Texas State Representative Steve Toth To File ‘Firearm Protection Act’

State Rep. Steve Toth To File ‘Firearm Protection Act’ – Cypress Creek Mirror

State Rep. Steve Toth (R-The Woodlands) has begun the process to file legislation assisting the protection of the Second Amendment of the United State Constitution.

The “Firearms Protection Act” bill would make any federal law banning semi-automatic firearms or limiting the size of gun magazines unenforceable within the state’s boundaries. Anyone trying to enforce a federal gun ban could face felony charges under the proposal.

“We can no longer depend on the Federal Government and this Administration to uphold a Constitution that they no longer believe in. The liberties of the People of Texas and the sovereignty of our State are too important to just let the Federal Government take them away. The overreach of the federal administrations executive orders that are do not align with the Constitution, are not very popular here in Texas,” said Toth.

Along with Wyoming, Texas will lead the country in continuing to stand for the sovereignty to run Texas as Texans see fit while exercising the Bill of Rights Amendments 2 & 10 to “prevent misconstruction or abuse of its powers… [to] extending the ground of public confidence in the Government.”

Along with Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott, who has already filed more than 23 suits against the Federal Government, Toth will continue to stand with other Texans to encouraging the promotion of personal responsibility and liberties while actively guarding against outside parties attempting to erode the freedoms enjoyed by Texans so that the people of Texas may have more confidence in their government.

  1. I am not in your district but I want to let you know that I admire you for standing up for Texans rights to bear arms. Please continue to fight. Someone has to stop this power mad president who issues executive orders every time the people disagree with him. This government is becoming nothing more than a dictatorship. Obama is in office to SERVE THE PEOPLE-not the other way around. He must be stopped now.

  2. ELECTRONIC RECORDS! Obamacare = gun control. WHY was a universal medical record keeping system included in the bill? To make sure you received top medical treatment when you need it…no matter where in the world you may be, right? WRONG! If anyone in a home is on antidepressants, all guns must be removed. If anyone admits to their Dr. they have been feeling a little blue lately, guns all removed. Your Dr. will now be spying on you!! You idiot liberals. If your Dr. treats you and doesn’t ask you if there are guns in the house, he will be fined. Your Dr. will be a government spy. You move a parent in the home with you that is on anti depressants..you lose your gun. If your teen is being treated, you lose your guns.

  3. Sir, Those who don’t stand up for their rights have no rights,(NOR DO THEY DESERVE ANY RIGHTS) ! We THE PEOPLE need to impeach oboma and unseal (ALL) of his personal records. After all, if you have nothing to hide then (WHAT) are you hiding? And finally, he should be held accountable for (ALL) of his acts of treason against THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and it’s citizens thereof.

  4. Hey,while we’re at it why don’t we remove all the other things from our homes that can be used to kill people like poisons>pesticides, bricks from the flowerbed, crowbars in the garage etc. If someone really wants to hurt someone their going to find a way to do it (EVEN IF THEY DON”T HAVE A GUN). I agree (GUNS DON’t KILL PEOPLE,PEOPLE KILL PEOPLE). If guns are so bad then why does everyone around him have one? But we Americans are fair people…………When he gives his guns up (THEN) we’ll give ours up. Or maybe he’s just more important than us and our families. Well,at least he seems to think so? By the way, who is this guy, I mean really?

    1. Rep. Toth, Who is this man that threatens my religious beliefs and violates my right to privacy AND decides what I’m going to put in my own body with MARCH 23rd’s chipping? Who is this man that wants to bankrupt our country and turn Americans against one another? And why does fema who is supposed to assist (with help) in times of emergencies carrying automatic weapons? Funny, none of femas first graduation class looks American to me? WAKE UP AMERICA!
