Oh no! ICE to start targeting teenage gang members!

Some of the most violent gangs are made up of illegals, Google MS-13 for examples. So, ICE should heavily target those illegals in such gangs, along with any illegal that commits violent crimes should they not? Pirates Cove notes that to Liberals, this is just not fair or something

Remember the days when we were told by the pro-illegal alien crowd that they had no problem getting rid of the Bad Illegals Undocumenteds? In practice, they aren’t happy over targeting those bad ones

(Reuters) U.S. immigration agents are planning nationwide raids next week to arrest, among others, teenagers who entered the country without guardians and are suspected gang members, in a widening of President Donald Trump’s crackdown on illegal immigrants.

The raids are set to begin on Sunday and continue through Wednesday, according to an internal memo seen by Reuters. The teenagers targeted will be 16- and 17-years-old.

So, gang members. People who engage in criminal activity. Violence. Rape. Murder. Drug dealing. Terrorizing areas. Fights. Destruction of property. One would thing this would be a good thing. Uh huh. Not in Liberal World

The raids represent a sharp departure from practices during the presidency of Barack Obama. Under Obama, minors could be targeted for deportation if they had been convicted of crimes, but were not arrested simply for suspected gang activity or membership.

Well, like most of Obama’s “brilliant” policies, this one reeks of stupidity, and it should be abandoned. Once again, blaming crime on anything but criminals is the height of foolishness and leads to more crime, more victims. Funny, the left is quick to bash the NRA, gun owners, and police “brutality”, which is usually police enforcing the law. But blaming and punishing criminals for their crimes? Oh no!

ICE enforcing immigration laws, illegal aliens and media hardest hit

Law enforcement enforcing laws? How will America ever survive? Noted blogger William Teach actually favors enforcing laws. That is like is soooooooo insensitive

Does anyone remember this type of headline while Obama was in office, and federal authorities were raiding workplaces and homes to snatch up illegal aliens? Not from the Credentialed Media. It shows the bias in the media, however, this is actually a good thing with illegals being fearful, as CNN attempts to paint a sob story

After ICE arrests, fear spreads among undocumented immigrants

Across the United States, some unauthorized immigrants are keeping their children home from school. Others have suspended after-school visits to the public library. They have given up coffee shop trips and weekend restaurant dinners with family.

Some don’t answer knocks on their doors. They’re taping bedsheets over windows and staying off social media. Nervous parents and their children constantly exchange text messages and phone calls.

From New York to Los Angeles, a series of immigration arrests this week have unleashed waves of fear and uncertainty across immigrant communities.

Where’s the downside? People who’ve broken the law should be fearful of law enforcement coming by and picking them up, then sending them back to their originating countries. Because they are unlawfully present. And using up valuable resources that would be best reserved for legal citizens.

Of course, the media paints a false narrative (Fake News) here that hard working people are being hunted down in droves, rounded up, and booted back to their native countries. But, even with false narratives the truth comes out

ICE said Friday that about 160 foreign nationals were arrested during the week.

Of those, 150 had criminal histories, and of the remaining arrests, five had final orders of removal or were previously deported.

So, well over 90% of those picked up had, say it with me CRIMINAL HISTORIES! In other words they are the ones that ought to be apprehended. And their crimes? violent felonies

But, the media paints a picture that is misleading as to who is being targeted. Enough! the media has a job, when they do it it is a wonderful thing. When they don’t? Well………

Kate Steinle’s Parents Suing San Francisco Sheriff, ICE, And Bureau Of Land Management Over Deadly Immigration Policy

Kate Steinle’s Parents Suing Over ‘Sanctuary Cities’ – WorldNetDaily

.

.
The family of Kate Steinle slapped federal officials and San Francisco Sheriff Ross Mirkarimi with a lawsuit on Tuesday.

They say that Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), the U.S. Bureau of Land Management and the sheriff must take responsibility for their daughter’s July 1 death, after the man charged with her murder along a popular waterfront had been deported five times.

“We’re here to make sure that a change is made so nobody has to endure the pain that my mom and dad and I go through on a daily basis,” Brad Steinle, Kate’s brother, said Tuesday, ABC News reported. “The system failed our sister, and at this point nobody has taken responsibility, accountability. And nothing has changed.”

Juan Francisco Lopez Sanchez, 45, has pleaded not guilty to Steinle’s killing. His criminal record also includes multiple felony convictions for narcotics charges.

“It’s too late for us, that ship has sailed. But we want it for future, possible victims,” Liz Sullivan, Kate’s mother, told a local ABC affiliate.

ICE had turned Sanchez over to San Francisco authorities earlier in the year due to an outstanding drug warrant, but he was not returned upon his release from custody. The gun used to kill Steinle was stolen from a BLM agent’s car on June 27.

San Francisco is one of a number of “sanctuary cities” across the U.S. that does not pressure its local officials to abide by federal immigration laws. Sarah Saldana, director of ICE, said in July that U.S. officials released more than 66,000 criminal immigrants between 2013-2014, CNN reported.

Big Surprise! 70% Of Obama’s Illegal Aliens Fail To Show Up For ICE Appointments

70% Of Obama’s Illegals Are No-Shows For ICE Appointments – Conservative Hideout

Obama turned – well, we were never told how many tens of thousands of families and children he turned loose in the streets of America. He never even told what cities those streets were located. We were told, however, not to worry because the were each given a temporary document of identification and a date and time that each should show-u at an immigration office for secondary interviews.

.

.
Well, Fox News reported on an AP story:

Tens of thousands of young families caught crossing the border illegally earlier this year subsequently failed to meet with federal immigration agents, as they were instructed, the Homeland Security Department has acknowledged privately.

An official with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement revealed that about 70 percent of immigrant families the Obama administration had released into the U.S. never showed up weeks later for follow-up appointments.

The ICE official made the disclosure in a confidential meeting at its Washington headquarters with immigration advocates participating in a federal working group on detention and enforcement policies. The Associated Press obtained an audio recording of Wednesday’s meeting and separately interviewed participants.

Asylum Watch readers are not surprised that 70% were no-shows. We are surprised that this implies that 30% did show-up for their interview. The bright side of this story is that if DHS can’t locate tens of thousands of illegal, whom they turned loose, the Democrats won’t be able to find them either to get them to vote illegally this November. That was the plan, wasn’t it? Eric Holder must be steaming mad.

Well, that’s what I’m thinking. What are your thoughts?

ICE Spending Taxpayer Money To House Illegals In Hotel Rooms, Others Released Into U.S. Population

Agencies Buying Hotel Rooms For Surge Of Mexican Illegal Immigrants, Others Released – Fox News

A sudden influx of illegal immigrants from Mexico requesting asylum is overwhelming immigration agents in San Diego, forcing agencies to rent hotel rooms for some undocumented families and release others to cities around the U.S.

.

Documents obtained exclusively by Fox News show Immigration and Customs Enforcement has been paying for hotel rooms for dozens of recently arrived families to relieve overcrowding inside the San Ysidro and Otay Mesa, Calif., processing centers. Some ICE employees are working overtime and others have been asked to volunteer to work weekend shifts. “Duties include intake, placements, transports and release of family groups and unaccompanied minors,” according to a memo obtained by Fox News.

The surge has raised suspicions about what is driving the influx, amid claims that illegal immigrants have learned they can attempt to get asylum by using a few key words – namely, by claiming they have a “credible fear” of drug cartels.

“This clearly has to have been orchestrated by somebody,” said former U.S. Attorney for Southern California Peter Nunez. “It’s beyond belief that dozens or hundreds or thousands of people would simultaneously decide that they should go to the U.S. and make this claim.”

Sources say one day last week, 200 border-crossers came through the Otay Mesa Port of Entry claiming asylum while and as many as 550 overflowed inside the processing center there and in nearby San Ysidro.

“People were sleeping on floors – they had nowhere to put them,” said one source, a long-time border agent and supervisor. “This shouldn’t be happening. Unless there is an immediate and well-publicized policy change, this situation will become another debacle.”

At a hotel near San Diego – which Fox News agreed not to identify for security reasons – ICE vans arrived several times over the weekend with immigrant families. They were escorted to the second floor by two armed, uniformed agents. Two border agents secured the entrance and side door.

Documents obtained by Fox News show that recently on a single day, dozens of illegal immigrants were being transferred to an area hotel where rooms cost $99 a night. Others were released to addresses in Texas, Florida and even Brooklyn, N.Y.

ICE sources say the addresses are almost always bogus. When they don’t show up for court, they are removed by an immigration judge in absentia.

Most of the immigrants came from Mexico, but others listed their native country as Haiti, Romania, Guatemala and Iraq. Some were over age 50, others were under a year old. Thirty were transported to a hotel. Seventy were released around the country.

Fox News spoke to four agencies responsible for the San Diego situation last week. All deferred to the Department of Homeland Security press office in Washington, D.C., which issued this statement:

“Credible fear determinations are dictated by long standing statute, not an issuance of discretion. The USCIS officer must find that a ‘significant possibility’ exists that the individual may be found eligible for asylum or withholding or removal.

“If the credible fear threshold is met, the individual is placed into removal proceedings in Immigration Court. The final decision on asylum eligibility rests with an immigration judge.”

It is during this time – during removal proceedings – when illegal immigrants are released. Many don’t show up, as 91 percent of asylum claims from Mexico are denied.

Asylum claims from Mexico are highly unusual and critics say this is an orchestrated sham – it’s not about getting asylum, they say, but about overwhelming the system and getting a free pass into the U.S. and a court date for which no one will show up.

“Hundreds of thousands of people have never returned and the list of people for whom warrants are outstanding is phenomenal,” said Nunez. “We have a long history of people absconding from immigration hearings of one sort of another, they just blend back into the community.”

ICE sources say an estimated 600,000 to 800,000 illegal immigrants a year do not show up for their court date and disappear into the U.S.

The number of asylum claims is on the rise, almost tripling the last four years. Most come from Chinese, Egyptian and Ethiopian immigrants. Fewer than 200 a year come from Mexico, let alone 200 in a day. However, by claiming they have a “credible fear of persecution” if returned to Mexico, the immigrant is entitled to a series of interviews, hearings, proceedings and appeals that can drag on for years.

The initial evaluation usually is done in the border processing center by an asylum officer employed by USCIS.

An immigration spokesman said last week: “The legal threshold for ‘credible fear’ is broad and low to ensure individuals who may face a ‘significant possibility’ of persecution… have the opportunity to have their case heard before an immigration judge.”

Last week, an asylum officer heard the claims of the “Dream 9,” nine Mexican nationals brought to the U.S. as children. Even though seven of the nine lived, worked and went to school in Mexico without incident, they were granted asylum. Most thought they would be deported.

“The order from Washington are to simply turn these people loose,” said Ira Mehlman, a spokesman for the Federation for American Immigration Reform. “All you have to say is you qualify for the Dream Act and or you intent to apply and they’re instructed by their higher ups to simply turn these people loose, to set them free and let them pursue any path they want.”

There are 57 immigration courts and 231 immigration judges. Immigration courts handle 280,000 proceedings each year – an average of 1,243 per year per judge, or four decisions per day.

Asylum can be granted if the applicant has suffered past persecution or has a “well-founded fear of persecution” on account of race, religion, nationality, membership in a social group, or political opinion in their native country.
