Time for a complete rebrand at CNN?

Maybe, considering the growing list of perverts they seem to have had, on payroll. Consider, of course Jeffrey “Lubin and Zoomin” Toobin, the whole Chris Cuomo saga, and the Don Lemon sexual assault allegations and lawsuit and now from the Other McCain…….THIS!

Only right-wing extremists believe this could be real:

veteran CNN producer who worked “shoulder to shoulder” with now disgraced ex-anchor Chris Cuomo has been indicted on charges of luring young girls to his Vermont ski house for “sexual subservience” training.
John Griffin, of Stamford, CT, allegedly used messaging apps to befriend and persuade moms of young girls, telling them “a woman is a woman regardless of her age,” and that he should be the one to “train” their daughters sexually, according to the indictment from the US Attorney of Vermont.
Griffin, 44, allegedly got at least one mom of two daughters to bring the girl to his Ludlow ski getaway, in June 2020.
It was the mom’s responsibility to see that her older daughter, just 13, was “trained properly,” Griffin told her, according to the indictment.
Griffin, a father himself, sent the woman $3,000 for plane tickets so they could fly from Nevada to Boston’s Logan Airport, where he picked them up in his Tesla for the ride to Ludlow, according to court papers.
It was there that “the daughter was directed to engage in, and did engage in, unlawful sexual activity,” authorities alleged.

Griffin attempted to entice two other children over the internet into sexual activity, according to the indictment, which said he favored apps like Kik and Google Hangout for the alleged misdeeds. In April 2020, Griffin allegedly suggested a “virtual training session” over a video chat, that would include him instructing a mother and her 14-year-old daughter to remove their clothing and touch each other.
In June 2020, Griffin told another mom of a 16-year-old girl that she take a “little mother-daughter trip” to Griffin’s Ludlow ski house for sexual training involving the child, according to the indictment.

If true, this is an evil man, and the mother of this child is equally evil. If he is convicted he faces a minimum of 10 years in prison. He could get more time as well, all the way to life. I must interject here that 10 years for such abuse of innocent children would be a travesty. He should, again, IF guilty, never exit prison alive. But, getting away from the proper punishment of violent felons, I must pose the obvious question to CNN. WTF CNN? What the Actual Fu#*? That is a LOT of pervs working for one network. So, maybe, maybe CNN should “transition” to a new identity How about to The Perverted Communist Propaganda Network? That is a far more accurate description if you ask me.

Ignorant Leftist Media Update: Ben Carson Was Right About Jefferson And The Constitution

Jefferson’s Constitution: Ben Carson Got It 100% Right… DC Media Got It 100% Wrong – Big Journalism

.

.
Anyone at all familiar with Thomas Jefferson is well aware of our third president’s vital influence on the crafting of the American Constitution. While Jefferson is primarily known as the chief author of the Declaration of Independence and James Madison is primarily known as the early architect of what would become our Constitution and the prime mover behind the Bill of Rights, the two men were close friends, lived not very far apart in Virginia, and kept regular correspondence.

Jefferson and Madison were of like political minds, and during the Constitutional Convention, while Jefferson was across an ocean as U.S. Minister to France, the two men enjoyed an intense and productive correspondence about what the U.S. Constitution should look like.

My media hero of the week (more on this below), USA Today editor David Mastio, accurately sums up the rest of the story:
.

After the Constitution Convention was over, Jefferson had this other idea called a “Bill of Rights,” which you might have heard is a part of the Constitution. Jefferson sorta played a key role in all that First Amendment, Second Amendment stuff. If you don’t believe me, go ask the American Civil Liberties Union, which is big on rights like free speech and freedom of religion.

Saith the ACLU: “The American Bill of Rights, inspired by Jefferson and drafted by James Madison, was adopted, and in 1791 the Constitution’s first 10 amendments became the law of the land.”

The ACLU even quotes Jefferson’s argument: “A bill of rights is what the people are entitled to against every government on earth, general or particular, and what no just government should refuse.”

To get the basics of Jefferson’s role in the creation of the Bill of Rights, which are, as I mentioned, a pretty important part of the Constitution, all you have to do is read the Spark Notes version. Or you can get it in easy Q&A format from the U.S. Archives.

.
Not to take anything away from Mr. Mastio, who did a righteous thing defending Ben Carson, but none of this is a secret, or hidden history. It’s not even deep-dive history. Anyone who has picked up a biography of Jefferson or Madison is well aware of this.

Apparently, the following news outlets – CNN, Politico, and the Washington Post – have not picked up that biography, or they are intentionally smearing Republican presidential candidate Ben Carson… again.

During a Monday appearance on C-Span, Carson said, quite correctly, that he admired Jefferson primarily for his role in helping to craft the Constitution:
.

But I’m particularly impressed with Thomas Jefferson, who seemed to have very deep insight into the way that people would react and tried to craft our Constitution in a way that it would control people’s national tendencies and control the natural growth of the government.

.
The reaction from the DC Media on Twitter was not just instantaneously ignorant, it was fantastically ignorant. Within moments my Twitter stream was buried in smug reporters laughing and dehumanizing the black apostate conservative who doesn’t – har, har – know the difference between the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution.

Except, as Mr. Mastio points out, they are all wrong.

One-hundred percent wrong.

Rather than crack open a book or use that Google-thingy right in front of them, Politico, The Washington Post, and CNN actually went so far as to publish stories claiming Carson got it wrong.

Worse still, but to no one’s surprise, all three outlets have refused to properly correct their provable errors.

Politico’s Nolan McCaskill:
.

Carson says, wrongly, that Thomas Jefferson crafted the Constitution…

The problem: Jefferson crafted the Declaration of Independence, not the Constitution. In fact, Carson noted Jefferson’s absence in his book, “A More Perfect Union,” writing that he was “missing in action” during the birth of the Constitution as he served abroad as ambassador to France.

.
I’ve reached out to McCaskill to ask if he is going to correct his post. As of now, he has not responded. This is the same Politico that admitted to lying (only after being caught) about Carson’s West Point story.

CNN’s Gregory Krieg:
.

Carson flubs Thomas Jefferson’s role in the Constitution…

But as the Washington Post noted Monday morning, Jefferson was a no-show at the Constitutional Convention and was instead an ocean away in Paris as Minister to France, while his North American-based colleagues were crafting the foundational document.

.
I’ve reached out to Krieg to ask if he intends to correct his story. As of now, he has not yet responded. This is the same CNN that published racially-motivated serial lies about key elements in Carson’s biography.

Via Twitter, Mastio tells me CNN did update the piece. Nevertheless, the incorrect headline remains.

Washington Post’s Fred Barbash:
.

Ben Carson, author of book about the Constitution, incorrectly states that Thomas Jefferson crafted it…

That did not stop Carson from praising Jefferson in a C-Span interview Sunday as one of the most impressive of the Founding Fathers because he “tried to craft our Constitution in a way that it would control peoples’ natural tendencies and control the natural growth of the government.”

.
I’ve reached out to Barbask to ask if he intends to correct his story. As of now, he has not responded. This is the same Washington Post that lied about Carson comparing Syrian refugees to rabid dogs.

When the entire media has risen up and proclaimed that This Is The Narrative, it cannot be easy for one of their own to say, “Actually, uhm, you’re 100% wrong.” The USA Today’s David Mastio deserves enormous credit for publishing the truth and doing so using the mockery deserved.

No, Ben Carson Didn’t Lie About West Point; It’s Another Media Hit Job – Ben Shapiro

.

.
Never underestimate the capacity of the media to propagandize against Republicans.

That’s the theme of this morning’s overwrought news coverage on Dr. Ben Carson’s supposed “lie” regarding a “scholarship” to West Point. The story began with Politico, which ran with the audacious headline, “Ben Carson admits fabricating West Point scholarship.” Even I was taken in by the headline – after all, that’s a pretty bold claim!

Politico began thusly:
.

Ben Carson’s campaign on Friday admitted, in a response to an inquiry from POLITICO, that a central point in his inspirational personal story was fabricated: his application and acceptance into the U.S. Military Academy at West Point.

.
The key word here is “fabricated.” Did the Carson campaign admit any such thing? Absolutely not. The facts reported by Politico don’t even support this interpretation of the Carson campaign’s response. According to Politico, Carson said in his 1992 memoir Gifted Hands that he was offered a “full scholarship” to West Point after dining with General William Westmoreland in 1969. Here’s the relevant passage from Carson’s autobiography:
.

At the end of my twelfth grade I marched at the head of the Memorial Day parade. I felt so proud, my chest bursting with ribbons and braids of every kind. To make it more wonderful, We had important visitors that day. Two soldiers who had won the Congressional Medal of Honor in Viet Nam were present. More exciting to me, General William Westmoreland (very prominent in the Viet Nam war) attended with an impressive entourage. Afterward, Sgt. Hunt introduced me to General Westmoreland, and I had dinner with him and the Congressional Medal winners. Later I was offered a full scholarship to West Point. I didn’t refuse the scholarship outright, but I let them know that a military career wasn’t where I saw myself going.

.
That’s the entire relevant portion of Carson’s account. He reiterated that account last month in an interview with Charlie Rose, when he said, “I was offered a full scholarship at West Point, got to meet General Westmoreland and go to Congressional Medal of Honor dinners. But decided really my pathway would be medicine.”

Politico followed up on this story. They reported one additional pieces of information that seem to conflict with Carson’s story: Carson never applied to West Point, and was never extended admission.

But Carson never said he applied. He said he was extended a full scholarship offer. What’s more, West Point doesn’t offer scholarships: all admission is free contingent on serving in the military afterwards. It thus seems probable that Westmoreland or another military figure tried to recruit Carson, telling him that he wouldn’t have to pay for his education – and that Carson read that as a “full scholarship,” and never applied.

In fact, that’s exactly what Carson’s campaign manager said to Politico in an email:
.

Dr. Carson was the top ROTC student in the City of Detroit. In that role he was invited to meet General Westmoreland. He believes it was at a banquet. He can’t remember with specificity their brief conversation but it centered around Dr. Carson’s performance as ROTC City Executive Officer. He was introduced to folks from West Point by his ROTC Supervisors. They told him they could help him get an appointment based on his grades and performance in ROTC. He considered it but in the end did not seek admission.

.
But here’s how Politico editorialized: “When presented with this evidence, Carson’s campaign conceded the story was false.”

That’s nonsense. They did no such thing. They provided details that corroborated Carson’s story and explained his loose use of the language. If someone told you that you could go to college for free, you might reasonably conclude that you had been offered a full scholarship to attend that university. But Politico would call you a liar if you used such language to describe the exchange.

Now, some on the right are saying that Carson should be held to a higher standard here than other candidates because he’s running as an “outsider.” But this is a basic case of misinterpreting facts, not an outright lie. Carson served in ROTC. Prominent people wanted him to go to West Point. He wouldn’t have had to pay. He didn’t apply because he didn’t want to go. Those facts are not in dispute. It’s the specific wording over which media have decided to crucify him.

This is a textbook example of a left-wing media hit. Politico would never editorialize about any Democrat who issued such a response to a factual inquiry in this manner. Politico won’t even conclude that Hillary Clinton lied about her attribution of the Benghazi attacks to a YouTube video despite email evidence that she knew Benghazi was a terrorist attack entirely unrelated to a YouTube video.

But for Ben Carson, they’ll make an exception.

Vile.

UPDATE: Dave Weigel of The Washington Post rightly points out this from Carson’s Facebook page circa August:
.

I was the highest student ROTC member in Detroit and was thrilled to get an offer from West Point. But I knew medicine is what I wanted to do. So I applied to only one school. (it was all the money I had). I applied to Yale and thank God they accepted me. I often wonder what might have happened had they said no.

.
Weigel also points out that Carson said as much in his book – the same book Politico quoted to pretend that Carson lied.

So Politico lied again – Carson never even claimed to have applied to West Point.

The Carson campaign has denied the Politico headline, of course, because the headline is factually untrue. They told The Daily Caller, “The Politico story is an outright Lie… The campaign never ‘admitted to anything.’ This is what we have come to expect from Politico.”

Team Carson: ‘Politico Story Is An Outright Lie’ – Daily Caller

“The campaign never ‘admitted to anything,’” a spokesman for Republican presidential candidate Ben Carson told The Daily Caller News Foundation in response to a hit by Politico claiming his campaign admitted to “fabricating” a key point about his West Point story.

“The Politico story is an outright Lie,” Doug Watts told TheDCNF.

Politico published a piece Friday claiming Carson’s campaign “admits fabricating” the fact that he applied and was admitted to West Point.

“Ben Carson’s campaign on Friday admitted, in a response to an inquiry from POLITICO, that a central point in his inspirational personal story was fabricated: his application and acceptance into the U.S. Military Academy at West Point,” Kyle Cheney writes in the lede.

The Carson campaign disputes Politico’s unsubstantiated claim he ever claimed to have applied to West Point or been admitted: “He never said he was admitted or even applied.”

“This is what we have come to expect from Politico.”

Here is the full statement Watts provided to TheDCNF:

“Dr Carson was the top ROTC student in the City of Detroit.

There are “Service Connected” nominations for stellar High School ROTC appointments. Again he was the top ROTC student in Detroit. I would argue strongly that an Appointment is indeed an amazing full scholarship. Having ran several Congressional Offices I am very familiar with the Nomination process.

Again though his Senior Commander was in touch with West Point and told Dr. Carson he could get in, Dr Carson did not seek admission.

The Politico story is an outright Lie. Dr. Carson as the leading ROTC student in Detroit was told by his Commanders that he could get an Appointment to the Academy. He never said he was admitted or even applied.

The campaign never “admitted to anything”

This is what we have come to expect from Politico.”

Politico reporter Kyle Cheney, who has the byline on the Carson story, did not immediately respond to multiple requests for comment.

WGN Apologizes For “Inadvertently” Using Offensive Nazi Symbol – Hollywood Reporter

Local Chicago news station WGN used a symbol of Nazi persecution as the graphic accompanying their Yom Kippur story on Tuesday night.

The WGN anchor was recognizing the Jewish high holy day of Yom Kippur, a day where Jews fast and atone for their sins. However, viewers were aghast at the picture that was used for the story, the yellow Star of David badge that Jews were forced to wear during the Holocaust.

“Holy crap, @WGNNews, this is your stock photo for a Jewish holiday?? Nobody thought that’s a bad choice of photo?,” said Twitter user Marc Karlinsky.

WGN apologized, saying, they are “extremely embarrassed” they “failed to recognize” the Holocaust symbol.

“Last night we ran a story to recognize Yom Kippur, the Jewish Day of Atonement,” reads an apology on their website. “The artwork chosen to accompany the story came from a graphics image bank. Regrettably, we failed to recognize that the image was an offensive Nazi symbol. We are extremely embarrassed and we deeply apologize to our viewers and to the Jewish community for this mistake. Ignorance is not an excuse. Please know we are reviewing our in house policies and changes have already been made to make sure a hurtful oversight like this never happens again. Huge Media Cover-Up Of Child Sexual Abuse Charges Against Homosexual Obama Bundler

Huge Media Cover-Up Of Criminal Charges Against Obama Bundler, Gay Leader – Newsbusters

[The following is taken from a Tuesday press release by the Catholic League.]

.

.
Last November, Terrence Bean was taken into custody in Portland, Oregon following an indictment by a jury that charged him with multiple sex crimes against minors. Now additional child sexual abuse charges have been made against him. Why isn’t the media covering this? Because he’s a prominent gay leader, that’s why.

Bean is the co-founder of the Human Rights Campaign (HRC), the most influential gay group in the nation; he is also a big donor to President Obama and even flew on Air Force One with him. The Associated Press (AP) chose not to cover the latest allegations, but not because it has no interest in new charges against alleged sex offenders: it does if the accused is a priest.

On June 28, AP reported on new charges against James Rupp, a former Michigan priest who was accused of sexually assaulting boys decades ago. On April 8, AP reported on new charges against Rev. Joseph Maurizio Jr., a Pennsylvania priest accused of molesting boys in Honduras. But there was no AP story on the latest charges against Bean. The AP bias is even worse than this.

On July 7, the day before Bean was hit with new charges, his lawyers filed a motion to have the multiple sex charges against him dismissed. Guess who covered that? AP, of course. The cover-up doesn’t end there.

HRC has no listing of Bean on its website, and it even lies about his role in founding the organization: it lists Steve Endean as the founder, when, in fact, he was a co-founder with Bean. That’s not an error – it’s disinformation. And by the way, guess what happened to Endean? He died of AIDS in 1993, having contracted the disease in 1985.

We are registering a complaint with AP. As for HRC, it’s not worth our time. But we will be sure to let them know that we’re on to them.

McKinney, Texas Pool Mob – What The MSM Isn’t Telling You

The Full Story Of The McKinney, Texas Pool Mob – Conservative Treehouse

The Origin – The woman who organized the event in McKinney, Texas is named Tatiana Rhodes (or Tatyana Rhodes). She is approximately 19-years-old; however, she retains a fake id and has began scrubbing most of her social media accounts, so her exact age is undetermined. Update: confirmed profile DOB 04/02/1995, so Tatiana Rhodes is 20.

Tatiana had been promoting a party via twitter under the hashtag name “Dime Piece Cookout” for approximately a month. She planned the event at a sub-division called “Craig Ranch” in McKinney Texas.

Tatiana (pictured below left) lives in the sub-division with her mother Lashana Burkes (pictured right). Both appear to be natives of Chicago.

.

.

.
The Craig Ranch subdivision has a neighborhood park and a gated pool and clubhouse for residents. The pool and clubhouse is gated and a scan card is needed to gain access. (You can explore via google earth here)

The subdivision has a Homeowners Association (HOA) which regulates and controls the activities in/around the HOA swimming pool and clubhouse and has strict rules for use thereof.

.

.
In addition to HOA rules the local community has a resident magazine which provides information to Craig Ranch residents on events and reminders of activities. One of the recent articles covered the use of the recreational facilities to include the pool and clubhouse:

.

.
Neither Tatiana Rhodes nor her mother sought permission to use the pool or clubhouse area as part of the event. However, Tatiana hired a DJ and promoted the event to include a pool party:

There are numerous social media links reflecting that Tatiana organizes these “parties”, and charges for attendance, as a profit generating business. Her enterprise name is promoted under the auspices of “Twinzzpromotions” and uses the email address twinnzzpromotions@gmail.com:

.

.

.
…………

.
However, the specific event last Friday was advertised as “free attendance” where Tatiana was passing out flyers and selling tickets for another event she was setting up for June 19.

Tatiana appears to reference herself as a “promoter” for the various parties she organizes as part of twinzzpromotions:

Her business profile says:

“want to throw a party but don’t know where to start – we do it all. Email us for models, promoters, party planners and more”.

The party on Friday was to promote “Make It Clap 2″, an event scheduled for June 19th (8pm to 1am) $5 advance Tix, $8 at event.

Tickets for MakeItClappPt.2 were being sold at the Craig Ranch party. Here’s the flyer for the June 19th event that was being promoted and handed out on Friday – link here:

.

.
The DJ (Andrew Cosby) also tweeted out before and during the Craig Ranch event that it was a pool party. DJReign aka Andrew Cosby is also now scrubbing media and hiding his profiles.

.
…………

.

.

.
Pictured above, Tatiana and her mother Lashana Burkes setting up for the party, while tweeting out #dpcookout so far so good.

In addition to friends of Tatiana Rhodes, more than 100 additional people, mostly teens, showed up as a result of the advertising promoted by Tatiana on social media. They were dropped off by the car-load as the afternoon party began.

Apparently Tatiana and her mother Lashana were unable to control the growing crowd – who came to their event at the park looking for and expecting a “pool party”.

That’s when things got out of control as the 100+ teens (and young adults) turned into a mob of partygoers and began jumping the fence to the gated pool area. Residents within the neighborhood found themselves confronting a mob of teens growing ever increasingly hostile and agitated.

A local resident shares this version of events:

.
…………

.
…………

.
This version is also supported by other residents who called the police for help and were on the scene trying to get the teen mob under control.

.

.

.
The sub-division is culturally very diverse with multi-racial residents. All of the local community – within the rather large sub division – support the version of events as outlined above.

One of the adult residents of the sub-division sought to get control of the situation and told the teen mob they needed to leave the pool area.

A teen friend of the event organizer (friends wth Tatiana’s brother) is named, ironically, “Grace”, Grace Stone – approximately 14-years-old.

.

.
Young Grace Stone became angry because the mob was being told to leave the pool and clubhouse area; Grace was then backed up by her friend Tatiana (party organizer) in a confrontation with an adult resident at the pool. Tatiana then attacked the adult female resident as shown in this video:

.

.
Which led to numerous phone calls to the police as the teen mob became ever more confrontational with a security officer and local residents. The mob refused to leave the area. The police arrived.

With hundreds of teens ransacking the area, the first officer on scene immediately called for back-up. Nine additional officers arrived to try and restore order.

The video below is what has driven the media frenzy, however it is approximately 23 minutes after the initial fight with Tatiana and the adult resident took place.

McKinney Police & Residents Targeted With Death Threats & Bounties After Pool Party Riot – Gateway Pundit

Bipartisan Report
@Bipartisanism

We will pay $200 for the confirmable name of this man. Help us out Twitter. #McKinney

11:46 PM – 7 Jun 2015
=============================================

The Twitter account Bipartisan Report@Bipartisanism posted a bounty Sunday night seeking the identity of a man seen in the McKinney, Texas pool party incident last Friday.

Police and residents in McKinney, Texas are the subjects of death threats, bounties and doxxing over the handling by police of a pool party last Friday that has provoked nationwide controversy since a YouTube video of the incident went viral. The video showed a white police officer using force on a fifteen year-old Black girl who was resisting being detained. The officer was also seen pulling a gun on two young Black men who were menacing the officer as he tried to detain the girl.

.

.
An unidentified white female resident of the Craig Ranch community where the pool party was held told CNN on Monday that residents who support the police were receiving death threats, according to reporter Nick Valencia:

“One resident I spoke to said that she was a witness from start to finish, even before that cell phone camera started rolling. She says she wants the truth out there, but she also says that she’s concerned about her safety. She wasn’t willing to go on camera because she says residents here, who are siding with police, have received death threats.

“UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: I want everyone to know that that police officer, along with everyone else, they were completely in the right and protecting everyone. He was not out of line. I completely support him drawing his weapon or a Taser or whatever it was that he did pull because he was being attacked from behind. I believe that if your life is threatened, that you have every right to pull a gun. He probably didn’t intend on using it.

“[14:20:03] I’m – I feel horrible for McKinney P.D. and the backlash that they’re getting for this. They are here to protect and serve and they were doing their jobs. I think he deserves a medal for what he did. I really do. I don’t believe he was out of line one bit. Those kids were taunting them and cursing them out, have no respect for authority. And as soon as their parents got here, they didn’t even care one bit about how they were treating the officers and why they got into that situation.”

McKinney police have beefed up security in response to death threats, reported WFAA-TV:

“Marked and unmarked police cars patrolled outside the suburban police station after officers received death threats and became increasingly concerned about backlash from a viral video.”

There have been unsubstantiated claims of retaliatory vandalism in Craig’s Ranch since Friday, however KDFW-TV reported McKinney police have receive no complaints:

“There have been comments on Facebook from the Craig Ranch community about acts of vandalism the day after the pool party incident. However, police say they have no documentation of any reports of vandalism, so either it didn’t happen or it wasn’t reported to police.”

Anonymous has gotten into the act seeking to dox people in McKinney. They picked up the $200 bounty for information on a white man seen in the Brandon Brooks video standing near the police officer as he tries to detain the fifteen year-old girl, trying to keep other teens away. A man who was photographed holding a pro-police sign in McKinney was doxxed as allegedly charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon back in 1999.

Anonymous also noted the officer involved in the incident, Cpl. Eric Casebolt, has deleted his social media accounts.

The ad comes from a new group called the American Security Initiative (ASI), which is led by former Sens. Saxby Chambliss (R, Ga.), Evan Bayh (D, Ind.), and Norm Coleman (R., Minn.).

Featured in the ad is a terrorist driving a van containing a nuclear bomb that detonates in the United States. It ends by urging for passage of the Corker-Menendez Iran Nuclear Agreement Review Act, which would require any Iranian nuclear deal reached by the administration to be approved by Congress.

.

.
The group spent $500,000 to get the ad on the airwaves, specifically targeting markets in Washington, D.C., Lexington, Ky., and Springfield, Ill. The ads in Kentucky and Illinois call out Sens. Rand Paul (R., Ky.) and Dick Durbin (D., Ill.).

Though the ASI ad is on cable in each of the targeted markets, ABC, CBS, and NBC all declined to run the ad during their Sunday morning news programming.

Fox News aired the ad multiple times during Fox News Sunday.

ABC informed ASI that because the “subject matter” of the ad is “currently pervasive” in the news, the ad could not be aired during This Week with George Stephanopoulos.

Susan Sewell, ABC’s vice president of media relations, said that ABC is unable to comment further on the matter due to company policy.

CBS said the ad was declined for Face the Nation on a national level because it “didn’t meet their standards,” but declined to comment further on the situation. Local affiliates of CBS were free to make their own decision on whether or not to air the ad, but none chose to run it.

Attempts to buy ad time during NBC’s Meet the Press were also unsuccessful, though no reason was given for the decision. Multiple requests for comment to NBC have gone unanswered.

The ad has been on the air since last week on multiple cable channels including CNN, Fox News, and MSNBC. Comcast, which owns NBC, is also running the ad in local markets.

Christopher Maloney, a spokesman for ASI, said that the American people should be concerned that the networks refused to run an ad addressing an issue that can “directly impact our national security.”

“Millions of network news viewers across the country are actively seeking information about our government’s ongoing negotiations with Iran,” Maloney said. “I think many Americans, regardless of their political persuasion, would be concerned to learn that ABC, CBS, and NBC decided not to run an ad discussing what can be done to influence the debate surrounding these negotiations, and how they carry the potential to directly impact our national security.”

Predictably, Leftist Media Ignores Obama’s 60 Minutes Ratings Collapse – Down 69% In One Week

Media Ignores Obama’s 60 Minutes Ratings Collapse; Down 69% In A Week – Gateway Pundit

.

.
The sympathetic news media is avoiding mentioning his name, instead they are blaming the lack of a football intro for the massive collapse in ratings Sunday night for President Barack Obama’s appearance on CBS’ 60 Minutes. Americans turned away from watching Obama even though he was being interviewed about the nation’s new war on ISIS.

For example, Deadline Hollywood didn’t even mention Obama’s 60 Minutes interview when reporting on the drop in viewers.

“With no football lead-in, CBS’ Sunday lineup fell from last week. As expected, the drop was steepest at 7 PM, with 60 Minutes (1.1) off by 69% from last Sunday, when it directly followed the game.”

Also, Variety avoided mentioning Obama on 60 Minutes.

“At CBS, “60 Minutes” (1.1/4 in 18-49, 9.2 million viewers overall) dropped off sharply from last week when it had the end of the Denver-Seattle football game as a lead-in, and was also down about 20% from last year.”

The Los Angeles Times likewise did not name Obama.

“”60 Minutes” didn’t fare as well. With a rating of 1.1 in the key demo, the show was down 69% from last week’s season premiere. About 9.1 million people tuned in.”

Neither did Broadcasting and Cable:

“Newsmagazine 60 Minutes drew a 1.1, down sharply from last week, when it received a big lead-in from football overruns”

TV by the Numbers:

“On CBS, 60 Minutes scored a 1.1, down 69 percent from last week’ s NFL boosted 3.5 adults 18-49 rating.”

The Wrap:

“CBS took fourth place in ratings with a 1.3/4 and third in total viewers with 10.7 million. “60 Minutes” at 7 posted a 1.1/4 with 9.2 million total viewers, while the freshman drama “Madam Secretary” the following hour dropped off 30 percent from last week’s series premiere, posting a 1.4/4 with 12.7 million total viewers.”

Last week CBS sent out a press release bragging on 60 Minutes’ ratings, as reported by the Futon Critic.

There appears to be no reports of 60 Minutes bragging about the ratings for Obama’s 60 Minutes show.

A gold star goes to Hal Boedeker at the Orlando Sentinel for apparently being the only reporter to mentioned Obama in reporting on 60 Minutes’ ratings however he did not mention the huge ratings drop.

“And “60 Minutes” had 9.2 million for an interview with President Barack Obama.”

Change Obama to Bush and one can imagine how the media would have been reporting the 60 Minutes ratings collapse: Americans Tune out Bush as He Drags U.S. in Another War.

Leaked Intelligence Report On Border Crisis Shreds Narrative From Obama Regime And Leftist Media

Leaked Border Crisis Intel Shreds Narrative From Media And Obama Admin – Breitbart Texas

.

.
An elite, law-enforcement sensitive El Paso Intelligence Center (EPIC) intel report from July 7, 2014 was leaked to Breitbart Texas and reveals that homicide rates in Central America suggest violence is likely not the primary cause of the surge of thousands of unaccompanied minors and incomplete family units illegally entering the United States.

The EPIC report indicates that the belief among the illegal immigrants that they would receive permisos and be allowed to stay was the driving factor in their choices to come to the United States and that the crisis will continue until ‘misperceptions’ about U.S. immigration benefits were no longer prevalent . The report also states that the migrants cited Univision and other other outlets as having shaped their views on U.S. immigration policy. Another implication of the report is that family members already in the U.S. are encouraging the minors to come and organizing the travel with smugglers. EPIC is a widely respected intelligence analysis group and was initially staffed by the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA).

According to the official DEA website, EPIC now contains representatives from a host of law enforcement agencies. The DEA states:

Agencies currently represented at EPIC include the Drug Enforcement Administration; Department of Homeland Security; Customs & Border Protection; Immigration & Customs Enforcement; U.S. Coast Guard; Federal Bureau of Investigation; Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives; U.S. Marshals Service; Department of Transportation; Internal Revenue Service; U.S. Department of the Interior; National Geospatial – Intelligence Agency; U.S. Department of Defense/IC; Joint Task Force – North; Joint Interagency Task Force – South; Texas Department of Public Safety; Texas Air National Guard; National Guard Counter Narcotics Bureau; Department of State; Bureau of Indian Affairs; Union Pacific Railroad Police; Kansas City Southern Railroad Police; El Paso Police Department; and the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office.

The leaked EPIC report discusses the motivational factors of the illegal immigrants in their choice to migrate to the United States:

(U//LES) In late May, the U.S. Border Patrol interviewed unaccompanied children (UAC) and migrant families apprehended in the Rio Grande Valley. Of the 230 total migrants interviewed, 219 cited the primary reason for migrating to the United States was the perception of U.S. immigration laws granting free passes or permisos to UAC and adult female OTMs traveling with minors. Migrants indicated that knowledge of permisos was widespread across Central America due to word of mouth, local, and international media messaging – prompting many to depart for the United States within 30 days of becoming aware of these perceived benefits, according to the same reporting.

(U//LES) A majority of migrants interviewed also noted that they had encountered family units, consisting of a mother and child under the age of 18 during their journey to the United States and that the families had indicated they planned to surrender to U.S. authorities because they were informed that they would likely be released.

The EPIC report discusses the lack of correlation between violence rates in Central America and the current border crisis:

(U//LES) EPIC assesses homicide trends and migrant interviews suggest violence is likely not the principal factor driving the increase in UAC migration. While CBP data from early fiscal year 2011 indicates a steady increase in OTM and UAC migration, United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) statistics – within this same timeframe – show a decline in per capita homicide rates in these three countries; El Salvador saw the sharpest decline, followed by Honduras and Guatemala, respectively.

.

.

.

.
The EPIC report discusses the media outlets that the illegal immigrants claimed shaped their perceptions about U.S. policies towards illegal immigrants of this nature:

…Migrants cited Univision, Primer Impacto, Al Rojo Vivo and several Honduran television news outlets for helping shape their perception of U.S. immigration policy.

(U) Although EPIC lacks reliable reporting of Central American newspapers broadcasting the perceived benefits of U.S. immigration policies, several U.S. media outlets since June 2014 have identified Central American newspapers that have enticed minors to travel to the United States. For example, Honduran and El Salvadoran press have reportedly advertised the DACA policy, accommodations for detained UAC, and the promise of reunification with family members in the United States.

The EPIC report discusses the illegal immigrants’ family members already living in the U.S. as encouraging the minors to illegally enter the nation and setting up the travel arrangements with smugglers:

(U//LES) U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) also notes that a large number of migrants interviewed claimed family members in the United States encouraged their travel because the U.S. government would cease issuing permisos after June 2014. (U//LES) U.S. Border Patrol officials report that the majority of migrants interviewed in late May indicated that they made arrangements with smugglers in their respective countries through the assistance of family members and friends in the United States.

The EPIC report states that near-term slowdown in the crisis is unlikely and that traditional migration factors will likely continue to fuel the wave of illegal immigration. It states that the crisis will continue until the migrants’ “misperceptions” about U.S. immigration benefits are changed:

(U//FOUO) EPIC assesses that UAC flow to the border will remain elevated until migrants’ misperceptions about US immigration benefits are changed. We further judge that this process could take the remainder of 2014 given the time needed for bi-lateral coordination efforts – such as information and enforcement campaigns in Mexico and Central America – to take hold. Nonetheless, traditional underlying immigration factors, such as family reunification and poor socioeconomic conditions, will continue to drive alien flow – including minors – from Honduras, Guatemala, and El Salvador.

As Expected, Media Ignoring Democrat Donations Of Demented Racist Donald Sterling

Media Ignoring Dem Donations of LA Clippers’ Owner, Allegedly Caught on Tape In Race-Based Rant – Newsbusters

In stunning audio posted at TMZ, Los Angeles Clippers’ owner Donald Sterling chides a person who is apparently his girlfriend for “taking pictures with minorities” and “associating with black people.” Sterling sees her as a “delicate” “Latina or white girl,” and as such doesn’t understand why she should “associate with black people.” He doesn’t want her bringing black people to games, including NBA legend Magic Johnson.

Assuming the audio is authentic – What kind of crazy, reactionary mindset would cause an owner who works in an industry dominated by black players to have such opinions and feelings? The evidence is admittedly thin and a bit dated, but to the extent it exists, that answer is, apparently, “one who supports and donates to liberal Democrats” (HT Gateway Pundit):

Donald Sterling, Los Angeles Clippers

.
…………

.
Records show Sterling has donated just $6,000, with no activity since the early 1990s. He supported Gray Davis early in his career, as well as Bill Bradley.

As noted, this is not definitive evidence of Sterling’s current political leanings. But if the Clippers’ owner had a 20 year-old record of donating to Republican candidates, it would not only be included in mainstream media stories about the controversy; it would also be considered prima facie evidence of racism.

So far, there’s stone silence about Sterling’s politics in stories found at the Associated Press, which notes that Sterling “has a decades-long history of alleged discrimination and offensive behavior”; the New York Times; and the Washington Post, which has included a quote from the Clippers’ team president noting that the woman involved “is the defendant in a lawsuit brought by the Sterling family alleging that she embezzled more than $1.8 million.”

The media-related snippet of the weekend comes from the Facebook post by African-American Conservatives (HT Young Conservatives):

…if msnbc doesn’t focus on him exclusively for the next 2 weeks… he’s not a Republican.

Indeed.

Flashback: Liberal NAACP Awards Donald Sterling “Lifetime Achievement Award” – Weasel Zippers

He was scheduled to receive his second lifetime achievement award from the NAACP but it has been cancelled in the wake of the comments he made to his girlfriend.

Via HuffPo:

In an excruciating example of bad timing, the Los Angeles chapter of the NAACP was scheduled to bestow its Lifetime Achievement Award to Donald Sterling, owner of the Los Angeles Clippers basketball team, at its May 15 banquet. Sterling is now under fire for racist comments caught on a recording that surfaced on the TMZ website. Even President Barack Obama weighed in, condemning Sterling’s remarks as “incredibly offensive.” The NBA is now investigating Sterling’s remarks and could invoke sanctions, including removing him as Clippers’ owner. […]

Yes, there’s no way that the NAACP could have known that Sterling would be caught making those comments. But there’s also no way that the NAACP could not have known that Sterling has a long history of racist comments and racial discrimination in his rental properties.

Indeed, the NAACP seems to suffer from amnesia. Almost exactly five years ago, a similar controversy arose when the civil rights group honored Sterling with the same award! At the time, Elgin Baylor, who served as the Clippers general manager from 1986 to 2008, had just filed an age and racial discrimination suit against Sterling. According to Baylor, Sterling had a “Southern plantation” view, preferring to field a team of “poor black boys from the South… playing for a white coach.”

Despite the controversy, the NAACP proceeded to give Sterling its award, even though the billionaire’s track record of housing discrimination against African Americans, compounded by the brouhaha with Baylor, was already well-known. To justify the 2009 award, the president of the Los Angeles branch told the Los Angeles Times that Sterling “has a unique history of giving to the children of L.A.,” revealing that the owner donates anywhere from 2,000 to 3,000 tickets a game to youth groups for nearly every Clippers home game.” (Of course, Sterling may simply have wanted to fill the many empty seats at the woeful Clippers’ home games).

24 Underreported Democrat Scandals That Make News Media’s ‘Bridgegate Mania’ Look Like A Joke (Kyle Becker)

24 Underreported Democrat Scandals That Make News Media’s ‘Bridgegate Mania’ Look Like A Joke – Kyle Becker

.

.
Whatever happened in New Jersey under Governor Chris Christie in regards to the already-infamous “bridgegate,” the open gloating by the media over the unacceptable behavior of the Republican governor’s staffers is extremely revealing.

Regardless of one’s views on Governor Chris Christie, this coordinated political feeding frenzy is liberal hypocrisy at its finest. Take a look at some of these over-the-top headlines:

.

.
Here are 25 underreported stories that most news media barely reported on, or blew by as quickly as possible because Democrats are involved.

1. Fast & Furious

Attorney General Eric Holder was held in contempt by the U.S. House for refusing to turn over Department of Justice documents related to the Fast and Furious gunrunning scandal, which led to hundreds of Mexican civilians being killed and U.S. border patrol agent Brian Terry’s death. (See NBC News, August 3, 2011 and Independent Journal Review, June 29, 2012.)

2. Benghazi

Tyrone Woods, Sean Smith, Christopher Stevens and Glen Doherty were killed during the attack, which came without any rescue attempt by the Obama administration. Nevertheless, the White House tried to cover up what happened by blaming a YouTube for causing the terrorist attack, even though there was no protest at the Libyan mission.

3. IRS Targeting Scandal

The IRS not only admitted that it had targeted the Tea Party and other conservative groups during the 2012 presidential campaign in an effort to challenge their tax-exempt status applications, but it also apologized for doing so. But where is the rest of the investigation, and what about accountability?

4. AP/Fox News Tracking

Eric Holder, the man who abruptly recused himself from the AP & Fox phone records scandal, signed off on the private email search warrant claiming Fox reporter James Rosen was a suspected criminal. Holder appears to have misled Congress by feigning he knew nothing about it. The Department of Justice also tracked the phone calls of AP news reporters.

5. ObamaCare’s No-Bid Website

According to a senior watchdog reporter at the Washington Examiner, federal officials only considered one firm to design the ObamaCare exchange website instead of putting the task up for competitive bidding.

6. NSA Scandal

At a Congressional hearing, Senator Ron Wyden asked Director of National Intelligence James Clapper if the NSA collect “any type of data” on law-abiding citizens. And Clapper said no. If the reports in the Washington Post and elsewhere on PRISM are accurate, then this statement appears to be a lie.

7. Weinergate

Democratic Rep. Anthony Weiner confessed that he tweeted a bulging-underpants photo of himself to a young woman and admitted to “inappropriate” exchanges with six women before and after getting married at a press conference in New York shortly before resigning. (See Huffington Post, June 6, 2011.)

8. Spitzer Prostitution Scandal

Former Governor Elliot Spitzer resigned after it was discovered he had engaged in financial transactions with prostitute Ashley Dupre. Spitzer is pictured above holding a press conference with his humiliated wife Silda Wall. Spitzer later landed a short-running show on CNN. (See NY Daily News, June 23, 2010.)

9. Jon Edwards’ Infidelity

In 2008, John Edwards admitted he had cheated on his cancer-stricken wife, Elizabeth, with former campaign staffer Rielle Hunter during his second presidential campaign. He was later indicted June 2011 on federal campaign finance charges. (See Huffington Post, June 1, 2012.)

10. Chris Dodd – Countrywide Scandal

Former Chairman of the Senate Banking Committee Chris Dodd (among five other politicians) received favorable loans from Countrywide that would have saved him up to $70,000, among other financial scandals. He is now Chairman of the Motion Pictures Association of America. (See NY Post, March 30, 2009.)

11. GSA Scandal

The General Services Administration or GSA held a lavish party during a five-day conference in Las Vegas, blowing over $820,000 in taxpayer dollars on shrimp and champagne, commemorative coins, and a mind reader/motivational speaker. (See ABC News, April 16, 2012.)

12. IRS Waste

The IRS blew $50 million dollars for extravagant conferences and ridiculous training videos, doled out $70 million in bonuses and even sent 23,994 tax refunds worth a combined $46,378,040 to “unauthorized” alien workers at one address in Atlanta, Georgia. All without a slap on the wrist.

13. Solyndra/ Green Energy

The now-bankrupt solar energy company, was able to procure $535 million in government loan guarantees. This was after the Obama campaign received over a $100,000 in donations from the “green energy” company, partly bundled for the Obama campaign by major investor and oilman George Kaiser. (See WSJ, September 9, 2011)

14. Charlie Rangel

Resigned Chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee and current Congressman Charlie Rangel failed to report rental income from vacation property in the Dominican Republic as well as hundreds of thousands of dollars in additional income and assets on his financial disclosure statements. (See Huffington Post, July 29, 2010)

15. Maxine Waters – Banking

Current Congresswoman Maxine Waters was brought up on House ethics charges after personally lobbying for a bailout of OneUnited bank, where her husband had previously sat on the board and owned about $350,000 in the bank’s stock. (See Bloomberg, August 11, 2010.)

16. Tony Rezko

According to ABC News, convicted criminal and Obama bundler Tony Rezko made a sweetheart real estate deal with Barack Obama, saving the future president hundreds of thousands of dollars. Obama later said it was a “boneheaded mistake.” (See Townhall, July 16, 2012.)

17. Fannie Mae

Franklin Raines, former Fannie Mae CEO, received million dollar bonuses on top of $91 million salary at FM although the mortgage giant was at center of housing meltdown storm in 2008. Both Raines and former FM CEO Jim Johnson ($21 million salary) worked with the Obama campaign. Obama was the #3 receiver of campaign dollars from Fannie Mae, a so-called “private-public” partnership. (See Politico, October 31, 2011.)

18. Jon Corzine – MF Global

Billionaire bundler for Obama and former New Jersey Governor Jon Corzine, as CEO of the imploded financial services firm MF Global, apparently perjured himself in Congressional hearings, because he did order $200 million in funds to be moved from MF Global’s customer accounts to illegally cover brokerage accounts at JP Morgan Chase. Chase’s CEO Jamie Dimon is a close associate of Barack Obama. (See Politico, May 14, 2012 and Bloomberg March 23, 2012)

19. Geithner Tax Evasion

U.S. Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner failed to pay Social Security taxes, even though he was advised by his employer to do so. He only admitted to the tax evasion after he was caught by an IRS audit. (See Washington Post, January 19, 200.)

20. Jesse Jackson Jr.

The Office of Congressional Ethics found “substantial reason to believe” that Jesse Jackson Jr. attempted to buy Obama’s Senate seat from convicted former Governor Rod Blagojevich by giving campaign contributions. He was later convicted of illegal misuse of campaign funds. (See Politico, December 2, 2011.)

21. David Wu

Oregon Congressman David Wu resigned after the teenage daughter of a friend accused Wu of “aggressive and unwanted sexual behavior.” (See CBS News, July 26, 2011.)

22. David Paterson

According to the NY Daily News, former NY Governor David Paterson “personally directed two female staffers to pressure a domestic violence victim who was pointing the finger at his right-hand man,” his aide David Johnson. (See NY Daily News, March 2, 2010.)

23. Eric Massa

Former NY Representative Eric Massa resigns after sexual harassment allegations were made by a male staffer. Massa later confessed to the charges. (See CBS News, March 5, 2010.)

24. Tom Donilon – National Security Leaks

National Security Advisor Tom Donilon, a man who before the Obama administration had no serious experience in national security, has been widely speculated to have leaked high level security secrets. (See Gateway Pundit, June 11, 2012.)

This list is just the tip of the iceberg from the past few years, surely many people who get news outside of the major left-wing news media can think of many other examples.

So, why is it that Chris Christie is responsible for everything his staffers do, while nothing in the White House is Obama’s fault?

There’s Already 17 Times More Coverage On Christie Scandal Than In Last Six Months Of IRS – Media Research Center

In less than 24 hours, the three networks have devoted 17 times more coverage to a traffic scandal involving Chris Christie than they’ve allowed in the last six months to Barack Obama’s Internal Revenue Service controversy. Since the story broke on Wednesday that aides to the New Jersey governor punished a local mayor’s lack of endorsement with a massive traffic jam, ABC, CBS and NBC have responded with 34 minutes and 28 seconds of coverage. Since July 1, these same networks managed a scant two minutes and eight seconds for the IRS targeting of Tea Party groups.

In contrast, journalists such as Good Morning America’s George Stephanopoulos pounced on the developing Christie story. The GMA host opened the program on Thursday by announcing, “Chris Christie in crisis. Calls at this hour for the feds to step in, investigate the explosive e-mails.” [See a video montage below. MP3 audio here.]

Stephanopoulos later wondered, “One of the big questions right now, how much has it hampered his White House prospects?” Guest Matt Dowd insisted that, on a scale from one to ten, the controversy was already at a “four or five.”

On the CBS Evening News, anchor Scott Pelley sounded a similar alarm: “Tonight, a potential presidential candidate caught up in scandal. E-mails show massive New Jersey traffic jams were engineered by aides to Governor Chris Christie as political payback.”

NBC Nightly News host Brian Williams immediately spun the story as a political pitfall for the possible presidential contender: “In a jam. A big problem for a man with big ambitions. Tonight, how a traffic nightmare on the world’s busiest bridge has spilled into a full blown scandal with the power to damage Chris Christie’s political future.”

Since Wednesday night, NBC included six reports over 14 minutes and 14 seconds. CBS devoted five reports over 12 minutes and 27 seconds. ABC managed 4 stories over seven minutes and 47 seconds.

As a comparison over the last six months, NBC featured a scant five seconds on updating the IRS story. CBS responded with a minute and 41 seconds. ABC produced a meager 22 seconds.

Although the media downplayed the IRS controversy from July through December (it first broke in May), it’s not as though there wasn’t much happening. As the Media Research Center documented, many potential story leads developed.

In December, House investigator Darrell Issa announced that the FBI and IRS chief counsel is stonewalling the investigation. In October, newly obtained e-mails showed that the scandal-plagued Lois Lerner, the woman at the center of the controversy, illegally gave Tea Party tax info to the FEC. That same month, it came out that an IRS official may have given confidential information to the White House.

These stories were buried by ABC, CBS and NBC, the same networks that have immediately deluged Republican Chris Christie, a 2016 contender, with coverage for his scandal.
