Idiot decides to rob taxi driver, epic FAIL ensues

Those darned Americans! They keep defending themselves with firearms, making Bob Costas, and David Frum look like fools

On March 17th, 2014, at 10:11 p.m. Dubuque Police responded to the area of 2nd and Main Street on the report of a disturbance involving shots fired and a vehicle crash. Upon arrival officers met with a cab driver who reported being the victim of an attempted armed robbery inside his cab, during which he discharged his legally carried firearm in self-defense. A second cab driver in the area attempted to intervene and stop the robbery by crashing his cab into the victim’s cab. After a brief struggle with the cab drivers, the suspect fled the area and was not relocated. Evidence located at the scene indicates the suspect may be injured. He is described as a black male in his 30’s wearing a red hooded sweatshirt. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Dubuque Police Department at 563-589-4415.

I mock Frum, Costas, and those like them that look down their noses at gun owners, and mock the very idea that anyone ever uses a gun to defend themselves

So where is news made these days?

The Liberal Consensus Factory of course!

Otherwise known as the news media:

In the wake of the horrific school shooting in Newtown, Connecticut on December 14, the Big Three (ABC, CBS, NBC) networks quickly moved to exploit the tragedy to push for more gun control legislation while mostly ignoring solutions that respect gun owners’ Second Amendment rights.  . . .
Stories advocating more gun control outnumbered stories opposing gun control by 99 to 12, or a ratio of 8 to 1.

And they wonder why we think they are biased?

Just another reason I could never be president

There may be numerous reasons I just would not last as president, but the biggest one is this. I would likely lose my temper and beat the living you know what out of at least a few people. People like Psy, who Donald Douglas talks about this morning.

Utterly amazing, at Twitchy, “Killer photo op: Obama and daughters meet U.S. troop-slay rapper PSY.”

Some of the dude’s lyrics, via Weasel Zippers:

Kill those f-king Yankees who have been torturing Iraqi captives.
Kill those f-king Yankees who ordered them to torture.
Kill their daughters, mothers, daughters-in-law and fathers.
Kill them all slowly and painfully.

See, I would just not be able to do that. If I laid eyes on a rapper that sang those lyrics about American troops, I would snap. My temper would get the best of me. Of course, the media would have a field day. “President opens a can on South Korean rapper” would be just one of the headlines. The international community? They would lose their minds. The Useless Nations? Well they already lost their minds. Bob Costas would make some stupid comments about a culture of intolerance at halftime of Sunday Night Football. And I am sure I would be impeached, or worse, forced to undergo sensitivity training, anger management classes, and maybe even be forced to make one of those fake apologies that people who are not really sorry make. Of course, as president, no one could make me do those things. And Harry Reid and other weasel-like Democrats would be very careful NOT to get on my bad side. The president of Mexico? He would watch his manners too. No, I would not be reelected, but, think of the book deals, offers to have my own talk radio show, I might even get to meet my blogging role model Michelle Malkin! All for beating the snot out of some bottom feeding piece of filth?

When I look at it that way, I am in. Doug Hagin 2016! Ed Daley could be my VP. How about a campaign slogan? Hmmmm. Let’s see, how about Hagin/Daley 2016, because we need to open a Can of Whoop Ass sometimes! And my first act as president, after bitch slapping Psy? A little private meeting with dirt bag Anthnoy Cumia

Bob Costas Fails To Learn The First Rule Of Holes (Video)

Bob Costas Fails To Learn The First Rule Of Holes – Gateway Pundit

…when you’re in one, stop digging.

Last night on MSNBC’s “The Last Word with Lawrence O’Donnell”, Bob Costas continued to make a fool of himself on the issue of firearm ownership, lamenting America’s supposed “Wild West, Dirty Harry” gun culture. Costas claimed that young men in their twenties and thirties are incapable of being responsible gun owners. Here’s a clip:

Tell me, Mr. Costas, do you believe the tens of thousands of young men serving in our armed forces to be incapable of handling firearms responsibly? Moreover, do you believe civilians like me – 37 years old and the holder of a Texas Concealed Handgun License – to be similarly incompetent?

Perhaps, to paraphrase William Shakespeare, the fault, dear Robert, lies not within our culture, but within yourself. Or as Dirty Harry succinctly stated in Magnum Force, “A man’s got to know his limitations.”

Here’s Something That Little Commie Bitch Bob Costas Won’t Tell You

Chicago Shootings Spike 49% In November Despite Country’s Strictest Gun Laws – Weasel Zippers

Bob Costas unavailable for comment.

Via CNS News:

There were 192 shootings in Chicago throughout the month of November – a 49 percent increase from a year earlier – according to police records obtained by the Chicago Tribune.

In November of 2011, Chicago recorded 129 shootings compared to the 192 shootings this November. Police records also reveal that shootings increased more than 11 percent in the first 11 months of 2012 compared with a year earlier.

Total homicides in Chicago rose to 480 for the first eleven months of 2012; a 21 percent increase from last year. On November 30, 2012, there were four fatal shootings within the city. These murders brought the homicide total to 38 for the month, just above the 37 recorded in November of last year.

Despite having some of the strictest gun laws in the country, Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel plans on restricting gun ownership further by banning individuals with a violent misdemeanor conviction from getting a gun permit for five years. The mayor also hopes to ban convicted felons from ever owning a gun.

Greg Gutfeld calls out the newest race pimp on the block

That race pimp being one Jason Whitlock, who has decided to use the Javon Belcher murder/suicide as a stepping stone to publicity. I see Whitlock this way, he is not that famous, he is certainly not a national figure at all. He has been writing sports columns for years, and to be totally fair, he has written some I really enjoyed, until he began blaming Javon Belchers evil actions on guns, and then doubled down on inane when he accused the NRA of pumping drugs and guns into the “Black Community” to make them into shooting galleries.

Whitlock has gotten national exposure for his piece thanks to the arrogant midget, Bob Costas, so now Whitlock sees an opportunity to turn his 15 minutes into a career upgrade. Heck, if he keeps spouting nutty theories MSNBS might give him a show. He would fit right in there with the likes of Al Pimp My Hair Sharpton and Toure. So, in my view, Whitlock is spouting this nonsense because he thinks it will pad his wallet, which makes him nothing but a race pimp. Yesterday, on The Five, Greg Gutfeld, who is the best reason, next to Kimberly Guilfoyles legs, and Andrea Tantaros legs, went off on Whitlock. Video here

Gutfeld is one of the few commentators I find worth watching. Funny guy, smart, and he cuts to the chase. Give me someone with real passion, and who does not spew the same tired talking points over and again. Like I said he is the best, second best, third best reason to watch the Five. Now the top two

A great response to Bob Costas and those blaming guns for Javon Belcher’s actions

Billy Bob at Hell on Earth has a tremendous, and powerful answer to all those Liberals blaming guns for the murder/suicide committed by Kansas City Chiefs linebacker Javon Belcher

I have known 5 people that have killed themselves.

Two of them used prescription medication.

One hung himself.

One ran his Corvette into a building at 100+ mph.

And one used a gun.

One of the people that used the medication had a pistol in the nightstand beside the bed he died in. And the guy in the Corvette had a gun in the console.

The thing that happened with Jovan Belcher this weekend didn’t have anything to do with the gun. The gun didn’t make him kill his girlfriend. And it didn’t make him take his own life.

For jason whitlock and then the guy on Sunday Night Football to somehow associate these events with the gun is pretty damn stupid. Belcher was determined to make these events happen. If he hadn’t had access to a gun he would have used some other instrument, a knife, a baseball bat, a car, there are literally thousands of ways to commit murder and suicide without using a gun.

Blaming the gun makes this whole easy though doesn’t it? Why did he do it? Because he had a gun, of course.
When you blame the gun, you don’t really have to ask the hard questions. You don’t have to investigate whether or not the head injuries Belcher has sustained were a contributing factor. Or the pain medication he was addicted to. Or the fact that he consumed alcohol every day. Nope, just blame the gun. The gun twisted his mind and drove him to the madness. The gun haunted his dreams. The gun made him do it.
Bravo! The thing is that Whitlock, and Costas have bought the “stats” the anti gun lobby has been putting out for years.  This is how they can actually say, and apparently believe that handguns do nothing to make us safer. Well, I beg to differ, I have warded off an armed attacker with my gun, and here are some stories I wish Costas and Whitlock would read
And I could post these news stories all month long and still have plenty to spare. Why would Costas and his ilk seek to ignore these people who defended themselves?

Well, if Bob Costas says we should ban guns…..

What an arrogant little man

In the wake of the Kasandra Perkins/Jovan Belcher (Kansas City Chief’s linebacker) murder-suicide this weekend, Bob Costas decided to make smug plea for America to ban handguns during halftime at the Cowboys/Eagles Sunday night football game on NBC (via Daily Caller):

NBC coverage of Olympics causes outbreak of Offendeditis, Racial Obsession Syndrome

Offendeditis: A Liberal Malady, diagnosed by Doug Hagin, that causes sufferers to constantly be offended, often over nothing. Most commonly associated with Liberals. Most of those afflicted seem happy only when they are offended.

Racial Obsession Syndrome (R.O.S.): A Liberal Malady, first discovered and diagnosed by Doug Hagin, that causes those afflicted, usually Liberals, to see racism everywhere, even if none exists. Also causes delusions of victimhood, and a demented belief that America is incurably racist.

Ah yes, Gabby Douglas wins a gold medal in the all-around gymnastics competition, way to go Gabby, and right after her medal ceremony, a commercial is run that features a monkey doing gymnastics. Will the Left laugh and say that is a cute commercial? Or will they scream RAAAAACISM? What do you think?

There’s lots of things one can complain about regarding the XXX Summer Games (snort). Most have seen the spectacular fail from NBC, no point in rehashing it. But, seriously?

Did NBC Just Air A Racist Commercial?

After Gabby Douglas won the gold and Bob Costas spoke about how amazing this was for the first African-American to win the women’s all-around gymnastics title, NBC aired a commercial of a Monkey doing gymnastics which has caused quite a stir. Racist, or just bad timing? Tons of people on Twitter seemed to think it was more on the racist side.

You can view some of the tweets at the link. It is very sad that so many people are locked into being offended. We have become such an overly sensitive society haven’t we? Ed Driscoll makes a fine point about those screaming RAAAAACISM, it is their problem.

Sigh. It was a commercial. As Ed Driscoll explains

While NBC will likely be forced to grovel an apology, even a fake “we’re sorry if you were offended” effort, they also have a chance to push back against this if they want, and remind viewers that:

1. Commercials and the main TV programming they sponsor are two separate entities; if you’re seeing a connection between the two, that’s your problem. And:

2. If you’re associating African-Americans with monkeys — or you think that we do — that’s really your problem.

A quote that likely will not help you out in prison……….

From accused child rapist Jerry Sandusky “I shouldn’t have showered with those kids.”

Former Penn State coach Jerry Sandusky admitted to showering and horsing around with young boys but said he is not a pedophile in an exclusive interview with Bob Costas for NBC News’ Rock Center airing tonight at 10 pm/9 CT.

“I say that I am innocent of those charges,” said Sandusky in a phone interview with Costas.

When asked by Costas, “Are you a pedophile,” Sandusky responded “No.”

Joe Paterno’s one time defensive coordinator was charged earlier this month with 40 counts of sexually abusing eight boys. He is currently free on a $100,000 bond and has denied any wrongdoing. The allegations date back to 1994, according to a grand jury report. A grand jury report detailed claims of alleged sexual encounters with young boys in Sandusky’s home, hotels and Penn State locker rooms.

“I could say that I have done some of those things. I have horsed around with kids I have showered after workouts. I have hugged them and I have touched their legs without intent of sexual contact,” said Sandusky.

When pressed by Costas about what Sandusky was willing to concede that he’d done was wrong, Sandusky said, “I shouldn’t have showered with those kids.”

All I can say is this. If Sandusky is guilty of raping these boys, I can think of no more fitting a punishment than what will happen in those prison showers. You DO know what happens to child molesters in the pen right Jerry?

Ah, so that is how he stays sane

I always pondered how Stacy McCain retains his sanity, and now, his secret has been revealed. He does not listen to presidential speeches. Be sure to read his great piece on this at The American Spectator. Likewise, I tend to ignore most speeches by most politicians. I do so because they contain on average about 90% “talking points”, and I have an increasingly low tolerance for “talking points”, which is, of course, politicalese for bullshit! Talking points are basically sales pitches, and generally speaking bad sales pitches, designed to BS the American people. “talking points” are used to “stay on message”, in other words do not say anything that might be used against your party later. Talking points are just another part of the dumbing down of all things in America. Both parties use them, and to me, they are the biggest beatings to listen to, right up there with Marv Albert doing NBA games, and Bob Costas saying anything.

You know them when you hear them. Democrats, for instance, give us the “tax-cuts for the rich” talking point about every 1.2 seconds. Republicans respond with things like “fiscal responsibility” about every 1.6 seconds. To me, it does not even matter if I agree with the politician or talking head and their particular talking point. I am just burned out on the same people spewing the same things. I crave originality, sincerity, and BS-free speeches and debate.

This is why I prefer blogs to talk radio for the most part. Sure there are Dennis Prager and Rush, who are great, and their shows are NOT the usual three hours of “talking points”, but, face it, most talk radio is, well repetitious and monotonous. Blogs, though, are real, and original, well, at least most Conservative blogs are anyway. Blogs are, for the most part, good because they are NOT run by the talking head types, they are done by average folks, who are not part of the DC insiders club. Frankly, political shows, would be far better if they featured more bloggers as guests.

So, if you are tired of politicalese, and talking points, read this blog more, or check out my blogroll, lots of fine blogs are there. Want originality? Want fear-free political discourse and commentary? You are at the right place!
