Crazed Islamo-Nazi Attempts To Assassinate Philadelphia Police Officer (Video)

Philadelphia: Police Shooter Confesses To Attempted ‘Execution’ For Islam – Breitbart

.
…………….

.
A gunman ambushed 33-year old Philadelphia police officer Jesse Hartnett on Thursday night. His attacker is in custody and claims it was an attempted “execution” in the name of Islam.

CBS News in Philadelphia reports Hartnett was sitting in his patrol car at around 11:30 PM when the attacker fired 13 shots through the driver’s side window at point-blank range. The CBS report describes the shooter as walking toward the police car while he fired. Three of the shots struck Hartnett’s arm. His injuries do not appear to be life-threatening.

“Shots fired! I’m shot! I’m bleeding heavily!” Hartnett called out on police radio, as can be heard in the CBS report:
.

.
Hartnett was able to return fire, and hit the as-yet unnamed suspect three times. Other offices swiftly caught the wounded assailant while attempting to flee the scene, and he has made a full confession, according to CBS. The confession reportedly describes Islam as part of the motive for the attack.

Police also recovered his weapon. The New York Daily News identifies it as a 9mm handgun.

Commissioner Ross said there is video of the entire attack. “This is absolutely one of the scariest things I’ve ever seen,” he declared. “I mean, this guy tried to execute the police officer. The officer had no idea he was coming. It’s amazing he’s alive.”

The shooter is described as a male in his 30s. According to a news description of the surveillance video, he was wearing a “long white frock and black pants” as he approached the police cruiser with his gun drawn. The current condition of the shooter has not been disclosed at the time of this writing.

Ross said Hartnett suffered “significant damage” to his arm, including nerve damage, but is awake and coherent. According to the New York Daily News, he underwent surgery early Friday at Presbyterian Hospital and is expected to make a full recovery.

NJ.com cites Officer Hartnett’s social media profiles to describe him as a native of East Landsdowne, Pennsylvania, who attended Delaware County Community College, served in the U.S. Coast Guard for over a decade, and then became a four-year veteran of the police force.

CBS News reported late Friday morning that the FBI has become involved in the investigation.

Update, 11:05 AM EST: ABC News has published images of the attacker, from the surveillance video:

Update, 11:15 AM EST: Philly.com reports the shooter has been identified as Edward Archer, 30, of Yeadon.

Update, 1:15 PM: According to Commissioner Ross, the attacker pledged allegiance to the Islamic State.

Also, the gun used in the attack was reportedly stolen, which will be bad news for those who were frantically looking for a way to fold the incident into their gun-control narratives.

Update, 1:45 PM: Philly.com has some more details about Edward Archer, courtesy of his mother:
.

Reached at her home in Lansdowne, his mother, Valerie Holliday, said Archer was the eldest of seven children and suffered head injuries from playing football and a moped accident.

“He’s been acting kind of strange lately. He’s been talking to himself… laughing and mumbling,” Holliday said. “He’s been hearing voices in his head. We asked him to get medical help.”

She said her son is devout Muslim who has practiced the faith “for a long time.”

“He’s going through a lot lately,” Holliday said, adding Archer believed he was targeted by police.

.
There are some good reasons the police might have “targeted” Edward:
.

Archer was scheduled to be sentenced Monday in a Delaware County case, according to court records. He was found guilty in a November nonjury trial of forging documents, careless driving, driving with a suspended or revoked license and other related offenses.

In Philadelphia, he was sentenced in March to nine to 23 months in jail and two years probation in an assault case. He was charged with aggravated assault, conspiracy, firearms offenses and terroristic threats for a January 2012 incident but pleaded guilty to simple assault.

.
Here’s a thought: maybe we should put more effort into enforcing existing laws, rather than passing a boatload of new ones. Of course, the existing laws involve difficult duties such as catching and imprisoning violent criminals, and protecting the nation from terrorist threats – both of which are pursuits that often infuriate the cult of political correctness.

It’s much easier to pass new laws that either do nothing of substance, or involve pushing around decent law-abiding taxpayers. Telling a rape victim she shouldn’t have a gun to defend herself is far easier than keeping someone imprisoned for assault.

Philly.com also tells us a bit more about the wounded Officer Jesse Hartnett, hailed as a “true hero” by fellow officers. He actually got out of his car and pursued the suspect on foot, after getting sprayed with 13 bullets and taking three hits in the arm. His father Robert described Hartnett as “a very quality young man.” On that, I think we can all agree.

HPD Officer Wounds Teen Suspect After Attempted Ambush In Montrose Area – KHOU

.
…………….

.
A group of suspects targeted the wrong person to ambush after one of them was shot by a Houston police officer they were following on the way home late Thursday.

According to the Houston Police Department, it started at 11:30 p.m. when the 34-year veteran officer was heading home in his personal vehicle from a second job and noticed he was being followed as he drove down Woodhead Street in the Montrose area.

The officer turned onto Indiana Street to see if the car would keep going, but it didn’t. The suspect vehicle stopped and one male got out with a gun in hand. The suspect started toward the officer, who happened to still be in uniform.

The officer got out of his car and repeatedly identified himself as a police officer and ordered the suspect to stop. The suspect ignored the command and pointed his gun at the officer.

“At that point in time, a rear passenger got out and began running toward the sergeant as he went under street light he had arm extended and was shooting pistol directly at the sergeant,” Kese Smith, with HPD, said.

The 15-year-old suspect was shot in the buttocks.

The suspect ran back to the car where three other suspects were waiting, and the car fled the scene.

About 10 minutes later, HPD got a call about a wounded male on the ground at Cushing and Webster. HPD responded and spotted the suspect vehicle that was part of the officer-involved shooting and was able to take three suspects, ages 16, 17 and 18, into custody.

The fourth suspect was taken to a local hospital in serious condition.

The HPD sergeant says he was just doing his job and glad this didn’t happen to one of his neighbors.

People in this neighborhood say he is a hero who has gone above and beyond to protect this community, and they feel his actions send a strong message to criminals to not come back.

“He is the type that would stand up and turn the tables on everything,” one concerned neighbor said.

“Hopefully this will keep a few people out that shouldn’t be here,” Mindy Billon, neighbor, said.

Neighbors say this area of Montrose has recently seen a surge break-ins and people being followed home at random.

They say the sergeant who stood up for himself has been standing up for this neighborhood for years.

“He is not just a neighborhood, he has personally taken control of the neighborhood,” a concerned neighbor said. “On many occasions when he has come home at night he has helped us by stopping car break-ins, house break-ins.”

The suspect who was shot in the buttocks is being treated at the hospital, but is expected to be OK.

The three others have been booked into jail police say they’re still not sure if these would-be-robbers wanted to rob the sergeant, steal his car or both.

British University ‘Welfare And Diversity Officer’ Charged With Urging People To Kill White Men

Goldsmiths University “Welfare And Diversity Officer” Bahar Mustafa Brought Up On Charges For Urging People To Kill White Men – Moonbattery

.
…………….

.
Looks like the laws leftists have imposed in Britain forbidding free speech can cut both ways:
.

A student diversity officer who was caught up in a racism row after allegedly posting ‘kill all white men’ on social media has been summonsed to court to face malicious communications charges.

Bahar Mustafa, 28, of Edmonton, North London, a welfare and diversity officer at Goldsmiths University, will appear at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on 5 November, police said.

.
In the ultra-left university environment, not many have a problem with Bahar:
.

A student petition calling for her to be removed from her position garnered only 165 signatures, and she was allowed by the student union to keep her job, because it failed to meet the 3% threshold to trigger a referendum that could have dislodged her.

.
To call her a racist or a sexist because she wants white men to be killed would reveal ignorance of the deranged mishmash of corrosive lies that comprises the liberal ruling class’s official ideology:
.

Ms Mustafa explained that she could not be guilty of sexism or racism against white men “because racism and sexism describe structures of privilege based on race and gender and therefore women of colour and minority genders cannot be racist or sexist, since we do not stand to benefit from such a system.”

.
However, such a system only exists in the delusions of progressives. After all, no one gets a university position by denouncing women and nonwhites. BTW, men are the minority gender, so when do I get my minority privilege?

A 16-year-old illegal immigrant was arrested Saturday (August 1) after he allegedly set fire to a Precinct 4 deputy constable’s patrol car at the Precinct 4 building in Manvel.

While on scene, Deputies saw a maroon Ford F150 four-door truck pull into the parking lot and they reportedly noticed that the suspect was acting suspicious.

The teenager then allegedly pointed a .22 caliber rifle from his car window as a deputy was approaching. The deputy pulled his weapon and retreated to his patrol vehicle. The suspect fled the scene and a pursuit began.

The pursuit lasted about 35 minutes, leaving Brazoria County, going into Ft. Bend County, and back to Brazoria County, where it ended at FM 518 and Kingsley Dr. in Pearland.

During the pursuit, the suspect swerved at two motorcycle officers who were escorting a funeral. One officer’s motorcycle was struck, but no officers were injured.

The suspect lost control of his vehicle and again pulled the rifle on the deputies. Deputies were able to take the suspect into custody without firing any weapons.

The chase ended in a one-vehicle crash on FM 518 at Kingsley Dr. in Pearland, where the suspect was taken into custody.

According to Brazoria County Sheriff’s Office Investigator Paige Newsom, the suspect said that he was tired of his people getting shot by police and nothing happening, so he came to shoot them.

He also reportedly said that the incident was about a war against the government because Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) is always sending Mexicans back to Mexico for no reason, and they are the ones here in America doing all the work.

The suspect was charged with Aggravated Assault on a Public Service with a deadly weapon, Possession of a controlled substance, Evading arrest with a vehicle, and Arson, which are all felonies.

The suspect’s name has not been released due to his minor status.

48 hours After Obama Vows To “Defend Estonia,” Russian Goons Kidnap Estonian Security Service Officer

Russia’s Putin One-Ups Obama In Estonia – Investors Business Daily

.

.
Less than 48 hours after President Obama vowed to “defend Estonia,” Russian goons kidnapped an Estonian cop to demonstrate just what U.S. red lines are worth. Any questions as to the nature of the threat?

The abduction of Internal Security Service officer Eston Kohver from Estonia was no ordinary criminal act.

The Russians who took him jammed police radios, tossed a smoke grenade, seized Kohver and marched him into Russia at gunpoint. They then falsely claimed that he was caught spying on Russian soil.

It was nonsense. Estonia’s leaders have said it was clearly a targeted attack and very serious, coming as it did two days after Obama made his strongest-worded speech ever on U.S. commitment to the NATO alliance.

“The defense of Tallinn and Riga and Vilnius is just as important as the defense of Berlin and Paris and London,” Obama said. “Article Five is crystal clear. An attack on one is an attack on all.

“So if, in such a moment, you ever ask again, who will come to help, you’ll know the answer: the NATO alliance, including the armed forces of the United States of America, right here, present, now.”

Well, it’s into the “right here, present, now” that Vladimir Putin has stuck his face.

His swift effort to nullify Obama’s words is no different from his immediate neutralization of Obama’s red line in Syria, a chess move that left Putin the dominant player in that country.

With this latest provocation, on the heels of his invasion of Ukraine, as well as new airspace incursions over the Baltics and even Finland, Putin has again made the promises of the leader of the Free World sound hollow.

The message here is that Russia can do whatever it likes in the region that it considers its near abroad, and no NATO alliance is going to be effective in stopping it.

The Kohver abduction will have a terrible effect on Eastern Europe, which has just seen a bullied Ukraine sign a “peace” treaty with Russia. Ukraine had no choice, since the U.S. and EU failed to do much to help it defend itself.

Putin picked on Estonia because it had the gall to host an American president and to forge an alliance with NATO. No doubt, he wants to see if NATO is a real mutual defense alliance – or a paper tiger.

Woman Arrested After Refusing To Be Sexually Assaulted By Court Officer In Front Of Her Children (Video)

Video: Court Marshal Allegedly Sexually Assaults Woman, Then Has Her Arrested For Objecting – Hot Air

Why is a local story that’s three months old suddenly exploding online this week? I saw half a dozen people tweet this clip earlier this morning, all with the same expressions of horror and outrage, even though it was first reported in early March. I’d never seen it before myself. My half-assed theory on why it’s catching on belatedly is that someone rediscovered it last week during NSA-palooza and saw it as some kind of metaphor for the futility of protesting state abuse of the power to invade your privacy. The analogy’s not perfect – the marshal here was reportedly fired, although the fate of “multiple employees and managers” who were also under investigation remains, as far as I know, unclear – but the past two weeks have been a “libertarian moment” and this clip is very, very libertarian-friendly. Even Lindsey Graham would think twice about state power after watching it. For a moment. Reluctantly.

Exit quotation from the KLAS report that broke this story: “The I-Teams investigation shows how the internal affairs investigation is revealing much larger problems at family court. There are multiple marshals involved and allegations ranging from sexual assaults to choking a citizen in court.”

Putin On NSA Leak: Government Surveillance Shouldn’t Break Law – RT

.

Data surveillance is an acceptable measure if done within the law, Russia’s President Vladimir Putin told RT while visiting the channel in the capital.

“Such methods are in demand. But you can’t just listen to the phone call in Russia; you need a special order from court. This is how this should be done in civilized society while tackling terrorism with the use of any technical means. If it is in the framework of the law, then it’s ok. If not it is unacceptable,” Putin said answering the question of RT’s Editor-in-Chief Margarita Simonyan. Commenting on Obama’s statement that “You can’t have 100 per cent security and 100 per cent privacy,” Putin disagreed, saying it is possible if done within the law.

Russia said it could consider the possibility of granting political asylum to 29-year-old Edward Snowden, if such request is made. The ex-CIA worker disclosed the existence of PRISM, the National Security Agency’s (NSA) massive data-mining surveillance program, to The Guardian.

“If we receive such a request, we will consider it,” President Vladimir Putin’s press secretary Dmitry Peskov said.

The whereabouts of whistleblower remain unknown after he checked out of a Hong Kong hotel. A day earlier Snowden revealed his identity to The Guardian newspaper.
