Do you ever wonder how some people got their job?

I know I do, it seems that stupidity and incompetence are pre-requisites for certain jobs, especially jobs that should require a bit of brains. Apparently, these traits are also important if you are a Supreme Court Justice named Sonia Sotomayor as well. American Thinker’s Jason Lee looks at the justice’s shocking cluelessness

The liberal Supreme Court justices have demonstrated profound and shocking ignorance of the American health care system.  Here’s one of the most jarring examples:

“What percentage of the American people who took their son or daughter to an emergency room and that child was turned away because the parent didn’t have insurance,” asked Sotomayor, “… do you think there’s a large percentage of the American population that would stand for the death of that child — (who) had an allergic reaction and a simple shot would have saved the child?”

I have a precise answer for Justice Sonia Sotomayor.

The percentage of American people who took their son or daughter to an emergency room and were turned away because the parent didn’t have insurance is exactly zero.

No person, whether American or not, is ever turned away from an emergency room for lack of health insurance. Ever.

This simply does not happen.

Here’s why:

1.  It’s illegal.

Emergency Medical Treatment and Active Labor Act (EMTALA) is a U.S. Act of Congress passed in 1986 as part of the Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act (COBRA). It requires hospitals to provide care to anyone needing emergency healthcare treatment regardless of citizenship, legal status or ability to pay. There are no reimbursement provisions. Participating hospitals may only transfer or discharge patients needing emergency treatment under their own informed consent, after stabilization, or when their condition requires transfer to a hospital better equipped to administer the treatment.

Shouldn’t this woman be aware of the law? But,maybe of greater concern is that the question she posed has nothing, at all, to do with the constitutionality, of the Affordable Health Care Act.  It would seem that Sotomayor is willing to cast her decision based not on the Constitution, but on whether or not the bill in question might be “good”. Sorry, but that should not enter into a justices decision. Only one thing should, and in this case that one question is this. Does the Constitution grant Congress the authority to compel Americans to buy a certain product.

Why I Support Rick Perry « Blog Entry « Dr. Melissa Clouthier

Check out the video, and read the reasons Melissa endorses Perry

I want our president to know what it’s like to have skin in the game, to be in the military…to sacrifice. Rick Perry was a C-130 air force pilot who finished as Captain. Pilots need to make quick decisions in demanding situations..life and death decisions.

Governor Perry is solidly anti-abortion, pro-gun-rights, anti-job killing regulations, pro-capitalist, pro-America, pro-Israel, and for economic expansion. More than being for these things, his professional walk supports these things. He doesn’t just talk or evangelize (though he does both), his record supports these principles.

I believe that Governor Perry can bring the success that his administration facilitated in Texas to America. The Obama-Keynesian experiment has been an abject failure. What’s the alternative? A mushy Mitt Romneyesque big government Republicanism that expands the power of the government just at a slower rate? A rhetorical flourish from a businessman with no legislative experience?

Oh, hell no.

We need experience. We need principles. We need a very human and a very capable Rick Perry.

I guess some minorities are more equal than others!

Slublog catches the NY Tmes in some racial double standards where Sonia Sotomayor and Clarence Thomas are concerned. According to the Times Sotomayor is a great choice and a step towards greater diversity. Remember kids diversity, when approved of by the Left is good!

But, diversity, when it is not stamped with the Liberal Seal of Approval, well, is nothing but divisive!

See, minorities who are Liberal are GOOD! Minorities who are Conservative are BAD! The Liberal logic teaches that minorities are SUPPOSED to be Liberal! If not, then they are to be scorned!

Funny, to me, that whole business of trying to tie political ideology to skin color sounds kind of, well,  racist!

Video- All you really need to know about Sonia Sotomayor

Take a look  and say those two magic words the Left just loves to say when they are making love Judicial Activism!

I know this because, well, I dated a Liberal gal for a few months. And upon those magic moments she would scream “Judicial Activism” or ” Tax Increases” or maybe “Global Warming” but when she screamed “Al Gore”, I was out of there!

Anyway, enough about my conquests or failed realtionships, watch the video

Of course, Sotomayor is much more than just a judicial activist, she is also a racist! And by that, I mean she fully supports denying certain people of certain races things they have earned in order to give those things to people of “preferred” races. And to those who will gasp and say, I am being mean, and should be more like the Meghan McCain Republican, I say no. I am being brutally honest! And I would remind them all that, as, some Other, better McCain said the politics of niceness is overrated! So, again, I have always believed in calling out the Left and their often racist ideals and so does Rush!

YES! He is right! What would the Left say about a Conservative who DARED to question racial quotas? Yep! Racist! And the hack in the video that calls Rush a racist would be the first one screaming that they were racist!

Also take a look at what Sister Toldjah has to say about Sonia “Quota”mayor as well. She thinks the confirmation will be quick and easy, but I have my doubts. I think if the Reoublicans really dig their heels in and get the truth out about Sotomayor, we may derail her!
