President Trump on Monday announced that he’s directing the Pentagon to create a “space force” as the Defense Department’s sixth military service branch.

“When it comes to defending America, it is not enough to merely have an American presence in space. We must have American dominance in space,” Trump said during a meeting with members of the National Space Council (NSC).

“I’m hereby directing the Department of Defense and Pentagon to immediately begin the process necessary to establish a space force as the sixth branch of the armed forces. That’s a big statement. We are going to have the Air Force and we are going to have the Space Force, separate but equal.”…

Alleged CIA Leaker Charged With Disclosing Classified Information – New York Post

Manhattan federal prosecutors on Monday slapped a former CIA software engineer – who was already in prison on child porn charges – with a slew of new charges accusing him of the theft of classified information.

Joshua Adam Schulte, 29, was hit with a 13-count superseding indictment Monday that accuses him with everything from the theft of government property to copyright infringement to obstruction of justice.

The feds say Schulte illegally leaked classified information, including national defense information that he believed could be used “to the injury of the United States and the advantage of a foreign nation.” He faces up to 135 years in prison if convicted.

Schulte has been in Manhattan’s Metropolitan Correctional Center since last year after the feds raided his NYC apartment on suspicion that he had leaked classified documents to Wikileaks in what has been described as one of the worst leaks in CIA history…

Bush-Appointed Judge Strikes Down Kansas Voter ID Law – Daily Caller

A federal judge in Kansas City struck down a state law Monday requiring Kansas voters to show proof of citizenship before casting ballots.

U.S. District Judge Julie Robinson, a George W. Bush appointee, found the statute unlawfully burdens ballot access for eligible voters, in violation of the National Voter Registration Act (NVRA) and the Constitution.

“The court determines that the magnitude of potentially disenfranchised voters impacted by the law and its enforcement scheme cannot be justified by the scant evidence of noncitizen voter fraud before and after the law was passed, by the need to ensure the voter rolls are accurate, or by the state’s interest in promoting public confidence in elections,” the judge wrote.

Robinson maintained that prohibiting eligible citizens from voting because they lack proper identification did more to damage public confidence in the electoral process than voter fraud…

Firefighters Suspended For Making Porn Videos At Firehouse – Circa

Two firefighters in Ohio have been suspended for making pornographic videos at a firehouse.

Akron officials say Arthur Dean and Deann Eller were both placed on administrative leave on Monday while the city launched an investigation into the matter.

Fire Chief Clarence Tucker says someone told a firefighter last week about the acts possibly being performed on city property.

The firefighter reported it to his supervisor, who then told the chief.

Tucker and Mayor Dan Horrigan said in a joint statement that Dean and Eller did not work at the same fire station, but were known to be in a long-term relationship.

Officials have not identified the firehouse where the videos took place.

A spokesman for the local firefighters’ union says Eller and Dean have no comment…

Venezuela Forced To Shut Down Oil Production As Operations Fall Apart – OilPrice

Every week the crisis in Venezuela takes a turn for the worse.

There are now signs that its oil industry is entering a dangerous new phase. Argus Media reports that Venezuela has begun to “proactively shut in oil production to cope with nearly replete terminal storage, further accelerating an output decline and bringing the OPEC country closer to the psychological barrier of 1mn b/d.”

Venezuela’s oil production fell to an average of 1.392 million barrels per day in May, down another 42,000 bpd from a month earlier, according to OPEC’s secondary sources. However, with the crisis in Venezuela spiraling out of control at a horrific pace, the numbers from May might as well be a year ago.

The May numbers don’t reflect the full ramifications of having to deal with inadequate port capacity, after PDVSA diverted operations to Venezuela from its Caribbean island refineries and storage facilities following the attempt by ConocoPhillips to take control of them…

Audi CEO Rupert Stadler Arrested In Germany As Volkswagen Emissions Scandal Lingers – USA Today

The CEO of Audi was arrested in Germany on suspicion of his involvement in the Volkswagen emissions scandal.

The German investigation ensnared Audi boss Rupert Stadler, who was widely considered a subject of the probe but had so far survived the fallout from the scandal despite questions over the VW luxury brand’s role.

Stadler, who was accused by Munich prosecutors of collusion, becomes the first person in the VW executive suite to spend time behind bars in connection with the scandal.

But he’s not the first high-level executive to face accusations of involvement. Former VW CEO Martin Winterkorn was previously indicted in the U.S. on felony charges of conspiracy and wire fraud, but he has eluded arrest because he has not traveled to the U.S. since the Justice Department filed charges…

113 Politicians Have Been Killed During This Campaign Season In Mexico – PVDN

Gunmen shot and killed a mayor running for re-election in Mexico on Thursday, the second murder of a politician in a week after a candidate running for federal office was shot in the back of the head while taking a selfie with a supporter.

At least 113 politicians have been killed in the bloodiest election campaign in Mexico’s modern history, and the violence appears to be intensifying in the final weeks before the July 1 nationwide election.

Political assassinations have rocked the electoral season leading up to July 1, when voters will decide over 3,000 down-ballot seats and elect a new president.

Widespread disenchantment with the ruling Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI) over record levels of violence, political corruption and sluggish economic growth has helped propel leftist Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador to lead voter preferences for the presidency…

After Three Decades, Couple Prevails Over Union – Washington Free Beacon

When David and Shirley Pirlott filed a federal labor complaint against Teamsters Local 75 on Nov. 8, 1987, the day before the Berlin Wall fell, they did not imagine they would have to wait 30 years to resolve the dispute.

The Pirlotts were finally vindicated in March 2018 when the Wisconsin-based Teamsters local mailed them separate checks of about $3,000 for failing to allow them to opt out of union dues.

The case spanned five presidencies, dozens of National Labor Relations Board members, and numerous appearances before the D.C. Court of Appeals. In the time it took for the NLRB to issue its decision, the Pirlotts welcomed six grandchildren and four great grandchildren to the world, and Local 75 no longer existed having merged into Local 662.

Child Border Crossers Have Higher Standard Of Living Than 13 Million Impoverished American Children – Breitbart

Migrant children who cross into the United States either alone or with adults have a higher standard of living once they are put into federal care than the more than 13 million American children who are living in poverty across the country.

In Fiscal Year 2017, the federal government referred nearly 41,000 unaccompanied minor border crossers to the Unaccompanied Alien Children program which is facilitated by the Office of Refugee Resettlement.

Data provided to Breitbart News reveals that each unaccompanied minor costs the federal government about $34,660 annually. This is a higher standard of living per child than the roughly 13 million American children who continue to live below the U.S. poverty line.

In 2016, there were about 13.2 million American children under the age of 18 living in poverty. These are U.S. children, for example, whose parents or guardians – in a household of four – earn less than $24,500 a year…

Here’s The Rundown On The Corrupt Obama-Appointed Judge Who Tossed Manafort In Jail – Joe Hoft

It sure seems like every Obama appointed judge is a far left radical who puts their own distorted interpretation of reality ahead of the U.S. Constitution. In this respect, U.S. District Judge Amy Berman Jackson is a case study. This past week she again showed that she puts politics before the law.

Her actions with Paul Manafort alone are cause for her to be removed or impeached.

We reported two months ago and again earlier this month, that Obama appointed liberal activist Judge, Amy Berman Jackson, was assigned to the most important court case in U.S. history.

Sadly, Judge Jackson has a horrible far left record on the bench. In 2013 Judge Jackson rejected arguments from the Catholic Church that Obamacare’s requirements that employers provide cost free coverage to contraceptive services is contrary to their religious beliefs and violated their religious and free speech freedoms. This was overturned by the Supreme Court…

But instead of using propellants like a typical launch would, SpinLaunch would slingshot them into space using a novel catapult technology.

Gun Sales Set Record Again In May – Washington Free Beacon

The number of gun-related background checks reached an all-time high once again in May, a report posted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation on Monday shows.

March 2018 saw more NICS checks than any previous March.

Supreme Court Sides With Colorado Baker Who Refused To Make Wedding Cake For Same-Sex Couple – Fox News

The Supreme Court ruled Monday in favor of a Colorado baker who refused to make a wedding cake for a same-sex couple, in one of the most closely watched cases of the term.

In a 7-2 decision, the justices set aside a Colorado court ruling against the baker – while stopping short of deciding the broader issue of whether a business can refuse to serve gay and lesbian people. The opinion was penned by Justice Anthony Kennedy, who is often the swing justice in tight cases.

The narrow ruling here focused on what the court described as anti-religious bias on the Colorado Civil Rights Commission when it ruled against baker Jack Phillips.

“The Commission’s hostility was inconsistent with the First Amendment’s guarantee that our laws be applied in a manner that is neutral toward religion,” Kennedy wrote in his majority opinion.

The court said the broader issue, though, “must await further elaboration.”…

It’s Now Against The Law In California To Shower And Do Laundry On The Same Day – True Pundit

Governor Jerry Brown is retiring but not before he passes a few draconian laws as parting gifts for California. Two bills were signed into law on Thursday of last week to “help California be better prepared for future droughts and the effects of climate change.”

The mandatory water conservation standards will be permanent, according to their wording, and not just for use in times of crisis. To make a long story short, now that these bills are law, it’s illegal to take a shower and do a load of laundry in the same day because you’ll exceed your “ration.”

Here’s the wording of the new laws:

Senate Bill 606 establishes a “governing body” to oversee all water suppliers, both private and public and will require extensive paperwork from those utility companies.

Assembly Bill 1668 is where it gets personal. This establishes limits on indoor water usage for every person in California and the amount allowed will decrease even further over the next 12 years…

“The construction of this new substantial wall will improve overall border security, the safety and effectiveness of Border Patrol agents, the safety of the public, and will enhance the atmosphere for business and commerce in the area,” said Rodney Scott, chief of Customs and Border Patrol for the San Diego area…

Leftist Nightmare Update: New Jersey Imposes State Obamacare-Style Individual Mandate – Daily Signal

New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy has signed into law a measure that preserved the Obamacare mandate requiring state residents to buy health insurance.

Starting next year, the bill will require all uninsured residents of the Garden State to buy health insurance or face a tax penalty, which would be deposited into a New Jersey Health Insurance Premium Security Fund. The latter was created by a second bill Murphy also signed Wednesday.

The controversial individual mandate was repealed as a federal requirement as part of the Republican Congress’ tax reform bill passed in December and signed into law by President Donald Trump.

The federal mandate will go away next year. With enactment of its legislation, New Jersey becomes the first state to replace it with a state mandate.

The federal mandate required anyone who didn’t have health insurance through an employer or Medicare to buy a health insurance plan or pay a tax penalty….

Disney Under Fire for Hiring Convicted Pedophiles To Work On Kids Shows – PJ Media

It seems like everyone is noticing the glaring hypocrisy of Disney regarding the decision to cancel Roseanne after her offensive tweets when other employees and personalities have done much worse – including raping kids. The Twitter account for the documentary An Open Secret, which details the open abuse of children in Hollywood, tweeted this explosive information about the re-hiring of convicted child rapist Brian Peck.

With a rap sheet like that, how is it legal for Peck to even work near children? The original conviction was for the abuse of a Nickelodeon child star, according to Celebrity Insider:

After Brian Peck’s arrest and conviction, Disney (which is owned by ABC) hired him to work on the children’s series Yay, Me!…

Harvard Study Explodes Puerto Rico Death Rate To Bash Trump – Daniel Greenfield

Ever since Hurricane Maria hit, there was one thing that the left wanted. And it wanted it now.

More dead Puerto Ricans.

The low death toll undermined efforts by the media to transform the hurricane into a Trump scandal. It made a mockery of Mayor Carmen Yulin Cruz warning about genocide before sending her aide over to the nearest t-shirt printing shop, miraculously left standing, to print up another slogan shirt for CNN.

The media spread urban legends of morgues packed with thousands of corpses. But they never materialized. Congressional Democrats demanded an investigation to expose the full death toll.

The ‘Deathers’ weren’t satisfied with the official death toll of 64 dead.

Now Harvard has delivered. “Hurricane Maria killed more than 4,600 in Puerto Rico, not 64,” USA Today blares. “A New Study Says Nearly 6,000 Died In Puerto Rico,”…

China Unexpectedly Slashes Auto Tariffs After Trump Trade Truce – Zero Hedge

In an unexpected, but notable, victory for President Trump’s aggressive trade agenda and exporters of cars around the globe, China’s Ministry of Finance announced Tuesday morning that it would slash passenger car duties to 15%, further opening up the market that’s been a key target of the U.S. in its trade fight with Beijing.

This comes less than a month after China decided to ease restrictions on foreign competition in its auto sector and also address some of the US’s concerns about intellectual property theft.

The reduction follows a truce that Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin announced during a Sunday appearance on “Fox News Sunday”. In response, the US has continued to reverse its policy of pressuring telecom giant ZTE, with Trump taking steps to rescue it.

“This is, without a doubt, positive news,” said Juergen Pieper, Frankfurt-based head of automobiles research at Bankhaus Metzler who spoke with Bloomberg…

Rep. Steve King (R-IA) has introduced legislation named after Oakland Mayor Libby Schaaf – who infamously helped criminal illegal aliens evade deportation – that would imprison sanctuary city politicians.

As Breitbart News has reported, back in February Schaaf tipped off illegal aliens and businesses who employ illegal aliens of a pending raid by the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

Schaaf’s warning of the ICE raid allowed illegal aliens convicted of sex crimes to evade deportation, as Breitbart News reported. As Breitbart exclusively reported, Schaaf is facing a lawsuit by the Immigration Reform Law Institute (IRLI)…

Starbucks Opens Up Its Cafes To Loiterers, Vagrants And Drug Addicts – Your News Wire

Starbucks has opened its cafes and restrooms to non-paying loiterers, vagrants and drug addicts as part of its new anti-racist inclusive policy. The new policy comes five weeks after two black men who hadn’t purchased anything were arrested at a Philadelphia Starbucks.

AP reports: Company executives have said its previous policies were loose and ambiguous, leaving decisions on whether people could sit in its stores or use the restroom up to store managers.

Starbucks said it has told workers to consider anyone who walks into its stores a customer, “regardless of whether they make a purchase.” The company said anyone can use its cafes, patios or restrooms without buying anything, but it noted workers should still call the police if someone is a safety threat.

“We are committed to creating a culture of warmth and belonging where everyone is welcome,” Starbucks said in a statement…

The Trump administration is showing no signs of slowing its slashing of Obama-era regulations, beating their plans to cut two for every new rule and saving more than double what was hoped for, according to a new report.

“The Trump administration is making substantial deregulatory progress,” said a new report from American Action Forum.

“The administration is prioritizing deregulation, and it is set to double its goals of a two-for-one deregulatory-to-regulatory ratio and $686.6 million in net savings,” said the report from forum experts Dan Bosch, director of regulatory policy, and Dan Goldbeck, a senior analyst.

Nanoparticles Derived From Tea Leaves Destroy Lung Cancer Cells – EurekAlert

Nanoparticles derived from tea leaves inhibit the growth of lung cancer cells, destroying up to 80% of them, new research by a joint Swansea University and Indian team has shown.

The team made the discovery while they were testing out a new method of producing a type of nanoparticle called quantum dots. These are tiny particles which measure less than 10 nanometres. A human hair is 40,000 nanometres thick.

Although nanoparticles are already used in healthcare, quantum dots have only recently attracted researchers’ attention. Already they are showing promise for use in different applications, from computers and solar cells to tumour imaging and treating cancer.

Quantum dots can be made chemically, but this is complicated and expensive and has toxic side effects. The Swansea-led research team were therefore exploring a non-toxic plant-based alternative method of producing the dots, using tea leaf extract.

Tea leaves contain a wide variety of compounds, including polyphenols, amino acids, vitamins and antioxidants…

‘Party Like It’s 1776’ Theme Too Offensive For New Jersey School Prom – Daily Caller

A New Jersey high school principal apologized Friday for a “Party Like It’s 1776” theme at prom.

Dr. Dennis Perry, principal of Cherry Hill High School, posted on his Twitter feed an apology for the theme printed on prom tickets, calling the decision “insensitive and irresponsible,” reported Fox News.

“I especially apologize to our African American students, who I have let down by not initially recognizing the inappropriateness of this wording,” Perry wrote in a statement.

To make up for what he deemed an indiscretion, the principal said students would not need to bring their prom tickets in order to get into the event – they would instead only need to state their names to be matched up with a list of who bought tickets.

Cherry Hill High School would also give every student attendee a “commemorative” ticket displaying a new design at the prom. Perry stated that a “diverse group of people” would review information distributed by the school prior to its dissemination, in the future…

Less than a week after Stefan Halper was outed as the FBI informant who infiltrated the Trump campaign, public records reveal that the 73-year-old Oxford University professor and former U.S. government official was paid handsomely by the Obama administration starting in 2012 for various research projects.

A longtime CIA and FBI asset who once reportedly ran a spy-operation on the Jimmy Carter administration, Halper was enlisted by the FBI to spy on several Trump campaign aides during the 2016 U.S. election. Meanwhile, a search of public records reveals that between 2012 and 2018, Halper received a total of $1,058,161 from the Department of Defense.

Halper’s contracts were funded through four annual awards paid directly out of the Pentagon’s Office of Net Assessment…

John Brennan Fires Warning Shot At Ryan And McConnell After Trump Orders DOJ To Investigate FBI’s Campaign Infiltration – Gateway Pundit

Former CIA Director-turned-Twitter troll, John Brennan lashed out at Trump on Sunday evening after the President ordered the DOJ to investigate the FBI’s infiltration of his campaign.

Brennan also fired a warning shot to House Speaker Paul Ryan and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, claiming they will ‘bear the majority of the responsibility of the harm done to our democracy’ if they don’t stop Trump.

As previously reported by TGP’s Kristinn Taylor, President Trump tweeted Sunday afternoon he is ordering the Justice Department to investigate whether the Obama administration spied on his 2016 presidential campaign.

The order comes on the heels of leaks to the New York Times and Washington Post that the Obama administration had an “informant” make several approaches to three Trump campaign officials, included one that involved an offer of cash and another an offer to “advise” the campaign…

The Obama administration – with or without the knowledge and direction of President Obama himself – perverted one of the most powerful, clandestine spying operations in the world and used it at the very height of a presidential campaign to spy on political opponents, punish them and, ultimately, silence them through extortion.

If this was orchestrated without the express knowledge of Mr. Obama, then it reveals just how blatantly he instructed by example the weaponizing of the entire federal government…

Lava From Kilauea Volcano Enters Ocean, Creates Toxic Cloud – Circa

White plumes of acid and extremely fine shards of glass billowed into the sky over Hawaii as molten rock from Kilauea volcano poured into the ocean, creating yet another hazard from an eruption that began more than two weeks ago.

Authorities on Sunday warned the public to stay away from the toxic steam cloud, which is formed by a chemical reaction when lava touches seawater.

Further upslope, lava continued to gush out of large cracks in the ground that formed in residential neighborhoods in a rural part of the Big Island. The molten rock formed rivers that bisected forests and farms as it meandered toward the coast.

The rate of sulfur dioxide gas shooting from the ground fissures tripled, leading Hawaii County to repeat warnings about air quality.

At the volcano’s summit, two explosive eruptions unleashed clouds of ash. Winds carried much of the ash toward the southwest…

How The FBI And CIA Restarted The Cold War To Protect Themselves – Thomas J. Farnan

On December 29, 2016, the Obama Administration – with three weeks remaining in its term – issued harsh sanctions against Russia over supposed election interference. Two compounds in the United States were closed and 35 Russian diplomats were ordered to leave the country.

Russia responded by calling the actions “Cold War déjà vu.”

In the two years that have elapsed since, it has been learned that the “intelligence” that formed the basis for the sanctions was beyond dubious.

A single unverified “dossier” compiled by an ex-British spy with no discernable connections to Russia was shopped to FISA judges and the media as something real.

The dossier was opposition research by the Hillary Clinton campaign, a fact that was not disclosed and actively hidden by off-the-book transactions through the law firm Perkins Coie.

As a dog that chases its tail, the fake dossier was being used to cause the investigation which itself lent credibility to the notion of Russian interference…

The Social Security Administration improperly disbursed an estimated $571 million in disability benefits to people who had already returned to work, according to a government audit report.

All Of Chile’s 34 Bishops To Resign En Masse Over Sex Abuse Scandal – Reuters

In an unprecedented move, all of Chile’s bishops offered to resign on Friday after attending a crisis meeting this week with Pope Francis about the cover-up of sexual abuse in the South American nation.

Beijing Showing Signs Of Compromise In Trade Talks With U.S. – Associated Press

China is sending conciliatory signals as U.S. and Chinese negotiators meet in Washington to try to head off a trade war between the world’s two biggest economies.

Beijing has dropped an anti-dumping investigation into imported U.S. sorghum, which it had accused the United States of unfairly subsiding. It has also given approval for a U.S. private equity firm to buy Toshiba’s memory chip business.

Those gestures could suggest a thaw with the U.S. as trade talks went on for a second day Friday in Washington.

“China has come to trade,” Larry Kudlow, the top White House economic adviser, told reporters. “They are meeting many of our demands. No deal yet, to be sure, and it’s probably going to take a while – it’s a process.”

Nestle And Starbucks Strike $7.15 Billion Coffee Licensing Deal – Reuters

Swiss-based Nestle , the world’s largest food and beverage company, will pay Starbucks Corp $7.15 billion in cash for exclusive rights to sell the U.S. chain’s packaged coffees and teas around the world, tying a premium brand to Nestle’s global distribution muscle.

The agreement announced on Monday could rev up Starbucks’ roughly $2 billion business selling packaged Starbucks coffee, Teavana tea and other products through grocery stores and other retailers, including in China.

The alliance, which amounts to a licensing arrangement, frees Seattle-based Starbucks to focus on improving its mainstay U.S. cafe business, where traffic growth has stalled amid competition from fast-food chains and upscale coffee houses, while rapidly adding shops in China.

Starbucks will use proceeds to increase planned stock buybacks to $20 billion from $15 billion through fiscal 2020. It said the deal would add to earnings per share by 2021. Nestle said it expects the alliance to add to its earnings by 2019, but will not alter its share buyback plans…

Over 1,600 Detained As Anti-Putin Protests Sweep Russia – Western Journal

In a wave of rare public protests, thousands of Russians took to the streets Saturday to condemn the March election that saw Russian leader Vladimir Putin re-elected as president.

Putin, who has been Russia’s leader for 18 years, will be inaugurated Monday to begin a new six-year term. The Russian strongman’s critics have said the election he won was rigged.

Protests took place all across Russia, including St. Petersburg, not far from Russia’s western border, and Yakutsk, far to the northeastern part of the vast nation. The group OVD-Info said roughly 1,600 people were arrested in 20 cities overall.

The size of the protests was in dispute. The BBC reported that Moscow police said about 1,500 people marched in Russia’s capital. However, Reuters said its reporters at the scene estimated there were several thousand people present.

Protest organizer Alexei Navalny was among those arrested in Moscow, where protesters chanted, “Putin is a thief!” and “Russia will be free!”…

Supreme Court Of Finland: Sex Between 23-Year-Old Muslim Migrant And 10-Year-Old Girl Is Not Rape – Voice Of Europe:

Finland’s Supreme Court upheld the ruling, rejecting a request from the prosecution to appeal a three-year jail term for a 23-year-old asylum seeker who had sex with a 10-year-old saying it didn’t constitute rape.

The man is named as Juusuf Muhamed Abbudin and he was convicted of aggravated sexual abuse, which the prosecution had sought the harsher sentence of aggravated rape.

The incident took place in autumn of 2016 in the southern Pirkanmaa region near the city of Tampere. He had sexual intercourse with a girl, 10-years-old at the time, after having exchanged sexually charged messages with her.

The Prikanmaa District Court and the Appeal Court, in Turku charged the man with aggravated sexual abuse and a three-year prison sentence in 2017 saying the girl wasn’t forced into the act or overcome by fear.

The asylum seeker was also ordered to pay the girl 3,000 euros…

Leftist Insanity Update: De Blasio’s New York To Open Druggie ‘Shooting Sites’ – PJ Media

Mayor Bill de Blasio on Friday revealed four sites where he plans to open controversial drug-injection centers – and they are near schools and in the heart of stroller-mom territory. The proposed sites – where addicts would be allowed to inject illegal drugs under supervision – are located on the Park Slope-Boerum Hill border in Brooklyn, in Hell’s Kitchen and Washington Heights in Manhattan and in Longwood in the Bronx.

And residents are fuming. “It’s not a good idea at all. We have kids to raise,” said Keisha Brandon, a 28-year-old mother of two from Park Slope. Nobody should be able to shoot up legally. That’s saying to kids that people are allowed to do it, so it’s a possibility for you.”

Yeah, well – tough. This is what you vote for when you vote for “compassion,” “tolerance,” and “fairness.” Even former addicts think it’s a bad idea (which of course it is):

Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway Reports Net Loss Of $1.14B In Q1 – Fortune

Warren Buffett has warned about the “ nightmare” tied to new accounting-rule changes. Now it’s beginning.

The rules, which require Berkshire to report unrealized gains or losses in equity investments in net income, helped fuel a $1.14 billion loss at Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway Inc. in the first quarter, the Omaha, Nebraska-based company said Saturday in a statement. That marked the company’s first net loss since 2009.

The “requirement will produce some truly wild and capricious swings in our GAAP bottom line,” Buffett said in his annual letter to shareholders released in February. The accounting change “will severely distort Berkshire’s net income figures and very often mislead commentators and investors.”

Buffett has said operating results are a better barometer of company performance, in part because Berkshire’s more than $170 billion stock portfolio can fluctuate from quarter to quarter…

How Department Of Justice And The FBI Are Using Bogus Secrecy Claims To Protect Their Own – RedState

The FBI and Department of Justice has been engaged in a low level guerrilla war against committees in the House and the Senate… and to a certain extent the White House, itself… by withholding information that they deem to be secret. This has played out time and again.

For instance, back in January, Chuck Grassley called out the FBI and Justice for bad faith redactions of documents:

In his floor speech Wednesday, Grassley said that his efforts to declassify the memo detailing the allegations had been stymied by FBI, which he said “is falsely claiming that three of our unclassified paragraphs each contain the same, single classified fact.”

“If FBI really believed this fact was classified, then the FBI and the Department should take better care to act consistent with that belief. Unfortunately, I suspect something else is really going on here,” Grassley said. “It sure looks like a bureaucratic game of hide the ball, rather than a genuine concern about national security…

Obama DOJ’s Attempts To Influence Investigations Exposed In McCabe Probe – Washington Times

Tucked inside the inspector general’s report on former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe was the story of an August 2016 phone call from a high-ranking Justice Department official who Mr. McCabe thought was trying to shut down the FBI’s investigation into the Clinton Foundation while Hillary Clinton was running for president.

The official was “very pissed off” at the FBI, the report says, and demanded to know why the FBI was still pursuing the Clinton Foundation when the Justice Department considered the case dormant. Former FBI officials said the fact that a call was made is even more stunning than its content.

James Wedick, who conducted corruption investigations at the bureau, said he never fielded a call from the Justice Department about any of his cases during 35 years there. He said it suggested interference.

“It is bizarre – and that word can’t be used enough – to have the Justice Department call the FBI’s deputy director and try to influence the outcome of an active corruption investigation,” he said…

Apes Can Bring Lawsuits, 9th Circuit Says – Daily Caller

A three-judge panel of the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals Monday found an ape satisfies the criteria for standing to bring a lawsuit under Article III of the Constitution.

Though the panel concluded the case could not proceed because apes do not have standing under the federal law at issue, it did acknowledge they meet basic requirements for standing set out by the Constitution.

The case was occasioned in 2011 when a wildlife photographer named David Slater left his camera on a nature reserve in Indonesia. The camera was recovered by a crested macaque named Naruto, a black ape native to isolated corners of the south Pacific. The ape took selfies with the camera, which Slater eventually reclaimed…

Uranus Smells Like Farts, Study Shows – Circa

Uranus is made up of a gas that gives rotten eggs their smell, according to a new study from the journal Nature Astronomy. The gas was detected around the planet’s cloud tops and was the center of debate among scientists for years. The BBC reports this new discovery could help scientists figure out how outer planets are formed.

Hydrogen sulphide smells bad to humans and it took forever to discover this smell because the compound is a “signature ingredient” to the smell of rotten eggs and farts, as reported by Business Insider. The EPA says humans can smell it when it makes up three out of every billion molecules in the air.

LiveScience reports the smell comes from sewers and volcanoes on Earth. The smell, while found in Uranus, is not found in fellow planets such as Jupiter and Saturn.

“If an unfortunate human were ever to descend through Uranus’ clouds, they would be met with very unpleasant and odiferous conditions,” said Patrick Irwin…

Texas Man Sentenced To 50 Tears In Prison For $1.2M Theft Of Fajitas – Circa

A Texas man has been sentenced to 50 years in prison for stealing $1.2 million worth of fajitas over nine years.

Fifty-three-year-old Gilberto Escamilla was sentenced Friday after pleading guilty to theft by a public servant.

The Brownsville Herald reports he told the court the fajita scheme spun out of control.

His scam was uncovered when he missed work for a medical appointment and an 800-pound fajita delivery arrived at the center, which doesn’t serve fajitas.

Vulnerable Red-State Democrats Ensure Mike Pompeo’s Confirmation As Secretary Of State – Washington Examiner

Sen. Joe Donnelly on Monday became the third Democrat to announce support for Mike Pompeo to become the next secretary of state, assuring Pompeo’s confirmation as early as this week.

Donnelly, of Indiana, said in a statement that Pompeo “is capable of advancing U.S. interests and leading the State Department.” Sens. Heidi Heitkamp, D-N.D., and Joe Manchin, D-W.Va., announced they will also vote for Pompeo.

All three represent “red” states that voted for Donald Trump in 2016 and all are fighting for re-election in 2018. Many analysts have rated the races in all three states as “toss up,” so the senators’ decision to support Pompeo could help sway voters’ decisions. Trump Will Not Invite Democrats Or The Media To His First State Dinner – Business Insider

President Trump’s first state dinner will exclude congressional Democrats and members of the media in a significant departure from tradition, Politico reported Friday.

According to Politico, four Republican members of Congress are set to attend Trump’s first state dinner: House Speaker Paul Ryan, House Foreign Affairs Committee chairman Ed Royce, and Louisiana Sens. John Kennedy and Bill Cassidy. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell was also invited but will reportedly not be able to attend.

Woman Fined $500 For Saving Free Delta Airlines Snack – Fox News

A Colorado woman is facing a $500 fine from U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) for saving a free apple she received as a snack from Delta Air Lines on her way back to the United States from Paris, France.

Muslim Refugees In Netherlands Angry Because They Have To Clean Their Own Toilets – Voice Of Europe

Inhabitants of a Dutch asylum centre in Alkmaar are angry about the building’s new cleaning policy, Dutch newspaper De Volkskrant reports. The refugees now have to clean their own toilets and need a key to visit their own toilet block.

The toilets in the facility have no toilet paper as refugees use water for cleaning. They bring watering cans with them and as a result faeces spread through the room.

Spokeswoman of the asylum centre, Alet Bouwmeester, says the new cleaning policy has to do with bad hygiene in the toilets: “The idea is that by making persons responsible, things will improve. When you go to a toilet you leave it behind in a clean state, that’s part of our programme”…

Narrative Fail: Newly Discovered CDC Surveys Demolish Anti-Gun Talking Points – Daily Wire

Newly discovered statistics from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) that were never released to the public strengthens the argument for guns, and blows a hole in the gun control narrative. The statistics show that guns are used in a defensive manner against crimes far more than they are used by criminals to commit crimes.

A new report from Florida State University criminologist Gary Kleck shows that recently unearthed surveys from the CDC, which were never made public, show that Americans use guns in millions of defense scenarios every year on average.

Reason reports:

…Kleck conducted the most thorough previously known survey data on the question in the 1990s. His study, which has been harshly disputed in pro-gun-control quarters, indicated that there were more than 2.2 million such defensive uses of guns (DGUs) in America a year.

Now Kleck has unearthed some lost CDC survey data on the question. The CDC essentially confirmed Kleck’s results….

Theresa May has given Vladimir Putin’s administration until midnight on Tuesday to explain how a former spy was poisoned in Salisbury, otherwise she will conclude it was an “unlawful use of force” by the Russian state against the UK.

After chairing a meeting of the national security council, the prime minister told MPs that it was “highly likely” that Russia was responsible for the attack on and his daughter, Yulia. She warned that Britain would not tolerate such a “brazen attempt to murder innocent civilians on our soil”.

In a statement to the House of Commons that triggered an angry response from Moscow, the prime minister said the evidence had shown that Skripal had been targeted by a “military-grade nerve agent of a type developed by Russia”.

Describing the incident as an “indiscriminate and reckless act”, she said that the foreign secretary, Boris Johnson, had summoned the Russian ambassador to Whitehall and demanded an explanation by the end of Tuesday…

Even though Hillary Clinton had help going down a set of stairs in India today, she still nearly fell down.

While visiting Jahaz Mahal in Dhar’s Mandu, Clinton was attempting to descend about 15 stairs. She was holding the arm of an aide. With Huma Abedin following behind, Clinton slipped about halfway down the descent, nearly tumbling down.

A man walking in front of her jumped to grab her as she reached for him. Despite both men helping her get to the bottom of the stairs, she slipped again, nearly doing the splits. Huma stopped to watch as Clinton attempted to regain her balance.

Hillary kicked off her sandals to get to the bottom of the stairs…

CIA Whistleblower Kevin Shipp: ‘Hillary Clinton Was And Is Running A Global Financial Criminal Syndicate’ – Washington Standard

Former CIA Officer and whistleblower Kevin Shipp says the reason for all the crime and treason at the FBI and DOJ can be boiled down to one thing: a global financial crime spree. “Hillary Clinton was running and is running a global financial criminal syndicate,” and Shipp believes Barack Obama was in on it.

Shipp believes that this entire scandal, which will likely end up being the biggest in American history, could result in a Constitutional crisis.

In an interview with USA Watchdog‘s Greg Hunter, Shipp contends, “There could be a Constitutional crisis in that we could see Congressmen, Senators, former Directors of the FBI, and the CIA perp walked after they receive charges.

Could you imagine if senior DOJ officials were arrested, some Congressmen and Senators were arrested and other government officials were arrested on charges and walked out of office? That’s the Constitutional crisis I am talking about…

White House Blocks Takeover Of American Chipmaker Qualcomm By Singapore’s Broadcom In The Name Of National Security – USA Today
.

.
President Trump has blocked Singapore-based Broadcom’s proposed $117 billion takeover of U.S. chipmaker Qualcomm for national security reasons.

In the order released Monday night, Trump cited “credible evidence” that the takeover “threatens to impair the national security of the United States.”

Coming just hours after Broadcom CEO Hock Tan met with security officials at the Pentagon in an effort to save the deal, the order follows an investigation by the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States, which reviews purchases of American companies by foreign investors. The investigation recommended blocking the deal, citing national security risks.

Broadcom has pursued a tie-up with its fellow chip maker for months…

Why The Democrats Made Such An Idiotic Tax Proposal – Roger L. Simon

With the economy roaring as it hasn’t in decades, the stock market at all-time highs, and unemployment (including for blacks and Hispanics) at all-time lows, the Democrats have just proposed to “fix things” by raising taxes.

Say what?

This proposal, which includes raising the highest bracket and the corporate rate (after years of trying to get it down), plus raising the rates for “30 million companies which are organized as sole proprietorships, partnerships, Subchapter-S corporations, and LLCs” not to mention bringing back the alternative minimum tax (a boondoggle for preparers), will end up costing the vast majority of Americans most, if not all, of the money they just got from the Republicans’ tax reform bill.

Call it “Away with all crumbs!”

Only someone as terminally frozen in 1968 as Bernie Sanders, who has emerged as the spokesperson for the proposal, could think of this as anything less than economic suicide…

Complete Waste Of Time And Money Update: House Intel Committee Finds No Evidence Of Collusion Between Trump Campaign And Russia – Washington Times

The House intelligence committee has finished its Russian election-meddling investigation with a draft report concluding there was no collusion or coordination between Donald Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign and the Kremlin, according to GOP panel members.

“The bottom line: The Russians did commit active measures against our election in ‘16, and we think they will do that in the future,” Rep. Mike Conaway, Texas Republican and one of the probe’s leaders, said late Monday on Capitol Hill.

While the Texas Republican said panel members agreed with conclusion of leading U.S. intelligence agencies that Russia had interfered with the election – he added that they disagreed “with the narrative that they were trying to help Trump.”…

RINO Douchebag Arnold Schwarzenegger To Sue Big Oil For ‘First Degree Murder’ – Politico

Arnold Schwarzenegger’s next mission: taking oil companies to court “for knowingly killing people all over the world.”

The former California governor and global environmental activist announced the move Sunday at a live recording of POLITICO’s Off Message podcast here at the SXSW festival, revealing that he’s in talks with several private law firms and preparing a public push around the effort.

“This is no different from the smoking issue. The tobacco industry knew for years and years and years and decades, that smoking would kill people, would harm people and create cancer, and were hiding that fact from the people and denied it.

Then eventually they were taken to court and had to pay hundreds of millions of dollars because of that,” Schwarzenegger said. “The oil companies knew from 1959 on, they did their own study that there would be global warming happening because of fossil fuels, and on top of it that it would be risky for people’s lives, that it would kill.”…

Fake Indian Elizabeth Warren Continues To Speak With Forked Tongue About Her Heritage – Washington Times

Sen. Elizabeth Warren sought Sunday to bolster her shaky claims of Cherokee ancestry with the story of how her racist grandparents drove her parents to elope. But Cherokee genealogist Twila Barnes says that account has its own credibility issues.

Ms. Barnes, who said her research into Ms. Warren’s family found “no evidence” of Native American ancestry, has challenged key elements of the senator’s tale of how her parents, Pauline Reed and Donald Herring, defied his parents by running off to marry.

“The problem with Warren’s story is that none of the evidence supports it,” said Ms. Barnes in a 2016 post on her Thoughts from Polly’s Granddaughter blog. “Her genealogy shows no indication of Cherokee ancestry. Her parents’ wedding doesn’t resemble an elopement…

Arizona Border Officer Falsely Claimed To Be U.S. Citizen – Fox News

Marco Antonio De la Garza Jr., 37, faces criminal charges related to passport fraud and making false statements to U.S. Customs and Border Protection on his federal law enforcement background application, the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Arizona said in a news release.

An indictment filed Wednesday in Tucson said De la Garza lied about his citizenship in October during a background check update tied to his job.

“Specifically, it is alleged that De La Garza is a Mexican citizen who knowingly used a fraudulently obtained Texas birth certificate to apply for a United States passport, the U.S. Attorney’s Office said. “Additionally, the indictment charges he knowingly and willfully used the same fraudulently obtained birth certificate to assert United States citizenship on his five-year background check…

Austin Package Explosions Leave Teen Dead, Women Hurt After Three Blasts In 2 Weeks – Fox News

A teenager was killed and at least two women were seriously hurt after a pair of explosions rocked homes in Austin on Monday – just two weeks after a separate blast which authorities said is linked to at least one of Monday’s incidents.

Austin Police said they received a call about the first explosion in a neighborhood on the northeast side of the city around 6:45 a.m., after the 17-year-old resident found a package on the front step, brought it inside, and opened it in the kitchen where it exploded.

“It is very similar to the incident that occurred in Austin on March 2,” Austin Police Chief Brian Manley told reporters.

Manley said authorities don’t believe the packages came from a delivery through the U.S. Postal Service or private mail carriers, and the placement on the home’s front doorstep also indicated a similarity to the blast earlier this month. Federal law enforcement offcials told Fox News the packages are made to look like mail, but at least the first one did not actually get shipped from the postal service…

White House Unveils Proposals To ‘Harden’ Schools In Wake Of Florida Shooting – The Hill

The Trump administration on Sunday unveiled a series of proposals on school safety and gun restrictions in the wake of the recent shooting in Florida, including a push for states to provide firearms training for school staff members and for Congress to strengthen background checks.

The White House will establish a federal commission to assess how to best address gun violence in schools, but will not propose any legislation of its own. Instead, it will call on Congress to pass legislation strengthening the background check system, and on states to pass laws keeping guns away from dangerous individuals.

The White House is calling on states to adopt extreme risk protection orders, which would allow law enforcement to obtain a court order and temporarily take firearms away from individuals deemed a threat to themselves or others.

The administration will also look to assist states to provide “rigorous firearm training to qualified personnel.”…

Police Failed To Act As 1,000 Girls Beaten, Pimped, Raped, And Even Killed Over 40 Years In Britain’s Worst Grooming Scandal – Breitbart

An investigation by the Sunday Mirror has revealed Britain’s worst ever grooming scandal, which saw authorities paralysed for 40 years by fears of “racism” accusations as grooming gangs victimised up to a thousand girls in Telford.

The left-leaning newspaper claims its 18-month investigation found “abuse on unprecedented levels”, with three women being killed when abuser Azhar Ali Mehmood burned down their home with them inside and two others dying in connection with the scandal.

Social workers reportedly knew of the abuse, which saw girls as young as 11 targeted, from the 1990s, but police took ten years to launch an investigation and the authorities failed to keep tabs on suspects and perpetrators from the South Asian community fearing “racism” accusations.

Victims told the Sunday Mirror that the abuse – which is said to have begun in the 1980s – carries on to this day, and notes that police failed to investigate one recent case five times before a Member of Parliament directly intervened…

Earlier this week, we reported on an Oregon man who filed a lawsuit against WalMart and Dick’s Sporting Goods for discrimination because they would not sell him a rifle even though he was of legal age to obtain one. Now, in another story out of Oregon, a 20-year-old young man is suing Kroger because they would not sell him shotgun shells.

Trump’s Wall Will Pay For Itself By Leading To A Significant Reduction In Welfare Payments To Illegals – New York Post

Mexico won’t have to pay for the wall, after all. U.S. taxpayers won’t have to pick up the tab, either. The controversial barrier, rather, will cover its own cost just by closing the border to illegal immigrants who tend to go on the federal dole.

That’s the finding of recent immigration studies showing the $18 billion wall President Trump plans to build along the southern border will pay for itself by curbing the importation of not only crime and drugs, but poverty.

“The wall could pay for itself even if it only modestly reduced illegal crossings and drug smuggling,” Steven A. Camarota, director of research at the Center for Immigration Studies, told The Post.

Federal data shows that a wall would work. A two-story corrugated metal fence in El Paso, Texas, first erected under the Bush administration has already curtailed illegal border crossings there by more than 89 percent over the five-year period during which it was built…

Sexual Assault Survivor Fired By Virginia Social Services For Having A Concealed Carry Permit – Daily Caller

A woman identifying as a Virginia social worker took to social media Friday evening to vent about being fired from her job for being a concealed carry permit holder.

Storm Durham, a former Department of Virginia Social Services employee who describes herself as a “22 year old blonde who is 5’2 and about 140 pounds who loves everything Disney, pink, and basic,” asserts that she was escorted out of her office by three Roanoke, Va., police officers after she was canned. She was, according to a post on Facebook, not even allowed to use the bathroom due to “serious safety concerns to the building.”

“I was fired today due to having a concealed carry permit,” Durham wrote on Facebook. “Was my gun on me? No. Has it ever been on me during my job, or visits, or anything related to work? No. When I told them that it has never been on me during work, what did they say? ‘How do we know that.’”

A massive airplane being built by Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen moved a step closer to flight last week, when it crept out of its hangar in Mojave, California and practiced rolling down the runway, hitting a top speed of 74 kph.

Known as Stratolaunch, the plane has a wingspan even greater than that of business mogul Howard Hughes’ famed Spruce Goose, and is designed to carry as many as three rockets, tethered to its belly, to about 35,000 feet. Once aloft, the rockets would drop, then fire their engines and deliver satellites to orbit.

NRA Files Lawsuit Saying Florida Gun Bill Approved By Governor Scott Violates 2nd Amendment – Fox News

The National Rifle Association reacted Friday with a federal lawsuit after Florida lawmakers approved gun legislation that would raise the age to buy guns. The group’s argument: that the proposed law violates the Second Amendment.

News of the lawsuit came just hours after Florida Gov. Rick Scott publicly went against allies in the NRA in signing a gun control bill that was drafted in response to the fatal school shooting in Parkland, Fla., on Feb. 14. Seventeen people were killed in that gun attack, attributed to a 19-year-old named Nikolas Cruz.

Chris Cox, executive director of the NRA’s Institute for Legislative Acton, has matainted that the bill “punished punishes law-abiding gun owners for the criminal acts of a deranged individual.”

The lawsuit is asking a federal judge to block the new age restriction from taking effect.

The bill signed by Governor Scott raises the minimum age to buy rifles from 18 to 21, extends a three-day waiting period for handgun purchases to include long guns and bans bump stocks…

President Donald Trump attacked his critics, promoted his steel and aluminum tariffs and tossed out an idea to have drug dealers face the death penalty, addressing a raucous rally on Saturday for a Republican congressional candidate in a tight race. Trump’s appearance was aimed at helping Republican Rick Saccone in a district Trump won overwhelmingly in 2016 as part of a narrow win in Pennsylvania.

But while he heartily endorsed Saccone as a “really good person,” Trump spent a lot of time talking about his own fortunes in a “Make America Great Again” rally in an airport hangar at the Pittsburgh International Airport.

He said it was crucial for Republicans to muster forces to turn back a strong Democratic drive to win one or both houses of the U.S. Congress in November midterm elections.

West Virginia Legislature Green Lights Work Requirements For Food Stamps – Breitbart

The West Virginia Senate passed legislation Friday that would require food stamp recipients in the state to work at least 20 hours a week to receive benefits.

The state Senate voted 27-6 to require West Virginia residents, ages 18-49 who are not disabled, pregnant, or military veterans and do not have dependent children, to work a minimum of 20 hours per week to receive food stamp benefits through the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP).

The bill already passed the West Virginia House in a 78-19 vote.

Forty-six of the 55 counties in West Virginia had waivers that would exempt them from having to comply with federal guidelines mandating that able-bodied adults without dependent children have to work or volunteer to receive benefits.

Federal law mandates that the work requirements be implemented nationwide, but it allows states to obtain waivers for individual counties if their 12-month average unemployment rate goes above 10 percent…

Senate Documents Show FBI Trying To Suppress Release Of New Trump Dossier Info – The Hill

Republican senators Charles Grassley (Iowa) and Lindsey Graham (S.C.) on Monday released a letter they sent to the FBI asking that ex-British spy Christopher Steele be investigated for possible criminal violations.

Steele authored the anti-Trump “dossier” that was full of false or unverified information, provided to the FBI and leaked to the press in 2016.

The FBI secretly used the Steele dossier to convince a Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court to permit one of the most sensitive invasions of privacy against a U.S. citizen: electronic surveillance by the government.

Top Obama and Trump officials signed four wiretap applications against Trump adviser Carter Page starting in fall of 2016 – a month before the presidential election – relying, in part, on the dossier. That’s according to House Republicans who, on Friday, released a summary of classified documents they reviewed…

“When we use these two agents together, we see the elimination of tumors all over the body,” senior author of the study, Dr. Ronald Levy told the Stanford Medicine News Center. “This approach bypasses the need to identify tumor-specific immune targets and doesn’t require wholesale activation of the immune system or customization of a patient’s immune cells.”…

Texas Judge Offers A Creative Excuse Before Feds Arrest Him In Undercover Sting Operation – Wastern Journalism

Federal authorities arrested a Texas state judge after he allegedly accepted more than $6,000 in bribes for favorable rulings, the Department of Justice announced Monday.

School Cancels ‘Hunchback Of Notre Dame’ Due To White Student Getting Lead Role – College Fix

A New York high school has canceled a production of “The Hunchback of Notre Dame” after a student activist group complained about a white student being cast in a lead role. The school now will be putting on an alternative production.

Members of Ithaca High School’s Students United Ithaca – all five of them (below, left) – got together and wrote up a letter and list of demands after the role of Esmeralda went to a Caucasian peer.

16 Bombshells In The Nunes Memo The Media Do Not Want You To Know About – John Nolte

In its partisan zeal to protect the ongoing witch hunt against President Trump, our Nixonian media went into hyper-drive last week to ensure that the unethical and un-American behavior of President Obama’s FBI and Justice Department remained covered up from the public.

After this cynical effort failed with the release of the Nunes memo Friday, the media quickly switched tactics and is now working feverishly to muddy the waters about the horror show revealed in the memo.

To begin with, it is obvious that a hysterical talking point about declaring the release of the memo a “Constitutional Crisis” has been spread far and wide. Naturally, the “constitutional crisis” in question is not the wrongdoing committed by federal law enforcement. Instead, because we are now deep within the head of the media’s fabricated reality where wrong is right and up is down, the “constitutional crisis” is that government wrongdoing was uncovered…

Two years after your chancellor decides to admit over 1 million undocumented middle-eastern immigrants to boost the economy and instead gets a series of terrorist attacks in return, this is the outcome: “Germans are taking up arms of angst.”

On The Same Day Trump Releases The Nunes Memo, A Federal Judge Keeps The Comey Memos Secret – Daily Caller
.

.
On the same day the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence released the Nunes memo showing the FBI relied on the salacious and unverified Trump dossier to obtain a surveillance warrant on Carter Page, a federal judge ruled to withhold the Comey memos. The memos, authored by former FBI Director James Comey, are about his nine private conversations with President-elect and President Trump.

U.S. District Judge James Boasberg, who ruled in favor of the FBI’s request to keep the Comey memos secret, also sits on the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court. The FISA court is the same court that approved the surveillance on Trump associates.

Boasberg refused to release the documents on the basis they were still being used by special counsel Robert Mueller…

Rush: Mueller Probing Wrong People ‘On Purpose’ – WorldNetDaily

The Nunes memo released Friday shows special counsel Robert Mueller is investigating the wrong people “on purpose,” contends talk-radio host Rush Limbaugh.

The declassified report by the Republican majority on the House Intelligence Committee confirms that Hillary Clinton’s campaign and the Democratic National Committee paid for a British spy to produce a salacious and discredited opposition report on Donald Trump that was submitted by the Justice Department to a top-secret surveillance court as evidence to obtain warrants to spy on a Trump campaign adviser.

“I was really worried that expectations for this memo had been raised so high that no matter what the contents people would react, ‘Is that it? Is that all?’ Folks, if anything, this memo was undersold. The revelations in this memo, even though the foundation of it we suspected and were very certain were true, the add-on items, the confirmation of the political corruption of the FBI at the upper levels and the DOJ, ditto, is inescapable,” Limbaugh said…

The Memo Reveals The Coup Against America – Daniel Greenfield
.

.
The Democrats and the media spent a week lying to the American people about the “memo.”

The memo was full of “classified information” and releasing” it would expose “our spying methods.” By “our,” they didn’t mean American spying methods. They meant Obama’s spying methods.

A former White House Ethics Lawyer claimed that the Nunes memo would undermine “national security.” On MSNBC, Senator Chris Van Hollen threatened that if the memo is released, the FBI and DOJ “will refuse to share information with the House and Senate Intelligence Committees.”

Senator Cory Booker howled that releasing the memo was “treasonous” and might be “revealing sources and methods” and even “endangering fellow Americans in the intelligence community.”…

Winning: Atlanta Fed Sees GDP Rocketing To 5.4% In First Quarter – Breitbart

The American economy is on track to grow at a 5.4 percent annualized rate in the first quarter of this year, the Atlanta Federal Reserve’s GDPNow forecast model showed on Monday.

The regional Fed’s forecast rose from last week’s 4.2 percent growth following a report on manufacturing that showed more expansion than expected.

The forecast of real consumer spending growth rose from 3.1 percent to 4.0 percent, while the forecast of investment growth soared from 5.2 percent to 9.2 percent.

This is an early reading, based on just one-months data. Even the most optimistic economists do not expect the economy to expand at that rate in the first quarter.

Both the Atlanta Fed’s GDPNow and the New York Fed’s Nowcast had readings for the fourth quarter of 2017 that were substantially higher than the official initial estimate, which came in at a 2.6 percent annual growth rate…

.
President Donald Trump has approved the release of a classified memo compiled by House Republicans on the intelligence committee, clearing the way for its release Friday, multiple outlets report.

House Intelligence Committee chairman Devin Nunes assembled the memo with fellow Intel committee members and staff based on classified information turned over by the FBI and the DOJ. The memo will be released with some technical redactions requested by the FBI…

‘Largest-Ever’ Security Breach Hits Aussie Government As Media Dumps Top-Secret Files – Zero Hedge

The Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) has obtained a treasure trove of top-secret and highly classified files, which it has dumped in a report titled: “The Cabinet files,” triggering the largest-ever breach of cabinet security in Australian history.

Top-secret documents relating to national security, immigration, welfare, communications and even controversial racial discrimination laws, which spans at least five administrations, somehow ended up at a second-hand shop in Canberra, Capital of Australia.

The ABC says the highly classified documents were locked in two large filing cabinets at a furniture clearinghouse store in Canberra without keys. An unidentifiable individual purchased the filing cabinets for a steep discount and then drilled out the locks to only discover thousands of files revealing the inner workings of government.

All files are classified, some as “top-secret” or “AUSTEO,” which means government eyes only. It is hard to comprehend the thought process here…
