Man Attempts Suicide By Overdosing On Flintstones Vitamins; Beats Up Girlfriend For Trying To Stop Him – Weekly Vice

Aaron Hostetler, a 21-year-old Florida man was jailed after he allegedly assaulted his girlfriend when she tried to stop him from overdosing on Flintstones Vitamins.

According to the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office, Hostetler’s girlfriend was attempting to break up with him when he reportedly claimed that he intended to commit suicide. He then began swallowing what his girlfriend thought were sleeping pills.

Investigators say the girlfriend tried to stop Hostetler from taking the pills, but he slammed her to the ground. Officers were called to the scene and Hostetler was apprehended. An officer stated that Hostetler admitted that the pills were just Flintstones vitamins.

Hostetler was booked into the Manatee County Jail and charged with domestic battery. He was released after posting $4,250 bond. He is scheduled to appear in court on December 6th.

  1. Oh yeah, real shocking that this domestic came out of Florida. I’m starting to think that there is some truly ‘special’ about the state. Something in the water? Something in the meth? Why is there a consistently disproportionate amount of white-trash-quality news events emerging from the sunny neighbor to the south? I hope the jackass at least tried to OD on the sour-gummies Flintstones; at least they taste pretty good.
