Queer Mayor Buttigieg Sued For Hiding ID Cards For Illegal Aliens – WorldNetDaily

Government watchdog Judicial Watch is suing the administration of Mayor Pete Buttigieg in South Bend, Indiana, for documentation of its hiring of a private organization to create ID cards for illegal aliens.

“Mayor Buttigieg’s city administration in South Bend is in cover-up mode on his work for special ID cards to make it easier for illegal aliens to stay in the United States contrary to law,” said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton. “Judicial Watch made simple open records requests and have faced nothing but games from the Buttigieg administration – which is why we had to sue.”

The organization announced Tuesday it filed the case against South Bend for records of communications between Buttigieg, a Democratic hopeful for the 2020 presidential nomination, and La Casa de Amistad, a not-for-profit corporation.

Judicial Watch went to court after city officials failed repeatedly to respond as required by law to open records requests…

SpaceX Launches AMOS-17 Israeli Communications Satellite – UPI
.

.
SpaceX launched the AMOS-17 communications satellite for Israeli company Spacecom from Florida on Tuesday evening despite an unfavorable weather outlook.

The Falcon 9 rocket lifted off at 7:23 p.m., a half hour later than originally scheduled, due to earlier rain and clouds in the area. The launch was from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Launch Complex 40.

The rocket’s first-stage booster flew twice before in 2018. It was intentionally not recovered this time due to the requirements for placing the satellite in orbit. SpaceX was trying to recover the fairing, or nose cone, halves after they fell into the ocean. Spacecom calls the AMOS-17 the “most advanced satellite designed for Africa.”…

Conservative Activist Cleans 12 Tons Of Trash From Baltimore Streets With 200 Volunteers – Epoch Times

Some 200 volunteers combed through the streets of northwest Baltimore on Aug. 5, cleaning up trash and weeds in an “Americans Helping Americans” event organized by conservative activist Scott Presler.

Starting at 7 a.m. at the corner of North Fulton Avenue and Westwood Avenue, the volunteers spread through the surrounding blocks. By 8 p.m. they had collected over 12 tons of trash – destination junkyard. Many locals expressed gratitude to the participants, and some joined in, Presler said in a phone call.

He learned from talking to the locals that “the people of Baltimore love their country and love their city and they’re proud to live there,” but the government is not doing enough to solve the trash problem – specifically illegal dumping at abandoned buildings.

The city has struggled with trash in its streets for years and its shrinking population has left some 16,000 uninhabitable empty houses…

Zimbabwe On Verge Of Economic Collapse – Zero Hedge
.

.
Zimbabwe’s economic situation will continue to sour in 2H19 due to unfavorable weather conditions, foreign currency shortages and widespread power cuts, its finance minister said, as he responded to a deteriorating economic outlook by blacking out inflation statistics through the second half, and finally acknowledged what the International Monetary Fund told him in April: economic turmoil ahead.

Prices of essential goods and services have, in some cases, quadrupled this summer, due to the government renaming the RTGS currency as the Zimbabwe dollar, which has been on a rapid decline amid shortages, including electrical power, petrol products, American dollars, and food, reported Bloomberg…

Hey, New York! How’s That $15 An Hour Minimum Wage Working For Ya? – Rick Moran

The lede from this Wall Street Journal article says it all: “More than six months after the $15 minimum wage went into effect in New York City, business leaders and owners say the increased labor costs have forced them to cut staff, eliminate work shifts and raise prices.”

Duh.

Sarah McNally, owner of McNally Jackson Books, says, “There’s absolutely no benefit to being a retail business in New York.” The unions, the conniving politicians, the anti-capitalist activists who were the driving force behind the “Fight for 15” movement have done a great job. They have all benefited while the workers and businesses have suffered the consequences.

Susannah Koteen, owner of Lido Restaurant in Harlem, said she worries about the impact raising wages could have on her restaurant, where she employs nearly 40 people. She hasn’t had to lay off anyone, but the increase has forced her to cut back on shifts and be more stringent about overtime…

‘Flagrantly illegal’: President Trump Sues California Over New Law Targeting His Tax Returns – Sacramento Bee
.

.
President Donald Trump, the California Republican Party, and the national GOP joined together Tuesday to sue California over a new tax-return law Gov. Gavin Newsom signed last week. The law requires Trump and other presidential candidates to release the last five years of their tax returns to get their names on the state’s 2020 primary ballot.

Trump has yet to weigh in on the issue himself. His personal attorney Jay Sekulow criticized “California’s attempt to circumvent the constitution.”

“Today we have taken decisive action in federal court challenging California’s attempt to circumvent the U.S. Constitution,” Sekulow said in a statement. “The issue of whether the president should release his federal tax returns was litigated in the 2016 election and the American people spoke…

America Is Drowning In The Left’s Lies About Trump – Dennis Prager

The president of the United States, Donald Trump, never said there were “fine” Nazis or Ku Klux Klansmen.

This is one of the two great lies of our time – the other being that all Trump supporters are racists – and perhaps in all of American history. I cannot think of a lie of such significance that was held as truth by so many Americans, by every leading politician of one of the two major political parties and disseminated by virtually the entire media.

The major news media need to understand these are important reasons that half of America considers them frauds. And we get no pleasure from this fact. The reason we don’t recoil when the president labels the mainstream media “fake news” is that we know the charge is true.

Has one major media news outlet yet apologized to the American people for preoccupying them for nearly two years with the lie of “Trump collusion” with Russia? Has one Democrat? Of course not…

President Trump Freezes All Venezuelan Government Assets In Bid To Pressure Maduro – Reuters
.

.
U.S. President Donald Trump imposed a freeze on all Venezuelan government assets in the United States on Monday, sharply escalating an economic and diplomatic pressure campaign aimed at removing socialist President Nicolas Maduro from power.

The executive order signed by Trump goes well beyond the sanctions imposed in recent months against Venezuela’s state-run oil company PDVSA [PDVSA.UL] and the country’s financial sector, as well as measures against dozens of Venezuelan officials and entities.

Trump’s action, the toughest yet against Maduro, not only bans U.S. companies from dealings with the Venezuela government but also appears to open the door to possible sanctions against foreign firms or individuals that assist it…

U.S. Designates China As Currency Manipulator For First Time In Decades – Epoch Times

The U.S. government has determined that China is manipulating its currency and will engage with the International Monetary Fund to eliminate unfair competition from Beijing, U.S. Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin said in a statement on Monday, Aug. 5.

The move brings already tense U.S.-Chinese relations to a boil and fulfills U.S. President Donald Trump’s promise to label China a currency manipulator for the first time since 1994.

The U.S. action follows China allowing its yuan to weaken past the key 7-per-dollar level on Aug. 5 for the first time in more than a decade. Beijing later said it would stop buying U.S. agricultural products, inflaming a yearlong trade war with the United States.

The sharp 1.4 percent drop in the yuan comes days after Trump stunned financial markets by vowing to impose 10 percent tariffs on the remaining $300 billion of Chinese imports from Sept. 1, abruptly breaking a brief ceasefire in a bruising trade war that has disrupted global supply chains and slowed growth…

Puerto Rico Senate Sues To Oust New Governor – The Hill

Puerto Rico’s Senate filed a lawsuit Monday seeking to block Gov. Pedro Pierluisi from continuing as the territory’s governor, in the wake of a stunted succession process last week.

Pierluisi was sworn in Friday after outgoing Gov. Ricardo Rossellَ’s resignation, but never received the Senate’s approval as Rossellَ’s successor. Pierluisi had been acting secretary of state for nearly a week. A scheduled vote for the Senate to confirm his nomination was brought down Thursday by Senate President Thomas Rivera Schatz.

The territory’s House voted on Friday to confirm the nomination, and Pierluisi was sworn in under a recess appointment law, despite the island’s legislature having convened for an emergency session.

“Puerto Rico is living a situation without historical precedent,” wrote Rivera Schatz.

The Senate has requested the island’s Supreme Court to take the case, but the high court has not yet decided whether it will do so…

Migrant Rapes Prison Priest In Prayer Room During Spiritual Guidance – News Punch

A migrant serving time at Sweden’s high-security Hall Prison locked the door to the room serving as a space for prayer and spiritual guidance before brutally attacking and raping a female prison priest, according to Swedish reports.

The rape behind the walls at Hall Prison, located 5 kilometres southeast of Sِdertنlje, happened in December last year but the trial was not held until June, Swedish news outlet Aftonbladet reports.

The female priest said that the prisoner first locked the door to the room where she was supposed to help him with spiritual guidance, before placing a chair under the door handle to ensure that nobody could enter. Then he attacked her.

Now, the migrant’s prison sentence has been prolonged for three years. Afterwards, he is to be expelled from Sweden for ten years. The priest, who stated that she was in “absolutely shock” could not scream and was too afraid to ring the security bell in the room…

Violent Chaos Breaks Out In Hong Kong: Police Stations Set On Fire, Triads Beat Protesters, City Paralyzed – Zero Hedge

The situation in Hong Kong is rapidly deteriorating, with violence breaking out in seven locations Monday afternoon as the citywide strike crippled transportation.

What were supposed to be peaceful sit-ins in different districts turned into riots, “with Wong Tai Sin and Harcourt Road seeing the most intense confrontations as protesters kneel instead of flee, to shield themselves while tear gas rounds and sponge grenades rain on them,” according to SCMP.

Protesters threw a suspected gasoline bomb at police after first being attacked by bricks. Riot police used crowd control measures in at least five locations – targeting those filing the streets…

Iranian Government Pirates Seize Another Oil Tanker – PJ Media

The Iranian Revolutionary Guard has captured another oil tanker under the pretense that the ship was carrying Iranian oil to be sold to foreign customers.

This excuse is ridiculous because the oil industry in Iran is totally controlled by the government. This means that even if the tanker was smuggling oil, it had already paid someone in the government for it – probably a lesser-ranking official who didn’t rate “protection.”

Currently, Iran is under sanctions for threatening its neighbors and carrying out illegal missile tests. It should be noted that many Iranian leaders have enriched themselves smuggling oil using various cutouts and fake companies to hide the transactions. The fig leaf of “oil smuggling” can’t hide Iran’s egregious violation of international law.

Fox News:

The ship was seized on Wednesday near Farsi Island…

German Customs Seize 4.5 Tons Of Cocaine Disguised As Soybeans, Worth $1.1 Billion – Fox News
.

.
German customs announced Friday they have confiscated a record 4.5 tons of cocaine in a container shipped from Uruguay – a haul worth an estimated 1 billion euros ($1.1 billion).

Hamburg customs agency said the drugs were discovered two weeks ago when officers were completing a routine shipment check, which resulted in the country’s largest single drug bust to date.

More than 4,200 packets of pressed cocaine in 211 bags were hidden inside the container, which paperwork claimed to be full of soybeans, according to authorities. The shipment from Montevideo, Uruguay, was expected to be transported to Antwerp, Belgium, but plans were thwarted when officials opened the shipment in northern Germany to only find black sports bags…

Feds Charge 90, Nab Dozens Of Guns And $1 Million In Baltimore Drug Raids – Daily Caller

Federal authorities have charged 90 people, nabbed 51 guns and seized $1 million as well as huge amounts of illegal drugs as a result of drug raids in Baltimore.

Baltimore’s U.S. District Attorney announced the news of the July operations early Saturday morning. The raids were the result of law enforcement cooperation between federal, state and municipal authorities, Fox News reported.

Along with the guns and cash, police found large supplies of illegal drugs like fentanyl, heroin, cocaine and marijuana.

“Reducing violent crime in Baltimore is job one. It’s what we in law enforcement think about morning, noon, and night,” U.S. Attorney Robert K. Hur said in a statement, according to Fox News. “We will continue to do everything we can to prosecute the violent criminals who wreak havoc in and terrorize Baltimore’s neighborhoods”

The FBI in Baltimore also tweeted the news…

Politicizing Murder With Lies – Bruce Thornton
.

.
The bodies in Gilroy, El Paso, and Dayton were still in the morgue when the progressive “carrion-picking crows” started politicizing the murders. But everything they said about gun control, “white nationalism,” and Trump’s culpability was based on lies and stale clichés recycled for political gain.

The argument that more gun control laws will lessen substantially such murders has been disproven with facts over and over. In the Nineties, gun homicides fell by half, even as the number of guns increased 56%.

The reason has been obvious since Prohibition in the Twenties: if enough people want something, black markets and criminal gangs will exist to get it for them…

Illegal Alien Charged With Murdering Four Americans Claims He Is ‘Mentally Disabled’ – Breitbart

An illegal alien charged with murdering four Americans over the course of a week in Nevada is set to claim that he is “mentally disabled,” his defense attorneys have confirmed.

Wilbur Ernesto Martinez-Guzman, a 20-year-old illegal alien from El Salvador, was charged with murdering 56-year-old Connie Koontz, 74-year-old Sophia Renken, 81-year-old Gerald David, and his 80-year-old wife, Sharon David, between January 10 and 15 after prosecutors said he was looking to steal money from his victims to buy more meth. The state of Nevada is seeking the death penalty.

Now, Martinez-Guzman’s lawyers are expected to have the accused murderer declared “mentally disabled,” KOLO8 News reported. Already, the illegal alien’s attorney has said his client’s IQ could potentially be lower than 66 and that he is planning to go to El Salvador to gather additional evidence.

Connie Koontz, a mother, was allegedly murdered by the illegal alien just a day before her mother’s 80th birthday…

Violence Explodes At Tommy Robinson Protest In Central London As Antifa Terrorists Stage Counter-Protest – Daily Mail
.

.
A clash between pro and anti-Tommy Robinson protesters in central London has seen a heavy police presence try to stop the violence. Supporters of the jailed former English Defence League leader marched down Regent Street demanding Robinson be freed from prison.

Robinson, whose real name is Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, was handed a nine-month sentence at the Old Bailey last month – of which he will serve just nine-and-a-half weeks – after he was found to have committed contempt of court.

Some of the protesters broke strict conditions imposed by the police which saw them tackled to the ground by officers with batons. Mounted police corralled demonstrators away from certain areas they weren’t allowed to go into…

Porn-Addicted Florida Man Steals $200,000 From Family To Give To Webcam Girl, Then Kills Them – Crime Online

A Florida man has been convicted of killing his parents and brother after they demanded he stop communicating with a woman whom he met on a pornographic webcam site, the Orlando Sentinel reports.

On Wednesday, jurors found Grant Amato, 29, guilty in connection with the January shooting deaths of his parents, Chad Amato, 59, and Margaret Amato, 61, as well as his brother, Cody Amato, 31.

Authorities reportedly alleged that Grant Amato had stolen more than $200,000 from his parents and brother to send to a woman named Silvie, a Bulgarian webcam model. Amato also allegedly sold guns he stole from Cody and had taken out a $65,000 loan on the family’s house, all in an effort to present himself as successful and wealthy.

“Grant fell in love with a woman named Silvie,” Assistant State Attorney Domenick Leo told jurors during closing arguments, according to the Orlando Sentinel. “Not only did he fall in love with her, he became obsessed with her – to the point that she’s all that mattered.”…
