Once more the left pretends criminals obey laws

Stuck on stupid anyone?

St. Louis recently reclassified parks as child care facilities in an effort to ban guns there. It’s an effort to get around the state’s preemption law, and one that I seriously doubt will survive a legal challenge, but also a measure that’s not likely to have much of an impact on the criminals who are causing the problems.

Despite that, it seems some want Kansas City to pass a similar measure.

With state lawmakers throwing up roadblocks, both Kansas City and St. Louis leaders have been forced to get creative in their attempts to reduce the gun violence that has plagued Missouri’s largest metro areas.

In this anything-goes gun-rights state, cities have little wiggle room to enact even the most modest restrictions on firearms.

But Kansas City Mayor Quinton Lucas has managed to pass ordinances that prohibit domestic abusers and minors from possessing guns.

Now, St. Louis has taken action to keep guns out of city parks. The St. Louis Board of Aldermen recently approved an ordinance that classifies the city’s parks as child care facilities, which state law mandates are gun-free zones.

Sooo, pass more laws for people that already break laws? Yes, minors talking a gun anywhere is breaking the law. Domestic abusers? Think those losers will follow such laws? Alas, this is how the left “thinks”

What if…………

This story of a hero, who sacrificed his life to save others, has me asking one question

The University of North Carolina at Charlotte student who died after tackling the gunman in last week’s campus shooting will be remembered at a memorial service with military honors on Sunday, according to the Wells Funeral Home and Cremation Services

Authorities have said Riley Howell, a 21-year-old ROTC cadet at UNCC, charged the shooter after he opened fire with a pistol in a classroom last Tuesday, saving the lives of others.

My question? Well, what if this hero had been armed? I do not know if he would have carried if law allowed, but what if? Isn’t this the very type of person we would want to carry  on campus?

If you recoil at the very thought of armed citizens, ask yourself this. If you, or maybe your child were at school a mass shooter targeted, would you rather people like this hero be armed? Imagine if he had been, and had not had to charge the killer, but could have taken him down with a weapon. Wouldn’t that be a better ending?

Well this school is taking security seriously

They are not playing around

Another Florida school is actively taking precautions against shooters by hiring armed combat veterans to patrol its campus, a year after the tragic Parkland shooting.

The Manatee School for the Arts, a charter school, will employ two combat veterans to protect the school and prevent any persons attempting to shoot up the school, according to HuffPost. The guards will both carry a handgun and military-style long gun, WWSB TV reported.

“If someone walks onto this campus, they’re going to be shot and killed,” said school principal Bill Jones, according to the Bradenton Herald. “We’re not going to talk with them. We’re not going to negotiate. We are going to put them down, as quickly as possible.”

One guard with 15 years of infantry experience has patrolled the campus for a number of months, HuffPost reported. A second guard will patrol the campus starting at the end of February.

Panel investigating Parkland shooting recommends arming teachers

Common sense wins

A Florida state commission investigating the February shooting at a Parkland, Fla., high school that left 17 people dead recommended on Wednesday that teachers who undergo proper training be allowed to carry firearms at schools.

The South Florida Sun-Sentinel reported that members of the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School Public Safety Commission voted 13-1 to recommend the state legislature pass the proposal. The recommendation calls for teachers who would be armed to undergo a background check and proper training.

The controversial idea was floated by some Republicans and advocates of “hardening” schools in the wake of the Parkland shooting, but was criticized by teachers and Democrats.

“In the ideal world, we shouldn’t need anyone on campus with a gun, but that’s not the world we live in today,” said Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd, a member of the commission. “One’s not enough. Two’s not enough. We need multiple people in order to protect the children.”

Again, common sense. Evil people exist, we have to accept that

Toronto shooter identified

If you were betting on a Christian, Hindu, Jew, Buddhist or Atheist, wrong

Canadian authorities identified the gunman who killed two people and injured 13 others in a lively Toronto neighborhood Sunday night as 29-year-old Faisal Hussain, whose family claimed had suffered from “severe mental health challenges.”

The Special Investigations Unit of the Ontario Provincial Police said a member of Hussain’s immediate family and a “family representative” confirmed the gunman’s identity.

Moments after Hussain’s identity was released, his family issued a statement to multiple media outlets saying he had been “struggling with psychosis and depression his entire life.

Of course, we do not know what his religion is, to be entirely fair. We knew he was crazy because, well sane people do not slaughter innocents. And we know Canada’s gun control laws did nothing to prevent this atrocity

Mass stabbing at Chinese school

It is not the weapon, it is the evil person

A knife-wielding man with a grudge killed seven middle school children and injured 12 others as they returned home in northern China on Friday, authorities said, in one of the deadliest such rampages in the country in recent years. (The NY Times reports that 9 children died and ten were wounded)

The 28-year-old suspect was detained and the injured children were receiving hospital treatment, the Mizhi County public security bureau in Shaanxi province said on its official social media account.

Five girls and two boys were killed, the bureau said. Another nine girls and three boys were wounded. The ages of the children were not given, but middle schoolers are usually between 12 and 15 years old in China.

The incident took place at around 6:10 pm local time, the department said.

A man surnamed Zhao from Zhaojiashan village in Mizhi County was arrested, the public security bureau said.

The suspect confessed that he had been “bullied” when he attended the same Number Three Middle School when he was a child, “hated” his classmates and decided to use a “dagger” to kill people on Friday, the bureau said.

Apparently the gun control, which is very strict in China does not deter mass killings

Knife attacks are not uncommon in the country.

In February, a knife-wielding man with a personal grudge killed a woman and injured 12 others in a busy Beijing shopping mall — a rare act of violence in the heavily policed capital.

In May last year, a man believed to be suffering mental health problems killed two people and injured 18 in southwest Guizhou province.

In July, a man armed with a kitchen knife killed two people and wounded nine others in a supermarket in the southern city of Shenzhen.

In January 2017, a man armed with a kitchen knife stabbed and wounded 11 children at a kindergarten in China’s southern Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region.

In February 2016, a knife-wielding assailant wounded 10 children in Haikou, in the southern island province of Hainan, before committing suicide.

The man had entered the school in the afternoon, claiming that he was there to pick up his son.

In 2014, state media reported that a man stabbed three children and a teacher to death and wounded several others in a rampage at a primary school that refused to enrol his daughter.

That followed a March 2013 incident in which a man killed two relatives and then slashed 11 people, including six children, outside a school in China’s commercial hub Shanghai.

In June last year, a bomb blast that killed eight people and injured dozens outside a kindergarten in Fengxian, eastern China, was blamed on a 22-year-old introvert with health problems who had written the words “death” and “destroy” on the walls of his apartment. Material to make a homemade explosive device was found in the home.

Another knife attack in 2015 killed 50

Nine suspects are being pursued after they launched a coordinated knife attack and killed 50 workers at a northwestern Chinese coal mine, reports Radio Free Asia.

The incident occurred on September 18 in the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region. The attackers are alleged to be Uyghur separatists.

After overtaking security guards, the attackers killed the workers while they were asleep in bunkhouses at the Sogan colliery in Aksu. Another 50 workers were injured. The suspects are believed to be hiding in a nearby mountain ravine where a manhunt operation is underway

In 2014 33 were killed and 130 wounded in another knife attack

A group of knife-wielding men attacked a train station in southwestern China on Saturday, killing at least 29 people and injuring more than 130 others in what Chinese officials called a terrorist strike, the official Xinhua News Agency said.

Four of the attackers were also shot dead and only one was captured alive after the mayhem, which broke out about 9 p.m. (8 a.m. ET) at the Kunming Railway Station in the capital of southwest China’s Yunnan Province.

I am sure David Hogg will be leading students in China soon to demand a ban on assault knives

Of course he needs to visit japan too

At least 19 people were killed and 26 injured in a stabbing spree at a facility for disabled people west of Tokyo, making it one of Japan’s deadliest mass killings since World War II. Nine men and 10 women, ranging in age from 18 to 70, were killed in the attack.

Officer Satomi Kurihara of the Sagamihara Fire Department confirmed the death toll at the Tsukui Yamayuri-en facility in Sagamihara, a residential area approximately 40 kilometers (25 miles) west of the capital.
Satoshi Uematsu, a 26-year-old who worked at the facility until February, broke in through a window about 2 a.m. Tuesday (1 p.m. ET Monday), Kanagawa Prefecture officials said at a news conference.
At 10:15 that morning, 37-year-old former janitorMamoru Takuma entered the school armed with a kitchen knife and began stabbing school children and teachers. He killed eight children, mostly aged seven and eight, and seriously wounded thirteen other children and two teachers.[2]
It is almost like evil predators will slaughter people even where guns are banned
