity” offers a three-pronged approach for helping male students recover: a weekly discussion group to unlearn “toxic masculine norms,” a biannual magazine, and a video series.

The crux of the programming revolves around Masculinity 101 Peer Education, a peer-to-peer weekly discussion group that convenes male students to talk about issues such as “Cultivating Empathy” and “Harm and Healing.”

Eight students have already been hired to facilitate these workshops, PJ Media has learned. According to the program description, the workshops vow to teach students what “healthier norms of masculinity can and should look like.”

“Our country still struggles from nearly record-high welfare enrollments,” Mr. Bremberg said in a conference call with reporters. “President Trump endorses reforms that ensure those in need receive assistance, while eliminating the economic stagnation that has resulted from long-term government dependence.”

The executive order states that federal policy will be to reform welfare programs to empower people following “principles of economic mobility.”…

Trump Seeks To Trim At Least $120 Billion In Non-Defense Spending From $1.3 Trillion Omnibus Bill – Zero Hedge

Larry Kudlow took viewers by surprise during an appearance on “Fox News Sunday” this week when – after offering the usual boilerplate about the White House’s trade beef with China – he mentioned that the White House was considering a “rescission bill” to strip some spending from the $1.3 trillion omnibus spending bill that President Trump signed into law last month.

Congressional and West Wing sources have apparently confirmed as much with Bloomberg, which reported that the rescission bill – which could ultimately strip $120 billion from nondefense discretionary spending – was under serious consideration.

With the CBO now projecting a $1 trillion budget deficit by 2020 – two years sooner than previously estimated – the urgency for the government to roll back some of its deficit-fueled spending has intensified. And bear in mind, the CBO is now estimating that there won’t be a recession within the next ten years, which would make this the longest economic cycle without a contraction in US history…

Abortion Doctor Says He Kills Babies Because It’s His ‘Christian Calling’ – Western Journal

A Mississippi OB-GYB recently stated that he sees it as his Christian “calling” to provide abortions. Dr. Willie Parker – who practices at the state’s only abortion facility, located in Jackson – wrote an Op-Ed for Glamour magazine attacking Mississippi’s Gestation Age Act.

The legislation, signed by Gov. Phil Bryant last month, bans abortions after 15 weeks (i.e. four months into the pregnancy). The law notes that the unborn baby’s vital organs begin to function at 10 weeks, and by week 12, he or she has taken human form in all relevant aspects.

Parker wrote in his Op-Ed, “As an ob-gyn and a Christian, I see it as my calling to help women in making the decisions that are right for their health, their lives, and their families. I believe it’s my duty to meet their needs without judgment. Not only do restrictive laws make it harder for me to do my job – this radical abortion ban is an assault on women across the South.”

The tensions between the Shiite puppet regime in Baghdad (which Obama insisted on backing) and the Sunni population created a cycle of violence that reduced the country to a bloody civil war between Shiite militias and Al Qaeda in Iraq.

The collapse of the multicultural Iraqi army allowed Al Qaeda in Iraq to seize huge swathes of territory. And ISIS and Iran began carving up Iraq into their own ethnically cleansed dominions. Then his Arab Spring empowered the Muslim Brotherhood’s Sunni forces to seize power in countries around the region…

Facebook Has Lost $100 Billion In Value Since February – Verdict

.
Following another fall in the Facebook share price yesterday, the social media giant has now lost $100 billion from its market capitalisation from its peak on 2 February. This is more than the total market value of companies like Paypal ($91 billion) and Starbucks ($81 billion), and close to Netflix ($130 billion) and McDonald’s ($125 billion).

Facebook’s market cap peaked at $552 in early February before beginning its $100 billion slide. The vast majority of that value – around $80 billion – has been lost since 16 March, when the news broke that political consultancy Cambridge Analytica had allegedly harvested the data of 50 million Facebook users.

Yesterday, the Facebook share price fell by another 4.9…

Nasty, 3 Foot Long Parasitic Worms Are On The Cusp Of Being Wiped From The Planet – Ars Technica
.
It all starts with a sip of water that’s contaminated with the worm’s larvae. Inside a human host, the larvae punch through the digestive tract, entering into the body cavity to quietly grow.

Within a few months, the male and female worms meet and mate. Then the males die off. The surviving female worms mature, reaching 60 to 100 centimeters (2 to 3 feet), and migrate into the victim’s muscles.

About 10 to 14 months after that tainted drink, the female worms burn through the skin by oozing acid, creating a searing blister. This can happen anywhere in the body, but it’s usually in the legs or feet.

Not coincidentally, dunking the blister in water eases the pain – and gives the female worm the opportunity to burst out of the wound and spew a milky slurry containing millions of larvae, which starts the cycle all over again.

From there, the victim can slowly try to pull the worm out….

Clintons Received Cash From ‘Cult’ Leaders Who Brainwashed Sex Slaves – WorldNetDaily
.

.
It’s a bizarre and twisted tale of brainwashed sex “slaves” who were branded with a leader’s initials on their private parts – and top executives of the secretive group in upstate New York reportedly pumped thousands of dollars into Hillary Clinton’s 2008 presidential campaign.

Keith Raniere, co-founder of NXIVM, was arrested Monday in Mexico and extradited to the U.S., where he is being charged with sex trafficking. He appeared in court Tuesday in Texas and signed a waiver for U.S. Marshals to bring him back to New York.

On Tuesday, the FBI raided the Albany home of Nancy Salzman, 63, a registered nurse and hypnotist who is president of NXIVM. The organization describes itself as a “community guided by humanitarian principles that seek to empower people and answer important questions about what it means to be human.”…

Kim Jong-Un Goes To Beijing To Meet President Xi; Says He’s Now Willing To Meet Trump After The ‘Successful’ Talks – Daily Mail

Beijing has confirmed that North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has visited China to hold talks with President Xi Jinping, in his first foreign visit since taking power.

The announcement corroborated speculation which was sparked when a train similar to the one the dictator’s father used was spotted making a round-trip to Beijing.

Xi held talks with Kim at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing and he and his wife Peng Liyuan hosted a banquet for Kim and his wife Ri Sol Ju.

‘I have had successful talks with General Secretary Xi Jinping on developing relations between the two parties and the two countries, our respective domestic situation, maintaining peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula, and other issues,’ Kim said at the banquet.

Kim also committed to denuclearisation in Korea if the United States and the South showed ‘goodwill’, it was reported, with China agreeing to support its neighbour if nuclear tensions could be eased…

NRA PAC Donations More Than Tripled In February – Washington Free Beacon

Donations to the National Rifle Association’s (NRA) political action committee more than tripled in February in comparison to its contributions from January, filings show.

The donations increased as liberal activists, politicians, and celebrities have called for more gun control measures and singled out the NRA and Republican politicians who have received support from the group following the Feb. 14 shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Fla., that left 17 dead.

Speakers at the “March for Our Lives” rally this past Saturday in Washington, D.C., continued the push by calling for an AR-15 ban and restrictions on “high capacity magazines.”

Supporters of the NRA appear to have responded by infusing more money into the organization’s political action committee. The NRA’s Political Victory Fund, the group’s PAC, experienced a nearly five-fold increase in itemized donations immediately following the attack, according to the Center for Responsive Politics…

Leftist Teacher Who Led Unauthorized Anti-Cop Walkout, Endangered Kids By Telling Then To Lie Down In Middle Of Street – Blue Lives Matter

A middle school teacher who led students on an unauthorized school walkout and told them to lie down in a busy intersection was put on administrative leave on Friday, school officials said.

Ockley Green Middle School social studies teacher Chris Riser and Black Lives Matter activist Teressa Raiford led a student assembly on the morning of Feb. 9, KATU reported. During the assembly, Riser told the students that he was going to leave the school to walk towards the police department, where he planned to meet with the family of a Quanice Hayes.

Hayes was fatally shot by police after officers cornered the armed robbery and carjacking suspect. Officers ordered him to lay on the ground with his hands out, and he instead reached for the small of his back, and the front of his waistband. A black air pistol was recovered on scene. A grand jury later determined that the shooting was justified.

During Riser’s march, he said that he wanted the students to come with him, but that he had to leave them behind, and not to come, seventh-grader Harmony Mahoney told KATU…

Foxconn Buys Peripheral Maker Belkin For $866 Million – TechCrunch

Foxconn, best known for manufacturing practically everything in the world, has just announced the purchase of Belkin, the PC peripherals company, for $866 million in cash. That certainly makes it one of the larger consumer electronics acquisitions in recent memory.

You probably know Belkin for its various lines of accessories, peripherals, and assorted consumer electronics; Linksys, surely the most recognizable router brand, is a subsidiary. Wemo and Phyn might also ring a bell.

The purchase is likely aimed at giving Foxconn a foothold of its own in the peripherals and networked devices market. Belkin’s CEO and founder (35 years on), Chet Pipkin, will continue to operate the company as a wholly owned subsidiary and may join Foxconn’s management team.

No indication was given that Belkin’s companies would change much, either in makeup or in product lineup. I asked both companies for more details, and got a polite no comment in record time…

Trump Exempts South Korea From Steel Import Tariff – Fox Business

The Trump administration detailed a trade deal that it reached with South Korea on Monday, which permanently exempts the U.S. ally from newly implemented steel tariffs, but maintains a quota on imports from the country.

The quota on South Korean steel imports is 2.68 million tons of steel per year, or 70% of its annual average sale to the U.S. over the past three years.

In exchange for the exemption, South Korea will open its markets to U.S.-manufactured autos, expanding the number of cars it imports per manufacturer to 50,000, from 25,000.

Meanwhile, the U.S. will extend a tariff on pickup trucks, which was set to expire in 2021, for an additional two decades. The 25% tariff impacts prominent South Korean auto manufacturers, including Hyundai and Kia. More Leftist Fraud: NOAA Fudged Temperature Data To Delude Public On Global Warming Scam – Gateway Pundit

It was all a hoax. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) in the U.S. Department of Commerce fudged their numbers to pretend the world was warming.

The U.S. government agency pushed this fraud so leftists could make money off of Chinese windmills and solar panels and the U.S. government could put oil and coal workers out of business.

This ranks up there, next to the Russia collusion hoax as one of the most devastating lies perpetrated by the American left.

Real Climate Science reported:

NOAA’s U.S. temperature record shows that U.S. was warmest in the 1930’s and has generally cooled as CO2 has increased. This wrecks greenhouse gas theory, so they “adjust” the data to make it look like the U.S. is warming.

The New Feminist ‘Shero’ Barbies Show Little Girls They’re Never Too Young To Be Victims – Daily Caller

Mattel celebrated this year’s International Women’s Day and Women’s History Month by unveiling 17 new Barbies, all modeled after famous and successful women.

The Shero Collection includes the likenesses of filmmaker Patty Jenkins, snowboarding champion Chloe Kim, artist Frida Kahlo, mathematician Katherine Johnson, aviation pioneer Amelia Earhart and boxing champion Nicola Adams. Each doll comes with some educational information about the contributions to society by the woman who inspired it.

Although the company’s intentions must have been genuinely good, there’s just too much question about the statement they’re trying to make. Where do we even begin?

First of all, why “shero”? Are the people at Mattel not aware that the word “hero” already has a feminine form? It’s “heroine”! Moreover, “hero” itself is very much gender neutral, and it’s perfectly fine to use it to refer to a woman. Inventing this new word is just another example of a desperate attempt by someone infected with third-wave feminism to point out sexism in everyday language…

Woman ‘Deliberately’ Lights Herself On Fire, Crashes Into Broward Sheriff’s Office With Car Full Of Accelerants – BizPac Review

As if the Broward County Sheriff’s Office doesn’t already have its hands full with one controversy, a woman reportedly lit herself on fire and drove a car full of accelerants into a Broward Sheriff’s Office substation in Pembroke Park.

All-Women’s College Asks Professors Not To Call Students Women – Campus Reform

Mount Holyoke College, an all-women’s school, is asking professors to avoid calling students “women” or otherwise referring to “the two genders.”

Gabriel Mann of NARAL Pro-Choice Ohio calls the bill a serious attack and part of a larger plan to overturn Roe v. Wade. “This isn’t your normal abortion ban. This is a plan to end access to all abortion services in the state of Ohio,” explained Mann…

Weinstein Company Files For Bankruptcy – USA Today

The Weinstein Company is officially filing for bankruptcy, with a buyer waiting on the horizon.

According to a statement released by the company late Monday, The Weinstein Company has filed for bankruptcy in Delaware, while entering into a “stalking horse” agreement with an affiliate of Lantern Capital Partners, a Dallas-based private equity company. The move paves the way for a bankruptcy auction.

According to the company statement, Lantern will work to maintain its employees and “purchase substantially all of the assets of the Company, subject to certain conditions including approval of the Bankruptcy Court.”

The Weinstein Company has roughly 100 employees.

Notably, the board also said it would release any non-disclosure agreements enacted by beleaguered co-founder Harvey Weinstein. The NDA pronouncement comes in the midst of a civil rights suit levied last month by New York Attorney General Eric T. Schneiderman…

Funny, When Obama Harvested Facebook Data On Millions Of Users To Win In 2012, Everyone Cheered – Investor’s Business Daily
.

.
Privacy: Facebook faces what some are calling an “existential crisis” over revelations that its user data fell into the hands of the Trump campaign.

Whether or not the attacks on the social media giant are justified, the fact is that the Obama campaign used Facebook (FB) data in the same way in 2012. But the reaction from the pundits and press back then was, shall we say, somewhat different.

According to various news accounts, a professor at Cambridge University built a Facebook app around 2014 that involved a personality quiz. About 270,000 users of the app agreed to share some of their Facebook information, as well as data from people on their friends list. As a result, tens of millions ended up part of this data-mining operation…

Package Headed To Austin Explodes At San Antonio FedEx Facility – KLEW

A package destined for an address in Austin exploded inside a FedEx distribution facility outside San Antonio early Tuesday, law enforcement sources tell CBS Austin. The package detonated around 12:25 a.m. at the facility in Schertz, Texas.

Sources said the package was moving from an elevated conveyor belt to a lower section when it exploded. A woman working near the package was treated for a headache but not seriously hurt.

The package contained shrapnel consisting of nails and pieces of metal, sources said, but none of the 75 employees inside the facility were injured. Authorities have not yet said if this is related to this month’s serial bombings in Austin.

Law enforcement officials said those packages, that have so far killed two people and injured six others, have been placed by hand. There are several law enforcement agencies at the scene, including agents from the ATF, FBI and Homeland Security…

Scott Pruitt Will End EPA’s Use Of ‘Secret Science’ To Justify Regulations – Daily Caller
.

.
Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Administrator Scott Pruitt will soon end his agency’s use of “secret science” to craft regulations.

“We need to make sure their data and methodology are published as part of the record,” Pruitt said in an exclusive interview with The Daily Caller News Foundation. “Otherwise, it’s not transparent. It’s not objectively measured, and that’s important.”

Pruitt will reverse long-standing EPA policy allowing regulators to rely on non-public scientific data in crafting rules. Such studies have been used to justify tens of billions of dollars worth of regulations.

EPA regulators would only be allowed to consider scientific studies that make their data available for public scrutiny under Pruitt’s new policy…

Surrender To Brussels Agreed: Britain Obeys All EU Laws, Mo Control Of Fisheries, Open Borders To 2020 – Breitbart

The United Kingdom will agree to follow all European Union rules after Brexit and keep the nation’s borders open for the duration of the transition period to 2022, with further bad news for fisheries and communities in Northern Ireland as a new agreement was reached in Brussels Monday.

The European Union’s chief Brexit negotiator Michel Barnier made the announcement in a joint press conference with Britain’s David Davis in Brussels, where the pair presented what was introduced as a “legal text which constitutes a decisive step” towards a final agreement.

Revealing the enormous extent to which Theresa May’s government has sold out the Brexit-voting British public, Barnier and Davis spoke on a number of key policy areas including immigration, British control over British laws, and regaining control over British fishing waters.

Speaking first at the meeting with journalists, French politician Barnier said Britain had agreed to continue following all Brussels laws for years after the offical Brexit date of March 2019…

Former FBI Assistant Director: Brennan And Obama Are The People Who Committed Felonies, Not General Flynn – Real Clear Politics
.

.
Former FBI Assistant Director James Kallstrom told FNC’s Maria Bartiromo on ‘Sunday Morning Futures’ that “high-ranking people throughout the government… had a plot to not have Hillary Clinton indicted so that she could remain the flawed candidate that she was.”

Kallstrom said the “plot” to fix the 2016 election goes “right to the top,” meaning President Obama and former CIA director John Brennan.

Kallstrom cited text messages from FBI counterintelligence chief Peter Stzrok which appear to show “they had a backup plan to frame Donald Trump” as a Russian agent.

“This whole thing is a total phony,” he said about the Muller probe. “How would you feel… if someone had a phony scheme about you go on for months and months and months?”…
