A young boy helped an Austin police officer find drugs they say his mother was trying to hide.
Police arrested 22-year-old Johnisha Terry for tampering with evidence and possession of marijuana. She was a passenger in a car police pulled over for a minor traffic violation Monday.
Officers say Terry started fumbling under her seat. After pulling her out, the officer did a search of the car.
Terry’s three-year-old son asked the officer if he had found his mother’s weed. The boy then pointed to where the officer could find it, under the passenger seat.
Terry was also wanted for three outstanding warrants. Her bail has been set at $5,000.
