Democrats, George Soros, The Race Card, And Cloward-Piven?

Stacy McCain has been connecting dots, and what he finds ought to scare the Hell out of all of us.

Yesterday, I linked Joel Gerhke’s Examiner story in a post titled “Great: Corporate America Now Paying Democrats to Call Americans Racist,” which mentioned that the 2010 annual report for Maya Wiley’s Center for Social Inclusion (PDF, see Page 13) “lists many of the usual suspects, including George Soros’s Open Society Institute and the Soros-funded Tides Foundation.”

Operating in “file-and-forget” mode, I moved on to other stories until last night, when I was having fun on Twitter with the#ObamaBedtimeStories meme, and one of my jokes got re-Tweeted by my friend, investigative reporter Matthew Vadum. Because Matthew is perhaps the nation’s leading expert on the ACORN/SEIU/Soros connection, it occurred to me he might be able to get some data on the Soros connection to what Gehrke had reported. So I sent him a couple of Tweets about it. By the time I got up about 7 a.m. today, Vadum had sent me a spreadsheet listing foundation contributions to Wiley’s outfit. Quickly adding up the numbers and doing additional research online, within two-and-a-half hours I’d filed this brief report for The American Spectator:

A non-profit organization that provided training last week to House Democrats, portraying Republican opponents as racially motivated, has received significant funding from foundations linked to controversial left-wing multibillionaire George Soros.
Soros’s Open Society Institute has given $75,000 to the Center for Social Inclusion, which has also received more than $850,000 from the Soros-connectedTides Foundation/Tides Center since 2005, according to documents obtained by The American Spectator.
In a training session for House Democrats and their congressional staffers last week, Center for Social Inclusion founder and president Maya Wiley described “conservative messages” as being “racially coded,” and suggested that Democrats “raise racial disparities” in public policy discussions, Joel Gerhke of the Washington Examiner reported. . . .
The Soros-Wiley connection was noted by Matthew Vadum of the Capital Research Center. Vadum, an investigative reporter and American Spectatorcontributor, is author of the widely-praised recent bookSubversion, Inc., an exhaustive exposé of ACORN. Wiley’s background also drew attention from Michelle Horstman of PJ Media, who noted that Maya Wiley is the daughter of 1960s radical George Wiley, founder of the National Welfare Rights Organization.

Please read the whole thing. Connecting the dots to the National Welfare Rights Organization links the Center for Social Inclusion to the “Cloward-Piven Strategy,” a 1960s left-wing effort to foment economic crisis and social revolution. This direct connection between the Soros-funded radical network and congressional Democrats could prove to be a major story, if Gerhke follows up on his original scoop and other reporters begin asking questions about why Democrats are getting election-year advice from such a controversial source.

There is lots more, be sure to read it all. The Communist dream of bringing America down never died, it just took on different forms, and disguised itself in many ways, but the intent has always been there.

Rio Norte Line looks at Maya Wiley

I looked at the website of the Center for Social Inclusion to check up on Maya…and guess who was in her bio?

A veritable who’s who of left wing activism and one a hell of a lot of money…

Geroge Soros (Open Society Foundation), The Tides Foundation/Tides Center funded by Teresa Heinz-Kerry (The Heinz Endowment), The Ford Foundation, The Rockefeller Foundation and the ACLU.

Maya Wiley is the founder and President of the Center for Social Inclusion. A civil rights attorney and policy advocate, Maya has litigated, lobbied the U.S. Congress and developed programs to transform structural racism in the U.S. and in South Africa.

Accuracy in Media looks at Cloward-Piven, and that voter fraud the Left is fighting so hard to protect by fighting against voter ID laws.

This report reveals the Left’s vote fraud strategy for the 2012 elections. Like a KGB operation, it is thorough, multi-faceted and redundant. It has overt and covert, illegal and legal elements, the latter of which are designed, at least in part, to facilitate illegal activities later. It is a deliberate, premeditated, comprehensive plan to win the 2012 presidential election at all costs, and is in keeping with the organizational methods, associations and ethics of the Community-Organizer-in-Chief, Barack Obama.

The Left seeks fundamental structural change to our entire form of government. In keeping with their amoral, means-justifies-ends philosophy, they will register any voters, dead or alive, legal or illegal, who will then vote as many times as possible, in order to establish a “permanent progressive majority.” As two New York Democrats recently caught in a vote fraud scandal told police, “voter fraud is an accepted way of winning elections…”

As I have said, the Left has been working very hard to make sure as many of us are dependent upon the Liberal policies of the Left. This is a way of the Left insuring a firm hold on political power.

This strategy has been under development for decades. They have constructed an entire industry devoted to this task and pursue a multifaceted strategy to accomplish it:

1. Swamp election officials with overwhelming numbers of registrations at the last possible minute, a huge proportion of which are deliberately fraudulent, in order to create systematic chaos. This accomplishes numerous goals:

  • Makes verification of registrations difficult, given the small size and limited budgets of state and local election offices.
  • Provides multiple opportunities for vote fraud.
  • Throws the entire voting process into question, providing pretext for lawsuits where concessions may be obtained from election officials.
  • When election officials challenge registrations, they are accused of “voter suppression.” This in turn serves complementary goals:
    • Charge of “voter suppression” reinforces the Left’s narrative about America as an oppressive, “racist” country.
    • Publicity and lawsuits intimidate election officials, who settle on terms favorable to the Left.

2. Activists sue state authorities for “voter suppression,” creating further chaos and pressuring them to become de facto taxpayer-funded voter registration operations;

3. Eric Holder’s Justice Department tacitly supports voter intimidation tactics, sues states and backs private lawsuits, and resists reform as “voter suppression.”

4. Leftist echo chamber discredits allegations of vote fraud, supports “suppression” theme, and promotes advantageous legislation.

The ultimate goal is a systematized, taxpayer-funded voting machinery that will guarantee maximum participation from the Left’s voting demographic while undermining the ability to manage elections and prevent fraud.

Much much more at the link, go read it all. As I have predicted, and I am certainly not alone here, this election will be unlike any other in our lifetime. The Democrats will do ANYTHING to win!
