George W. Bush Outpolls President Asshat

George W. Bush Outpolls Barack Obama – Politico

Americans now have a more favorable view of former President George W. Bush than they do of President Barack Obama.

It is the first time in more than a decade that Americans have expressed a favorable view of Bush, at least according to a new CNN/ORC poll released Wednesday.

Bush is seen in a favorable light by 52 percent of those surveyed, compared with 43 percent who still view the 43rd president unfavorably. Americans are split on Obama, with 49 percent responding favorably and unfavorably.

The last time Bush polled in positive territory was in early April 2005, close to three months into his second term.

Among living presidents, George H.W. Bush and Bill Clinton are viewed the most favorably, with 64 percent responding favorably to both. Just 30 percent see the elder Bush negatively, and 33 percent see Clinton in an unfavorable light.

When the same question was asked in 2014, the 43rd president polled at 46 percent favorability, continuing his steady increase in the public’s esteem since leaving office, when just 33 percent responded that way in February 2009.

The poll was conducted May 29-31 by telephone, surveying 1,025 Americans, with an overall margin of error of plus-or-minus 3 percentage points.

*VIDEO* Flashback: George W. Bush’s Prophetic Iraq Warning Of July, 2007

The Quagmire the Left does not want to talk about

Among the words the Left loves to use, and use, and use is the word “quagmire”. As in Vietnam was a “quagmire” Iraq will be a “quagmire”, it seems the Left loves them some quagmires, unless it is a quagmire involving President Obama. Stacy McCain has more on Obamamire, or maybe quagcare is more suiting

Attempts by the White House and liberal media to spin their way out of this mess are failing almost as badly as ObamaCare itself.

The simple facts are against them, and the elaborate rationalizations cannot hide the truth. A quick sample of headlines today:

Health Consumers Finding Out
They Were Sold a Lemon

– Megan McArdle, Bloomberg

I had great cancer doctors and
health insurance. My plan was cancelled.
Now I worry how long I’ll live.

– Edie Littlefield Sundby, Wall Street Journal

Will Insularity, Incompetence,
and Lies Doom Obamacare?

Obamacare: Memo reveals health care adviser
warned W.H. was losing control 3 years ago

– CBS News

Feinstein: Hey, you could have kept your
plan … until we enacted ObamaCare

– Ed Morrissey, Hot Air

What this resembles, quite frankly, is the way George W. Bush’s popularity tumbled in his second term after the insurgency in Iraq started inflicting significant casualties on U.S. troops with no apparent end in sight. Bush was re-elected in 2004 because voters believed (by a relatively narrow majority) that we should “stay the course” in Iraq, and that the insurgency was being defeated. But as 2005 gave way to 2006 and the U.S. death toll in Iraq kept mounting, the perception began to grow that we had taken on an impossible task, that our troops were stuck in a pointless mission they could not win, and there was a political backlash that caught most Republicans by surprise.

ObamaCare is a quagmire, and Democrats have no exit strategy.

Sadly, the exit strategy is glaringly obvious. Repeal Obamacare, and replace it with meaningful measures that A- CAN be done and B- that leave those already insured alone, and C- that actually tries to fix the problems rather than hijacking the entire healthcare system. Yeah, I know, the Democrats will never go for that will they? Now might be a time for any Democrat reading this to ask themselves why they are still a Democrat.

Congressman Peter King, feel free to go fuck yourself

Asshole! I suppose he never noticed when Democrats attacked George W. Bush just because he was from a different party?

Via The Hill:

People are willing to demonize Obama because he’s from a different party, Rep. Peter King (R-N.Y.) said.

Rep. Peter King (R-N.Y.) said Tuesday that there are about 30 to 40 Republicans in Congress who refuse to recognize the legitimacy of Obama’s presidency and are seeking to erase everything that’s happened during his administration.

King made the remarks in a discussion with Chris Matthews on MSNBC’s Hardball, after the host asked how many Republicans would like to “erase [Obama’s] record as if he was never here.” […]

“This is a very dangerous aspect to our government,” King said. “The fact that we have people who are willing to demonize the president of the United States because he’s from a different party.”

Way to prostate yourself on MSNBS Rep. King. Gutless wonder! I suppose we can expect King to be doing ads for knee pads soon.

11 Ways Barack Obama Is Way Worse Than George W. Bush (Kyle Becker)

11 Ways Barack Obama Is Way Worse Than George W. Bush – Kyle Becker

1. Spending

Both were profligate spenders. While Bush had Medicare Part D, and largely unfunded wars, President Obama has doubled down with an $812 stimulus package and ObamaCare – which has been taxing us without providing benefits. Obama signed onto the 2009 budget exploding spending, which he only slightly scaled back. While W’s average yearly deficit was $250.7 billion, President Obama’s has been $1.273 trillion, and he has racked up over $6 trillion in national debt. Yet Obama once called Bush’s debt “irresponsible.” Now, about job creation…

2. Job Creation

Both had recessions to deal with. W. came into office with a recession after the dotcom bubble burst and then 9/11 hit. However, he was able to generate 52 straight months of job growth, before a housing market collapse. Obama’s average unemployment has been 8.8% (Bush’s was 5.27%), labor force participation rate is at the lowest since Oct. 1978 at 63.4%, without the benefit of much job growth – the country has netted 270,000 jobs since 2009, and the majority of Obama’s job creation has been temp & part-time jobs. No hype, no contest. Okay, let’s talk about war…

3. War

While W’s invasions of Iraq and Afghanistan had bipartisan backing, and with prominent Democrats like Hillary Clinton and Nancy Pelosi having stated their beliefs that Iraq had wmds, Obama feels he has the authority to send troops to potentially die for the country without Congressional representation. Joe Biden said W. should be impeached if he unilaterally took the U.S. to war with Iran, but the Nobel Peace Prize winning president may do it twice with Libya and Syria, while racking up 74% of the U.S. fatalities in Afghanistan. What about civil liberties?

4. Civil Liberties

The Patriot Act was opposed by Democrats and many Independents, Libertarians and libertarian-leaning Republicans, even in the aftermath of 9/11. Obama warned about the Patriot Act as a Senator in 2005, but signed onto it twice as president, without major alterations – by autopen. On Guantanamo Bay, he promised he would shut it down in his first year in office, but it remains open. And as far as domestic spying, the Bush-era breaches of Constitutional protections can’t touch Obama’s brazenly lawless NSA programs like PRISM. How about corruption?

5. Corruption

While the main bone of contention for Democrats that Bush was corrupt was the refrain of Haliburton and no-bid contracts, President Obama too hired Haliburton subsidiary KBR with a no-bid contract worth $568 million. Additionally, the mantra “No Blood for Oil” proved to be an ill-founded concern when post-liberation Iraq was opened up for oil contracts. President Obama passed a massive healthcare package, like Bush, but exempted many unions and friendly corporations, not to mention politicians like himself. Obvious green energy kickbacks for party supporters include Solyndra, BrightSource, and NRG Energy. The stimulus package was rife with pet projects and pork. This leads into scandals…

6. Scandals

The most egregious scandal of the Bush era was Abu Ghraib, which ran as a headline on the New York Times frontpage 47 times. Fast & Furious has drawn allusions to similar programs under Bush; however, the “gunwalking” under Obama led to untracked “assault rifles” falling into the hands of drug cartels, which promptly used them to murder hundreds of Mexicans and border patrol agent Brian Terry. Benghazi, seen as an unacceptable scandal by many, is where a US ambassador was murdered with no serious rescue operation ordered until much later… after stand down orders halted rescue protocols. The IRS’ profiling of conservative groups, and the NSA’s illegal surveillance programs, are also scandals that are not perceived to be “phony” to the majority of the informed public, as polled. Now, let’s look at a key campaign promise…

7. Lobbyists

Lobbyists were said to be a main problem in Bush-era by the Obama administration, and Obama promised to put an end to it upon his arrival to Washington. Yet he continued hiring lobbyists and even secretly met with them off-the-record. Additionally, members of Obama’s economic team were plucked from Wall Street, and particularly, from Goldman Sachs, like Treasury Chief of Staff Mark Patterson, after the financial titan lucratively backed his first election. As for another big deal that makes Bush seem like a piker…

8. Whistleblowers

Whistleblowers have been suppressed more under Obama than under any other president. The current Commander-in-Chief has gone after multiple whistleblowers in the NSA, including Edward Snowden. Witnesses to Benghazi have been hidden from public questioning, and the #2 man in Libya Gregory Hicks was ostensibly demoted for even talking to Republican Congress members about what happened. The administration has unleashed the DOJ on the ATF, journalists at the AP, and Fox News reporter James Rosen. Back to the economy…

9. Economic Inequality

Economic inequality has worsened under Obama. As Emmanuel Saez found, under Bush from 2002 to 2007, the top 1% of earners captured 65% of all income growth. Under Obama from 2009-2010, the top 1% captured 93% of all income growth in the country. It could be posed that this widening disparity is a reflection of regulatory barriers to small business growth being erected in the private sector, the tax write-offs and loopholes for corporations that still persist (including in green energy), and the flood of easy money that is channeled to Wall Street, but erodes the value of the dollar on Main Street. Need I say more? So this leads naturally to GDP growth…

10. GDP Growth

George W. Bush’s real GDP or economic growth was a subpar 1.67% (the historical average from 1980-2000 was 3.405%), but President Obama is the worst post-WWII president in such terms at 1.075%. In fact, in the last quarter of 2012, the economy Obama helps set policy for experienced negative GDP growth of 0.1%, also known as “contraction.” This year, the Obama reworked the formula the government uses to come up with GDP growth numbers by adding Hollywood movies and other intellectual property sources to the equation. Finally…

11. Race Relations

Race relations seem to be getting worse under President Obama, contrary to expectations upon the election of America’s first black president. While there are no sound reasons to believe George W. Bush’s policies were substantively racist – it seemed a foregone conclusion that relations would improve under Obama. However, only 10% polled by Rasmussen believe race relations are improving. President Obama may share King’s “dream,” but as far as his record goes, it is too often being judged by the color of his skin, and not by the character of its content.

Remember When Deficits Mattered to Liberals?

And, by Liberals I of course include the media. When George W. Bush was president, deficits mattered, and to be fair there was too much spending under W, but since Obama assumed his throne, I mean was elected President, Liberals have a fever. A fever which only can be cured by more spending apparently. Deficits? Find a Liberal that takes them seriously, no matter how massive those deficits are

Via CNS News:

The Congressional Budget Office last week released updated historical budget data for the federal government, reporting a deficit of $1.087 trillion in fiscal 2012.

2012 marked the fourth straight year—and the only four years in the history of the nation–when the federal government’s deficit topped $1 trillion.

Last year’s $1.087 trillion deficit was even greater in inflation-adjusted dollars than the peak World War II deficit of fiscal 1943—which was $54.554 billion in 1943 dollars and $723.8714 billion in 2012 dollars, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics online inflation calculator.

Your conspiracy theory of the day

Via 90 Miles From Tyranny

A former cybersecurity advisor to President George W. Bush says a sophisticated computer hack could have been the cause of the automobile accident that claimed the life of journalist Michael Hastings last week in Los Angeles.

Richard Clarke, a State Department official-turned-special advisor to several United States presidents, said the early morning auto crash last Tuesday was “consistent with a car cyberattack,” raising new questions about the death of the award-winning journalist.

Hastings died last week when his 2013 Mercedes C250 coupe collided with a tree in Los Angeles, California on the morning of June 18. He was reportedly traveling at a high rate of speed and failed to stop at a red light moments before the single-car crash. He was only 33.

Speaking to Huffington Post this week, Clarke said that a cyberattack waged at the vehicle could have caused the fatal collision.

“What has been revealed as a result of some research at universities is that it’s relatively easy to hack your way into the control system of a car, and to do such things as cause acceleration when the driver doesn’t want acceleration, to throw on the brakes when the driver doesn’t want the brakes on, to launch an air bag,” Clarke told The Huffington Post. “You can do some really highly destructive things now, through hacking a car, and it’s not that hard.”

“So if there were a cyberattack on the car — and I’m not saying there was,” Clarke continued, “I think whoever did it would probably get away with it.”

The Los Angeles Police Department said they don’t expect foul play was involved in the crash, but an investigation has been opened nonetheless.

In an email reportedly sent by Hastings hours before the crash, he told colleagues that he thought he was the target of a federal investigation.

“Hey [redacted}, the Feds are interviewing my ‘close friends and associates,’” Hastings wrote 15 hours before the crash.

Personally, I would bet Hastings was drunk, or stoned, or just driving like an idiot, and the crash was his fault, but this is an interesting theory

Remember Comrades, some grieving mothers are more equal than others

Fritz asks, and answers the question, who is Pat Smith?

Cindy Sheehan vs. Pat Smith: How The Media Continues To Serve As Obama’s Bodyguard

Remember Cindy Sheehan? Sheehan lost her son, Army Specialist Casey Sheehan, in the Iraq War in 2004, became a staunch anti-war activist, and an overnight celebrity. Where Sheehan went, cameras, microphones, and fawning praise followed, breathlessly capturing her every thought on President Bush and the war. The makeshift camp she set up outside of Bush’s Crawford ranch attracted scores of (other) celebrities, journalists, and even Congressmen. Sheehan’s message was not only devoutly covered but even flattering monikers were bestowed (“the Rosa Parks of the peace movement!”) and accolades were endless.

Sheehan was given any and every platform, with the media tripping over itself, for years, to report her words.

The espoused rationale for the intense coverage was, purportedly, that this grieving mother deserved an ‘explanation’ for her son’s death. This despite the fact that, as tragic as her loss was, Sheehan’s quest was not one seeking answers, nor were there any unaddressed questions or mysteries about her son’s death – her mission was a general, common one: that of an anti-war protestor.

That same media, however, who believed Sheehan was owed an explanation, is curiously dismissive of Pat Smith. Pat Smith lost her son, Information Officer Sean Smith, in the Benghazi attack last autumn. But apart from a few scattered interviews, the mainstream media has, for months, turned its back on Smith, seemingly echoing Hillary Clinton’s “What difference does it make?!” sentiment. Far from receiving praise and encouragement, Smith, in an interview with Sean Hannity on his radio program last week, emotionally noted the efforts to silence her.

But both are grieving mothers who lost a son while he served his country abroad during a controversial event. So why the difference in treatment? Why was one mother inundated with media while the other is shunned?

Quite simply, Cindy Sheehan — slamming the “illegal and immoral” war for “oil” and comparing Bush to Hitler — was Christmas morning, every morning, for the Left.

The media, once again, refuses to do their job!

When Democrats say “by ANY means necessary”…..

They bloody well mean it!

The important thing to understand about the Democrat Party is that they have no moral or philosophical principles of any kind. The Democrat Party is about power for its own sake, and everything that Democrats claim to stand for is negotiable, subject to change if necessary to win elections. For example, if racism will win election for Democrats, then they will use racism to win elections:

Boy, some people just do not get how “cool” Obama is I guess

After the Stare of the Union speech, ah sermon, ah campaign event last night you might be wondering what other regular Americans thought of it. I overheard several conversations at the airport today, and, suffice it to say, the thumbs were not pointing up. Over at Wyblog, Chris is less than impressed

Universal preschool? Yeah, because starting the progressive indoctrination at age 5 is sometimes too late. Gotta get ’em when they’re really young and impressionable. By kindergarten some kids already believe in God, and that cuts down on their ability to pledge unvarnished fealty to the State.

How else can he expect to create a nation of sheeple who’ll let him play dictator via the Executive Order(s) of the Day? The government is smarter than you; go back to watchingAmerican Idol and leave the thinking to us!

Gun Control! Now! Because children.

How about ponies? Children want ponies too. I’ll bet I can find a boatload of YouTube videos of kids asking for a pony. Are those kids any less earnest than the kids begging Dear Leader to take away my guns?

If I wanted a child to run the country I would have voted for one. Can we put the adults back in charge? Please?

“The fact is, the 12 hottest years on record have all come in the last 15.” Um, no. Sorry Sport. Not even close. Get your facts straight.

Oh, who am I kidding? To his followers, anything Dear Leader says is automatically a Fact. Unless you’re a racist.

He’s reduced the deficit by $2.5 Trillion. He said it, it must be true. In some alternate universe.

Of course, Obamabots do reside in an alternate universe. A universe where the terrible economy of President Bush was Bush’s fault but the terrible economy of Obama’s first term is, well that is Bush’s fault as well. A universe where that evil President Bush spent WAY TOO MUCH! A universe where the Obamassiah spent way more than Bush, but that is OK, I mean he had to spend more, because, apparently, the only way to fix too overspending is by spending more. Oh, and that unemployment rate? Bush’s fault!

So, basically, this is what Obama says he wants. He wants to spend more, tax more, gut the military, embrace our enemies, tell our friends to go screw themselves, and oh yes, create lots of green jobs, you know, because that worked so well during the first four years of Obamanomics. Oh, and, of course, Obama tells us that whole sequester notion that he cooked up? Well that is the Republican’s fault now, an evil plot to take food from children or something. Of course, he pitched for more gun control laws, and more government solutions for everything.

So, I suppose there is but one thing to learn here America. Obama is not the solution, he is the problem

Chris Matthews is your Daley Douchebag

Via Weasel Zippers

Via Newsbusters:

CHRIS MATTHEWS: Why is John McCain so angry? Forty years after the Vietnam POWs came home, the most famous of them is angrier than ever. Why is America, why are we fighting the Vietnam war all over again in the United States Senate? The ticked off vitriol against Chuck Hagel, what is it about is? Is it for show? Is it about something Hagel said in the cloakroom? Is it about the basic unfairness of Vietnam itself that some went and some didn’t? Is it about Lyndon Johnson’s inability to either win that war or end it? What is it that burns so deeply in John McCain these days? It seems to excite those who knew nothing of Vietnam, but for hard reasons want to replay it again and again in Iraq and Afghanistan and Libya and Syria and, yes, eventually in Iran. Well, tonight, we dig into the deep well of resentment burning in John McCain’s patriotic heart.

A resentment not against the North Vietnamese who imprisoned and toured him all those years, not against George W. Bush and his political henchmen who tried to stain McCain’s reputation back in 2000, but against a guy who fought against fear and rallied against wounds just like he did in the same army of America’s long nightmare in Vietnam, Chuck Hagel. A nightmare by the way whose flashbacks must haunt still the mind and heart of John Sidney McCain. I’m joined by David Corn of Mother Jones and Joy Reid of the Grio. Both are MSNBC analysts. Both of you, sir and lady, are younger than me but I’m absolutely convinced we’re watching a flashback. Watch this. Here is Senator John McCain. Did he a long, angry windup before he launched into his first so-called question. It was really an indictment for a former Senate colleague and former friend and fellow Vietnam veteran Chuck Hagel. It included putdowns as well as references to Vietnam.

Senator McCain is not my favorite Republican, and I have been critical at times of his politics, but frankly, Matthews comments are deplorable. What the Hell has loud mouthed Matthews who looks like Newt’s retarded little brother ever done? Seriously what? I mean besides being a loud-mouthed fool who sounds like he is either drunk, or habitually stupid, or both. John McCain sacrificed for this nation while fighting Communists. Matthews, today, serves as nothing more than a useful idiot for modern-day Leftism. What an absolutely despicable excuse for a man Chris Matthews is.

Time running out to choose the light bulb you prefer

Remember liberty?

When Republicans took back control of the House in 2010 they were able to push back the default ban on incandescent light bulbs, but it was too little too late. Soon you won’t be able to buy them.

The free market operates by offering incentives to consumers to change their behavior. Cutting prices, advertising and developing new products redirect the public’s impulses in a natural, painless way. The government, on the other hand, has no passion or patience for this sort of thing.

Words like “must,” “shall,” and “mandate” pepper the texts of laws like Obamacare. The incandescent light-bulb ban, which goes into effect in March, is another case in point. The bulbs aren’t officially banned, just artificially obsolete. As part of the Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007, Congress mandated that light bulbs have 25 percent greater efficiency, phased in starting in 2012 and continuing until 2014. The law also includes a slew of mandates on appliances and energy use in federal buildings.

A 310-page masterpiece of micromanagement, the law was promoted heavily by then-House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, San Francisco Democrat, and signed by President George W. Bush. The bill was driven by a consortium of manufacturers that stand to profit from forcing people to buy more expensive bulbs and fixtures, plus the environmental lobby, which likes to pretend government regulations can lower the planet’s temperature.

Alarmed at the prospect of being forced by law to purchase expensive, squiggly compact fluorescent light (CFL) bulbs instead of cheap, warm incandescent bulbs, Americans complained loudly. In the face of a popular revolt, Congress pushed the start date back to October 2012 and defunded enforcement of efficiency standards as part of the 2012 and 2013 appropriations bills.

However, seeing the writing on the wall, manufacturers began phasing out incandescents. The last major General Electric factory that made them closed in Winchester, Va., in September 2010, putting 200 people out of work. One hundred-watt bulbs are already gone in some stores. (Read More)

This is just a small example of what happens when we elect buffoons who think they know better than us, or the free market, or the Founders.

Former President George H.W. Bush in hospital, Leftist tolerance hardest hit

My prayers are with President Bush, and his family.

Former President George H.W. Bush’s family sought privacy and provided no new details Thursday about his medical condition, a day after his spokesman said he’s in intensive care after being hospitalized for treatment of a bronchitis-related cough.

Bush spokesman Jim McGrath said he would put out another statement “when events warrant it,” citing the family’s right to and desire for privacy.

Bush, 88, entered Methodist Hospital in Houston on Nov. 23 for treatment of what McGrath has described as a “stubborn” cough. He had spent about a week there earlier in November for treatment of the same condition.

It was hoped Bush would be well enough to spend Christmas at home. But while his cough improved, he developed a persistent fever. McGrath disclosed Wednesday that Bush, the oldest living former president, had been transferred to the intensive care unit Sunday and his condition was downgraded to “guarded.”

Sadly, the Left are showing their moral retardation on Twitter

Former President George H.W. Bush is surrounded by family in the ICU of Houston’s Methodist Hospital as he fights a “stubborn fever.” Doctors are “cautiously optimistic,” but the 88-year-old “remains in guarded condition.”

Thoughts and prayers flooded Twitter Wednesday as news of Bush’s illness spread. But the stomach-turning death wishes and plans for ghoulish celebrations weren’t far behind. Here are just some of the repulsive haters salivating over the possibility that Bush won’t recover.

Hope George BUSH HW DIES. Old bitch cripple, 20xx’ed Beavis swag sad, doc death triggnomic mofo. crucify him for the defect.

Oh goody another boycott!

I really find most boycotts distasteful, no matter who is calling for one. I hate it when Left-wing groups do it, I hate it when Conservatives do it. So this story, about a group of women stricken with Offendeditis, yes, conservatives can contract this malady just like Liberals can, who are demanding we boycott J.C. Penney because they had Ellen DeGeneres do a commercial for them, she is a Lesbian you know, is pathetic. Who she sleeps with is her business. I remember catching some of her show, a few years ago. She had one of George W. Bush’s daughters on, and treated her very well. She seems like a decent person to me, what skin is it off my nose if she is a spokesperson for a store I sometimes shop at?

Donald Douglas has the commercial, that has so offended a group calling themselves One Million Moms, how original.

What is offensive about this ad? Nothing, but, the mere fact that DeGeneres is playing for the other team offends this group. So it is boycott time! Give me a break! This is more like look at us time

A J. C. Penney Christmas commercial featuring openly gay talk show host Ellen DeGeneres has angered a Christian group called One Million Moms, which called for a boycott of the retailer.

“JCP has made their choice to offend a huge majority of their customers again,” the group said in a statement. “Christians must now vote with their wallets.”

“We have contacted J C Penney’s several times in the past with our concerns, and they will not listen,” the statement continued. “They have decided to ignore our complaints and so we will avoid them at all costs.”

The group — which is affiliated with the ultraconservative American Family Assn. — has criticized J. C. Penney several times this year for ads or commercials including lesbian or gay people.

In February, One Million Moms urged shoppers to boycott Penney’s after the company first named DeGeneres as a spokeswoman, but later dropped the campaign after several critics, including Fox News host Bill O’Reilley, attacked the group’s efforts.

Oh they are afilliated with the AFA, that explains a lot. Groups like these strike me as people who like to think that everything on TV ought to be pre-approved by them. You can hit their website and check out the things that outrage them. Many of the alerts I saw were asinine frankly. Sorry, folks, but EVERYTHING on TV is not going to be for children. They are no better than the politically correct Liberals who want to shut up anyone who says things they do not like. They strike me as overly sensitive and whiny, two things that are a big part of what is wrong with America. There are many channels, many shows, many movies, many choices. If you do not like something then change the channel, it is not difficult!

So, I am sure I have now offended some Social Conservatives, and that is OK. I am more of a person that believes that in a free society, we are going to be offended sometimes. When a place of business offends me in some way, I do not call for a boycott, I simply do not go back. When I see something I do not like on TV, I change the channel. When Bill Maher, or any of the MSNBS hosts say something twisted and despicable, and that is pretty much anytime they open their mouths, I do not try to launch a campaign to get them fired. Why would I they have a right to free speech too. And I enjoy using MY free speech to go after their ideologies. And yes, the One Million Easily Offended Moms have a right to call for a boycott, no matter how distasteful it is to me. See how it works?

Aleister: They told me if I voted for Romney…………

…that people would be living in FEMA camps, and well

When George W. Bush was president, people on the far left pushed an internet conspiracy theory about the government forcing people to live in FEMA Camps.

The conspiracy was eventually debunked by… Glenn Beck.

While I’m not a conspiracy theory guy, I can’t help but notice that many of the victims of Hurricane Sandy are currently living in…. a FEMA Camp.

Know what it’s called? Camp Freedom. The residents report a prison like environment.

George Orwell, please call your office…

He stood and talked in the cool morning air a short distance up the road after security at the front gate threatened to have his car removed outside the entrance to what Sotelo’s identification tag calls “Camp Freedom,” even though it more closely resembles a prison camp.

The Seaside Heights, N.J., resident was at a Toms River, N.J., arena with his wife and three kids a half hour before the shelter opened as superstorm Sandy approached last week. On Wednesday, Sotelo was part of a contingent shifted to this makeshift tent city in a parking lot across the road from a racetrack about 30 miles north.

“Sitting there last night you could see your breath,” Sotelo said. Outside temperatures hovered below freezing, in the upper 20s and low 30s. “At (the arena) the Red Cross made an announcement that they were sending us to permanent structures up here that had just been redone, that had washing machines and hot showers and steady electric, and they sent us to tent city. We got (expletive).

“The elections are over, and here we are. There were Blackhawk helicopters flying over all day and night. They have heavy equipment moving past the tents all night.”

Welcome to the part of the disaster where people start falling through the cracks.

No media is allowed inside the fenced complex, which houses operations for Jersey Central Power & Light’s army of workers from out of the area.

Obama: We leave nobody behind

Vodpod videos no longer available.

Good grief, does he not get the irony of that statement? Does he not see that many Americans will at the very least, raise an eyebrow over this? Smitty has more

Words are meaningless to this man. Empathy? Not a chance. It is amazing to watch this transformation. From Hope and Change to this, and obviously empty suit uttering empty rhetoric, and rather than bringing us together, dividing us as never before. The Obama Train looks to be derailing, and, as  RS McCain notes, the truth is very tough on the Obamabots

This will be seen in retrospect as the day liberals began to realize that Obama was going to lose the election, the day The Great Wall of Denial (erected by Nate Silver and the Democrat Graveyard Whistling Choir) proved itself too weak to withstand an encounter with reality.

Yesterday, Jim Messina called the Romney super-PAC’s ad buy in Pennsylvania “desperate.”

Today? Yeah, Obama’s buying ads in Pennsylvania.

Does this mean Romney is going to win Pennsylvania? No, but it does mean that it’s close enough that Team Obama couldn’t afford to let Romney air ads unopposed in Pennsylvania. And this news, coming just four days after it was reported that Team Obama is buying ads in Minnesota, is the best indication that Democrat insiders know that the president’s re-election is seriously endangered.

Liberals may be stupid, but they’re not so stupid they can’t understand what John Nolte’s headline means:

GALLUP: Romney Up 52-45% Among Early Voters

Dude. If Romney’s leading by SEVEN FREAKING POINTS in the early vote — and also leading by six points among voters who tell Gallup they plan to vote on Election Day, Nov. 6 — there is no way that Nate Silver can continue gazing at his Magic Forecasting Model™ and seeing a 72.9% chance of Obama being re-elected. He may continue telling that to his readers, but Nate cannot actually believe that.

Guess what is to blame for Frankenstorm?

No, not George W. Bush, no not the Republican Congress, not even the awful uniforms the Oregon Ducks play in. No, it is global warming, er climate change of course!

As if on cue, folks have come forward to claim that Hurricane Sandy, and the resulting Frankenstorm, are the result of “Climate Change.”  This completely  factual fictitious phenomena, of course, is the fault of humans, and, in particular, ones that live in western countries that have a capitalistic system.  So, it should not be a surprise when the story came from the completely unbiased NPR (National Progressive Radio).  So, let’s take a look at at least one comment from from midst of the blah-blah…

This is not to say progress isn’t being made. One thing that does seem clear is that warmer oceans (a la global warming) mean more evaporation, and that likely leads to storms with more and more dangerous rainfall of the kind we saw with Hurricane Irene last year. In addition, a paper published just last month, used records of storm surges going back to 1923 as a measure of hurricane activity. A strong correlation between warm years and strong hurricanes was seen. Thus if you warm the planet, you can expect more dangerous storms.

Shall we shred this?

1.  ”a la Global Warming?”  You mean the “Global Warming” that stopped in 1998?  For those of you that hadn’t read about it; the British (very quietly) released a report based on thousands of information sources.  That report showed that global temperatures had not risen since 1998!

2.  If you also recall, right after Katrina, we we told by the bestscientists political hacks available, we were going to get slammed with many more STRONGER hurricanes that were going to hit the continental US.  But, all out intrepid author has to cite were two CATEGORY ONE storms?  I mean, if warm water powers hurricanes, why weren’t Irene and Sandy category five MONSTERS?

Well, you get the idea.  But, no matter what the facts are, the claims of AGW, and now “Climate Change” will go on and on.

Bravo! Matt shreds it well. To add a bit more let me point out what has been blamed on climate change

Hot weather

Cold weather

Forest fires

Flooding due to heavy rains

Drought caused by too little rain

More hurricanes, unless there are ever fewer hurricanes, then that will be the fault of climate change too

The piss poor officiating in SEC football games

Those awful uniforms the Oregon Ducks wear

OK those last two I made up, I was testing you

Anything else you want to blame if you are Left of center reality, or if you actually like those Oregon Duck uniforms

To be pefectly fair I do like some of the Oregon Duck uniforms

Not THESE Oregon Duck uniforms mind you

I DO like these uniforms though

I should have been a mascot!

So, my Liberal co-worker asks me what I thought of the debate

You have to give it to Liberals, and my co-worker is no exception, they really do think they are so much brighter than Conservatives. When “John” asked me if I watched the debate, I detected a sense of arrogance in his voice. He said he was thrilled with Obama’s performance, and energy, and so on. He even hinted that Obama might have swayed lots of voters. I think I surprised “John” when I said I agreed with him. And that is true, I think Obama’s lies, yes they are and will remain lies no matter how many times he tells them, and his pathetic job performance will get Obama’s clock cleaned in November. “John”, of course, was miffed that anyone would support Romney over Obama. “John” then went on and on about Obama’s green jobs, and health care reform, and tax cuts for “working Americans”, and on and on.

See no matter how many times the truth is presented to “John” or any other Liberal they will delude themselves into believing what they want to think is true. “John” cared not one thing about massive increases in gas prices, because he still buys the green energy lies Obama spews. Never mind that billions and billions of tax dollars were thrown away at green energy companies that went under. Never mind that those jobs are gone. Never mind how high fuel prices, and food prices are crushing “working Americans”. Never mind that everything Obama is promising now he promised four years ago.  “John” and Liberals like him do not care about reality. They care about hearing what they want to hear. See “John” still thinks that Obamacare equals free health care for him, he still believes that everyone will be able to attend college for free too. Obama said so and that is enough for my deluded co-worker.

So, what did I think? Well I think Obama has worn out the class warfare rhetoric. Yes, we know Mr. President, we know, all you are saying is that the millionaires and billionaires should pay just a little more, good freaking grief! And please, if I hear that we need a balanced approach to reducing the deficit my head will explode. Even if I thought Obama truly believed that line, I would still only have to look at what Obama has done the last four years. He has driven our deficit to astronomical proportions. As I asked my co-worker earlier, if he hired someone to fix his roof, and if, after four years, his roof leaked far worse than ever, would he give those roofer another chance? He called that a simplistic analogy, and blamed Obama’s poor job performance on George W. Bush. Talk about simplistic.

“John” may never get it, but, I think many Americans are getting it. Barack Obama has been a miserable failure as president. He has no plans, well except to double down on the failed ideas he has already tried. He can blame Bush, blame Republicans, blame the rich, his supporters can blame racism, but in the end, Obama has one problem he cannot talk his way out of, his record.

Attention Liberals THIS is what real charity and compassion look like

President Bush does not stop at talking the talk on compassion and charity, he walks the walk. Unlike the Left, which thinks charity involves taxing the rich, and spreading the wealth around, and pursuing other ventures which involve equality of outcome, rather than equality of opportunity, President Bush actually helps people, with HIS money and HIS efforts. Donald Douglas has video

Here is more from Bush’s trip to Africa

Former President George W. Bush showed his compassionate side by spending Fourth of July at an orphanage in Zambia.

The 66-year-old and his wife Laura visited the Kasisi Children’s Home in Lusaka, one of the largest orphanages in the country.

Pictures released during Mr Bush’s one-week stay in Africa show him tenderly hugging a young boy and holding a baby while his wife looks on.

Much more at the link, including some great photos. I would love to show these to one Kanye West, the no-talent wannabe thug who said the Bush hates Black people.
