Melissa Click is assistant professor at University of Missouri, but in her off time, she’s a fascist totalitarian who wants to set up a social justice warrior North Korean camp and doesn’t want any damn media to record it.
Here she is caught on camera calling for student “muscle” to take out a student journalist:
It appears that she tries to grab his camera, which comes pretty close to assault.
Amazingly, she is actually teaches communications, meaning that she would be instructing student journalists in her classroom.
She must have started to see the social media firestorm coming, because she’s protected her Twitter account:
Is funny that @melissaclick’s Twitter cover photo is a meme of her that states “Media is love. Everyone welcome!”
Yeah… she’s in trouble.
The Obama administration is praising protesters who successfully forced University of Missouri President Tim Wolfe to announce his resignation.
White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest praised the group of protesters for rallying together and demanding change, pointing out that Obama’s first presidential campaign was embodied by the same spirit.
“I think this also illustrates something that the president talked a lot about in the context of – in his campaign, that a few people speaking up and speaking out can have a profound impact on the communities where we live and work,” he said during the daily press briefing today.
The group of students accused Wolfe of enabling “a culture of racism” on campus and ignoring student concerns about recent events. Wolfe resigned after members of the college football team joined the protests, saying they wouldn’t suit up for the next game.
“That’s the kind of dialogue and work and unity that the Mizzou community is going to need to make progress on this issue,” Earnest said, in reaction to the decision calling it “a testament to the courage of the people on campus.”
He said that President Obama himself was unlikely to make a public statement about the events on campus, but didn’t rule it out sometime in the future. Earnest reminded reporters that he grew up in Missouri and shared his own thoughts on the situation.
“I think any state institution is a product of the state and that state’s history and there’s a very painful history – and it’s not ancient history in the state of Missouri,” Earnest said.
The list of demands by the protesters included that Wolfe “acknowledge his white male privilege” and hire more black college faculty members.
Now who’s being the child?
Conservative YouTube sensation CJ Pearson, a 13-year-old black middle schooler from Georgia, revealed on Wednesday that he’s been blocked from following President Obama on Twitter. He’s also unable to view the president’s tweets.

“It’s an honor,” Pearson tells The American Mirror, insisting he did nothing to warrant being blocked, except his most recent video released last week.
In the video, he accuses the president of playing politics with the Texas student who was suspended for bringing a clock to school that appeared to be a bomb.
“He’s used this child as a political prop,” Pearson said. “This president has used this child to push his radical, leftward agenda. And I think it’s disgusting, and I think many, many people agree.”
Pearson’s video has been viewed over 1.8 million times on YouTube.
UPDATE – 10:23 p.m.:
CJ says the White House issued a statement saying the president didn’t block him on Twitter. CJ responds here:
A Maryland man has been arrested for making threats against La Plata residents on social media.
Carlos Anthony Hollins, 20, of Waldorf, Maryland, has been charged with threats of mass violence for allegedly sending a tweet Wednesday afternoon that read:
IM NOT GONNA STAND FOR THIS NO. MORE. TONIGHT WE PURGE ! KILL ALL THE WHITE PPL IN THE TOWN OF LAPLATA. #BLACKLIVESMATTER
The Twitter account from which the tweet was sent has since been suspended.
The La Plata Police Department has deployed additional officers to patrol the streets following the threat.
No further details about the incident have been released.
Hollins is being held on $250,000 bond.
The federal government is spending nearly $1 million to create an online database that will track “misinformation” and hate speech on Twitter.
The National Science Foundation is financing the creation of a web service that will monitor “suspicious memes” and what it considers “false and misleading ideas,” with a major focus on political activity online.
The “Truthy” database, created by researchers at Indiana University, is designed to “detect political smears, astroturfing, misinformation, and other social pollution.”
One G-man’s “social pollution” is another free man’s First Amendment right. The very term sounds like something out of a 1920s Italian fascist tract. And why is the federal government even deciding which ideas are “false and misleading,” let alone tracking them?
According to the project’s grant, the service “could mitigate the diffusion of false and misleading ideas, detect hate speech and subversive propaganda, and assist in the preservation of open debate.”
In 2004, dissent was “the highest form of patriotism.” A decade later, it’s called “subversive propaganda” and categorized as the lowest form of treason. Truthy would add a button to Twitter so that people could report their neighbors and family members for Thoughtcrime against the State.
Filippo Menczer (who sounds like an author of that 1920s Italian fascist tract) is Truthy’s lead investigator and closely affiliated with “non-partisan” groups like President Obama’s Organizing for Action, Moveon.org and Greenpeace. The software’s very name comes from ardent conservative hater Stephen Colbert.
It’s hard to denounce the more paranoid allegations of Obama’s opponents when his administration routinely goes beyond their wildest imaginings.
Oh no! That rascally South Carolina Governor, Nikki Haley, who dares to be a Conservative even though she is both a woman and a minority got a VERY politically incorrect Christmas gift. What will Liberals on Twitter do? Embrace Haley, and actually be tolerant? Or launch violent, hateful tweets at the governor?
South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley received a brand new Beretta PX4 Storm pistol for Christmas. While she was extremely happy with the gift, liberals predictably responded with hateful messages, including wishes she would kill herself with it, Twitchyreported Friday.
“Our family had a wonderful Christmas together! I must have been good Santa gave me a Beretta PX4 Storm,” shetweeted.
“Please God, use it on yourself. Like before New Years,” one person said in response.
“I hope you don’t accidentally shoot someone in your family with it. Actually, I don’t really care either way,” another person said.
Yet another person falsely claimed Haley was somehow promoting murder by posting a picture of the pistol.
“I know where she should stick it,” one person exclaimed.
Some refused to understand why Haley would want or need a gun.
“No clue as to why our governor needs a handgun,” tweeted “Katie Thompson.”
Setting aside for a moment the fact that the Constitution allows for the private ownership of guns, Haley was the target of a parent volunteer who was arrested earlier in December for threatening to kill the Republican governor.
