Obamaconomy Update: Surging Gun Sales Created 24,763 Jobs In 2015

Surging Gun Sales Created Nearly 25,000 Jobs In 2015 – Big Government

.

.
The gun industry added 24,763 jobs to the U.S. economy because of the unprecedented surge of gun sales in 2015, according to an estimate by the National Shooting Sports Foundation.

The economic gain from the “wages, revenues, benefits, and taxes” associated with gun industry jobs boosted the economy by nearly $50 billion and expanded the sector’s role in the national economy by roughly 15 percent compared to 2014, says the NSSF estimate.

According to PIX 11, the jobs added in 2015 were “manufacturing and retail jobs for guns, ammunition and related supplies, like hunting gear.” The best states for such jobs were “Texas, with about 21,386, followed by California, Florida, Pennsylvania, Ohio, North Carolina and Missouri.”

Breitbart News previously reported that the number of background checks for gun sales began breaking records in 2015 during the month of May.

Records were then broken in June, July, August, all the the way through March 2016, which was the 11th consecutive month of record background checks for gun sales. The streak for record background checks also included Black Friday 2015, which surpassed all previous Black Friday records. A staggering 185,345 background checks were performed on Black Friday alone.

According to FBI figures, a total of 23,141,970 background checks were performed in the U.S. during 2015. That is over 2,000,000 checks higher than the previous record of 21,093,273, set in 2013.

U.S. Has Allowed Two Immigrants To Enter Country For Every Job Created Since Year 2000

Two Immigrants For Every New Job Since 2000 – Daily Caller

The United States has accepted two new immigrants for each additional job created since 2000, according to federal data.

.

.
The data shows that 18 million legal and illegal immigrants settled in the United States from 2000 to 2015, while only 9.3 million additional jobs were created, according to the Center for Immigration Studies, which favors a reduced level of immigration.

After subtracting deaths, departures and retirements among the immigrants, the working-age population of immigrants has grown 12 million since 2000, according to data at the Bureau of Labor Standards, said Steve Camarota, the author of the CIS study.

That’s equal to three years of American births.

The population of Americans aged 16 to 65 also grew by 16 million from 2000 to 2014, Camarota told The Daily Caller.

That overall population of working-age immigrants and native-born Americans increased by 28 million, which is three times the number of jobs added since 2000.

The huge growth in the labor supply, and the slow growth of employment, debunks predictions by Democrats and business groups that immigrant labor spurs the economy enough to ensure that even Americans gain from the inflow.

Instead, the post-2000 flood of migrants and young Americans workers has swamped the slow-growing labor market, and is helping to drive down salaries and to boost values on Wall Street. “Median household income, on average, has fallen 9 percent since the turn of the century,” The New York Times reported in January, matching conventional economic predictions about supply and demand in the labor market.

The extra immigrants are mostly poor, drive up taxpayers’ costs for welfare spending and are crowding into classrooms and spiking state and local education budgets.

The public is increasingly hostile to extra immigration, even as respondents tell pollsters that they value the American tradition of immigration and also that they respect immigrants. The contrast between public statements and private voting was demonstrated in the Democratic stronghold of Oregon, where Americans voted in November by two-to-one to deny drivers licenses to illegals. A January 2015 Gallup poll showed that only seven percent of Americans want a higher rate of immigration, despite minimal media coverage about the scale of immigration.

One reason for the low support for additional immigration is public opposition to companies that hire migrants at lower pay than Americans. In part, migrants take lower wages because their pay will be effectively increased by the government’s subsequent award of citizenship to them. That’s a hugely valuable deferred payment to migrants, to their future children and to their parents, who can later gain residency and sign up for Medicare’s various aid programs.

American citizens, however, can’t get citizenship as deferred wages. Instead, they must ask employers to pay their full wages – except for welfare payments – which puts them at a disadvantage in the labor market.

The percentage of working-age, native-born Americans who are in the labor market has fallen from 76.0 percent in 2000, down to 71.5 percent in 2014, according to the CIS report. The trend has pushed 13 million additional Americans out of the workforce since 2000.

In November 2014, one in every five U.S. jobs was held by a foreign-born worker, up from one-in-six jobs in January 2010, according to federal data highlighted by the Center for Immigration Studies.

The resulting poverty and social conflict in the United States has spiked demand for big government aid programs since 2000. That demand helped Sen. Barack Obama claim the presidency in 2008 and 2012.

Obama and his allied Democrats have accelerated the process.

During Obama’s tenure, the normal immigrant inflow of 1 million per year has been boosted by the unprecedented distribution of roughly 7.4 million work-permits to illegals, refugees, tourists and other categories of foreigners.

That supply of 7.4 million workers is in addition to the roughly four million working-age immigrants among the 6 million legal immigrants who have arrived since 2009.

The combination of the 4 million and the 7.4 million has added roughly 11.4 million new foreign workers to the labor market since Obama was inaugurated in January 2009.

During the same period, roughly 26 million young Americans joined the workforce in search of the jobs needed to pay off college debts, to buy houses and to start families.

That means roughly one working-age immigrant has entered the labor market for every two or three young Americans who turn 18 during Obama’s six-year tenure.

Boehner’s Ineptitude Has Created A Leadership Vacuum In GOP (Jen Kuznicki)

Boehner’s Ineptitude Has Created A Leadership Vacuum In GOP – Jen Kuznicki

John Boehner is the visible leader of the Republican Party. As Speaker of the House, the only Republican-led institution in Washington DC right now, it is his duty to press a Republican agenda.

.

.
His office should be, at all times, rallying the base of the party in order to create a groundswell of support for future electoral gains. Instead, he is personally, actively working to diminish, purge, and destroy those who do not fall in lock-step behind him.

Because of his growing and now public defiance of those wishing to adhere to the Constitution and the basic conservative principles that the Republican Party platform espouses, he has created a leadership vacuum that is being filled by Senate Conservatives.

While categorizing several conservative groups and think-tanks as misleading and interested only in profiteering from opposing viewpoints, Boehner has misjudged the purpose and focus of conservative groups who in general, are amenable to Republican ideals, and in doing so, truly damaged the effectiveness of a unified party.

Last year, after the election was over, Boehner said that he basically had no interest in fighting with President Obama on a host of issues, noting that, “The American people have spoken.” It was then that many conservatives began to have serious issues with a Speaker of the opposing party, unwilling to oppose. But this latest very public chastisement and outright mocking is a bit over the top, and one wonders if it is partnered with the focus on 2016. With the rise of the loud and brash New Jersey Governor, Chris Christie as the darling of the beltway establishment, perhaps Boehner is trying out a Christie-like YouTube sensation, attacking conservatives instead of teachers or boardwalk passersby.

The foolishness of attacking the conservative grassroots of the party is plain to see. Unfortunately for Boehner and those opposed to the grassroots of their own party, they are, through public admonishment, causing a strengthening rebellion that will topple them, if the rebels remain focused on taking control of the party.

The various Tea-Party-like groups that Boehner attacked will become more effective and get more followers because the momentum is on the side of those who are truly concerned about the future of the country. Those following Boehner are going to see lackluster support from the grassroots.

In the end, Boehner’s rant against conservative groups will weaken support for the Republican Party. Conservative Democrats, Independents and Conservative Republicans comprised the coalition that Reagan was able to inspire and mobilize with a campaign based upon core principles and bold conservative positions, and won the hearts and minds of the nation in two landslides. They now are coalescing around conservative principles and values and are creating a strong resurgence to fight for and maintain the freedoms that make America unique. These real people mean business, and the business is saving the nation from ruin. Those deemed unwilling to fight that fight will not be fought for, even if the stakes are two years of dictatorial control.

The Tea Party and all of its allies are not going away – they are getting stronger, and more effective.

Bold leadership displayed by the likes of Ted Cruz and other Senate Conservatives are winning the trust of the average, patriotic American, and Boehner has just made sure that the people he openly mocks receive the adrenaline that only enthusiastic support can give.

In short, if Boehner’s goal was to diminish the Tea Party, he has erred catastrophically.
