Death Spiral Continues As CNN Loses One-Third Of Primetime Audience – Breitbart
.

.
The far-left CNN’s ratings death spiral marched into last week as the fake news network lost one-third of its primetime audience and a breathtaking 55 percent of its demo viewers.

When compared to this same week last year, CNN also lost 21 percent of its total day viewers. How bad is this? Well, you can’t blame a slow news week because not only was President Trump on an overseas trip, but as you will see, CNN stands completely alone with this massive audience implosion.

By comparison, in primetime, MSNBC and Fox News only lost four percent of their viewers compared to last year and seven and five percent of their total day viewers, respectively. Let me lay this out for you as starkly as I can…

Google And Other Big Tech Giants Are Bailing On China As Trump’s Tariffs Take Hold – Daily Caller

Google is moving technology out of China as the Silicon Valley company seeks to avoid pain from U.S. tariffs and a hostile Beijing, Bloomberg reported Tuesday night.

Google is shifting production of server hardware out of the communist nation and moving motherboards to Taiwan, as the company tries to avert pain from a 25% tariff, the report notes, citing anonymous sources. Other big tech companies are reportedly following suit and shifting production out of China and back to the U.S.

Wistron Corp, a Taiwanese firm that makes servers for Facebook and Microsoft, also said Wednesday that it too is looking to shift production away from China and perhaps to the U.S., according to the report. The company’s chairman, Simon Lin, didn’t specify which products were moving.

Domestic and foreign companies are fleeing China amid President Donald Trump’s efforts to remake traditional global trade and manufacturing alignments. Google is no exception…

Facebook Shares Tumble After Report Zuckerberg Knew Of “Questionable” Privacy Practices – Zero Hedge
.

.
Shares of Facebook tumbled on Wednesday after emails emerged which appear to show Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg’s knowledge of questionable privacy practices at the company, according to the Wall Street Journal, citing people familiar with the matter.

Within the company, the unearthing of the emails in the process of responding to a continuing federal privacy investigation has raised concerns that they would be harmful to Facebook – at least from a public-relations standpoint – if they were to become public, one of the people said.

The potential impact of the internal emails has been a factor in the tech giant’s desire to reach a speedy settlement of the investigation by the Federal Trade Commission…

It will be enacted 90 days after the Legislature adjourns, which is expected in mid-June.

‘No, Debbie!’: Chilling 911 Call Captures Gasping And Pleading As Daughter Slashes Parents To Death With Knife Inside Their Home – Crime Online

An Illinois woman is behind bars after police say she planned out, then killed her own parents inside their Arlington Heights home on Saturday.

ABC 7 reports that 43-year-old Deborah Jane Martin is accused of murdering her parents, 71-year-old Anne Martin and her husband, 72-year-old David Martin. The incident took place inside the elderly couple’s home off of South Derbyshire Lane.

According to court testimony on Monday afternoon, Anne called 911 at around 12:30 a.m. on Saturday. The woman was apparently gasping for air and pleading for her daughter to stop.

“The 911 audio captures the defendant’s mother gasping for air and moaning. Within seconds of dispatch answering, sounds of movement are heard followed by the mother of the defendant gasping and pleading, ‘No Debbie,’” Lorna Amado-Chevlin with the Cook County State Attorney’s Office said.

O’Keefe Releases Blockbuster Video Exposing How Pinterest Blocks Live Action, Conservative Websites, Christian Searches And Much More – Right Scoop
.

.
James O’Keefe has released a blockbuster video this morning detailing how the social media website Pinterest is heavily blocking websites that they disagree with including Live Action. They are also blocking search terms related to the Bible and Christianity as well as commentaries by Ben Shapiro on Islam and Muslims.

This information comes from an insider who sat down with O’Keefe to expose all of this.

O’Keefe spends a good portion of the video discussing how Pinterest has blocked Live Action by putting it on a porn block list. By doing this it prevents a ‘pin’ from being created with Live Action’s website domain. O’Keefe also points out that there are other conservative websites in the blocked porn list like Zero Hedge, PJ Media, and American Thinker…

Supreme Court Rejects Atheists’ Attempt To Remove ‘In God We Trust’ From U.S. Currency – Daily Wire

The U.S. Supreme Court has rejected a case filed by atheists to remove the phrase “In God We Trust” from all currency issued by the Department of Treasury.

The phrase, which has become the national motto, was first stamped on a 2-cent U.S. coin in 1864 and was officially added to both coins and paper money in 1955 after Congress passed legislation.

The high court on Monday declined to take up the case, which means the finding from the last court to hear the case stands. The 8th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals dismissed the case in 2018.

The case was brought by Michael Newdow, an activist who also sought to scrub the phrase “under God” from the Pledge of Allegiance. He had argued that Congress’ decision to put the phrase “In God We Trust” on currency violated the First Amendment because it was tantamount to a government endorsement of religion…

Masterpiece Cakeshop owner Jack Phillips just wants to bake in peace. Yet more and more these days he’s finding himself in court, not the kitchen. They and the Colorado Civil Rights Commission sued Phillips and the case eventually reached the Supreme Court of the United States.

Last June, the High Court voted 7-2 in favor of Phillips. Only Justices Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Sonia Sotomayor dissented.

California Set To Give Full Health Care Benefits To Undocumented Democrats – Daily Caller

Democratic California Gov. Gavin Newsom reached an agreement with Democrats in the state legislature to become the first state in the nation to provide full health care benefits to tens of thousands of illegal immigrants.

As part of a larger $213 billion budget, low-income illegal immigrants under the age of 26 will be eligible for California’s Medicaid program, Medi-Cal, reported The Sacramento Bee. Under the agreement, approximately 90,000 new individuals would qualify with an estimate price tag of $98 million annually.

California will begin taxing residents who don’t have health insurance in order to help ease the program’s financial burden, creating an individua-mandate penalty.

Initially implemented under the Obama administration to help pay for the federal Affordable Care Act, more commonly referred to as Obamacare, Republicans rolled back the federal individual-mandate penalty in 2017…

Climate Hysteria Fails Again: Feds Remove Warning That Glaciers ‘Will All Be Gone’ By 2020 – Big League Politics

The National Park Service (NPS) is trying to backtrack from their failed predictions of climate doom. They recently removed a warning from a Glacier National Park claiming that glaciers “will all be gone” by 2020 due to global warming fears.

The predictions, which were based off of faulty computer models in the early 2000s, have been invalidated by mother nature. There has been much more snowfall than what was previously anticipated by the so-called experts in recent years.

“Glacier retreat in Glacier National Park speeds up and slows down with fluctuations in the local climate,” said the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) to The Daily Caller News Foundation.

“Those signs were based on the observation prior to 2010 that glaciers were shrinking more quickly than a computer model predicted they would,” the USGS added. “Subsequently, larger than average snowfall over several winters slowed down that retreat rate and the 2020 date used in the NPS display does not apply anymore.”…

Oberlin College Mass Email Criticizing Jurors Could Influence Punitive Damages Hearing In Gibson’s Bakery Case – Legal Insurrection

There are a lot of things about the way Oberlin College handled the Gibson’s Bakery dispute and lawsuit that have had me wondering who, if anyone, is in control over there.

As mentioned numerous times, “from the start of this case I have questioned the aggressive and demeaning attacks on the Gibsons as a defense strategy,” and “I’m still shaking my head at the tone-deafness of the defense in belittling this family business.”

The jury seems to have agreed, rendering a combined $11.2 million compensatory damages verdict against Oberlin College and its Dean of Students, Meredith Raimondo.

The next stage is a punitive damages hearing, since the jury found the defendants acted with intent and malice. A separate punitive damages hearing is required under the Ohio Tort Reform legislation that passed several years ago. The point is to keep some of the more inflammatory evidence that does not go to liability or compensatory damages away from the jury during the initial deliberations…

Oregon’s Leftist-Controlled House Passes Unconstitutional ‘National Popular Vote’ Legislation – Daily Wire

On April 9, the Oregon state Senate voted 17-12 to pass legislation (SB 870) to join the National Popular Vote (NPV) compact. On Wednesday, the state House of Representatives voted 37-22 in favor of the legislation.

In a 2009 letter signaling her support for the NPV legislation, then-Secretary of State Brown wrote about the impact of the 2008 Democratic primary election, and how “when voters believe that their vote affects the outcome of an election, or moreover, when they feel their vote matters,” engagement increases.

Why The IG Report On FISA Abuse Will Unleash Barr’s Investigation Of Spygate – Margot Cleveland

The forthcoming report from the Office of Inspector General on potential Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act abuse will finally unleash Attorney General William Barr, and when it does, watch out.

FOIA Docs: Twice-Demoted DOJ Official Bruce Ohr Received $28,000 Bonus During Work On Sketchy Dossier – Conservative Treehouse

This is a prime example of what historically sent people to the pitchforks. According to newly released FOIA documents received by Judicial Watch, twice-demoted DOJ official Bruce Ohr received pay raises and a $28,000 bonus while working on the anti-Trump operation.

Bruce Ohr was originally demoted in December 2017 stripping away his title of associate deputy attorney general based on what DOJ officials said were “undisclosed contacts” with FBI informant Christopher Steele. We later found out Bruce Ohr completely disclosed his contacts; so his first demotion was a complete CYA move by DOJ officials (ie. Rosenstein).

A month later, in January 2018, Bruce Ohr was demoted a second time, removing his title as head of the DOJ Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force. No reason was given for the second demotion. His employment remained (as it does today) but no official word as to his title.

However, it is now discovered that Bruce Ohr received performance bonuses for the same work effort he was later demoted for…

Looks Like Christopher Steele Has Cut A Deal And Will Turn State’s Evidence On Russia Hoax Prosecutions – Thomas Lifson

I don’t think it is a coincidence that just as President Trump is in the U.K., we suddenly learn that “dossier” author Christopher Steele has agreed to be questioned by U.S. authorities. Chuck Ross of The Daily Caller reports:

Former British spy Christopher Steele has agreed to meet in London with U.S. officials regarding the dossier, The Times of London is reporting.

A source close to Steele told the newspaper he plans to meet with American authorities within the next several weeks, but only about his interactions with the FBI and only with the approval of the British government.

Steele’s decision is an apparent about-face from his reported refusal to meet with U.S. investigators regarding his infamous report. Reuters reported in May that Steele was unwilling to meet with a federal prosecutor who Attorney General William Barr tapped to lead an investigation into the origins of the Russia probe…

How The Media Covered Up The Real Collusion Between Russians And The Hillary Campaign – Daily Caller

In July 2017, the media exploded over a meeting in June 2016 at Trump Tower between Donald Trump Jr. and Natalia Veselnitskaya, the alleged “Kremlin-backed lawyer” (she wasn’t Kremlin-backed) at which Russians promised “dirt” on Hillary Clinton.

But before we get into this coverage, let’s stop and consider: So bloody what? At one stage or another, there were probably a hundred meetings between Team Hillary and God only knows who, from the candidate on down, discussing dirt on Donald Trump.

It’s what campaigns do. It’s also what journalists do.

If the evidence showed that this Russian woman was knowingly an agent of the Russian government offering ammunition to tilt the election and if there was any explicit or even implicit quid pro quo on the part of Team Trump to alter Russia policy in a favorable direction, you had a story, and a big one, too. Indictments and impeachment would follow, and deservedly so…

L.A. Collapsing Into Third-World Status As Garbage, Filth, Disease, And Homelessness Spiral Out Of Control – National Sentinel

Elon Musk’s SpaceX recently launched the first 60 satellites to test the concept of what will eventually be a constellation of thousands of satellites that are designed to bring high-speed internet to every corner of the Earth.

When the constellation is complete, sometime in the mid-2020s, SpaceX thinks it can provide wi-fi services that are competitive with fiber optic cable in urban areas as well as to currently underserved rural parts of the planet.

Each satellite is small, equipped with a single solar panel, a krypton-fueled ion drive, a collision avoidance system, and the wherewithal to receive and send high-speed Wi-Fi transmissions. With SpaceX’s family of reusable rockets, Elon Musk can deploy Starlink relatively cheaply, for about $10 billion, according to one estimate.

At the end of their useful lives, the satellites will use their ion thrusters to crash back into the Earth’s atmosphere, burning up…

The fraudsters set up booths at seniors’ centers or even go door-to-door to find victims, the Health and Human Services’ inspector general said. They promise the kits, saying they’re covered by Medicare, then ask the seniors to provide their personal information including details such as Social Security and Medicare beneficiary numbers.

“Scammers are offering Medicare beneficiaries cheek swabs for genetic testing to obtain their Medicare information for identity theft or fraudulent billing purposes,” the inspector general said.

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services says the fraudsters can use the information they glean to bill Medicare for thousands of dollars in tests or even services that they never actually deliver…

Major Russian Defense Contractor Exits Venezuela In Huge Blow To Maduro – Zero Hedge

A major Russian defense contractor has pulled out of Venezuela and withdrawn most of its advisers in what appears to signal a broader Russian exit of defense support to the Maduro government.

The Wall Street Journal notes that it’s a huge blow to Maduro – and though it appears primarily motivated by lack of confidence in Caracas’ ability to pay the bills – this could mark the writing on the wall in terms of the future powerful backing of Maduro’s biggest international supporter.

It further comes as the US has vowed to keep up the pressure and after the Kremlin condemned what it called ongoing “US-backed coup attempts”.

The WSJ reports the following details:

Russian state defense contractor Rostec, which has trained Venezuelan troops and advised on securing arms contracts, has cut its staff in Venezuela to just a few dozen…

“It’s All A Fraud”: Deceptive Edits Found In Mueller Report – Zero Hedge

Rep. Devin Nunes (R-CA) on Saturday called for the immediate release of “all backup and source information” for the Mueller report after internet sleuth @almostjingo (Rosie Memos) discovered that the special counsel’s office deceptively edited content which was then cited as evidence of possible obstruction.

“It’s all a fraud” tweeted Nunes, replying to a tweet by @JohnWHuber (Undercover Huber), who also posted a comparison between the Mueller report and a newly released transcript of a November 2017 voicemail message left by former Trump lawyer John Dowd, in which he asked former national security adviser Michael Flynn’s attorney for a “heads up” if Flynn was planning on saying anything that might damage the president.

Mueller’s team omitted key context suggesting that Dowd was trying to strongarm Flynn and possibly obstruct justice by shaping witness testimony, while the actual voicemail reveals that Dowd was careful not to tread into obstruction territory in what was a friendly and routine call between lawyers…

Joe Biden’s Fifty Years Of Flip-Flops – Joel Pollak

Former vice president Joe Biden faces an opponent possibly even more formidable than President Donald Trump: himself.

In a half-century in Washington – spanning 36 years in the Senate and eight in the Obama administration – Biden has flip-flopped on most major issues. On other issues, his former positions are no longer viable within the Democratic Party.

Here is a list of Biden’s reversals:

1. Abortion: Biden used to pride himself on a “middle of the road” approach, supporting the pro-choice movement but maintaining that Roe v. Wade went too far. He also supported the Hyde amendment, which prevents federal funding for abortion, and voted to ban partial-birth abortions. He even voted to allow states to overturn Roe. Recently, however, Biden reversed his position on the Hyde amendment, and condemned efforts by states like Alabama to overturn Roe…

Washington State Pays $8 Million To Developmentally Disabled Man Who Lived With Hundreds Of Rats Despite Multiple Calls For Help – Crime Online

Washington state’s Department of Social and Health Services admitted they “dropped the ball” and agreed to pay $8 million to a parentless developmentally disabled man who reportedly lived in substandard conditions for years despite multiple calls made to Adult Protective Services.

Vernon Gray lost his father decades earlier and his mother in 2000. The Washington Post reported that Gray lived with her corpse for several days because he didn’t know what to do. He was also unsure how to pay utilities and bills – leading to his power and water being shut off shortly thereafter.

Over time, rats had overrun the Seattle home – something city and state officials had been alerted to multiple times. A concerned neighbor had reported the issue to officials, claiming that as many as 500 rats dwelled in the dilapidated home.

Further, in 2009, a King County health worker called APS about rats living under the lawn and noted a horrible smell admitting from the home, according to KOMO…

Mom Accuses Union Of Forging Signature To Deduct Money From Disabled Daughter’s Checks – Washington Free Beacon

A union allegedly forged a single mother’s signature to deduct money that helps her care for her disabled daughter, according to a lawsuit.

Maria Quezambra of California filed a federal lawsuit seeking to recover dues that she says United Domestic Workers Local 3930 (UDW) improperly took from the money that helps her take care of her daughter. She accused the union of misleading her about dues requirements, rebuffing her attempts to recover money, and trespassing on her property.

“Ms. Quezambra did not sign anything indicating she desired to become a union member or pay union dues, and the State began to deduct Union dues from her paycheck automatically,” the suit says. “The Union forged Ms. Quezambra’s signature to justify past dues deductions and to lock her into paying full union dues each year.”

Consumer Confidence Soared In May, Unshaken By Trade War Escalation – Breitbart

U.S. consumer confidence jumped higher in May, returning to near its highest levels in the 21st Century, according to The University of Michigan’s Conference Board. The Conference Board’s index of consumer confidence rose to 134.1, well above expectations. This was the second consecutive monthly improvement for the index.

“Consumer Confidence posted another gain in May and is now back to levels seen last Fall when the Index was hovering near 18-year highs,” said Lynn Franco, Senior Director of Economic Indicators at The Conference Board.

A survey of consumer sentiment released in mid-May also showed improvement, rising to the highest level since 2004. But that survey was largely taken before the escalation of tariffs on Chinese goods. Many economists had expected the tariffs hikes and stock market volatility to somewhat depress sentiment.

The University of Michigan, which conducted the earlier survey, said at the time that “negative references to tariffs rose in the past week..

Polish Nationalists Win EU Vote, Set Stage For National Ballot – Reuters

Poland’s ruling Law and Justice party (PiS) surged to a clear victory in Sunday’s European Parliament vote, a stamp of approval for the party’s nationalist, eurosceptic platform before a national election later in the year.

The results calculated by the state electoral commission on the basis of 99.3% of polling stations showed PiS heading for its best result ever in a general or European Union election with 45.6% of votes. It won 31.8% in the EU ballot five years ago and 37.6% in the 2015 parliamentary election.

The opposition European Coalition, comprising the Civic Platform formerly led by European Council President Donald Tusk and a group of leftist and rural politicians, was second, with 38.3%. In 2014, the parties which went on to form the coalition achieved a combined result of 48.2%.

The order, issued in a presidential memorandum, is the latest effort in a campaign to address the flood of illegal aliens pouring across the southern border. A large number of aliens claim asylum and are released back into the United States.

The proposals Trump called for would significantly change the asylum system. The officials still need to draft the proposed rules, have them approved by the White House, and go through a number of time-intensive regulatory procedures for the changes to take effect.

Trump administration officials blame faulty U.S. asylum laws for encouraging large-scale illegal migration…

Trump Sues Deutsche Bank And Capital One To Stop Them From Complying With DemoNazi Subpoenas – Gateway Pundit

President Trump, his family and the Trump Organization Monday sued Deutsche Bank and Capital One to prevent the companies from complying with Congressional subpoenas.

President Trump, his three children, Ivanka, Don Jr., and Eric; and his business filed a federal lawsuit in New York’s Southern District against the banks Monday.

“The subpoenas were issued to harass President Donald J. Trump, to rummage through every aspect of his personal finances, his businesses, and the private information of the President and his family, and to ferret about for any material that might be used to cause him political damage. No grounds exist to establish any purpose other than a political one,” Trump’s attorneys wrote in the complaint filed late Monday.

Trump’s attorneys said the lawsuit is meant to protect Donald Trump, his children and his family business. “The subpoenas issued to Deutsche Bank and Capital One by Chairpersons Schiff and Waters are unlawful and illegitimate,” the statement read…

A pair of bumbling burglars were arrested after apparently butt-dialing 911 while fleeing the scene of a burglary at a Best Buy near Houston early Saturday.

The men are alleged to have knocked off a Best Buy in Sugar Land, Texas, at about 3 a.m. While responding to an alarm at the store, dispatch received a 911 call in the area, Houston police said. But instead of a caller, they heard only background noise.

Authorities said they pinged the cellphone, which was coming from a car traveling toward Houston from the suburban electronics store, and took off in pursuit.

20 Indian Students Commit Suicide After Receiving Bad Exam Results – Sputnik News

About one million students in India attended exams between February and March, and approximately 350,000 failed, prompting parents, student groups, and political parties to protest, the Khaleej Times reported.

Twenty students have committed suicide in India since the Board of Intermediate Education (BIE) last week announced the exam scores, according to the Khaleej Times.

The newspaper stated that the announcement was marked by controversial reactions, as there were alleged discrepancies in the results and a series of suicides was triggered among the students.

Leftist-Controlled California Spends $178 Million Per Fish To Bring Back Salmon – American Thinker

In California, the water wars are continuing to boil.

Leftie greenies recently hailed the return of… five… salmon, swimming upstream to the San Joaquin river to spawn. Paradise restored! In water-starved California, that was quite an achievement, given that each salmon required 50,000 gallons of water to get the job done, coming at a price tag of $890 million at the low end and $2 billion at the high. And that water came out of the hides of California’s farmers, who got very little of the water they were promised, and paid for, as a result. That’s some use of resources to get those five salmon to swim upstream.

Wayne Western, Jr., at The Sun, writes how this clown show spend-fest came to be:

In 1988, then-Rep. George Miller (D-Martinez) developed the first version of the Central Valley Improvement Act (CVPIA). That same year, the Natural Resources Defense Council filed a lawsuit claiming that Friant Dam violated environmental laws…

Socialized Medicine Update: Canadian Doctors Killed Thousands Of People In 2018 – National Review
.

Canadian doctors committed thousands of homicides in 2018. According to an interim report published by the government, in the first ten months of last year, doctors lethally injected 2, 613 patients (with one assisted suicide) – and that doesn’t include the homicides committed by doctors in Quebec, Northwest Territories, Yukon, and Nunavut.

This means well over 3,000 people are killed by their doctors each year in Canada, which – if my math is correct – is more than 250 a month, more than 58 a week, and more than eight per day. Heck, that’s about one every three hours.

The report says that about 1.12 percent of all Canadian deaths were caused by euthanasia, a number that is increasing every year. No wonder…

Top 51 Fake News ‘Bombshells’ The Media Spread About RussiaGate – John Nolte

Here are the top 51 pieces of fake news the establishment media spread about the Russia Collusion Hoax over the past two years, and I describe this list as the Top 51 because there is a behemoth of an iceberg lurking below.

Since the release of the Mueller Report last week, which – despite two years, $30 million, and a team of rabidly partisan left-wing investigators – found exactly zero crimes of Russia collusion or obstruction associated with President Trump and his campaign, one of the most bizarre results has been watching the media pat themselves on the back for the stories they believe they got correct.

U.S. Company Makes Trump $3.3 Billion Border Offer: Quick Turnaround On 218 Miles Of Steel Fence, Roads, And Tech – Washington Examiner

A U.S. construction company is making a formal, unsolicited offer to Trump administration officials in Washington this week to build 218 miles of wall along the U.S.-Mexico border for $3.3 billion and have the entire job completed in 13 months.

“DHS needs a contractor to build the border fence as fast as possible, without compromising the quality of the fence. The ideal contractor would build the border fence faster, of higher quality, and at less cost than any other contractor. Fisher Sand & Gravel Co. is that contractor,” Fisher Industries officials wrote in an official paper version of the proposal.

Theresa May To Delay Brexit… Again – Breitbart

British Prime Minister Theresa May has addressed the United Kingdom – again – after hosting an epic seven hours of government meetings Tuesday and told the nation she intends to delay Brexit again to get her deal agreed by Parliament, or else open the door for a softer Brexit.

The podium moment at 10 Downing Street – merely the latest in a line of addresses direct to the nation by the Prime Minister – came the evening after the second failed attempt by Parliament to seize control of the Brexit process from the government.

Rather than indicating what direction they intended to take, Parliament instead voted against every option but before them for a second time.

The Prime Minister chaired two cabinet meetings for over seven hours today in search of a way through the so-called “logjam”, and it was speculated by members of the Westminster bubble that the outcome could lead to a deviation from the plan…

A newly elected Houston judge accidentally resigned Monday when attempting to make an April Fools’ joke.

Harris County Civil Court judge, Bill McLeod, who was sworn in last November, shared on social media his plans to run for Texas Supreme Court without knowing that the announcement would lead to his automatic resignation, Reuters reported.

According to the Texas Constitution, if a judge announces candidacy for another office, it “shall constitute an automatic resignation of the office then held.”

First Assistant County Attorney Robert Soard told Reuters on Tuesday that the Harris County attorney’s office would present the matter to the county commissioners next week…

Firms Tied To Fusion GPS, Christopher Steele Were Paid $3.8 Million By Soros-Backed Group – Daily Caller

A nonprofit group partially funded by billionaire activist George Soros paid firms tied to Fusion GPS and dossier author Christopher Steele more than $3.8 million in 2017 to provide research and analysis to “government entities,” according to IRS filings.

The payments made by The Democracy Integrity Project are more than three times what the DNC and the Clinton campaign paid Fusion GPS and Steele during the 2016 presidential campaign to investigate Donald Trump’s possible ties to Russia.

Perkins Coie, the law firm that represented the DNC and Clinton campaign, paid $1 million to Fusion GPS in 2016 to investigate Trump. Fusion GPS in turn paid Steele, a former MI6 officer, nearly $170,000 for a project that resulted in the infamous Steele dossier.

Steele’s report, which alleged a “well-coordinated conspiracy” between the Trump campaign and the Russian government, has come under intense scrutiny in the wake of the special counsel’s findings in the 22-month Russia probe…

On Monday, a Connecticut woman claims that Biden touched her inappropriately and “rubbed noses” with her during a 2009 political fundraiser in Greenwich.

Homeland Security Secretary Nielsen Orders ‘Emergency Surge Operations’ On Southwest Border – CNS

The Trump administration is speeding up the temporary deployment of another 750 Customs and Border Protection (CBP) personnel – and possibly more – to parts of the Southwest border most affected by the influx of migrants.

The administration also has directed CBP to return to Mexico hundreds of migrants more each day than are currently being sent back.

Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen issued the directives in a memorandum to CBP Commissioner Kevin McAleenan on Monday, telling him to initiate “emergency surge operations.”

She instructed CBP to speed up the planned reallocation of up to 750 officers to sectors “affected by the emergency,” and authorized it to exceed that target, reporting back to her if there were plans to reassign more than 2,000 personnel for the task.

Nielsen also directed CBP immediately to expand a policy put in place earlier this year…

Earlier this weekend Twitter suspended the account for the pro-life movie ‘Unplanned’ on the weekend of its theatrical release, but promptly reinstated it amid fierce backlash. As Cassandra Fairbanks reported the movie is based on the real story of Abby Johnson, a former clinic director at Planned Parenthood who had a change of heart after learning more about abortion.

Just like with Gosnell, television networks refused to air ads for the film. Lifetime, a network known for making movies about famous murders and kidnappings, said their refusal was based on “sensitive nature of the film.”

Report: Gang Stole Billions From UK Taxpayers, Infiltrated Government, Funded Al-Qaeda And Labour – Breitbart

A vast network of British Asian gang members linked to Abu Hamza and the 7/7 bombers infiltrated government agencies, defrauded taxpayers of billions of pounds, and funnelled tens of millions to Osama bin Laden and al-Qaeda over 20 years, an investigation claims to have found.

The report suggests that, through a complex series of tactics, including exploitation of illegal immigration, benefits fraud, VAT fraud, and mortgage fraud, the gang managed to steal an astonishing £8 billion.

These funds were allegedly used to provide lavish lifestyles for the gang’s members, including luxury cars and properties – but also helped bankroll Osama bin Laden’s notorious al-Qaeda network, claims a Sunday Times investigation.

It is believed that £80 million was sent to the jihadists to help them fund their radical Islamic terrorist activities, with a source claiming that “MI5 had information that the ultimate destination for some of the money was Osama bin Laden’s compound in Abbottabad.”…

Dozens Of Colorado Counties Declare Themselves Second Amendment Sanctuaries In Face Of Gun-Grabbing Bill – The Federalist

More than two dozen counties in Colorado have taken a page from the left’s playbook by declaring themselves “Second Amendment sanctuary counties” in anticipation of the passage of a bill that allows local governments to seize people’s guns without due process.

In February, Democrats in the Colorado legislature introduced HB19-1177, commonly known as the Red Flag bill. The law allows the government to seize firearms from a law-abiding owner after as long as a petitioner “establishes ” by a preponderance of the evidence that the gun owner “poses a significant risk to self or others.”

There’s a lot wrong with this idea. First, the Red Flag bill makes it easy for anyone to file a petition, including angry former lovers from many moons ago.

A petitioner can file on the phone or in person, doesn’t have to provide his address, and doesn’t have to reside in Colorado. A petitioner doesn’t have to appear in person at any hearing, and there is no cost to file a petition…

Leftist-Controlled New York City Set To Pass “Congestion Toll”, Mansion Tax, And Plastic Bag Ban – Zero Hedge

New York state is nearing completion of a 2020 budget deal that’s going to result in “congestion tolls” in Manhattan, alongside a “mansion tax” and a ban on single-use plastic bags, according to Bloomberg.

State leaders and Governor Andrew Cuomo agreed this week on a spending plan for 2020 that allocates for 2% budget growth for the ninth year in a row. The plan increases spending for education aid and provides tax relief for the middle class, according to the Governor.

Lawmakers will be discussing the budget again Sunday night to try and meet a midnight deadline to pass it.

The proposed “congestion tolls” will make New York City the first American city to charge drivers for access. It’s projected to raise $1 billion, which will then be used to pay debt service (of course) on the $15 billion in Metropolitan Transportation Authority bonds outstanding…

Assclown Gets 20 Years In Prison For Making Hoax 911 Call That Led To Fatal Shooting Of Innocent Man – Associated Press

A California man was sentenced Friday to 20 years in prison for making bogus emergency calls to authorities across the U.S., including one that led police to fatally shoot a Kansas man following a dispute between two online players over a $1.50 bet in the Call of Duty: WWII video game.

U.S. District Judge Eric Melgren sentenced Tyler R. Barriss, 26, under a deal in which he pleaded guilty in November to a total of 51 federal charges related to fake calls and threats. The plea agreement called for a sentence of at least 20 years – well over the 10 years recommended under sentencing guidelines.

Prosecutors believe it is the longest prison sentence ever imposed for the practice of “swatting,” a form of retaliation in which someone reports a false emergency to get authorities, particularly a SWAT team, to descend on an address.

Melgren said the case went into “uncharted legal territory,” that the law has not caught up with…

Manager Of CBS Employees’ Credit Union Stole $40 Million Over 20 Years, Authorities Say – Fox News

A credit union set up to serve employees of CBS was shuttered last week after its manager was accused of embezzling $40 million over 20 years, according to reports.

The suspect, identified as Edward Martin Rostohar, 62, was a 30-year employee of the Studio City, Calif.-based credit union, reports said. He was arrested at his Studio City home and charged with bank fraud and identity theft, authorities said.

If convicted on both counts, he faces up to 32 years in prison and a $1 million fine, Deadline Hollywood reported.

Prosecutors say Rostohar, as manager, made online payments to himself from his employer or forged a fellow employee’s signature on checks made out to him. Article 13: EU Approves Controversial Copyright Law – CNET

The European Parliament on Tuesday voted in favor of a controversial new law that will bring sweeping reforms to how copyrighted content posted online is governed. The legislation was adopted with 348 votes in favor and 274 against.

For proponents of digital rights, the decision comes as a huge blow after over a year of campaigning to uphold what they see as the integrity of the internet. Member of the European Parliament Julia Reda, one of the most vocal critics of the directive, said on Twitter that the vote signals a “dark day for internet freedom.”

Years in the making, the EU Copyright Directive has been heavily debated and divisive among politicians, as well as a cause of concern for the tech industry. One part of the proposal in particular – Article 13, which will govern the way copyrighted content is uploaded to the internet – has many in the tech community throwing their hands up in despair.

Under the law, internet platforms will be liable for content that users upload…

No Right To College For Illegal Aliens – National Review

At a time when Americans believe immigration to be the most important issue facing the nation, the Eleventh Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals has ruled that Georgia’s state colleges and universities can’t be forced to admit illegal immigrants as students.

And that includes aliens who qualified under the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program implemented by former president Barack Obama in 2012.

In an opinion handed down earlier this month, a three-judge panel upheld the right of the Georgia Board of Regents, which runs the state-university system, to verify the “lawful presence” of applicants before granting them admission as students to the “more selective schools in the University System.”

Selective schools are defined as any Georgia college or university that “did not admit all academically qualified applicants” in the “two most recent academic years.” That applies to at least three state colleges…

FHA loans are government-backed mortgages meant for poorer Americans unable to qualify for normal mortgages. Democrat abuse of the FHA helped lead to the Great Recession and in the years afterward, FHA insured loans hit losses of $70 billion.

By 2012, the FHA was $16 billion in the hole and had to be bailed out. The delinquency rate for FHA loans is still more than three times higher than normal loans, and depending on the period, have hovered between 8% and 14%. Time to bring in the illegal aliens…

Justice Department Escalates Fight Against Obamacare, Arguing Unconstitutionality In Federal Court – Washington Times

The Trump administration told a federal appeals court Monday it thinks all of Obamacare is unconstitutional, marking an escalation in its fight against the 2010 law.

Justice Department lawyers previously had argued that if the courts found Obamacare’s “individual mandate” is no longer constitutional, then a narrow slice of the program — consumer protections for people with pre-existing conditions — could not stand, either.

A federal judge in Texas went much further in a December ruling, agreeing with plaintiff states who said the whole law should be invalidated. On Monday, administration lawyers said they’re fine with that.

“The Department of Justice has determined that the district court’s judgment should be affirmed,” they wrote to the 5th U.S. Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals.

Underscoring that point, they’re not urging the court to reverse any of U.S. District Court Judge Reed O’Connor’s decision…

Hundreds Of Dead People Received Millions In Social Security Payments In Fiscal Year 2018 – Daily Caller

Social Security Administration (SSA) officials paid nearly $42 million to about 500 dead people in three states, according to Office of the Inspector General audits released in March.

Around 70 million people received more than $1 trillion of economic assistance through Social Security programs in fiscal year 2018. Payments end when the beneficiary dies, however.

The SSA identified 160 individuals who had possibly died, with 57 from Michigan from 1971 through 2010 and 103 from Maryland from 1979 through 2015. Around $16.9 million in payments were issued to 145 individuals who reportedly died in these states. The remaining 15 were alive.

There was an instance where a woman received payments for a person who died in 2000 and used it for personal benefit. She pleaded guilty for theft and was required to pay nearly $170,000 back to SSA. The court said Monday that it lacked the authority to second-guess the president’s decision.
