Common Core-Approved Textbook Will Indoctrinate Sixth-Graders About #BlackLivesMatter (Video)

New ‘Common Core’ Approved Textbook Will Indoctrinate Sixth-Graders About ‘Black Lives Matter’ – Right Scoop

To hear “Common Core” defenders you would think that it really isn’t that bad and critics are insane, but this new Common Core approved textbook that indoctrinates American children to be “Black Lives Matter” thugs and morons makes me think the critics just might have a point!

Watch Larry Elder obliterate the idiocy:

.

.
Gotta love the Elder!

Over at MyNorthwest.com, one of the co-authors of the book says that conservatives like Larry Elder are being silly prejudging the book that hasn’t even been published yet:

Professor Harris is confused by this reaction because she is certain that Elder, and others opposed to the textbook, have never read it.

“I have an electronic copy, my co-author has an electronic copy and then the [printing] press has it,” she said. “No one else has this book. So they are interpreting what they think the book is about. My co-author is a white woman, we have not framed this into who to blame and who not to blame. That’s not what this kind of work is about.”

“The conservatives say that it’s indoctrination,” Harris said. “That couldn’t be further from the truth. We’re not saying in our book that the police are wrong or the police are bad. We’re trying to explain to them what an indictment is.”

Oh yeahh sure, it’s equal to both sides, yeah sure I believe you, yeah! Oh wait, look at what the dimwit says just a few paragraphs later:

“Because I have been trained as a historian, I am confident that 40 years from now, these people are going to be thought of as brave and transformative because that’s always what happens,” Harris said. “Think about the Vietnam War protests. Those people were demonized when that was going on.”

Right, this lady who thinks these people will be hailed as heroes wrote this perfectly even-sided book, huh? She must think we’re complete morons – oh wait, she’s selling this book to liberal teachers, so… that makes sense.

I honestly think any sixth-grade idiot teacher who wastes taxpayer money on this crap should be summarily fired.

Social Security Administration Approved Disability Benefits For Puerto Ricans Because They Can’t Speak English

Feds Consider Puerto Ricans Disabled Because They Speak Spanish – Washington Free Beacon

.

.
The Social Security Administration (SSA) approved disability benefits for hundreds of Puerto Ricans because they do not speak English, despite the fact that Puerto Rico is a predominantly Spanish-speaking territory.

According to a new audit by the Office of Inspector General (OIG), the agency is misapplying rules that are intended to provide financial assistance to individuals who are illiterate or cannot speak English in the United States. Under the rules, Puerto Ricans are allowed to receive disability benefits for their inability to speak English as well.

“We found the Agency did not make exceptions regarding the English-language grid rules for claimants who reside in Puerto Rico, even though Spanish is the predominant language spoken in the local economy,” the OIG said.

The audit said a person applying for disability in Puerto Rico who cannot speak English “may increase his/her likelihood of receiving disability benefits.”

The agency does not currently have a system in place to keep track of the number of beneficiaries who receive disability insurance for not being able to speak English.

However, the OIG was able to identify 218 cases between 2011 and 2013 where Puerto Ricans were awarded disability due to “an inability to communicate in English.” Furthermore, 4 percent of disability hearings in Puerto Rico involved looking at the individual’s ability to speak, read, write, and understand English.

Though 95 percent of Puerto Ricans speak Spanish at home, according to the rules a Spanish-speaking nurse in Puerto Rico would be considered “unskilled,” the OIG said.

The SSA told the OIG that the rules are applied one-size-fits-all.

“SSA managers at various disability decision levels stated Social Security is a national program, and the grids must be applied to the national economy, regardless of local conditions,” the audit said.

The SSA takes into account an individual’s education level when considering awarding disability benefits if they do not qualify for medical reasons. Part of the education requirement involves looking at a person’s ability to speak English, to determine whether it limits his ability to find a job.

Last year Sen. Jeff Sessions (R., Ala.) raised concerns that the Obama administration was broadly applying the education rule under the Social Security Act to allow individuals to receive disability payments solely because they cannot speak English.

He noted that the Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) rolls swelled 230 percent between 2000 and 2010, while the U.S. population only grew 9.7 percent.

Former SSA judges have also testified that individuals have been approved for disability in the United States without having to prove they cannot speak English.

The hundreds of Puerto Ricans noted in the OIG’s report have received disability insurance despite a 1987 U.S. District Court ruling that appears to contradict the SSA’s policy. Benefits were denied on the grounds that “it is the ability to communicate in Spanish, not English, that is vocationally important in Puerto Rico.”

“It should be noted, however, that the court explicitly declined to apply this rationale outside of this one case,” the OIG said.

The SSA agreed with the OIG’s recommendations to figure out how many individuals have been “awarded disability based on their inability to communicate in English,” and to “evaluate the appropriateness” of applying the English-speaking rules to Puerto Rico.

The SSA is currently gathering information for a proposed regulation that “could lead to changes” to the English-speaking rule, the agency said.

“Specifically, we are soliciting public comments and supporting research on how the inability to communicate in English affects an individual’s ability to adjust to other work that exists in the national economy,” the SSA said.

Coming To A School Near You: Common Core Approved Child Pornography

Coming To A School Near You: Common Core Approved Child Pornography – Gateway Pundit

Common Core Education has sparked political controversy since the U.S. Department of Education decided to adopt its curriculum nationwide in both public and private schools. The Common Core website lists “exemplar texts” by grade which they recommend for reading and one in particular has some parents taking action. The Common Core recommends a book for 11th and 12th graders by Nobel Prize winning author Toni Morrison called “The Bluest Eye”. The excerpts from the book are too pornographic to post here but you can choose to read them here at this link. The Bluest Eye depicts detailed accounts of incest, rape and pedophilia as “friendly”, “innocent” and “tender”. The biggest issue with the book is that the story is told from the pedophile’s point of view so the reader can become a “co-conspirator” with the rapist. The author purposely did not portray the pedophile’s actions as wrong so the reader can “sympathize” with the pedophile.

.
…………………

Politichicks reported:

Obviously the reason behind some parents calls for removing the book are the graphic depictions of incest, rape and pedophilia. And not just that, the book actually lets the reader see the depictions from the perpetrators point of view. In fact, the author of the book, Morrison, says that she wanted the reader to feel as though they are a “co-conspirator” with the rapist. She took pains to make sure she never portrayed the actions as wrong in order to show how everyone has their own problems. She even goes as far as to describe the pedophilia, rape and incest “friendly,” “innocent,” and “tender.”

It’s no wonder that this book is in the top 10 list of most contested books in the country. The Bluest Eye is the story of Pecola Breedlove, a young black girl, who prays every day for beauty: for the blond hair and blue eyes that she believes will allow her to fit in. As her life begins to disintegrate in the face of adversity and strife, such as being raped by her father and beaten by her mother, she finally appeals to Soaphead Church, a pedophile, to help her attain blue eyes. After being impregnated by her father, she loses her baby and ultimately loses her mind.

Macey France goes on to explain why this is no different than child pornography:

Using just the smallest amount of common sense we can deduce that if the book cannot be read aloud in the class, could not be viewable if it was a movie and couldn’t be played on the stereo if it was a CD, then why is it okay for it to be read and discussed; in school of all places! In fact, according to one lawyer, if the incidents in this book were a movie or a picture there would be a very clear cut case for prosecution for child pornography.

Bill To Ban Abortions After 20 Weeks Approved By Texas House

Texas House Approves Bill To End Late Term Abortion – Gateway Pundit

.
……….

Texas pro-life advocates and supporters cheered Tuesday as Texas HB 2, which would end late term abortion in the state, was approved by the Texas House. During the long HB 2 debate in the Texas House, pro-abortion activists have threatened legislators and their children with rape, tweeted death threats to the Lt. Governor in Texas and chanted “f- the church” outside the Texas capitol. Pro-abortion advocate, Texas state Rep. Senfronia Thompson (D) and also a former public school teacher (surprise, surprise), even made the ridiculous argument that pro-life men were “taught how to potty” by women. TPM reported:

“We were these men’s first teachers. We taught them how to put their pants on, how to tie their shoes, how to potty,” Thompson said. “And all of a sudden when we get to be adults, then we become senile to the extent that we don’t know what is good for ourselves, we cannot make decisions for ourselves, like we can’t think ourselves out of a paper bag. And we can.”

Despite the small outcry from baby killers there is a much larger group that supports Texas HB 2 because of the chance to save the lives of innocent children. The bill to ban abortion after 20 weeks in Texas will save at least one baby a day. According to an Abortion Surveillance report published in 2012, 465 babies were aborted in Texas after 21 weeks. Governor Rick Perry intends to push HB 2 through the Republican controlled Legislature in a second special session. It looks as though the Democrats have little chance to vote this bill down. Their final hope is to file a federal lawsuit to block it once it becomes law.

Absurd Fear Mongering: Texas Dems Wield Coat Hangers On House Floor To Protest Pro-Life Bill Banning Abortions After 20 Weeks – Weasel Zippers

Under this bill a woman has five months to make up her mind if she wants to have an abortion, why would she need a coat hanger?

Via Politico:

The Texas Legislature got off to a dramatic start on Tuesday with one lawmaker brandishing a coathanger on the House floor as the chamber took up the abortion measure that has roiled the state and the country in the weeks since a 13-hour filibuster derailed its passage in the last session.

The Texas House of Representatives opened at 10 a.m. local time after the July Fourth recess to consider House Bill 2, which imposes a ban on abortions after 20 weeks and, critics charge, would shutter nearly every abortion-providing clinic in the state due to stringent clinic regulations. The measure failed to be fully passed at the end of the last session due to a filibuster late last month led by state Sen. Wendy Davis, who became a national liberal icon overnight. […]

Thompson and others who accompanied her on the floor brandished several props including wire coat hangers, knitting needles, feathers and turpentine. She charged that without rape and incest exceptions extended beyond the first five months of gestation, sexual assault victims would use those tools to obtain abortions.
