Whenever a situation arises where the Left can cast blame on the “hateful Right” they usually jump with both feet, never looking at facts, or waiting for evidence. Such is the case in the awful episode yesterday in Arizona, where Rep. Gabrielle Giffords was shot in the head by some wacked out mad man. six people, including a nine-year-old girl, and a federal judge were killed, and Giffords survived, thankfully. The Left, however, once more have displayed their complete lack of character, moral fortitude, and common decency by seeking to blame anyone and everyone on the right for this heinous act. Here is a roundup of the despicable behavior of the usual suspects. Odd, that once again, the leanings of this nut job are to the Left, not the Right.
Rather than praying for Giffords, the Left attacked Palin,Beck, and OF COURSE the Tea Party!
The left jumped the gun and assumed Jared Loughner would be a right-wing nut. He is actually a left-wing nut.
Here are some of Jane Fonda’s shameful tweets.
What does the Ft. Hood massacre, and Saturday’s Arizona massacre have in common? Almost nothing
With Ft. Hood, an open islamist gunned down dozens in an attack he all but said he was going to launch, and the best the Left could do was blame America’s love of guns while preaching that we cannot rush to judgment. To this day apologists on the left still will not bring themselves to conclude that Major Hasan was a Jihad terrorist animated by radical Islam.
On the other hand, the blood hasn’t even been mopped up yet in Tucson, and disgusting opportunists on the Left have already declared the Arizona massacre an official act of the Tea Party:
This is real the story here. These people, including a 9 year-old girl, were gunned down today. I think I can safely speak for all of the contributors and readers here when I say that our prayers are with the families of the deceased, and with the survivors as well.
Now, it should end there. In the last post, I showed that the accused shooter is clearly mentally ill. His writing indicates someone who is psychotic. The video I showed, was apparently just the tip of the iceberg, and there are more videos and writings on line that clarify the mental illness hypothesis.
However, the “progressives” cannot let a crisis go to waste. In the earlier post, I linked to a tweet by Markos Moulitsas. owner of the Daily Kos. Here’s a screencap.
Apparently the left’s degree of hate is so large and their sense of honor so non-existent that the death of a 8-year-old girl and a federal judge is just another club to hit republicans in general and Sarah Palin in particular.
Listening to CSPAN this morning the template has already been made and it will be used against talk radio, the Tea Party etc. Facts be damned. What despicable people.
Looking at this analytically it is 30+ years since a member of congress was slain (the Jim Jones situation) and the last time a congressman was shot was back in the 30′s and that was an era when gun control was almost unheard of. The risk of this type of thing is a lot less than people think.
There are many basic responsibilities and duties of being a member of congress. Meeting with the people you represent constituents one of them. There is also a degree of risk inherent in being a public figure. I would remind every single member of congress that every single one of them begged the people for this job. There is nothing wrong with being careful but if you choose to use this as an excuse to dodge those you represent than you need to resign now.
As it has been said by Rahm Emanuel , never let a crisis go to waste: Expect people some to use this to ban guns and to stifle debate. I think this is a simple reality and complaining about it isn’t going to help, all one can do is call them out on it.
Doug Powers reports that The Westboro Bastards are set to slime some publicity over this. One day someone will kill one or more of these leeches.Lord knows that if that were my child, I would likely do it.
In spite of all that, however, there is one issue on which everyone can find common ground: loathing these animals:
Former three-time Democrat gubernatorial candidate Fred Phelps Jr. (commonly called just “Fred Phelps”) and his Westboro Hate Group have announced plans to disrupt the funeral of 9 year-old shooting victim Christina Greene.
Christina was murdered by Jared Lee Loughner yesterday in his assassination attempt on Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords. The little girl was born on September 11th, 2001, so her parents have been cursed with a horrific trifecta of high profile trauma: their daughter born on the worst day in our generations’ lives, their daughter murdered in an assassination attempt on a member of Congress, and Democrat Fred Phelps aiming his hate machine at their family during their daughter’s funeral.
Is there a rubber-hose wielding psychiatrist in the house?
Fire Andrea Mitchell asks if the Left ever ponders THEIR OWN vitriol?

Hell on Earth takes down the “Brain-Free Media”
Ah, once again we have the lame-brain media and their clueless sycophants pointing fingers at conservatives and Republicans without any evidence this nut-job was either. Remember, if it weren’t for us conservatives, there’d be no money taken in from income taxes with which to pay Democrat voters’ welfare payments.
Firstly, remember this country was CREATED by gun-toting individualists who feared and hated big government. Advocating kicking anyone out today who believes in those same principles is the same as advocating the destruction of the very basis of this country and Constitution. Calling those of us who still believe in those principles “un-American” is the same as calling our Founding Fathers “un-American,” which can only be comprehensible to those who have no knowledge of the history of the founding of the United States of America.
Secondly, is there any indication that this individual had any Republican affiliation or even knew the difference between Republicans and Democrats, or had ever listened to any conservative broadcasters? The man was obviously deranged, and was known to be deranged for a long time. Why, then, was he allowed to buy a handgun? This was a failure in Arizona’s or the county’s system of reporting.
Thirdly, remember that almost every single act of domestic terrorism has been committed by left-wing criminals and nutjobs, some of which are good buddies with our President. Bill Ayers and Bernadette Dohrn and their associates have killed more people than all my firearms and my friends’ firearms combined. If Jared Lee Loughner goes in front of a judge and professes to be a Democrat, he’ll be a tenured college professor in a few years. Every time an incident occurs, the mainstream, brain-free media find ways to report it as being done by a conservative angry at the government, yet they invariably turn out to be wrong–which they never acknowledge. The guy who flew the plane in to the IRS building was a left-wing nut. Eco-tard groups such as ELF account for much of the domestic terrorism, yet they are not identified as left-wing groups.
The LCR has this from Sheriff Dipshit
Maybe Pima County, AZ would be a safe place to live if it had a sheriff who would enforce the law. Maybe the sheriff should spend less time trying to blame all the world’s problems on talk radio and the tea party…Via Gateway Pundit:Pima County AZ Sheriff Clarence Dupnik blamed the “prejudice and vitriol” in Arizona for the shooting today. For the record: The shooter and the victims were white. He also wags a finger at talk radio commentators and sundry boogeymen, but here’s the money quote:
But again I’d just like to say that when you look at unbalanced people, how they respond to the vitriol that comes out of certain people’s mouths about tearing down the government, the anger, the hatred, the bigotry that goes on in this country is getting to be outrageous. And, unfortunately, Arizona I believe has become sort of the capital. We have become the Mecca for prejudice and bigotry.
The Palin-Derangment Syndrome sufferers couldn’t wait to lay this at her doorstep, recalling her Facebook page on which she had “picked her targets” in the last campaign, of which Representative Giffords was one. The denouncements rang out loud and numerous, connecting the two. And then reminders that Sarah Palin, a Republican wasn’t the only one to use such a practice, but then, some reminders that the Democratic Leadership Committee had used the practice in 2004, and that the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, under the leadership of Chris Van Holland had posted a similar map earlier in the same year as Palin’s map. And the denunciatory tweets slowed.
Then, we found out about the shooter’s channel on youtube, on which he posted rambling, incoherent texts about “conscious dreaming” general hatred of the government, and lists among his favorite books Mein Kampf and The Communist Manifesto. Now the usual suspects started to get quiet. Maybe it was because it was hard to denounce the eeeeevvvvviillll Reich Wingers for their hate-filled vitriolic speech when you’re busy scrubbing your website and pushing things down the memory hole that are so obviously hypocritical that even your regular readers would have a hard time not seeing how foolish you look. And the wave of snarky tweets slowed, and the raised hands pointing fingers were slowly and quietly lowered.
But the slow rumble continued. Discussion of “motives” and “filters” and “vitriolic speech” continued.
PO’ED Patriot reminds us what a scumbag Geraldo is
William Teach: ENOUGH!
Rics Rulez: Here they go blaming guns again!
The Other McCain has another very good roundup. Including this.
Now that Loughner’s personality is coming into focus, we see that he wasn’t really into politics at all. His crime targeted a politician and, once he began his descent into madness, his online rantings had what might be called a pseudo-political aspect, but it is impossible to categorize his beliefs according to any normal political spectrum because, as I said before, “crazy” is not an ideology.
When people go crazy, their sick minds may fixate on any number of things. John Hinckley fixated on Jodie Foster. Mark Chapman fixated on John Lennon. Trying to blame Loughner’s pseudo-political obsessions on the Tea Party or Sarah Palin is like blaming Taxi Driver for Hinckley’s murderous madness.
