Greta Thunberg apologizes after saying politicians should be put ‘against the wall’
Greta Thunberg apologized Saturday after saying that politicians should be put “against the wall” after some critics alleged that the teen climate activist was advocating for violence against officials.
“Yesterday I said we must hold our leaders accountable and unfortunately said “put them against the wall”. That’s Swenglish: “att ställa någon mot väggen” (to put someone against the wall) means to hold someone accountable,” Thunberg tweeted.
“That’s what happens when you improvise speeches in a second language. But of course I apologise if anyone misunderstood this. I can not enough express the fact that I – as well as the entire school strike movement- are against any possible form of violence. It goes without saying but I say it anyway,” she continued.
Oh those loony, funny Marxists, always saying zany things that show how they really feel, then trying to cover their tracks

On premiere of ‘Desus & Mero’ show, Ocasio-Cortez explains ‘farting cows’ reference in ‘Green New Deal’
U.S. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., defended the Green New Deal after the recent rollout of the New York Democrat’s policy proposal got a lot of attention over “farting cows.”
In an appearance Thursday night on the premiere of Showtime’s late-night “Desus & Mero”show, the comedy pair hosts of the program asked the freshman congresswoman why she thought the initial reaction focused on “cow farts.”
“In the deal, what we talk about, and it’s true, is that we need to take a look at factory farming, you know? Period. It’s wild,” Ocasio-Cortez said. “And so it’s not to say you get rid of agriculture, it’s not to say we’re gonna force everybody to go vegan or anything crazy like that. But it’s to say, ‘Listen, we gotta address factory farming. Maybe we shouldn’t be eating a hamburger for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Like, let’s keep it real.”
Also, she’s admitting that the farting cows thing was meant to be in the GND resolution. It was yanked out after being laughed at, of course.
“But we have to take a look at everything,” Ocasio-Cortez continued, “and what we need to realize about climate change is about every choice that we make in our lives, you know?”
Ah, there it is, the poison pill of Leftism taking a look at “everything”
And therein lies the problem with the Cult of Climastrology and Modern Socialism: they want the Government involved in everything. I’d say “right now it’s farting cows. Next week it could be your use of natural gas in your house and the energy efficiency of your home”, but, they’re already coming after that.
Oh John Kerry H/T Moonbattery
John Kerry’s moonbat antics are not always as serious as illegally colludingwith America’s most devoted enemy, Iran. Sometimes they are even good for a laugh, as when he suggested suing Donald Trump over lives lost due to severe weather, presumably on the grounds that Trump could stop hurricanes but chooses not to, no doubt out of sheer malice.
What used to be called acts of God are now apparently acts of Trump.
Seriously, Hanoi John is that insane. Monday evening at the Carnegie Center for International Peace he barked,
“I wish I could find legal standing to bring a case against Donald Trump for the lives that will be lost and the property that will be damaged and the billions of dollars because of his decision on climate change. This is life and death.”
Stupid on steroids
Dissent must be punished!
Calls to punish global warming skepticism as a criminal offense have surged in the aftermath of Hurricanes Harvey and Irma, but it hasn’t discouraged climate scientists like Judith Curry.
A retired Georgia Tech professor, she argued on her Climate Etc. website that Irma, which hit Florida as a Category 4 hurricane on Saturday, was fueled in large part by “very weak” wind shear and that the hurricane intensified despite Atlantic Ocean temperatures that weren’t unusually warm.
That is the kind of talk that could get policymakers who heed her research hauled before the justice system, if some of those in the climate change movement have their way.
“Climate change denial should be a crime,” declared the Sept. 1 headline in the Outline. Mark Hertsgaard argued in a Sept. 7 article in the Nation, titled “Climate Denialism Is Literally Killing Us,” that “murder is murder” and “we should punish it as such.”
Remember when dissent WAS patriotism? Yeah, not so much anymore
E.P.A. to Give Dissenters a Voice on Climate, No Matter the Consensus
William Teach knows what they mean by consensus
Once you’ve mentioned consensus, you’ve admitted this is not about science, but politics.
Scott Pruitt, the head of the Environmental Protection Agency, plans to convene a team of researchers to test the scientific premise of human-caused climate change, he told coal industry executives on Thursday.
Speaking at a board meeting of the American Coalition for Clean Coal Electricity, a lobbying group for coal companies and their industry allies, Mr. Pruitt said his staff had already begun preparations for a “red team-blue team” exercise to challenge mainstream climate science, according to two people who attended the meeting but were not authorized to speak about it publicly.
But what of the ever so settled science? What will become of that narrative if it is challenged? It will either stand on its own merits or fall to dust and ashes. The fact that the Cult of Climate Change is so unwilling to participate in open debate, is telling.
