Trump Directs Pentagon To Create ‘Space Force’ – The Hill
.

.
President Trump on Monday announced that he’s directing the Pentagon to create a “space force” as the Defense Department’s sixth military service branch.

“When it comes to defending America, it is not enough to merely have an American presence in space. We must have American dominance in space,” Trump said during a meeting with members of the National Space Council (NSC).

“I’m hereby directing the Department of Defense and Pentagon to immediately begin the process necessary to establish a space force as the sixth branch of the armed forces. That’s a big statement. We are going to have the Air Force and we are going to have the Space Force, separate but equal.”…

Alleged CIA Leaker Charged With Disclosing Classified Information – New York Post

Manhattan federal prosecutors on Monday slapped a former CIA software engineer – who was already in prison on child porn charges – with a slew of new charges accusing him of the theft of classified information.

Joshua Adam Schulte, 29, was hit with a 13-count superseding indictment Monday that accuses him with everything from the theft of government property to copyright infringement to obstruction of justice.

The feds say Schulte illegally leaked classified information, including national defense information that he believed could be used “to the injury of the United States and the advantage of a foreign nation.” He faces up to 135 years in prison if convicted.

Schulte has been in Manhattan’s Metropolitan Correctional Center since last year after the feds raided his NYC apartment on suspicion that he had leaked classified documents to Wikileaks in what has been described as one of the worst leaks in CIA history…

Bush-Appointed Judge Strikes Down Kansas Voter ID Law – Daily Caller

A federal judge in Kansas City struck down a state law Monday requiring Kansas voters to show proof of citizenship before casting ballots.

U.S. District Judge Julie Robinson, a George W. Bush appointee, found the statute unlawfully burdens ballot access for eligible voters, in violation of the National Voter Registration Act (NVRA) and the Constitution.

“The court determines that the magnitude of potentially disenfranchised voters impacted by the law and its enforcement scheme cannot be justified by the scant evidence of noncitizen voter fraud before and after the law was passed, by the need to ensure the voter rolls are accurate, or by the state’s interest in promoting public confidence in elections,” the judge wrote.

Robinson maintained that prohibiting eligible citizens from voting because they lack proper identification did more to damage public confidence in the electoral process than voter fraud…

Firefighters Suspended For Making Porn Videos At Firehouse – Circa

Two firefighters in Ohio have been suspended for making pornographic videos at a firehouse.

Akron officials say Arthur Dean and Deann Eller were both placed on administrative leave on Monday while the city launched an investigation into the matter.

Fire Chief Clarence Tucker says someone told a firefighter last week about the acts possibly being performed on city property.

The firefighter reported it to his supervisor, who then told the chief.

Tucker and Mayor Dan Horrigan said in a joint statement that Dean and Eller did not work at the same fire station, but were known to be in a long-term relationship.

Officials have not identified the firehouse where the videos took place.

A spokesman for the local firefighters’ union says Eller and Dean have no comment…

Venezuela Forced To Shut Down Oil Production As Operations Fall Apart – OilPrice

Every week the crisis in Venezuela takes a turn for the worse.

There are now signs that its oil industry is entering a dangerous new phase. Argus Media reports that Venezuela has begun to “proactively shut in oil production to cope with nearly replete terminal storage, further accelerating an output decline and bringing the OPEC country closer to the psychological barrier of 1mn b/d.”

Venezuela’s oil production fell to an average of 1.392 million barrels per day in May, down another 42,000 bpd from a month earlier, according to OPEC’s secondary sources. However, with the crisis in Venezuela spiraling out of control at a horrific pace, the numbers from May might as well be a year ago.

The May numbers don’t reflect the full ramifications of having to deal with inadequate port capacity, after PDVSA diverted operations to Venezuela from its Caribbean island refineries and storage facilities following the attempt by ConocoPhillips to take control of them…

Audi CEO Rupert Stadler Arrested In Germany As Volkswagen Emissions Scandal Lingers – USA Today

The CEO of Audi was arrested in Germany on suspicion of his involvement in the Volkswagen emissions scandal.

The German investigation ensnared Audi boss Rupert Stadler, who was widely considered a subject of the probe but had so far survived the fallout from the scandal despite questions over the VW luxury brand’s role.

Stadler, who was accused by Munich prosecutors of collusion, becomes the first person in the VW executive suite to spend time behind bars in connection with the scandal.

But he’s not the first high-level executive to face accusations of involvement. Former VW CEO Martin Winterkorn was previously indicted in the U.S. on felony charges of conspiracy and wire fraud, but he has eluded arrest because he has not traveled to the U.S. since the Justice Department filed charges…

113 Politicians Have Been Killed During This Campaign Season In Mexico – PVDN

Gunmen shot and killed a mayor running for re-election in Mexico on Thursday, the second murder of a politician in a week after a candidate running for federal office was shot in the back of the head while taking a selfie with a supporter.

At least 113 politicians have been killed in the bloodiest election campaign in Mexico’s modern history, and the violence appears to be intensifying in the final weeks before the July 1 nationwide election.

Political assassinations have rocked the electoral season leading up to July 1, when voters will decide over 3,000 down-ballot seats and elect a new president.

Widespread disenchantment with the ruling Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI) over record levels of violence, political corruption and sluggish economic growth has helped propel leftist Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador to lead voter preferences for the presidency…

After Three Decades, Couple Prevails Over Union – Washington Free Beacon

When David and Shirley Pirlott filed a federal labor complaint against Teamsters Local 75 on Nov. 8, 1987, the day before the Berlin Wall fell, they did not imagine they would have to wait 30 years to resolve the dispute.

The Pirlotts were finally vindicated in March 2018 when the Wisconsin-based Teamsters local mailed them separate checks of about $3,000 for failing to allow them to opt out of union dues.

The case spanned five presidencies, dozens of National Labor Relations Board members, and numerous appearances before the D.C. Court of Appeals. In the time it took for the NLRB to issue its decision, the Pirlotts welcomed six grandchildren and four great grandchildren to the world, and Local 75 no longer existed having merged into Local 662.

Child Border Crossers Have Higher Standard Of Living Than 13 Million Impoverished American Children – Breitbart

Migrant children who cross into the United States either alone or with adults have a higher standard of living once they are put into federal care than the more than 13 million American children who are living in poverty across the country.

In Fiscal Year 2017, the federal government referred nearly 41,000 unaccompanied minor border crossers to the Unaccompanied Alien Children program which is facilitated by the Office of Refugee Resettlement.

Data provided to Breitbart News reveals that each unaccompanied minor costs the federal government about $34,660 annually. This is a higher standard of living per child than the roughly 13 million American children who continue to live below the U.S. poverty line.

In 2016, there were about 13.2 million American children under the age of 18 living in poverty. These are U.S. children, for example, whose parents or guardians – in a household of four – earn less than $24,500 a year…

Here’s The Rundown On The Corrupt Obama-Appointed Judge Who Tossed Manafort In Jail – Joe Hoft

It sure seems like every Obama appointed judge is a far left radical who puts their own distorted interpretation of reality ahead of the U.S. Constitution. In this respect, U.S. District Judge Amy Berman Jackson is a case study. This past week she again showed that she puts politics before the law.

Her actions with Paul Manafort alone are cause for her to be removed or impeached.

We reported two months ago and again earlier this month, that Obama appointed liberal activist Judge, Amy Berman Jackson, was assigned to the most important court case in U.S. history.

Sadly, Judge Jackson has a horrible far left record on the bench. In 2013 Judge Jackson rejected arguments from the Catholic Church that Obamacare’s requirements that employers provide cost free coverage to contraceptive services is contrary to their religious beliefs and violated their religious and free speech freedoms. This was overturned by the Supreme Court…

But instead of using propellants like a typical launch would, SpinLaunch would slingshot them into space using a novel catapult technology.

The FBI will make its employees undergo bias training, Director Christopher A. Wray promised Thursday, after a devastating report found the bureau made bad decisions, has a culture of leaking sensitive information, and may have skewed campaign-season decisions because of bias.

New text messages released by the Justice Department inspector general showing conversations between Deputy Assistant Director Peter Strzok and paramour FBI lawyer Lisa Page suggest a deep anti-Trump sentiment.

In one exchange, Ms. Page wanted reassurance that then-candidate Donald Trump couldn’t win the election. Mr. Strzok replied: “No. No he’s not. We’ll stop it.”

FBI Agent Peter Strzok In Text To Lisa Page: ‘We’ll Stop’ Trump From Becoming President – National Review

FBI agent Peter Strzok, who was intimately involved in the Hillary Clinton email investigation and the probe of Russian election-meddling, vowed to “stop” Donald Trump from reaching the White House in an August 2016 text message to FBI lawyer Lisa Page, the Washington Post reports.

“[Trump’s] not ever going to become president, right? Right?!” Page wrote to Strzok in a text message set to be released Thursday as part of a Department of Justice inspector general’s report.

Strzok was removed from Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s team in August after the inspector general uncovered the text messages, and Page has since left the bureau. Bestselling Author Fired For Mocking Publisher’s Diversity Policy – James Delingpole

Publishing giant Penguin Random House has announced that its authors are no longer to be chosen on literary merit but according to a politically correct quota system “taking into account ethnicity, gender, sexuality, social mobility and disability”.

Shriver (who, despite her misleading first name, is a woman) is the American-born, UK-resident novelist best known for her bestseller We Need To Talk About Kevin. She also has a column in the Spectator which this week she used to mock Penguin Random House’s new diversity policy.

Supreme Court Rules Minnesota Law Banning Political Apparel At Polls Is Illegal – Washington Times

The Supreme Court on Thursday rejected a Minnesota law banning voters from wearing political apparel to the polls, saying it was too draconian in stifling Americans’ First Amendment rights.

The 7-2 decision said it may be possible for states to restrict stridently political T-shirts and buttons, but the justices said Minnesota didn’t justify why its law needed to be so broad.

Minnesota’s ban covered any “political badge, political button, or other political insignia” a voter might wear. Andrew Cilek, a state voter, challenged the law after he was told he couldn’t vote in 2010 because he was wearing a T-shirt with the emblem of a local tea party group and had a button asking for poll workers to check his ID.

Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr., writing the majority opinion, said the law left it up to poll workers to decide what was political, creating the potential for conflicting or mischievous decisions over whether something is political…

Retail Sales Boom: Biggest Rise In Six Months, Double Expectations – Breitbart

U.S. retail sales in May far exceeded forecasts, rising by the most in six-months and signaling faster economic growth.

The retail “control group” sales, which excludes some of the more volatile numbers, rose 0.5 percent, which also exceeded forecasts.

The results likely reflect the high levels of consumer confidence, a very strong labor market, and lower taxes. The unexpected strength in the control group, which excludes gas stations sales, indicates that higher fuel prices have not stolen consumer demand from other sectors of the economy…

Merkel’s weekend decision to veto a plan by her interior minister aimed at controlling and reducing illegal migration, and the minister’s refusal to back down, has already shattered an uneasy truce between conservative backers and opponents of her liberal asylum policy, just months after a tenuous coalition government was formed.

As a result, on Thursday Merkel faced a showdown within her conservative camp over the the future of immigration policy that threatens her political future…

Federal Reserve Raises Interest Rates – BBC
.

.
The U.S. Federal Reserve has voted to raise the target for its benchmark interest rate by 0.25%, citing solid economic expansion and job gains. The widely-anticipated decision will lift the target for the central bank’s benchmark rate to 1.75%-2%, the highest level since 2008.

A majority of Fed officials also forecast two more rate rises this year, one more than previously predicted.

The rise is part of the U.S. recovery following the global financial crisis. It is the seventh time the bank has raised rates since 2015.

The tighter policy reflects expectations that US growth and inflation will prove stronger than officials anticipated in March, while the unemployment rate continues to fall…

Plan To Split California Into 3 States Earns Spot On November Ballot – Los Angel4es Times

California’s 168-year run as a single entity, hugging the continent’s edge for hundreds of miles and sprawling east across mountains and desert, could come to an end next year – as a controversial plan to split the Golden State into three new jurisdictions qualified Tuesday for the Nov. 6 ballot.

If a majority of voters who cast ballots agree, a long and contentious process would begin for three separate states to take the place of California, with one primarily centered around Los Angeles and the other two divvying up the counties to the north and south. Completion of the radical plan – far from certain, given its many hurdles at judicial, state and federal levels – would make history.

It would be the first division of an existing U.S. state since the creation of West Virginia in 1863.

“Three states will get us better infrastructure, better education and lower taxes,” Tim Draper, the Silicon Valley venture capitalist who sponsored the ballot measure, said in an email…

Special Counsel Robert Mueller is scrambling to limit pretrial evidence handed over to a Russian company he indicted in February over alleged meddling in the 2016 U.S. election, according to Bloomberg.

Mueller asked a Washington federal Judge for a protective order that would prevent the delivery of copious evidence to lawyers for Concord Management and Consulting, LLC, one of three Russian firms and 13 Russian nationals.

North Korea Apparently Destroys Missile Test Facility – Breitbart

After his summit with dictator Kim Jong-un on Tuesday, President Trump indicated the North Koreans are dismantling another facility important to their development of nuclear missiles following the purported shutdown of the Punggye-ri nuclear bomb testing site.

Analysts believe this was a reference to the missile engine testing site at Kusong, which appears to be undergoing demolition based on satellite imagery.

North Korean watchdog site 38 North reported last week that the Iha-ri Driver Training and Test Facility, as it is formally known, was the only known facility for testing the launch system for Pyongyang’s latest generation of land-based long-range ballistic missiles.

The launch canister and ejection system is an essential component of mobile missile systems, providing the ability to prep and launch the enormous missiles quickly.

North Korea was also working on solid-fuel rocket engines, which can be launched more quickly and transported more easily than liquid-fueled missiles…

Trump Nominated For Nobel Peace Prize By Norwegian Politicians – Zero Hedge

The summit in Singapore has made U.S. President Donald Trump “a man of peace,” according to two Norwegian parliamentary representatives (from the Frp party), and as NRK reports, they have nominated him for the most gifted award of all of them.

Representatives Christian Tybring-Gjedde (Frp) and Per-Willy Amundsen (Frp) believe it qualifies Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize.

“What’s happening now is historical. A process is underway to ensure world peace in the future. It’s a fragile process, but we must of course do what we can to help this process bring good results. I think that we can do by sending a clear signal by giving Trump the peace prize.”

And amid all the left’s dismay at just what was agreed, the two Norwegian parliamentarians, however, do not believe that a peace-winning nomination is too early.

The raccoon, who became stranded on the ledge of a building in St. Paul, climbed a 25-story tower and turned into an internet celebrity overnight. The saga started Monday, when the animal was spotted in a shallow recess of a wall on a Town Square building, Minnesota Public Radio’s KNOW-FM reports.

Shawn Moody Wins Maine GOP Gubernatorial Primary – Maine Public

Republican businessman Shawn Moody won Tuesday’s ranked-choice voting primary in the race to succeed Maine’s firebrand Gov. Paul LePage, while no clear majority winner had emerged in the Democratic primary.

The founder of a string of auto repair shops won a majority of the Republican vote, meaning there’s no need for additional rounds of voting under the voting system used in a statewide primary for the first time in U.S. history.

If the Democratic result holds when all of the votes are counted, there would be additional rounds of vote tabulations next week, as election officials eliminate last-place candidates and reallocate votes. The winner of that race may not be known for at least a week.

“I think Mainers have spoken,” Moody said. “They want a businessperson, an outsider. And they’re not ready to turn Augusta back over to the politicians.”…

Democrat Tom Steyer Caught Using More Felons For Renewable Energy Campaign – Daily Caller

A Tom Steyer-led campaign to push renewable energy on Arizona electricity customers is hiring more convicted felons than originally anticipated, a discovery that endangers residents and violates state law.

A heated battle is underway to reform Arizona’s energy mix. Clean Energy for a Healthy Arizona is an environmentalist campaign working on the ground to require utilities in the state obtain 50 percent of their electricity from renewable sources, such as wind and solar, by 2030. To make this is a reality, the green energy campaign must amend the state constitution. Supporters are currently working to collect 225,963 valid voters’ signatures by July in order to have a referendum on the 2018 ballot.

However, not everything has run smoothly for the renewables campaign.

Slimeball Andrew McCabe Sues FBI, Justice Department And Inspector General – Washington Times

Former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe filed a lawsuit Tuesday against the FBI, the Justice Department and its inspector general, alleging the Trump administration violated procedures when it fired him in March just hours before his retirement.

In the 36-page complaint filed in federal court in the District of Columbia, his attorneys argue that the Justice Department is refusing to hand over documents relating to the policies and procedures related to Mr. McCabe’s dismissal because it fears further litigation.

The Justice Department cited “lack of candor” as a reason for its dismissal of Mr. McCabe on March 16, just before his scheduled March 18 retirement. Mr. McCabe had worked at the FBI for more than two decades, but the firing upended Mr. McCabe’s ability to collect his benefits and pension early.

Redskins Replacement Players From 1987 To Get Super Bowl Rings – Washington Times

David Windham never thought of himself as a “scab.” He just wanted to play football.

When NFL players went on strike in 1987, Windham was one of the “replacements” who crossed the picket lines for a chance to chase a football dream. For three weeks, Windham and the other replacement Redskins practiced at the team facility, wore the burgundy and gold on game days and played in front of the RFK Stadium crowd.

The replacement Redskins went 3-0 during the strike, then returned to obscurity when Doug Williams, Art Monk and the other regulars came back and put together their run to a Super Bowl title. Aided by the replacements’ winning streak, the regular Redskins cruised into the playoffs and on to a championship – a debt the team is acknowledging with a ceremony Tuesday in Ashburn to present Super Bowl rings to the long-overlooked contributors.

After the strike, Windham fared better than most, spending the rest of the season as part of the Redskins’ reserve squad…

This Could Be The End Of ObamaCare – Betsy McCaughey

ObamaCare could soon be history, thanks to a lawsuit filed by 20 states that claim the Affordable Care Act is no longer constitutional. U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions is so sure the states are right that he’s folding his cards. In a rare move, the Justice Department won’t defend a federal law.

The lawsuit argues that last December, when Congress repealed the penalty for not having ObamaCare insurance, it removed the only constitutional grounds for ObamaCare.

Remember that in 2012, the first time the constitutionality of the health law was challenged, Chief Justice John Roberts slyly called the penalty for not having insurance a “tax” and justified a 5-4 ruling in favor of the law by arguing that the U.S. Constitution gives the federal government the power to tax.

Voila, the tax is gone, and with it the flimsy constitutional underpinning of the ObamaCare scheme…

Austria To Shut Down Mosques, Expel Foreign-Funded Imams – Reuters

Austria’s right-wing government plans to shut seven mosques and could expel dozens of imams in what it said was “just the beginning” of a push against radical Islam and foreign funding of religious groups that Turkey condemned as racist.

The coalition government, an alliance of conservatives and the far right, came to power soon after Europe’s migration crisis on promises to prevent another influx and restrict benefits for new immigrants and refugees.

The moves follow a “law on Islam”, passed in 2015, which banned foreign funding of religious groups and created a duty for Muslim organizations to have “a positive fundamental view towards (Austria’s) state and society”.

“Political Islam’s parallel societies and radicalizing tendencies have no place in our country,” said Chancellor Sebastian Kurz, who, in a previous job as minister in charge of integration, steered the Islam bill into law…

The House of Representatives voted 210-206 Thursday night to claw back $15 billion in appropriated spending, making good on the lead of President Donald Trump, who submitted the rescission request last month.

“The administration applauds today’s passage of H.R. 3, the Spending Cuts to Expired and Unnecessary Programs Act, in the U.S. House of Representatives and urges the Senate to quickly act on the legislation,” White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said in a statement released after the House vote Thursday night.

The measure cancels expired funding from the Children’s Health Insurance Program, or CHIP, among other federal programs and will have a “$1 billion or so impact on the government’s budget deficit,” the Associated Press reported…

Dirty McCabe Interrogated Mike Flynn For Russia Hoax At Same Time Flynn Was Witness Against McCabe In Sex Discrimination Case – Gateway Pundit

Senator Charles Grassley (R-IA) sent a letter this week to Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstien who is currently leading the Department of Justice. As we have previously reported numerous times Jeff Sessions is still hiding under his desk.

In the letter Charles Grassley pointed out to Rosenstein that General Mike Flynn was a witness against Andrew McCabe in a sex abuse case when McCabe came to interview him. McCabe later reportedly altered the 302 interview reports and Mike Flynn was forced out of the Trump Campaign.

Additionally, former Director McCabe was fired for lack of candor regarding a leak to the Wall Street Journal, and Lt. General Flynn was an adverse witness in a pending sexual discrimination case against Mr. McCabe at the time Mr. McCabe was supervising a criminal inquiry targeting Lt. General Flynn.

Judicial Watch today released 16 pages of Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) documents related to the June 2016 tarmac meeting between former Attorney General Loretta Lynch and former President Bill Clinton showing involvement of the FBI’s former Chief of Counterespionage Peter Strzok.

The new documents were obtained by Judicial Watch in response to an October 2016 Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit (Judicial Watch v. U.S. Department of Justice (No. 1:16-cv-02046)) filed after the Justice Department failed to comply with a July 7, 2016, FOIA request seeking:

You’re Fired: Mick Mulvaney Cans Entire CFPB Advisory Board – Townhall

It’s an agency that you wouldn’t think would be in the news much, but the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau became another front in the war against the Trump administration for the Left.

Trump Signs VA Law To Provide Veterans More Private Health Care Choices – USA Today

President Trump signed legislation Wednesday paving the way for a major overhaul of the Department of Veterans Affairs and expanded access for veterans to VA-funded care in the private sector.

The measure, which passed both chambers of Congress last month with overwhelming bipartisan support, delivers on a key campaign promise for Trump, who pledged to provide veterans with more non-VA health care choices.

“What a beautiful word that is – choice – and freedom to our amazing veterans,” Trump said at the signing ceremony. “All during the campaign I’d go out and say, ‘why can’t they just go see a doctor instead of standing in line for weeks and weeks and weeks?’ Now they can go see a doctor.”

Working out the details of exactly how and when that will happen is now up to agency officials tasked with drawing up regulations under the law…

Feds Spend $583,211 Fighting Obesity By Making People Take The Bus – Washington Free Beacon

The National Institutes of Health is spending over $500,000 for a study that aims to fight obesity by making people take the bus. The study, being conducted by Texas A&M University, will let residents of El Paso take the bus for free to see if walking to the bus stop and riding the bus will help them lose weight.

Taxpayer-funded researchers call taking the bus to lose weight “innovative.”

“Obesity, which poses a major risk factor for the onset or exacerbation of many chronic conditions in the U.S (e.g. cancer, diabetes, and heart disease), calls for innovative intervention approaches to promote physical activity as a major intervention strategy,” the grant for the project states.

“Although a promising new form of transit that combines the capacity, speed, and reliability of a rail transit with the flexibility and cost advantage of a conventional bus system, Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) has never been rigorously studied for its health-promoting aspects.”…

8 Reasons To Still Hate Obamacare – Stephen Moore

Remember Obamacare? The fight is far from over on the future of the Obama-era health insurance overhaul.

Republicans are making a list-ditch effort this year to turn the program and the money over to the state. This isn’t full Obamacare repeal, but would make a world of sense because states would be free to experiment and find ways to reduce costs and provide better services.

Democrats are adopting a new political spin, which is that everything is fine with Obamacare. They claim that the only reason premium and deductible costs keep exploding is because President Donald Trump repealed the individual mandate tax – which was nothing more than an unfair penalty on low-income families that can’t afford the high cost of the health law’s mandates.

But if Trump is to blame, why were the costs skyrocketing two years before Trump even entered the Oval Office?…

Four years later, the four men, or their estates, were awarded $102 million by a federal judge in Boston for their wrongful decades-long imprisonment due to FBI misconduct.

Mueller ordered the Boston FBI office to answer a request to him from the Massachusetts Advisory Board of Pardons for an “official version” of the imprisonment of the four men for a gangland murder in Chelsea MA in March 1965…

Trump Disinvites America-Hating NFL Team From White House – The Hill

President Trump on Monday abruptly announced that Super Bowl champions the Philadelphia Eagles would not visit the White House on Tuesday, citing the team’s participation in national anthem protests.

“The Philadelphia Eagles are unable to come to the White House with their full team to be celebrated tomorrow. They disagree with their President because he insists that they proudly stand for the National Anthem, hand on heart, in honor of the great men and women of our military and the people of our country,” Trump said in a statement.

“The Eagles wanted to send a smaller delegation, but the 1,000 fans planning to attend the event deserve better,” he added.

Trump said Eagles fans are still invited to the White House “to be part of a different type of ceremony – one that will honor our great country, pay tribute to the heroes who fight to protect it, and loudly and proudly play the National Anthem.”…

Alex Jones Chases Bernie Sanders Through Airport: ‘Where You Running, Bro?’ – Washington Times

Campaign rhetoric from 2016 came back to haunt Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders this week during a run-in with Info Wars’ Alex Jones in Los Angeles International Airport.

One of America’s most famous socialists looked stunned and confused on Monday as the face of Info Wars interrogated him on past comments about poor white people. A perturbed aide to the lawmaker unsuccessfully attempted to run interference during the spectacle, which was broadcast on YouTube later in the day.

“Well if it isn’t old Bernie Sanders,” Mr. Jones said before the aide interjected, “Dude, no. Come on. Not right now.”

“Why did you say white people didn’t know what it was like to be poor?” Mr. Jones asked…

Supreme Court Sides With Colorado Baker Who Refused To Make Wedding Cake For Same-Sex Couple – Fox News

The Supreme Court ruled Monday in favor of a Colorado baker who refused to make a wedding cake for a same-sex couple, in one of the most closely watched cases of the term.

In a 7-2 decision, the justices set aside a Colorado court ruling against the baker – while stopping short of deciding the broader issue of whether a business can refuse to serve gay and lesbian people. The opinion was penned by Justice Anthony Kennedy, who is often the swing justice in tight cases.

The narrow ruling here focused on what the court described as anti-religious bias on the Colorado Civil Rights Commission when it ruled against baker Jack Phillips.

“The Commission’s hostility was inconsistent with the First Amendment’s guarantee that our laws be applied in a manner that is neutral toward religion,” Kennedy wrote in his majority opinion.

The court said the broader issue, though, “must await further elaboration.”…

In Latest Privacy Scandal, Facebook Gave Apple, Amazon And Others Unprecedented Access To User Data – Zero Hedge

Facebook has been giving user data to at least 60 major device manufacturers over the last decade – including Apple, Amazon, BlackBerry, Microsoft and Samsung – as part of a data-sharing partnership program which allowed the companies to integrate various features such as messaging and “like” buttons into their products.

The data-sharing agreement, reported Sunday evening by the New York Times, allowed manufacturers to access information on relationship status, calendar events, political affiliations and religion, among other things. An Apple spokesman, for example, said that the company relied on private access to Facebook data to allow users to post on the social network without opening the Facebook app, among other things…

New Italian Interior Minister To Migrants: ‘Pack Your Bags’ – Breitbart

Italy’s new hardline interior minister Matteo Salvini will be in Sicily Sunday to push the anti-immigration platform that propelled him to power at one of the country’s main landing points for refugees.

The head of the far-right League is on the road seeking to rally support for his party’s candidates in municipal elections later this month, as part of a broader effort to boost the traditionally secessionist party’s profile in the country’s poorer south.

But immigration is Salvini’s primary bugbear and the newly minted deputy prime minister in Italy’s populist coalition government has added a stop in migration hotspot Pozzallo.

The port town in Sicily’s south is on the front line: one of the main places where military and humanitarian boats bring refugees fleeing war, persecution and famine across North Africa and the Middle East…

It’s Now Against The Law In California To Shower And Do Laundry On The Same Day – True Pundit

Governor Jerry Brown is retiring but not before he passes a few draconian laws as parting gifts for California. Two bills were signed into law on Thursday of last week to “help California be better prepared for future droughts and the effects of climate change.”

The mandatory water conservation standards will be permanent, according to their wording, and not just for use in times of crisis. To make a long story short, now that these bills are law, it’s illegal to take a shower and do a load of laundry in the same day because you’ll exceed your “ration.”

Here’s the wording of the new laws:

Senate Bill 606 establishes a “governing body” to oversee all water suppliers, both private and public and will require extensive paperwork from those utility companies.

Assembly Bill 1668 is where it gets personal. This establishes limits on indoor water usage for every person in California and the amount allowed will decrease even further over the next 12 years…

Long Island Man Arrested For Possessing 6 Million Child Porn Pictures And Videos – Law & Crime

A Long Island man has been charged and arrested after six million pictures and videos of child pornography and erotica in various formats were allegedly discovered in his home.

David Johnson of Amityville, 58, was in possession of the largest collection of child pornography discovered in Suffolk County, totaling to to 6.6 million stored across 24 devices, prosecutors said. Suffolk County District Attorney Timothy Sini said the images were filed by race, age, and various characteristics and ranged from erotica to videos of child rape.

“This is very important to emphasize,” Sini said, “The practice, the crime of possessing child pornography directly fuels the rape of children.”

Johnson was caught after he was reported to authorities for suspicious behavior, as he lived near an elementary school. As reported by the Patch, a concerned citizen obtained an Mp3 player with some of these images on it in April of 2018 and turned it over to the authorities.

It appears as if Johnson himself had no involvement with any of the depicted children…

Leftist Nightmare Update: New Jersey Imposes State Obamacare-Style Individual Mandate – Daily Signal

The controversial individual mandate was repealed as a federal requirement as part of the Republican Congress’ tax reform bill passed in December and signed into law by President Donald Trump.

The federal mandate will go away next year. With enactment of its legislation, New Jersey becomes the first state to replace it with a state mandate.

Harvard Study Explodes Puerto Rico Death Rate To Bash Trump – Daniel Greenfield

Ever since Hurricane Maria hit, there was one thing that the left wanted. And it wanted it now.

The low death toll undermined efforts by the media to transform the hurricane into a Trump scandal. It made a mockery of Mayor Carmen Yulin Cruz warning about genocide before sending her aide over to the nearest t-shirt printing shop, miraculously left standing, to print up another slogan shirt for CNN.

Unemployment Rate Falls To 18-Year Low; Solid Hiring In May – Wall Street Journal

The unemployment rate fell to an 18-year low in May and employers steadily added jobs, signs of enduring strength for the labor market.

U.S. nonfarm payrolls rose a seasonally adjusted 223,000 in May, the Labor Department said Friday. The unemployment rate ticked down to 3.8%, matching April 2000 as the lowest reading since 1969. Wages in May improved modestly, growing 2.7% from a year earlier.

Economists surveyed by The Wall Street Journal had expected 190,000 new jobs and a 3.9% unemployment rate. Revised figures show employers added 159,000 jobs in April and 155,000 in March, a net upward revision of 15,000.

Through the first five months of the year, employers have added an average of 207,000 workers to payrolls, outpacing 2017’s average monthly growth of 182,000. That runs counter to economists’ expectation for hiring to broadly ease as the labor market tightens.

U.S. employers have added to payrolls for 92 straight months, extending the longest continuous jobs expansion on record…

Trump Administration To Slap EU With Steel And Aluminum Tariffs – The Guardian

The Trump administration is reportedly planning to impose import tariffs on European steel and aluminum after finding no satisfaction in its effort to win trading concessions on the issue.

An announcement dropping the EU from an exemption to global tariffs of 25% on imported steel, and 10% on aluminum, could come on Thursday, according to the Wall Street Journal.

The move is likely to bring retaliatory action from European Union trade regulators who have warned they will target American products as motorcycles, jeans and bourbon if additional U.S. tariffs are imposed.

Signs of increasing friction between the US and Europe over trade came early Wednesday when Wilbur Ross, the U.S. commerce secretary, drew a sharp line with the EU over Chinese trade negotiations, telling counterparts at a trade development panel in Paris that Europe is using tariffs as an “excuse” to refuse trade negotiations.
