Well Over Half Of U.S. States Now Refusing To Take Syrian “Refugees”

Here Is The Map Of All States Defying Obama And Refusing To Take ‘Syrian Refugees’ – Top Right News

.

.
More than half of U.S. states are now refusing to cooperate with Barack Obama’s insane importation of 200,000 so-called ‘Syrian Refugees’ in the wake of the Paris terror attacks.

As public outrage has exploded since revelations that at least two of the Paris terrorists came into Europe as “Syrian refugees,” the number of governors opposing Obama’s plan has increased almost hourly on Monday, from just one – Michigan – overnight, to at least 27 at this hour… including one Democrat in a tight race (Maggie Hassan, NH).

As Top Right News has reported, at least two of the Paris terrorists entered Greece posing as so-called “Syrian refugees” in September – and were able to make their way to France to prepare, arm and execute a massive terrorist attack just 90 days later. This, after a Syrian informant revealed over 4,000 ISIS fighters have already been smuggled into Western nations – “hidden among innocent refugees.”

Obama’s own DHS Secretary Jeh Johnson actually said “we don’t know a whole lot” about Syrian refugees coming into America, and that DHS has “no active protocol” for properly screening them.

Yesterday, Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder (R) announced that, to protect the safety of his citizens, he would BLOCK any future importation of Muslim “refugees” to his state. A virtual avalanche of U.S. governors quickly followed suit. And although Federal law gives Obama the ability to import refugees as he sees fit, through the Jimmy Carter-era Refugee Act (1980), the states are essential parts of the settlement process. Without their cooperation, few if any refugees are likely to be moved to those states.

In a press conference this morning in Turkey, Obama said that ‘the United States has to step up and do its part,’ while chiding those in the opposition party for suggesting there be a ‘religious test’ for entry into the United States.

Clearly, the American people do not agree, and the brutal Paris attacks were the critical mass that has spurred massive political action.

The White House is furious at the growing revolt of the states:

Here is a map of the states currently defying Obama on his Muslim importation program (updated hourly):

As of 11/17/2015 3:00EST

STATES OPPOSING SYRIAN REFUGEES (27):

Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Georgia, Florida, Idaho, Indiana, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, Mississippi, Nebraska, New Hampshire (D), New Jersey, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Wisconsin

UPDATE: Gov. Susana Martinez (R-NM) is opposed to the resettlement of Muslim migrants. This remains missing from all other internet maps/lists hours later, for some reason.

UPDATE: We have Alaska in green because its Republican Gov. Bill Walker (I, former R) said he “can’t be bothered” to address this issue due to other concerns, angering many Alaskans who want him to oppose it.

UPDATE: Gov. Jay Nixon (D-MO) has refused to bar Obama’s refugees from Missouri, despite 105 of 114 counties being opposed to it.

Is your state welcoming any of the 200,000 so-called “refugees” Obama is demanding be imported into the heart of America, despite there being no “effective protocol” to properly vet them for ISIS ties?

If so you may wish to contact your governor at THIS link.

Third Of Syrian Refugees ISIS Sympathizers, 13 Percent Support – Gateway Pundit

A poll released in November but ignored by the mainstream media shows a third of Syrian refugees do not want the Muslim terrorist group ISIS defeated. The survey results buttress concerns by the dozens of U.S. governors who have announced opposition to President Barack Obama’s plan to import 10,000 Syrian refugees over the next year.

The poll shows thirteen percent of Syrian refugees have a completely positive opinion of ISIS with another ten percent having mixed feelings on the terror group, suggesting that nearly one quarter are open to recruitment by ISIS.

Factoring the survey results with the 10,000 Syrian refugees Obama plans to bring to the United States means Obama will bring in 1,300 ISIS supporters and a total of 3,100 who do not want the US to defeat ISIS.

The Obama administration imported about 1,600 Syrian refugees in the past fiscal year. That means around 200 Syrian refugee ISIS supporters and a total of nearly 500 Syrian refugee ISIS sympathizers are already in the country.

The telephone poll of 900 Syrian refugees was conducted by the Arab Center for Research and Policy Studies as part of a larger survey of six hundred people in each of six Arab nations and the Palestinian territories about ISIS. The group surveyed Syrian refugees in “equal proportion” located in Turkey, Jordan and Lebanon. The survey also covered residents of Iraq, Egypt, Lebanon, Tunisia, Saudi Arabia, Jordan and the Palestinian territories.

The poll has a margin of error rate of plus or minus four percent.

The survey result for the other Arab countries show similar levels of support for ISIS which ought to prompt a reevaluation of the U.S. policy for immigrants and refugees from the Middle East. The sole exception is Lebanon where less than one percent have a positive view of ISIS.

At the other end of the spectrum, even more supportive of ISIS than the Syrian refugees, are Palestinians.

The survey shows twenty-four percent of Palestinians have a positive view of ISIS with another thirty-six percent only having a somewhat negative opinion of ISIS. The survey also shows Palestinians as the only group where less than fifty percent (48) support the defeat of ISIS .

A Google News search shows only Investors Business Daily and The Blaze have reported on the survey. In Canada, which has pledged to take in 25,000 Syrian refugees, it appears only The Rebel has reported on the survey.

Obama Admin ‘Lied’ About Vetting Syrian Refugees – WorldNetDaily

The former chairman of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence says President Obama has no coherent strategy to defeat ISIS, and he alleges one of Obama’s top advisers “lied to the American people” to perpetuate a misguided program allowing tens of thousands of refugees into the U.S.

Deputy National Security Adviser Ben Rhodes appeared on multiples Sunday morning news shows. When asked whether the news that one and possibly two of the Paris terrorists came to Europe as refugees would alter the Obama administration’s plan to accept tens of thousands of refugees, Rhodes said there would be no re-evaluation.

“No, Chuck,” Rhodes told “Meet the Press” moderator Chuck Todd. “We have very extensive screening procedures for all Syrian refugees who would come to the United States. There’s a very careful vetting process that includes our intelligence community, our National Counterterrorism Center, the Department of Homeland Security. So we can make sure we’re carefully screening anybody who comes to the United States.”

Peter Hoekstra spent 18 years in Congress and spent much of his time focused on intelligence matters. He is now with the Investigative Project on Terrorism and is the author of “Architects of Disaster,” which outlines the failure of the Obama administration’s policy in Libya.

“I think (Rhodes) basically lied to the American people,” Hoekstra told WND and Radio America. “He said we’ve got a good vetting process in place where we can vet those that are coming from Syria into the United States.”

He continued, “No we do not. The records don’t exist in Syria, especially after you’ve had five years of civil war. We don’t have a relationship with the regime. It’s an ungoverned area. We don’t know who these people are. Ben, shame on you for even implying that we’ve got a good vetting system. We’re lucky if can get the names right.”

In fact, even before the terrorist attacks in Paris, Hoekstra said the idea of bringing in tens of thousands of refugees was a fool’s errand. As such, he said the announcements from a growing number of governors that they won’t accept refugees is a good sign.

“I think it’s a good decision,” he said. “I wasn’t quite sure why we were ever welcoming these folks in. We are a welcoming nation to refugees and to these kinds of individuals, but only after they’ve been vetted.”

Hoekstra said spreading all these refugees around the Western world does nothing to solve the real problem.

“This problem is not solved by accepting refugees into Europe and the United States,” he said. “This problem is solved by eliminating ISIS and bringing some stability back into the Middle East. You’ve got to wipe ISIS out.”

The issue is taking on additional scrutiny after the European Union revealed only one-fifth of the refugees it has accepted (or about 44,000 of some 213,000 total) are actually from Syria.

But the refugee issue is just one element of the Obama administration’s approach to ISIS that baffles Hoekstra. On Monday, Obama told reporters at the G-20 Summit in Turkey that the Paris attacks would not alter the U.S. strategy toward ISIS. Hoekstra said the existing strategy is a proven disaster, as evidenced by Yemen and Libya turning into lawless wastelands and both Syria and Iraq getting increasingly unstable and deadly to Christians, Yazidis and others.

“I’m not sure what strategy this president is looking at that he believes it working,” Hoekstra said. “When you’ve got at least four countries that are no longer governed and are failed nation-states and are home for the planning and training and preparation for attacks against the West, that is not my view of success.”

Another statement from Obama in Turkey is getting even more attention. After announcing he was sticking with his existing strategy toward ISIS, Obama slammed those who want to America taking a more decisive role.

“What I’m not interested in doing is posing, or pursuing some notion of American leadership or America winning or whatever other slogans they come up with that has no relationship to what is actually going to work,” Obama said.

Hoekstra was stunned.

“This message is clear: When the president says, ‘I have no intention of following or implementing a strategy about America leading’ or whatever slogan they may come up with, it is clear that this president does not have a strategy in place for America leading in Northern Africa, the Middle East or, for that matter, any other place in the world,” Hoekstra said.

And he said America’s credibility is taking a beating as a result.

“I hate to be that critical of this president, but America is at risk,” Hoekstra said. “We are in danger, and we’re in danger of losing our influence in the world. We’ve been a voice of stability, security, democracy and human rights. We are just losing all credibility throughout significant portions of the world.”

In addition to his frustrations with the Obama administration, Hoekstra is alarmed at how unprepared the intelligence communities were for the Paris attacks.

“What I’m hearing is that there was some general awareness that there were some attacks or an attack was imminent in Europe,” Hoekstra said. “That was out there, but again no tactical insight into exactly where the attack would take place or when it would take place.”

He said the truth is, it’s really hard to find these small plots before they happen.

“It just tells you that ISIS and these radical jihadist groups in a country of 80 million people or in a country of 300-plus million people like the United States, it’s not that hard to hide and organize and prepare to carry out an attack like this,” Hoekstra said.

So what can be done to improve America’s odds of stopping future attacks?

“We need closer intelligence sharing between our agencies,” Hoekstra said. “We need to push the technology envelope as quickly as we can, and we need to improve our human intelligence.”

Intelligence experts say efforts to infiltrate ISIS have essentially “gone dark,” partly due to former National Security Agency contractor Edward Snowden exposing tactics for tracking terrorist suspects.

Hoekstra said this confirms what everyone should have known about Snowden from the outset.

“As I said at the time, this was not an American hero protecting American liberties,” he said. “This was an American traitor that was giving away some of America’s secrets that would make us more vulnerable to these kinds of groups and these kinds of individuals and these kinds of attacks.”

Idaho Officially Nullifies All Future Federal Gun Control Laws

Victory: Idaho Just Officially Nullified All Future Federal Gun Control – Conservative Tribune

Last week, we reported that the state of Idaho passed emergency legislation that would take effect immediately that nullifies all future federal gun control in the state. That bill was just signed into law by Governor Butch Otter. This is a huge victory for the Second Amendment.

.

.
Idaho joins states like Arizona, Missouri, Kentucky, and others who have passed or are considering substantive legislation that would nullify federal gun control by outlawing it in the state outright or preventing the state from cooperating with the feds in the enforcement of gun control measures.

The strategy the Idaho law and similar laws use is one that uses the anti-commandeering doctrine, which was set down by the Supreme Court to protect the Tenth Amendment by preventing Congress from commandeering state officers in the enforcement of a federal regulatory scheme.

From Ben Swann:

On Thursday, Idaho Governor Butch Otter (R) signed a bill, which would effectively nullify future federal gun laws, by prohibiting state enforcement of any future federal act relating to personal firearms, a firearm accessories or ammunition.

S1332 passed the house by a vote of 68-0 and the senate by a vote of 34-0. Alaska and Kansas have also passed similar laws.

Erich Pratt, Director of Communications for Gun Owners of America, cheered the governor’s action. “By signing this nullification bill into law, Idaho has joined an elite class of states that are telling the feds to ‘get lost’ – especially when it comes to unconstitutional gun control infringements”

The key text of the legislation provides that:

any official, agent or employee of the state of Idaho or a political subdivision thereof who knowingly and willfully orders an official, agent or employee of the state of Idaho or a political subdivision of the state to enforce any executive order, agency order, law, rule or regulation of the United States government as provided in subsection (2) of this section upon a personal firearm, a firearm accessory or ammunition shall, on a first violation, be liable for a civil penalty not to exceed one thousand dollars ($1,000) which shall be paid into the general fund of the state…

This is fantastic news. States are openly rebelling against federal gun control, and their refusal to cooperate in enforcing it will render it ineffective in many areas. The feds need states to participate in the enforcement of these kinds of laws, because there simply aren’t enough federal resources to do so. If we get enough states on board with this type of legislation, we can beat back federal gun control just by default.

Please share this article on Facebook and Twitter if you agree with Idaho’s attempt to nullify federal gun control. Let’s fight back.

Idaho passes law allowing concealed carry on college campuses

Good for the Idaho legislature, the governor is expected to sign it into law. Bearing Arms has more

Despite the emotional outcry from faculty and college administrators, the Idaho House of Representatives overwhelmingly passed a law enabling citizens with an enhanced concealed carry permit to carry handguns on college campuses.

Idaho lawmakers on Thursday approved a measure allowing concealed guns to be carried onto university and college campuses.

The legislation, which cleared the state House of Representatives by a 50-19 vote and was overwhelmingly approved by the state Senate last month, now heads to Governor C.L. “Butch” Otter for his signature.

If the Republican governor signs the bill into law as expected, Idaho will be the seventh U.S. state that allows guns on college campuses, according to the National Conference of State Legislatures.

The passage of the Idaho bill comes amid a tense debate on the extent of gun ownership restrictions in the United States, which has seen a string of recent shootings at schools, movie theaters and other public places.

Under the legislation, those who gain a so-called enhanced concealed-carry permit in Idaho can carry firearms on campus except in such places as residence halls and public entertainment facilities like football stadiums.

The law is expected to be signed by Governor Otter and should be in effect for the next academic year.

Sounds like a good law to me, and Bob Owens points out a great benefit to the “coexist” Liberal crowd

Perhaps as important as the physical security that the law will provide is the opportunity it gives to typically anti-gun faculty and administrators to learn to “coexist” as they so often preach from Prius and Volvo bumper stickers to others.

Among those I look forward to learning tolerance is Boise State University Biology Professor Greg Hampikian will have an opportunity to learn to coexist with concealed carriers, instead of acting like such a drama queen. Bearing Arms sent an email to Hampikian this morning suggesting that he take the 8-hour class needed to earn the enhanced carry permit to help mitigate his fears.

If you have not read the op-ed by Professor Greg Hampikian, go read it. It is the usual screed, filled with predictions of mass shootings and shootouts over lunch lines, and blah, blah, blah. Not only are these tired arguments terribly boring and stale they are completely invalid as well. No matter how many times Liberal buffoons predict that allowing armed law-abiding citizens in a specific place in this case on college campuses, will lead to “blood in the streets” such scenarios never seem to happen. But facts will not deter wannabe Statists like the good professor.

Bill To Punish Gun-Seizing Cops Passes Unanimously In Idaho Senate

Bill To Punish Gun-Seizing Cops Gets Full Senate Support – KBOI2

A bill to punish law enforcement officers who obey a hypothetical federal mandate to seize the firearms of Idaho citizens found no opposition on the Senate floor.

.

.
Lawmakers voted 34-0 in favor of the bill Wednesday, clearing its path to the House.

Sen. Steve Vick, a Dalton Gardens Republican who co-sponsors the bill with Meridian Republican Marv Hagedorn, touts it as a way to ensure Idahoans’ Second Amendment rights are protected.

The proposal is a response to fears that President Barack Obama will ban some guns.

Hagedorn has previously said he knows of no such federal measure in the works.

The bill is similar to one sponsored by then-Rep. Mark Patterson who has since resigned from the legislature. That bill passed the House, but died in the Senate.

Lawmakers and law enforcement credit new wording with taking much of the controversy out of the measure.

The measure won’t affect agreements between state and federal agencies that collaborate on gang and drug investigations.

Likewise, officers who confiscate felons’ firearms won’t get in any trouble.

Raising a generation of Brownshirts?

I saw this at the Lonely Conservative concerning the very real war on boys/war on masculinity which are, in my view, just two more fronts in the larger war on American culture.

Just look at a few recent cases of what schools have done to boys over what most consider to be pretty normal behavior.

At South Eastern Middle School in Fawn Grove, Pa., for example, 10-year-old Johnny Jones was suspended for using an imaginary bow and arrow. That’s right – – not a real bow and arrow, but an imaginary bow and arrow. A female classmate saw this infraction, tattled to a teacher, and the principal gave Jones a one-day suspension for making a “threat” in class.

And more

You’ve probably also heard about the 7-year-old Maryland boy who was suspendedfor gnawing a Pop Tart into the shape of a gun. And then there’s the case of the 8-year-old Arizona boy whose drawings of ninjas and Star Wars characters — and interest in, gasp, zombies — led to threats of expulsion. And, of course, there’s the six-year-old boy charged with “sexual harassment” for kissing a girl. So much for Tom Sawyer and Becky Thatcher. (Read More)

As I already stated, the war on boys is very real. And there is, of course, something else in the cross hairs of the Left, and that is guns. They are teaching kids to loathe and fear guns. The lessons learned is guns=evil. Which is, of course, an incredibly stupid message. Guns are part of American culture, and have been since we were just 13 colonies. Yes, criminals commit evil acts with guns, and knives, and baseball bats, and many other instruments that have very legitimate purposes. And, many, many American stop crimes with guns. So many that the positives of gun ownership far exceeds the drawbacks. Yet, the Left seeks to indoctrinate Americans, especially our children to react with terror when they see a gun, or even hear the word gun, or even see a pastry that might resemble the State of Idaho, which resembles a gun.

The part of the stories above that made me think was this line

A female classmate saw this infraction, tattled to a teacher

What has this little girl been taught? She has been taught that a boy, pretending to shoot a bow and arrow is dangerous, and scary. A boy, being a boy, is dangerous now? That is what our children are learning, and as the generations pass, that leftist mindset will become entrenched, and more kids will grow up with an irrational fear of guns. The little girl in that story is being victimized just like the little boy. She has been taught that another child playing is somehow threatening and should be reported. That is terrifying to me.

Boise Sportscaster Gets Silly On Halloween With Ron Burgundy Impression (Video)

Sportscaster Nails It As Ron Burgundy For Halloween – Daily Caller

Anchorman became a classic pretty much the minute it hit big screens in 2004. Whether they be man, woman or child, everyone loves to quote the Will Ferrell movie. Ferrell’s character Ron Burgundy loved scotch, his mustache and jazz flute.

.

One particularly inspired sports director at KIVI in Boise, Idaho decided that Halloween was the perfect time to let his inner Burgundy show. Paul Gerke absolutely crushed his Burgundy impression over the course of his five and a half minute segment.

He never once broke character, even as his dismayed colleagues floundered to keep up with the act. The inflection was perfect, as was the mustache. Bravo Gerke, bravo.

California teen safe, kidnapper killed in shootout in Idaho

Thank God she is OK, but her life has been shattered, all because of a freak job

Missing California teen Hannah Anderson has been found safe in Idaho, while her suspected abductor James Lee DiMaggio has been killed, San Diego County Sheriff’s officials say.

San Diego Sheriff William D. Gore said San Diego sheriff’s authorities have notified Hannah’s father that she was rescued. “He was very relieved and very excited and looking forward to being reunited with his daughter,” Gore said.

“She appears well and was rescued and will be transported to a hospital in Idaho,” Gore said.

Forty-year-old James Lee DiMaggio was killed by FBI tactical agents after a campsite was spotted from the air, according to Gore. Gore declined to discuss details of DiMaggio’s death, saying authorities in Idaho will release details at a news conference planned for Saturday evening.

Federal and local law enforcement spent Saturday combing through Idaho’s rugged Frank Church River of No Return Wilderness in search of Hannah and her suspected kidnapper, 40-year-old James Lee DiMaggio.

According to Fox40, DiMaggio, 40, was killed around 4 p.m. Saturday afternoon.

What Liberals will never understand about the free market

You might wonder what a story about liquor in Washington state have to do with Liberals and their grasp, or lack thereof, of the free market. Well, this story I found at Weasel Zippers will help fill in the blank

Idaho liquor sales surge near Washington border

Idaho state liquor officials say Washington’s newly privatized liquor market is giving a boost to Idaho’s already-rising liquor sales.

The surge in Idaho border-store sales mirrors a surge in Oregon, where sales near the Washington border rose 35 percent in June, bringing Oregon $870,000 more than usual. That’s just a hair more than Idaho’s border-store sales increase last month. Oregon, like Idaho, has a state-run liquor market.

Washington voters last year approved privatization of the state’s liquor business, opening up liquor sales to grocery stores and other retailers. That came with a new 10 percent distributor fee plus a 17 percent retail fee to replace money the state lost when it shut down its state-run liquor stores. The result was higher prices for consumers at many retail outlets.

Idaho sold about $153.6 million worth of booze in the 2012 fiscal year that ended June 30. That was the equivalent of 968,000 cases of a dozen 750-milliliter bottles and a one-year rise of 6.7 percent, said Jeff Anderson, who heads the State Liquor Division.

The state broke its record for net income on liquor sales, earning $55.5 million or about 10 percent more than in fiscal 2011. That’s partly because people paid more for each bottle, “trading up to premium and super-premium products,” Anderson said.

But it’s also likely because of Washington shoppers driving across the border for lower prices. The eight Idaho-run stores near Washington sold about 33 percent more liquor in June than the same month last year, Anderson said. The state’s overall June sales were 14 percent higher.

Yes, Washington voters moved to privatize the booze business, but the state popped those fees, 10% on distributors and 17% on retailers. Those costs were passed on to consumers. Those consumers sought out their products at cheaper prices, and Washington state is losing revenue. Of course, the state could cut those taxes and more folks would be in state. This is what the Left does not get. As one commentor at Weasel Zippers put it  “if you tax it they will flee”.

Beware those Wal Mart specials

Via The Blaze

LEWISTON, Idaho (The Blaze/AP) — A man says he reached down to pick up a stick lying in the outdoor gardening aisle of a Walmart in eastern Washington state, only to discover that it was a rattlesnake that then bit his hand.

Mica Craig says he was shopping in the outdoor garden department of a Clarkston store when he was bitten Saturday. The 47-year-old man says it latched onto his hand and that he screamed, shook loose the snake and stomped it to death. More specifically, according to the Lewiston Tribune, he said he “did a tap dance on it and got it killed.”

The Tribune in Idaho reports a bystander drove Craig to an emergency room in nearby Lewiston. The Boise Weekly reports he was sent home at first without treatment as it was believed no venom was injected, but when he got home his arm had swelled to the “size of a cantaloupe.” This time at the hospital, he said he received six bags of anti-venom and was told his hand would be permanently disfigured.

Democrat Congressional Candidate From Idaho Arrested After Threatening Store Employees With Gun

Idaho 1st Congressional District Candidate Charged With Aggravated Assault – Idaho Statesman

Boise Police arrested Cynthia Clinkingbeard, 58, Boise, on Friday after she reportedly walked into a store at Eagle Road and Chinden Boulevard and threatened employees with a gun.

The website of the Idaho Secretary of State lists Clinkingbeard as a Democratic candidate in the May 15 primary race for the First District congressional seat.

Clinkingbeard was a doctor specializing in edocrinology, diabetes and metabolism, until the State of Idaho Board of Medicine revoked her license in 2005.

……………………………………

On Friday, police were called at 9:15 p.m. by employees of the store who told dispatchers a woman, later identified as Clinkingbeard, had walked into the store, made strange, threatening remarks to three employees before pulling out a handgun. The caller told dispatchers Clinkingbeard then left the store, continuing to make threats, and drove off in a car.

They described the car to dispatchers. An Ada County Sheriff deputy quickly spotted it driving south on Eagle Road. The deputy, joined by Boise and Meridian police, made a felony traffic stop. Because Clinkingbeard was reportedly armed, they closed Eagle Road in both directions for a brief time.

Officers found Clinkingbeard in the car with two other adults. They were apparently unaware of what had reportedly taken place in the store. Police recovered a gun in the car. They questioned Clinkingbeard, then arrested her.

She was booked into the Ada County Jail on three felony counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

The initial call from the store had been for an armed robbery. Upon investigation, police found that no armed robbery had taken place, said police spokeswoman Lynn Hightower.

The lowest of the low?

College students mocking a wounded Iraq veteran? Yep, that is about as low as you can go

These snot nosed brats at Columbia should be ashamed of themselves…

Columbia University students heckled a war hero during a town-hall meeting on whether ROTC should be allowed back on campus.

“Racist!” some students yelled at Anthony Maschek, a Columbia freshman and former Army staff sergeant awarded the Purple Heart after being shot 11 times in a firefight in northern Iraq in February 2008. Others hissed and booed the veteran.

Maschek, 28, had bravely stepped up to the mike Tuesday at the meeting to issue an impassioned challenge to fellow students on their perceptions of the military.

“It doesn’t matter how you feel about the war. It doesn’t matter how you feel about fighting,” said Maschek. “There are bad men out there plotting to kill you.”

Several students laughed and jeered the Idaho native, a 10th Mountain Division infantryman who spent two years at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington recovering from grievous wounds.

Ungrateful little bastards who possess no concept of liberty, or of the price liberty requires to be perpetuated!
