Amazing Douchebaggery: Defense Department Claims Bible, Constitution And Declaration Of Independence Perpetuate Sexism

Defense Department: The Bible, Constitution And Declaration Of Independence All Perpetuate Sexism – Daily Caller

According to a Defense Department approved “sexism course,” the Bible, the U.S. Constitution and the Declaration of Independence all contribute to modern sexism.

Those three cherished texts all count as “historical influences that allow sexism to continue,” according to a presentation prepared by the Defense Equal Opportunity Management Institute, whose mission is to give a ”world-class human relations education.”

.

.
According to the course, the Bible has “quotes” which can be interpreted as sexist by readers.

The Declaration of Independence is also an historical cause of sexism, as the document refers only to “all men” – not “men and women.”

And the Constitution, the Pentagon argues, is an historical source of sexism because “slaves and women were not included until later in history.”

Of course, members of the Armed Forces take an oath to defend the Constitution – which is, according to the DEOMI course, an “historical influence that allows sexism to continue.”

“The content of the lesson is provided to generate academic discussion concerning how these historical documents have been included in discussions about the topic of sexism,” Lt. Cmdr. Nate Christensen, a Defense Department spokesman, told The Daily Caller.

But following TheDC’s request for comment, the sexism course – as well as two other courses listed on DEOMI’s website, entitled “Prejudice & Discrimination” and “Racism” – were taken offline.

“This course is currently offline and under revision,” a notice says under all three courses.

.

.
Asked about the sudden update, Christensen replied, “DEOMI online materials are periodically pulled to review to ensure accuracy and relevance. The racism, sexism and Prejudice & Discrimination are currently undergoing that review process.”

TheDC obtained copies of all three courses prior to their removal.

The “Prejudice & Discrimination” course was recently required for some Navy personnel who work in hospitals and clinics.

In the course, discrimination is divided into two categories: institutional and individual. Institutions can be a source of discrimination, as well as actions – or inaction – made by individuals.

Institutional discrimination, according to the DEOMI course, can be found in employment, education, housing and the military.

Examples of institutional discrimination in employment, according to DEOMI, are education requirements for employment:

.

.
The course teaches, “Individuals who have been segregated to inferior schools cannot find employment in businesses that hire according to specified credentials that inferior schools do not offer.”

Therefore, when employers institute education qualifications for prospective employees, they are engaging in a form of discrimination.

The DEOMI states more examples of institutional discrimination can be found in education:

.

.
Academic tests “may have inherent cultural bias,” the presentation argues.

Textbooks also perpetuate discrimination since they “provide little or no information on minority groups, especially minority histories and the contributions that minorities have made to American culture.”

DEOMI teaches students that they can also contribute to discrimination on an individual level.

The presentation asserts individuals can perpetrate discrimination through both active and inactive ways, including “refusing to acknowledge one’s own privilege.”

.

.
Active contributions to discrimination include verbal and physical assault, as well as “considering prejudices and discrimination to be a thing of a past.”

Inactive discrimination, according to DEOMI, includes failing to acknowledge personal “privilege.”

In the glossary provided by the course, “privilege” is defined as “a special advantage, immunity, permission, right, or benefit granted to or enjoyed by an individual, class, or caste.”

.

.
By an individual refusing to believe that he is inherently better off than another person as a result of his race or gender, DEOMI teaches that the individual is engaging in an act of discrimination.

At the same time, it is also viewed as inactive discrimination if an individual believes “you have experienced and fully understand the oppression of the target group.”

In addition to the presentation on “Prejudice & Discrimination,” DEOMI offers a broader course on the topic of “Racism.”

In the “Racism” presentation, individuals are cautioned against using “antilocution” — or using phrases that could have a racial connotation.

The graphic which accompanies the slide lists an array of naughty words, including “white men can’t jump” and “Jew.”

According to the presentation, the Defense Department also bans the word ”Redskin” — pitting the Pentagon against its hometown NFL team.

.

.
Lt. Cmdr. Nate Christensen said information in the DEOMI courses accurately reflects Department of Defense policy: “The Department of Defense Office of Diversity Management and Equal Opportunity [ODMEO] in collaboration with the Military services review DEOMI’s education and training materials designed for Equal Opportunity Advisors [EOAs] to ensure that DoD policy is accurately reflected. DEOMI staff develops, in coordination with the ODMEO and the Military Services, standardized training templates to ensure only approved training materials are used during local training sessions.”

“While there is no DoD Policy that requires persons to take these online courses,” Christensen told TheDC, since 2011, 2,075 Department of Defense personnel took the “Sexism” course, 3,448 took the “Prejudice & Discrimination” course, and 3,028 took the “Racism” course.

Traitor John Kerry Claims The Bible Tells Us To Protect Muslim Countries From Global Warming (Video)

John Kerry: Bible Tells Us To Protect Muslim Countries From Global Warming – Gateway Pundit

On Wednesday, Secretary of State John Kerry told his audience the Bible tells us to protect Muslim majority countries from global warming.

Breitbart reported:

Wednesday at a ceremony to appoint Texas lawyer Shaarik Zafar to be special representative to Muslim communities, Secretary of State John Kerry said it was the United States’ Biblical “responsibility” to “confront climate change,” including to protect “vulnerable Muslim majority counties.”

Hallelujah!

.

.
In February, John Kerry insisted that global warming was as big a threat as terrorism.

Oh good grief! Homosexuality is a sin according to the Bible, get over it!

Of course, many things are sinful, according to the Bible, and EVERYONE, yes EVERYONE is a sinner, according to the New Testament. Even Christians are sinners aren’t they? Like the bumper sticker says, Christians are not perfect, just forgiven. Here is the thing that drives me crazy. If you do not agree with what the Bible says about sin, or Homosexuality, or drunkeness, or gambling to excess, or lying, then by all means do not become a Christian. But honestly, this idiotic notion that we can just change what the Bible says to be more PC is a fool’s errand. Smitty has more on one such fool

Such as O. Wesley Allen Jr.:

But other Bible experts said the Scripture Robertson cited isn’t quite clear about homosexuality.
“A lot of people misread this text because it’s so complicated,” said O. Wesley Allen Jr., an associate professor at Lexington Theological Seminary in Kentucky.
First, scholars say, we have to look at the context surrounding Paul’s letter.
The Christian leader is trying to get the quarreling Corinthians to stop taking each other to civil courts and being judgmental. “The very fact that you have lawsuits among you means you have been completely defeated already,” Paul says.
Things were supposed to be different after they became Christian believers, Paul continues; they were supposed to stop their sinful ways.

There are plenty of areas for conjecture about the Bible, especially the beginning of creation and the apocalyptic end.

But to try to say that the Bible, at any point, is less than clear when it comes to sexuality is a public confession of unreliability. The human form is the human form. The reproductive system is not the digestive system. Sexual activity outside of marriage (which I should not have to state means the heterosexual context, not any of the current ‘novel’ geometries) means falling short of the optimal.

I think that sums it up pretty well. Christianity is a religion, a faith, if you do not like what that faith is about, then go another way, it is that simple.

Dumbing Down our Vocabulary

All I can say about this is Good Freaking Grief!

And the liberals, in high-dudgeon, remain intolerant of intolerance, and are determined to pass laws against hateful speech.  Which they have every right to do since they refuse, morally,  to allow disgusting subhuman wingnut bastard haters who hate to use derogatory terms that may harm the esteem of groups these progressive angels — who care! — single out for championing.  To do so would be to allow putrid, conniving, mouth-breathing retards and knuckle-dragging cousin humpers hiding behind their Bibles, their guns,  and their gas-ass teabagging to ruin civil discourse.

Daily Mail, UK:

People living in Seattle can no longer enjoy a brown bag lunch after city bureaucrats banned the term from official use for being racist.

A memo sent out from the Office of Civil Rights also banned the word ‘citizen’, claiming it could lead to people feeling excluded in the multi-cultural city.

The memo went on to offer politically correct alternatives that could be used in official documents and discussions.

Luckily, we’ve got options,’ Elliott Bronstein wrote in the internal memo, according to Fox News. ‘For “citizens”, how about “residents”?’

Mr Bronstein defended the ban on a Seattle radio station, and said that the term ‘brown bag’ had historically been used as a way to determine skin color.

Paper bags had once been used as way to decide if African-Americans had what was considered to be a light enough skin tone to be admitted to certain college teams and houses.

‘For a lot of particularly African-American community members, the phrase brown bag does bring up associations with the past when a brown bag was actually used, I understand, to determine if people’s skin color was light enough to allow admission to an event,’ Mr Bronstein said.

Last week, when Eagles receiver Riley Cooper got in all kinds of  hot water for saying the word Niggers, yes, I said the actual word, it is a word, get over it, I was not surprised to hear Cooper apologize, then grovel for forgiveness for using that word. Fine, in my view he should apologize if he is really sorry. If not, why apologize? I mean what is a phony apology worth? Squat, that is what. And, if any of his teammates, many who are Black, pop him in the mouth for using the word, fine. But, the media firestorm over a word, yes, it is just a word, is appalling. It is the latest signpost letting us know we are now speeding down the Highway to Hypersensitivity at break neck speed. I remember when I was little, my parents taught me the saying “sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me” Now, of course words can hurt, and yes feelings are important. But we are allowing offending someone to become the single worst anyone can do, and that is very bad for all of us. We are also allowing careers and lives to be ruined over “offensive” language. That is even worse. How soon will we be so afraid of saying anything that our freedom of speech will be useless?

Again, I understand that certain words are hurtful, and I personally avoid such words, but we are increasingly seeing words, yes words, ostracized as if they were bad people. How soon till we start spelling words like parents do in front of their three-year-olds? Sorry, but if a word causes you THAT much pain, that is a YOU problem.

Pastor who handled snakes dies from a predictable cause

I am sorry for his families loss, and I certainly am NOT questioning his faith, but I have always thought that the Pentecostals who handle venomous snakes are taking the Bible too far

Pastor Mack Wolford died on Sunday after suffering a fatal bite from a snake he had owned and handled for years. The 44-year-old Pentecostal pastor, who was based in West Virginia, was well-known in the faith sphere.

What started out as a pre-planned outdoor service on Sunday afternoon at Panther Wildlife Management Area in Bluefield, West Virginia, quickly turned into something more sinister. About 30 minutes into the event, his sister claims that Wolford passed a yellow timber rattlesnake to a church member and his mother. When he laid it on the ground, it bit his thigh.

The service came to a halt not long after and Wolford was taken to a relative’s home to recover. This apparently wasn’t his first snake bite, so his family expected him to simply recover as he has on other occasions. But this time the situation was very different and he passed away later on that evening.

Very sad. RIP

Just when I start to like Rick Santorum………..

Just when I start to think that I can overlook his over the top Social Conservatism. Just when I start to think that maybe he has realized that government needs to stay OUT of American’s sex lives, he goes THERE!

I don’t care if it’s in the Bible, I don’t care if you can point to all sorts of studies showing how it leads to bad economic outcomes or even health problems. People will not vote for Rick Santorum once they see things like this:

(Warning DKos link)

One of the things I will talk about that no president has talked about before is I think the dangers of contraception in this country, the whole sexual libertine idea … Many in the Christian faith have said, “Well, that’s okay … contraception’s okay.”

It’s not okay because it’s a license to do things in the sexual realm that is counter to how things are supposed to be. They’re supposed to be within marriage, for purposes that are, yes, conjugal … but also procreative. That’s the perfect way that a sexual union should happen. We take any part of that out, we diminish the act. And if you can take one part out that’s not for purposes of procreation, that’s not one of the reasons, then you diminish this very special bond between men and women, so why can’t you take other parts of that out? And all of a sudden, it becomes deconstructed to the point where it’s simply pleasure. And that’s certainly a part of it—and it’s an important part of it, don’t get me wrong—but there’s a lot of things we do for pleasure, and this is special, and it needs to be seen as special.

Again, I know most presidents don’t talk about those things, and maybe people don’t want us to talk about those things, but I think it’s important that you are who you are. I’m not running for preacher. I’m not running for pastor, but these are important public policy issues.

Drew seems to agree with me, or maybe I agree with him, anyway, great minds agree that Santorum will lose to Obama if he keeps that up.

Also, one more point that folks like Santorum overlook. What if someone IS married, but in their forties, and simply feels like they are too old to have kids? Should they NOT use contraception? Not have sex? Is THAT sex somehow, “diminished”? Good grief Santorum!

One of the great lies of the Left is that they love freedom of speech

And this story, via The Right Scoop, illustrates this truth perfectly!

A 15 year-old student was ask to write an op-ed on the topic of gay adoption. He wrote in opposition to the topic using the Bible as his primary source for the basis of his argument. A gay parent saw the op-ed and complained and thus the student was bullied by the superintendent and threatened with suspension because of his ‘offense’.

Lefty intolerance on display. Here’s the article from Todd Starnes at Fox News

[Brandon] Wegner, a student at Shawano High School, was asked to write an op-ed for the school newspaper about whether gays should be allowed to adopt. Wegner, who is a Christian, wrote in opposition. Another student wrote in favor of allowing gays to adopt.

Wegner used Bible passages to defend his argument, including Scripture that called homosexuality a sin.

After the op-ed was published, a gay couple whose child attend s the high school, complained.

The school immediately issued an apology – stating Wegner’s opinion was a “form of bullying and disrespect.”

An apology? For what exactly? Because one Gay couple too offense? Tell me where does the Left come with this absurd notion that there is some inherent right NOT to be offended? Why did the school simply say “look, we asked two students with differing views to write op-eds, and they did so” Note the double standard here.

“Offensive articles cultivating a negative environment of disrespect are not appropriate or condoned by the Shawano School District,” the statement read. “We sincerely apologize to anyone we may have offended and are taking steps to prevent items of this nature from happening in the future.”

No apology was given for anyone offended by the other students op-ed. Why not? If the Left truly believes in a right not to be offended, doesn’t that “right” belong to all people? And what is this BS about bullying? Is expressing your opinion now equal to intimidating or threatening behavior? If so, AGAIN< why were both students not accused of bullying?

But Staver said what the school system did next was absolutely outrageous. He said the 15-year-old was ordered to the superintendent’s office where he was subjected to hours of meetings and was accused of violating the school’s bullying policy.

“The superintendent called him ignorant and said he had the power to suspend him,” Staver said. “He’s using his position to bully this student. This is absolutely the epitome of intolerance.”

Staver said the boy’s parents were never notified.

At one point, Staver said the superintendent gave him a chance to say he regretted writing the column.

“When Mr. Wegner stated that he did not regret writing it, and that he stood behind his beliefs, Superintendent Carlson told him that he ‘had got to be one of the most ignorant kids to try to argue with him about this topic,’” Staver said.

So, like any good Statist, the Superintendent tried to bully and belittle the student for expressing a view that offended him. A view, I remind you, that the school ASKED the student to write in the first place!

At that point, Staver said the superintendent told the boy that “we have the power to suspend you if we want to.

The superintendent allegedly told Wegner that he was personally offended by Wegner’s column.

Again, the Left loathes freedom of speech, unless it is pre-approved by them of course! I am sure Lennin would be proud.

Who says Christians cannot be kinky?

I do enjoy poking a little fun at “Social Conservatives”  who venture into prudish waters at times. But seriously, anyone have any thoughts on this?

Christianity and sex toys don’t usually end up in the same sentence, but at Book22.com, an online sex toy shop for Christian married couples, faith and bedroom fun are always intertwined.

God “illustrated that in marriage man and woman symbolically become one flesh,” the shop explains. “A common theme throughout the Bible is sexual purity…We want to encourage God’s plan for people to remain sexually pure.”

Does this sound like America to you?

I have said many times that some of the most direct trespasses against our liberties come from county and city governments. Here is an example from Orange County, California. Via Weasel Zippers

MISSION VIEJO (CBS) — An Orange County couple has been ordered to stop holding a Bible study in their home on the grounds that the meeting violates a city ordinance as a “church” and not as a private gathering.

Homeowners Chuck and Stephanie Fromm, of San Juan Capistrano, were fined $300 earlier this month for holding what one city official called “a regular gathering of more than three people” that requires a conditional use permit, according to Pacific Justice Institute, the couple’s legal representation.

The Fromms also reportedly face subsequent fines of $500 per meeting for any further “religious gatherings” in their home, according to the Pacific Justice Institute (PJI).

“We’re just gathering and enjoying each other’s company and fellowship. And we enjoy studying God’s word.” Stephanie Fromm told CBS2.

After city officials rejected the Fromms’ appeal, PJI, which represents both the Fromms and other Bible study participants, will appeal the decision to the California Superior Court in Orange County.

“This is also about a city trying to get a family to pay fees — to pay fees and pay money to them — just to be able to have friends over to read the Bible,” attorney Brad Dacus of PJI told CBS2.

My first question was if this possibly was a situation where the meetings were causing parking issues, or if neighbors had complained. That question seems to be no

Neighbors have written letters to the city in support of the Fromms, whom they said have not caused any disturbances with the meetings, according to PJI.

“The Fromm case further involves regular meetings on Sunday mornings and Thursday afternoons with up to 50 people, with impacts on the residential neighborhood on street access and parking,” City Attorney Omar Sandoval said.

So, I wonder if these folks had “more than three people over” for dinner, or to watch a game, would the city be breathing down their necks? No matter, the city has overstepped their legitimate role by miles here. This is why voting for your city council or county commission is so crucial. Often times, people who run for council seats let the power go to their heads, and those people have no business having any authority.

Political Correctness run amok, God is the new four-letter word

An unbelievable, or should I say an all too believable story out of Houston.

Local veterans and volunteer groups are accusing Department of Veterans Affairs officials of censoring religious speech — including banning the word “God” — at Houston National Cemetery.

In one example cited in documents filed this week in federal court, cemetery director Arleen Ocasio reportedly told volunteers with the National Memorial Ladies that they had to stop telling the families, “God bless you,” at funerals and that they had to remove the words “God bless” from condolence cards.

There was a time when this type if thing just did not happen, then the “tolerant Left” began to get some influence and sway, and now? Now it is amazing just how intolerant the “tolerant Left” is

According to court documents, Ocasio banned members of the groups from using certain religious words such as “God” or “Jesus,” censored the content of prayer, and forbade the use of religious messages in burial rituals unless the deceased’s family submitted the text to her for prior approval.

Court documents also describe the closure of the cemetery’s chapel after Ocasio’s appointment as director two years ago.

“The doors remain locked during Houston National Cemetery operating hours, the cross and the Bible have been removed, and the Chapel bells, which tolled at least twice a day, are now inoperative,” the complaint reads. “Director Ocasio only unlocks the Chapel doors when meetings or training sessions are held at the building. Furthermore it is no longer called a ‘chapel’ but a ‘meeting facility.’”

So, a veterans cemetery is banning the word God? In essence this is akin to spitting on all of those graves.

Climate of Hate, Rush Limabaugh, cheerleaders and Pimples…………..

Must not be tolerated according to Matt, who makes a great point using only humor

Young Billy is a 17-year old boy who enjoys math riddles, glee club and has plans to run for student body President.  All that changed in an instant.Last week Billy asked popular cheerleader Shannon to the prom.  He was rejected. In a cold-blooded utterance that can only be described as “terroristic in intent” Shannon told Billy that he “wasn’t her type.

Now a devastated Billy stays in his room playing online video games, occasionally taking time out to mow the lawn or read the Bible.

The backlash against Shannon and her hate-filled rejection of Billy is intense.  Many local residents blame talk radio.

“It’s Rush Limbaugh’s fault” said one.

“Fox news and talk radio” said another.  “I don’t like what they have to say.   They promote a climate of hate.  Why else would she reject him?”

The local Democratic party pickets outside Shannon’s house.

Hey.  Ho.  Hate speech has got to go!’ read the placards. One person picketing outside her house told reporters:
