Spineless Deputy Peterson And Two School Counselors Recommended Nikolas Cruz Be Involuntarily Committed In 2016 – Hot Air
.

.
The Associated Press reports that School Resource Officer Scot Peterson and two high school counselors wanted to involuntary commit Nikolas Cruz for a mental health evaluation in 2016. Had he undergone the commitment he likely would not have been able to purchase a gun.

The documents, which are part of Cruz’s criminal case in the shooting, show that he had written the word “kill” in a notebook, told a classmate that he wanted to buy a gun and use it, and had cut his arm supposedly in anger because he had broken up with a girlfriend.

He also told another student he had drunk gasoline and was throwing up. Calls had even been made to the FBI about the possibility of Cruz using a gun at school. The documents were provided by a psychological assessment service initiated by Cruz’s mother…

States Win Another Big Case Against Obamacare – CNS

In a decision that has gotten almost no media attention, six states led by Texas have won another round against the Obama administration implementation of Obamacare.

Judge Reed O’Connor, a federal judge in Texas, threw out the Obama administration’s imposition of a federal fee or tax on states as a condition of continuing to receive Medicaid funds. O’Conner ruled March 5 that the fee violates the non-delegation doctrine of the Constitution and the requirements of the Administrative Procedure Act.

The 2010 Obamacare law imposed a “health insurance providers fee” on medical insurers to help pay for the subsidies provided by the federal government to individuals purchasing health insurance. However, the law specifically exempted states from having to pay this fee.

Texas and the other states who filed this lawsuit against the federal government in 2015 provide a majority of Medicaid services for their residents by contracting with, and paying a monthly fee to, managed care organizations, which then provide health care to eligible Medicaid beneficiaries…

Fascist FDA Looks To Lower Nicotine Levels In Cigarettes To Reduce Smoking Rates – Staten Island Advance
.

.
The U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) is working to lower the amount of nicotine in cigarettes to dramatically reduce smoking rates.

“We’re taking a pivotal step today that could ultimately bring us closer to our vision of a world where combustible cigarettes would no longer create or sustain addiction – making it harder for future generations to become addicted in the first place and allowing more currently addicted smokers to quit or switch to potentially less harmful products,” said FDA Commissioner Scott Gottlieb in a press release.

The agency is issuing an advance notice of proposed rule making that would explore lowering nicotine in cigarettes minimally or to non-addictive levels…

A History Of Alleged Intimidation And Tampering In House Hacking Case Marked By Witnesses’ Silence – Daily Caller

Soon after the House of Representatives found that Democratic IT aide Imran Awan and his family made “unauthorized access” to congressional data, Imran hurriedly vacated his house, renting it in February 2017 to a former Marine. Imran angrily told his new tenant, Andre Taggart, that he was homeless and to refuse any certified mail in Imran’s name, Taggart said.

A lawyer contacted Taggart about some items Imran left behind in the house and threatened to sue if he didn’t return them, saying he’d accuse Taggart of theft, Taggart said. The equipment included Blackberries and “hard drives they look like they tried to destroy,” as well as laptops and “a lot of brand new expensive [printer] toner,” he said.

Based on his military training, they appeared to Taggart to be government equipment, and he called the police. The Capitol Police and FBI arrived to collect the computer equipment, and Taggart moved out of the house in May, he said.

In late August, Taggart felt that there was enough distance between Imran and his family that it was safe to tell his story publicly…

Democrat Councilman From D.C. Suggests Jews Control The Weather, Says Sorry – Newsweek
.

.
A D.C. lawmaker suggested that the Rothschilds – a prominent Jewish family – control the weather, in a video posted to social media last week. D.C. council member Trayon White Sr. posted the footage to his Facebook page at around 7.20 a.m. on Friday.

In the clip, White can be heard making the outlandish remarks while filming snowfall from inside his car with a cellphone. “Man, it just started snowing out of nowhere this morning, man. Y’all better pay attention to this climate control, man, this climate manipulation,” he said.

White added: “And D.C. keep talking about, ‘We a resilient city.’ And that’s a model based off the Rothschilds controlling the climate to create natural disasters they can pay for to own the cities, man. Be careful.”…

Diversity Fail? All-Women Engineering Team Blamed For Collapse Of Miami Pedestrian Bridge – Sandra Rose

The all-women engineering team that designed the ill-fated pedestrian foot bridge at Miami’s Florida International University were highly touted for their advances in a field that is typically dominated by men.

But critics are pointing the finger of blame at the female engineers for design flaws that may have brought the bridge down.

Investigators are still on the scene of last week’s bridge collapse that killed 6 people and injured 9 on the FIU campus in Southwest Miami. The investigation is focusing on the work done by a team of all-women engineers who were employed by one of the construction firms that designed and built the bridge.

Munilla Construction Management (MCM), the South Miami-based firm that designed the FIU foot bridge, has been sued multiple times for unsafe practices in the past. In early March MCM was sued by a construction worker who was severely injured when MCM’s “makeshift bridge” at Miami’s International Airport collapsed…

Boston Radio Host Howie Carr Plans To Sneak DNA From Elizabeth (Fauxcahontas) Warren If She Won’t Take Test – Washington Times
.

.
Sen. Elizabeth Warren may want to keep a firm grip on her soda cans for the foreseeable future.

Boston radio host Howie Carr revealed Friday that he attempted six years ago to obtain a DNA sample from a pen cap she removed with her teeth before she signed a book – and said he plans to try it again unless she agrees to take a test voluntarily.

Mr. Carr offered to send her overnight a DNA kit and challenged her to take the test with him “at the cheese shop of your choosing in Harvard Square” in order to resolve the dispute over her claims of Cherokee ancestry.

“I have a backup plan, but it will involve some sneaky stuff, which I’ve tried before,” Mr. Carr said in a Boston Herald op-ed…

4th Package Explosion In Austin Injures 2 Men; Trip Wire Suspected – KPRC

Another explosion was reported Sunday in Austin, Texas, and emergency officials responded to reports of two men injured.

Austin-Travis County Emergency Management Services tweeted that an explosion in southwest Austin had injured two men in their 20s. The explosion was reported at 8:32 p.m. in the 4800 block of Dawn Song Drive in southwest Austin.

Officials said both men suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries.

Austin police Chief Brian Manley said investigators will keep the surrounding area closed at least until daybreak as they collect evidence.

There was no immediate word on what caused the explosion, but Manley said in an early Monday morning news conference that a trip wire may have been used to detonate the bomb. Police urged people living nearby to stay in their homes and to pay attention to their surroundings…

‘Afghan Refugee’ Shouting ‘Allahu Akbar’ Charges German Chancellor Angela Merkel – American Mirror
.

.
German Chancellor Angela Merkel loves the Muslim refugees flooding into her country – but there may be one less in that category after a man charged her shouting “Allahu Akbar” this week.

Video shows Merkel exiting a building and approaching an awaiting car as a belligerent man being wrestled to the ground by security forces. The man is reportedly an Afghan refugee.

It happened on Wednesday morning at the exit of the Berlin Reichstag building. After her re-election, Merkel was about to get into her limousine when the stranger ran towards her.

After all that has happened in European cities in recent years, after all the assassinations and knife attacks, often accompanied by “Allahu Akbar” calls, the scene had to scare anyone who stood by or watched the scene on a video screen…

McCabe Waiting For His Indictment Now – Thomas Lifson

The odds are very high that an indictment will be forthcoming for Andrew McCabe. As the ever-alert Sundance of Conservative Tree House points out, the statement on his firing by AG Sessions specifically noted that he “lacked candor” (the FBI’s expression for lying) “under oath.”

After an extensive and fair investigation and according to Department of Justice procedure, the Department’s Office of the Inspector General (OIG) provided its report on allegations of misconduct by Andrew McCabe to the FBI’s Office of Professional Responsibility (OPR).

The FBI’s OPR then reviewed the report and underlying documents and issued a disciplinary proposal recommending the dismissal of Mr. McCabe.

Both the OIG and FBI OPR reports concluded that Mr. McCabe had made an unauthorized disclosure to the news media and lacked candor – including under oath – on multiple occasions.

The FBI expects every employee to adhere to the highest standards of honesty, integrity, and accountability…

Nine Major Problems With James Comey’s Involvement With The Trump Hoax Dossier – Aaron Klein
.

.
James Comey took to Twitter on Saturday to respond to an earlier tweet by President Donald Trump about the Russia probe, with the former FBI director exclaiming that the “American people will hear my story very soon.”

“And they can judge for themselves who is honorable and who is not,” Comey added. Comey was responding to Trump’s charge that the ex-FBI chief was aware of illicit activity at the FBI regarding the probe into unsubstantiated claims of Russian collusion.

Below, in no particular order, are nine major problems with Comey’s actions in the Russia probe. This while he tweets about determining who is “honorable.”

1 – Comey signed FISA applications that cited the largely discredited anti-Trump dossier as purported evidence to conduct surveillance on Carter Page…

McCabe Just Made Life Tough For Comey And The Special Counsel – Jonathan Turley

Following his termination late Friday night, former FBI deputy director Andrew McCabe declared that he was “singled out” after “unrelenting” attacks by President Trump and critics. McCabe’s objections are less than credible, given the virtually unprecedented recommendation of career officials to fire the one-time acting FBI director.

However, McCabe may have rectified his “singled out” status with his long statement criticizing his termination: In the middle of it is a line that could be viewed as incriminating fired FBI director James Comey, not just in leaking sensitive information but also in lying to Congress.

McCabe is accused of misleading investigators about allegedly giving information to a former Wall Street Journal reporter about the investigation of Hillary Clinton and the Clinton family’s charitable foundation. McCabe asserts in his post-firing statement that he not only had authority to “share” that information to the media but did so with the knowledge of “the director.” The FBI director at the time was Comey…

Russia Votes To Hand Vladimir Putin 4th Presidential Term – Circa
.

.
Vladimir Putin’s victory in Russia’s presidential election Sunday isn’t in doubt. The only real question is whether voters will turn out in big enough numbers to hand him a convincing mandate for his fourth term – and many Russians are facing intense pressure to do so.

Casting his ballot in Moscow, Putin seemed confident of victory, saying he would consider any percentage of votes a success. “The program that I propose for the country is the right one,” he said.

Election monitors were reporting irregularities at voting stations across Russia, even though election authorities were under orders to ensure that the voting was free and fair after violations marred Putin’s last election in 2012…

U.S. Factory Output Jumped 1.2 Percent In February – Breitbart

U.S. factory output jumped last month, led by big gains in the production of cars, computers and furniture.

The Federal Reserve said Friday that manufacturing output rebounded 1.2 percent in February, the most since October and following three months of weak or negative readings. Factory production has increased a healthy 2.5 percent in the past year.

Manufacturers are benefiting from robust spending by consumers and businesses and solid growth overseas.

The dollar has declined in value over the past year, which also makes U.S. goods cheaper overseas. Many economists expect last year’s tax cuts and rising optimism among business owners to fuel greater investment in machinery and information technology equipment.

“The big picture in this report is that the manufacturing upswing is back on track,” said Ian Shepherdson, chief economist at Pantheon Economics…

Trump Calls Out Comey For Lying Under Oath – Daily Caller
.

.
President Donald Trump tweeted Sunday that former FBI Director James Comey “clearly” lied under oath in his testimony before Congress in 2017.

“Wow, watch Comey lie under oath to Senator G,” he tweeted Sunday morning, “When asked ‘have you ever been an anonymous source… or known someone else to be an anonymous source…?’ He said strongly ‘never, no.’ He lied.”

Indeed, it does appear that Comey may have misrepresented the truth during his congressional testimony in 2017. The following is an excerpt from his questioning before Congress:

Director Comey, have you ever been an anonymous source in news reports about matters relating to the Trump investigation or the Clinton investigation?…

Companies Behind Florida Bridge Collapse Have History Of Fines, Failures, Lawsuits – Fox News

The two firms responsible for building Florida International University’s “instant bridge,” which suddenly collapsed Thursday and left six people dead, are coming under increased scrutiny as details emerge of past engineering failures and inspection fines – including a recent accusation that one hired “unskilled” and “careless” workers.

The $14.2-million pedestrian bridge was supposed to open next year to help students cross a busy road adjacent to the campus.

It was an accelerated, joint construction effort by two Florida companies: MCM Construction, a Miami-based contractor, and Figg Bridge Design, based in Tallahassee, who both have worked on dozens of projects nationwide, ranging from military facilities to schools.

“Innovations take a design firm into an area where they don’t have applicable experience, and then we have another unexpected failure on our hands,” Robert Bea, a professor of engineering and construction management at the University of California, Berkeley, told the Associated Press…

Penn Law Professor Under Fire By Leftist Assclowns For Stating That Black Students Rarely Graduate In Top Half Of Class – Washington Times
.

.
A University of Pennsylvania law school professor is facing backlash after she claimed that black students rarely graduate high in their class. Amy Wax, a tenured professor at the Ivy League institution, will continue to teach electives outside of the first-year curriculum but will be removed from teaching required courses, Penn Law Dean Theodore Ruger said in a statement Wednesday.

Ms. Wax made the comments while discussing affirmative action during a September interview with Brown University professor Glenn Loury titled, “The Downside to Social Uplift.”

“Here’s a very inconvenient fact, Glenn: I don’t think I’ve ever seen a black student graduate in the top quarter of the class, and rarely, rarely, in the top half,” Ms. Wax said at the time…

Britain’s Top News Source Banned By YouTube For ‘Violating Community Standards’ – Breitbart

YouTube has banned the official channel of The Daily Mail, one of the United Kingdom’s longest-running tabloid newspapers.

Users navigating to the newspaper’s official YouTube page as of Saturday evening (EST) are greeted by a page informing them that the account has been suspended for violating “community guidelines.”

The newspaper, founded in 1896, is a frequent target of the British left for its conservative positions. The paper backed the campaign for Brexit in 2016.

Links to previous videos from the official Daily Mail account are no longer operational, instead directing users to blank videos featuring an “account terminated” message.

Virgin Trains, the rail line run by Richard Branson, attempted to withdraw the Daily Mail from their onboard shops due to alleged “concern over their editorial positions,” it was reported this January…

NYPD Reportedly Hid Weinstein Accuser, Fearing District Attorney Would Sink Case – The Guardian
.

.
New York detectives investigating a 2015 sexual assault complaint against Harvey Weinstein physically “hid the victim” from staff working for the Manhattan district attorney, reportedly fearing she would be treated unfairly and the case dropped.

After an investigation in which one officer told New York magazine the NYPD went “above and beyond”, given what it saw as attempts by the DA’s office to undermine its work, DA Cyrus Vance did indeed decide not to prosecute.

NYPD investigators told the magazine they believed they had a strong case against Weinstein after an Italian model, Ambra Battilana, alleged that she had been sexually assaulted…

Russia Expels 23 British Diplomats In Retaliation – Zero Hedge

Having warned it would retaliate proportionately, this morning Russia did just that when it expelled 23 British diplomats – the same number as the UK kicked out a few days earlier as punishment for Moscow’s alleged poisoning of a former double agent.

It also ordered the closure of the UK consulate in St Petersburg and the Moscow British Council, a cultural and educational organization.

Russia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs summoned the British ambassador to Moscow and told him that the measures are “in response to the provocative actions of the British side and the unsubstantiated accusations” against Russia, the ministry said.

Russia gave the British diplomats one week to leave. “If further actions of an unfriendly nature are taken against Russia, the Russian side reserves the right to take other retaliatory measures,” the ministry said.

A spokeswoman for the U.K. Foreign Office said that Britain had anticipated Moscow’s response…

11 Republicans Challenge RINO Douchebag In Utah Senate Race – Philadelphia Inquirer
.

.
Eleven Republicans stepped forward before a Thursday evening filing deadline to challenge former Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney in the Utah Senate race, including a state lawmaker who says an “establishment insider” can’t fix problems in Washington.

Many of the candidates acknowledge the David-vs-Goliath nature of challenging the famous and popular Romney, but they say someone needs to keep the race to replace Republican Orrin Hatch from becoming a “coronation.”

“I think he’s just expecting to run away with this thing,” Republican candidate Sam Parker said. “There are really motivated individuals who are going to do their best to force their way into the conversation.”…
