FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe ‘Removed’ From The Bureau – Fox News
.

.
Top FBI official Andrew McCabe has been “removed” from his post as deputy director, Fox News is told, leaving the bureau after months of conflict-of-interest complaints from Republicans including President Trump.

A source confirmed to Fox News that McCabe is taking “terminal leave” – effectively taking vacation until he reaches his planned retirement in a matter of weeks. As such, he will not be reporting to work at the FBI anymore. The move was first reported by NBC News.

McCabe has long been a controversial figure at the bureau. Republicans have questioned McCabe’s ties to the Democratic Party, considering his wife ran as a Democrat for a Virginia Senate seat in 2015 and got financial help from a group tied to Clinton family ally Terry McAuliffe…

Woke Grammys See 20% Ratings Crash, Possible All-Time Low – Breitbart

Ratings for Sunday’s politically-charged 60th annual Grammy Awards broadcast on CBS dropped dramatically from a year ago, reportedly reaching “an all-time low.” Initial numbers, Deadline reports, show a 20% decline from last year’s Grammy ceremony:

With a 12.7/21 in metered market ratings, the Recording Academy’s big hootenanny was also way down from the early numbers for the LA-based February 13, 2017 59th annual show. By way down, I mean a just over 20% decline from last year to what looks to be an all-time low for the ceremony.

Music’s biggest night saw a series of political gestures in support of the #MeToo and Time’s Up anti-sexual harassment movements, as several stars wore white roses on their garments as a show of solidarity.

Rapper Kendrick Lamar, who dominated the night winning five Grammys, kicked off the Madison Square Garden event with an explosive performance of his hit song “XXX,” which featured American flags on giant screens above him…

Bomb Threats Target 25 Moscow Buildings, Force Evacuations Of Parliament, Stock Exchange – Zero Hedge

In an incident that recalls the “almost simultaneous” bomb threats across Russia back in September that resulted in the evacuation of 45,000 people, briefly disrupting life in Russia’s largest city, a bomb threat targeting 25 buildings in Moscow prompted mandatory evacuations of Russia’s upper house of Parliament and the city’s stock exchange, according to TASS.

The threats also targeted hospitals in the city, a source within the city’s security services told TASS.

“We received an anonymous call about an explosive device planted in the building. In line with the security requirements, the staff members were evacuated and checks at the building are underway,” the statement said.

Meanwhile, the State Duma, the lower house of parliament, received two bomb threats over the past four hours, the source said. Moscow’s famed Bolshoi Theater has also been targeted.

As we pointed out at the time, a wave of phone calls has swept across Russian cities and towns since September…

Leftist Nightmare Update: GOP Disarms Three More Obamacare Time Bombs Deployed By Democrats – American Spectator

Lost in all the sound and fury that accompanied the recent shutdown of the federal government was some good news for Americans facing ever increasing health care costs. Part of the price paid by the Democrats to get out of the hole they dug for themselves when they forced the shutdown was the suspension of three onerous Obamacare taxes – the medical device tax, the tax on premium (Cadillac) health plans, and the health insurance (HIT) tax.

All three were wildly unpopular with the voters, due to go into effect imminently, and would have made medical care even more expensive.

The 2.3 percent tax on medical devices, which went into effect on January 1, has long been billed by Obamacare advocates as a corporate tax. Like all taxes levied on corporations, however, it would have inevitably been passed on to the customer. And the customers affected by this particular excise tax are Americans who must have crucial medical devices such as pacemakers and artificial joints…

Koch Brothers Pledge Nearly $400 Million To Promote Conservative Policies, Republicans In Midterm Elections – Washington Examiner

The political network overseen by industrialist billionaires Charles and David Koch on Saturday pledged to spend nearly $400 million on the midterm elections to defend Republican majorities in Congress and in state legislatures across the country.

The Koch network, meeting for its annual winter donor conference near Palm Springs, Calif., said the investment would also focus on promoting conservative policies and was equal to a 60 percent increase over what it spent in the 2016 presidential election. The campaign was set to include a $20 million expenditure to promote the Republican tax overhaul passed and signed into law late last year.

“We’re all in,” Tim Phillips, president of Americans for Prosperity, told reporters during a news conference to kick off the conference at the Renaissance Esmeralda Indian Wells Resort and Spa.

Phillips conceded that the political environment for Republicans is “challenging,” though he declined to pin the blame on President Trump…

OPM would not say how much Brown is receiving and added that the details of an individual’s annuity are protected from public release under the Freedom of Information Act…

Law enforcement agencies in approximately 675 jurisdictions around the United States declined to comply with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement “detainer” requests and hand over to ICE removable aliens whom those jurisdictions had arrested for violating local laws, according to the Inspector General for the Department of Homeland Security.

According to the IG, this lack of cooperation from local law enforcement agencies has hindered ICE’s efforts to identify known or suspected foreign terrorists, who are inside the United States.

On Jan. 5, 2018, the IG issued a report – “ICE Faces Challenges to Screen Aliens Who May Be Known or Suspected Terrorists” – that discussed the issue.

“ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) faces challenges in implementing the Known or Suspected Terrorist Encounter Protocol (KSTEP) screening process, which is used to identify aliens who may be known or suspected terrorists,” the report said…

.

.
More than three dozen people in St. Lucie County have been busted for dealing drugs as part of ‘Operation Big Mi-Steak.’ Sheriff Ken Mascara said the drug bust was the result of long-term work that began a few year back when Oxycontin abuse became a problem in St. Lucie County.

“We knew and predicted that there would be collateral damage and that collateral damage is heroin and opioid addictions and that’s what we’re seeing now and dealing with now,” said Sheriff Mascara.

In 2016, he changed his mission for heroin overdoses. Sheriff Mascara said he had one or two detectives respond to every overdose, not to arrest the user but to find information on the dealer. He said that initiative paid off…
