Rep. Katie Hill Resigns Amid Ethics Probe – Epoch Times

Democratic congresswoman Katie Hill of California has resigned amid an ethics probe and revelations of an affair with a campaign staffer.

In a statement on Sunday, the 32-year-old freshman from the Los Angeles area says leaving the House is best for her constituents, community, and country.

Hill is under investigation by a congressional committee for an alleged intimate relationship with a male senior aide, which Hill denies.

She has acknowledged an affair with a young female staffer. Compromising photos and purported text messages surfaced online this past week in an American publication and a British tabloid.

Last year, Hill won the last Republican-held House seat anchored in Los Angeles County…

Gropey Joe Says Cops Don’t Pull Over White Girls – PJ Media
.

.
During the Second Step Presidential Justice Forum at Benedict College, a historically black college, on Saturday, Joe Biden was asked by an African American woman in the audience, “If I were your daughter, what advice would you give me the next time I am stopped by the police?”

“If you were my daughter, you’d be a Caucasian girl and you wouldn’t be pulled over,” he said. Biden failed to realize how insulting and racist his comment was because he even tweeted a video of the exchange.

Does Joe Biden really think that cops don’t pull over white girls? Really? Instead of accusing law enforcement officers of institutional racism, perhaps Biden should have explained how his niece Caroline Biden avoided jail time after stealing $100,000 in a credit card scam…

EU Approves Brexit Delay Until January 31 As Johnson Hopes To Trigger General Election – Zero Hedge

Following reports that the Lib Dems and SNP are preparing to support Boris Johnson’s bid to hold new elections in December, leaders of the EU27 have apparently overcome their doubts about approving another extension of Article 50 (France’s Emmanuel Macron was reportedly dragging his feet, just like he did the last time around).

In a Monday morning tweet, EU Council President Donald Tusk announced that the leaders of the EU would accept Johnson’s request (made under legal duress) for another Brexit “flextension” until Jan. 31, 2020. The decision, Tusk said, will be “formalized” by a written procedure, which means that EU leaders will not need to hold a summit in Brussels to sign off.

According to the FT, the ministers agreed to the extension at a brief, 20-minute meeting Monday morning. All that’s left now is for the capitals of the EU to officially sign off on the legal procedures, which is expected to take a few days.

The pound was little-changed on the news of the Brexit extension, as the news was widely expected by the markets…

He Died “Screaming, Crying And Whimpering”: President Trump Confirms That ISIS Founder Abu Bakr Al-Baghdadi Has Been Killed By U.S. Special Forces- Daily Mail
.

.
Donald Trump announced Sunday morning that ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi ‘died like a dog’ as the result of a U.S. Special Ops forces raid on his hideout in northwest Syria.

‘Last night the United State brought the world’s number one terrorist leader to justice. Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi is dead,’ Trump said from the Diplomatic Reception Room, where just a week earlier he announced a ceasefire between Turkey and the Kurds.

‘He was the founder and leader of ISIS, the most ruthless and violent terror organization anywhere in the world,’ he continued as he described the events of the raid.

Al-Baghdadi, the president confirmed, detonated his suicide vest, killing himself and three children, during an overnight targeted attack in Syria’s Idlib province…

Missing 15-Year-Old Girl Found Alive After Mom Reports Seeing Her In Dozens Of Porn Videos Online – Crime Online

Florida police found a 15-year-old girl missing since last December this week and arrested the man she was with on charges of lewd and lascivious battery of a juvenile – detectives found the pair after the girl’s mother reported dozens of pornography videos of her daughter posted online.

The South Florida Sun-Sentinel said that Christopher Johnson, 30, denied having sex with the girl, although many of the 58 videos showed him with her. He’s being held on a $75,000 bond.

The girl was identified when she disappeared from her home in Sunrise on December 26, 2018, but because of her age and the seriousness of the crime, CrimeOnline will not be naming her now.

The Sunrise Police Department issued an alert about the disappearance on February 27, and she was spotted by the store clerk – who was a family friend – the following day at a convenience store…

Nazi Collaborator George Soros Endorses Fauxcahontas – Jerusalem Post
.

.
George Soros, a major donor to the Democratic Party, said in an interview that Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren is “the most qualified to be president.”

Warren, who is in the top tier of polls for the Democratic presidential nomination, has “emerged as the clear-cut person to beat,” Soros said in an interview with The New York Times published Friday.

“I don’t take a public stance, but I do believe that she is the most qualified to be president,” he said. “I’m not endorsing anybody because I want to work with whoever,” he added. “I don’t express my views generally because I have to live with whoever the electorate chooses.”…

AG Barr’s Review Of Russia Probe Origins Now A Criminal Investigation; GOP Lawmakers Demand Watchdog Probe Of Leaks – Fox News

U.S. Attorney John Durham’s probe into the origins of the Russia investigation has become a criminal inquiry, two sources told Fox News on Thursday – and an upcoming report on alleged FBI surveillance abuses against the Trump campaign will shed light on why, one source said.

Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz said Thursday his report would be available to the public soon, with “few” redactions.

The investigation’s new status means Durham can subpoena witnesses, file charges, and impanel fact-finding grand juries. Fox News reported on Tuesday that Durham’s probe had expanded significantly based on new evidence uncovered during a recent trip to Rome with Attorney General William Barr.

Top Republicans have demanded that Intelligence Community Inspector General (ICIG) Michael Atkinson explain why the watchdog hasn’t said if it’s investigating “a number of leaks of highly sensitive information” in recent years…

Disgraced DemoNazi Congresswoman Katie Hill Pictured Naked With Iron Cross Tattoo Hitting Giant Bong – Big League Politics
.

.
Earlier this week, Congresswoman Katie Hill (D-CA) denied any wrongdoing after nude photographs of her with a staffer were revealed to the public. She attempted to put the blame on her estranged husband, who she claimed without evidence is abusive.

“The fact is I am going through a divorce from an abusive husband who seems determined to try to humiliate me,” Hill said to Politico.

“I am disgusted that my opponents would seek to exploit such a private matter for political gain. This coordinated effort to try to destroy me and people close to me is despicable and will not succeed,” Hill added. “I, like many women who have faced attacks like this before, am stronger than those who want me to be afraid.”…

Trump Administration Testing Out Program That Quickly Deports Migrants Who Arrive At Border – Daily Caller

The Trump administration has launched a pilot program that expedites the time it takes to process and deport asylum seekers at the U.S-Mexico border.

Migrants arriving at the border in El Paso, Texas, can receive a decision regarding their asylum claims in 10 days or less, rather than undergo an asylum process that could take months or years, according to a report from the Washington Post. The new program, known as Prompt Asylum Claim Review, aims to deter illegal immigration and keep asylum seekers out of the U.S.

The program just launched in October and is being conducted in the El Paso area only.

Under Prompt Asylum Claim Review, migrants who have been apprehended in the El Paso area are transferred to a 1,500-bed Border Patrol facility. They are then given one day to phone a lawyer or family member, and then they are interviewed by an asylum officer to determine if their asylum claims are credible, according to Customs and Border Protection officials who spoke with the Washington Post…

U.S. Senate To Vote On Resolution That Calls House Impeachment Proceedings ‘Illegitimate’ – PJ Media
.

.
Three days ago, Donald Trump told Republicans to “get tougher and fight” impeachment. In response, Republicans in the Senate are set to introduce a resolution that calls the House impeachment inquiry “illegitimate.” The resolution already has 44 Republicans on board, including Majority Leader Mitch McConnell.

The Hill:

Graham, during a press conference with reporters, lashed out the House impeachment inquiry calling it a “secret proceeding” and a “rogue action” that “denies due process.”

“The process in the House today I think is a danger to the future of the presidency,” Graham told reporters…

Generation Snowflake Update: Oxford University Students Demand That Clapping Be Banned Because Noise Could Trigger Anxiety – Daily Mail

Snowflake students at Oxford University are the latest to demand that clapping should be banned because applause noise can trigger anxiety and want ‘jazz hands’ to be used instead.

The idea for a British sign language alternative for clapping involving the waving of hands was put forward at the student union’s first meeting of the year on Tuesday.

Sabbatical Officers Roisin McCallion, Vice President for Welfare and Equal Opportunity and Ebie Edwards Cole, Chair for Oxford SU Disabilities Campaign, successfully passed the motion to mandate the encouragement of silent clapping.

They argued that alternatives to traditional clapping have been in place to aid accessibility in some organisations since 2015.

The ban on clapping would be at student union meetings and events where traditional clapping and cheering ‘presents an access issue’ to those with anxiety disorders. One former student, said: ‘Oxford University Student Union is always seeking to be more accommodating for students…

Trump Administration Sues DemoNazi-Controlled California Over ‘Illegal’ Cap-And-Trade Pact With Quebec – Epoch Times
.

.
The Trump administration is suing California over what it calls an “illegal” cap-and-trade agreement with the Canadian province of Quebec, alleging the Golden State is conducting its own “independent foreign policy in the area of greenhouse gas regulation.”

The lawsuit comes as the administration prepares to formally withdraw the United States from the 2015 Paris Agreement on climate change, in which close to 200 countries pledged to reduce emissions claimed to contribute to global warming, The New York Times reports, citing unnamed sources.

“I withdrew the United States from the terrible, one-sided Paris Climate Accord. It was a total disaster for our country…

Florida Man Caught ‘Having Sex With Stuffed Olaf’ Doll Inside Target Store – Crime Online

A Florida man was arrested after he allegedly had sex with a stuffed animal inside a department store on Tuesday.

Click Orlando reports that 20-year-old Cody Meader is accused of “dry humping” an Olaf doll from the Disney movie “Frozen,” while inside a St. Petersburg Target store off of 31st Street, on Tuesday afternoon at around 2:30 p.m. Witnesses who saw the alleged act contact authorities, while Target employees detained the man until officers with the St. Petersburg Police Department arrived.

According to the responding officers, witnesses said Meader ejaculated onto Olaf and when he was finished, he put the stuffed animal back on the shelf. He then allegedly grabbed a “large unicorn stuffed animal” and repeated the same act.

Meader was taken into custody and charged with criminal mischief. The police report stated that Meader admitted that he “nutted on Olaf.”…

Economic Illiteracy Update: Target Slashes Employees’ Hours After Raising Its Minimum Wage To $15 An Hour – Independent Journal Review
.

.
In 2017, Target announced it would raise its minimum wage to $15 an hour by the end of 2020, drawing praise from labor advocates who have called for other retailers to pay their employees a “living wage.”

But the new wage hike isn’t all it cracked up it be, according to a new report by CNN Business, which found the big-box retailer has been slashing employees’ hours since the announced wage hike:

“CNN Business interviewed 23 current and former Target employees in recent months, including department managers, who say hours have been scaled back even as Target has increased starting wages…

First Look At ‘Sycamore’, Google’s Quantum Computer – Gizmodo

Between the mountainous and coastal vistas of Goleta, California, sits an unassuming office on the side of a building next to the freeway. It could belong to any Southern California company; workers sit in gray cubicles beneath fluorescent lights, and there’s a rack to hold employees’ bikes and surfboards.

But at those desks are physicists and computer scientists developing a computer like none you’ve ever seen before. Behind a set of double doors, cylindrical machines hold computer chips at temperatures colder than the vacuum of space.

Here, Google’s scientists have been toiling to create a computer processor that can solve a problem that’s too hard for the world’s best supercomputers. Today, they announced they’d succeeded: Their Sycamore quantum computer was able to complete a problem in 200 seconds that a supercomputer would need 10,000 years to solve, according to their estimates.

It’s a single, contrived problem, and the chip would fail in a race with a supercomputer to add two and two together…

House Republicans stormed a closed-door hearing Wednesday to protest Democrats’ impeachment inquiry process, breaking up the deposition of a top Defense Department official who was testifying about President Trump’s dealings with Ukraine.

“They crashed the party,” said Rep. Harley Rouda (D-Calif.), a member of the Oversight and Reform Committee, one of three House panels leading the impeachment probe.

Dozens of Republicans, including some members of leadership like House Minority Whip Steve Scalise (R-La.), barged into the secure hearing room in the Capitol basement where Laura Cooper, the deputy assistant secretary of Defense for Russia, Ukraine and Eurasia, was set to provide private testimony…

Hong Kong Government Officially Withdraws Extradition Bill That Sparked Massive Protests – OANN

Hong Kong authorities formally withdrew a controversial extradition bill on Wednesday following months of protests. The bill has been the main source of anger for pro-Democracy demonstrators, who took to the streets to promote solidarity against the legislation.

Hong Kong’s Secretary of Security, John Lee Ka-Chiu, spoke about the suspension of the bill.

“As a result of the divided public views in regards to the bill, there have been conflicts within society,” he stated. “As we have started to review the matter, the administration decided to suspend the amendment exercise.”

Despite the removal of the bill, protests are reportedly expected to continue due to activists’ additional demands. The protesters are hoping the government will launch a full investigation into police brutality and grant amnesty to arrested demonstrators.

The bill was first introduced in April and allowed for criminal suspects to be extradited to mainland China…

Fake Impeachment Update: Devin Nunes Says Republicans Destroyed Bill Taylor’s Testimony In Minutes – Right Scoop

Yesterday Team Schiff selectively leaked out Bill Taylor’s opening statement to the Washington Post, where he declared that there was definitely a quid pro quo. Even some on the right were saying this looks bad.

I’m a lot more cautious these days when stuff like this leaks out of these secret hearings because we know Democrats are trying to establish a narrative that supports impeachment.

Also we know shifty Schiff’s own staff met with Taylor back in August during their trip to Ukraine. So already something smells bad about this, especially considering Schiff’s staff coordinated with the fake whistleblower before he filed his complaint and now is going to great lengths to conceal his identity.

Well sure enough, Devin Nunes reported on Hannity last night that John Ratcliff destroyed Taylor’s testimony within minutes of his opening statement. I don’t think anyone is surprised to hear that Taylor’s testimony didn’t stand up to scrutiny by Republicans…

President Trump Announces Permanent Cease-Fire In Syria, Lifts U,S, Sanctions On Turkey – New York Post

President Trump on Wednesday said Turkey has agreed to make the cease-fire in Syria permanent and therefore all sanctions against Turkey will be lifted.

“I have, therefore, instructed the secretary of the Treasury to lift all sanctions imposed Oct. 14 in response to Turkey’s original offensive moves against the Kurds,” Trump said at the White House. “So the sanctions will be lifted unless something happens that we’re not happy with,” he added.

He also said Turkey, Syria and “all forms of Kurds” have been fighting for centuries and he will “let someone else fight over this long-bloodstained sand. We were supposed to be there for 30 days and that was 10 years ago,” Trump said. “And now we’re leaving.”…

HUD Secretary Ben Carson Opens Trump Cabinet Meeting With Prayer – CNS

Housing and Urban Development Secretary Dr. Ben Carson said a prayer at the opening of a cabinet meeting at the White House on Monday, pointing out that “separation of church and state means that the church does not dominate the state, and it means the state does not dominate the church.”

Trump asked Carson to say “grace” at the beginning of the cabinet meeting.

Our kind Father in Heaven, we’re so thankful for the many blessings that you have bestowed upon us in this country, and we’re thankful for the people of courage who have been here before us, who have fought hard for the rights of our country.

And we thank you for President Donald Trump, who also exhibits great courage in face of constant criticism. And we ask that you would give him strength to endure and the wisdom lead, and to recognize you as the sovereigns of the universe with the solution to everything. And the people around the president – the vice president, the cabinet, the advisors – give us all an understanding heart and a compassionate heart…
